The inhibitory effect of Chung-Jang-Hwan (C-mix) consisted of Geranium nepalense subsp. thunbergii, Saururus chinensis, and Rubus coreanus were investigated in dextran sulfate sodium (DSS)-induced colitic mice by microarray analysis. Treatment with Cmix improved colitic symptoms, including colon shortening and myeloperoxidase activity. Treatment with DSS alone upregulated the expression levels of inflammation-related genes, including IL-$1\beta$, IL-6, CCL2, CCL4, CCL5, CCL7, CCL8, CCL24, CXCL1, CXCL2, CXCL5, CXCL9 and CXCL10, and other colitis-related genes such as COX-2, PAP, MMP family, S100a8, S100a9 and DEFA1 in mice. However, treatment with C-mix inhibited the expression levels of inflammation-associated genes induced by DSS. The increased expression levels of COX-2 and IL-$1\beta$, representative inflammatory genes, were confirmed by a quantitative realtime polymerase chain reaction analysis. These results indicate that C-mix may ameliorate colitis by the inhibitory regulation of inflammation-associated genes.

This paper deals with recognizing ten korean voiced vowels using Self Organizing Map. SOM is a good classifier. The output layer is composed of two dimensions. The input vector is the frequency values having the characteristic of voiced vowels. The short time frequency transform is used getting input vector. The final neural networks is attached SOM output layer.

This paper explains the walking robot with 4 legs. One leg is composed of 4 dc server motors and have 4 d.o.f. This walking robot has simple structure using "the principle of lever". The structure of robot models the 4 legs´ animal such as dog. The walking patterns is various and complex. With inspecting the walking dogs, the walking motions implemented by patterns. The center of mass is important of this type robot. The significant issue of walking is weight. As the weight is lighter, so the robot well walks. The method of walking is patterns.

본 논문은 Self Organizing Map을 이용한 한국어의 모음 10개를 인식하는 것을 다루고 있다. 분류기로서 우수한 성능을 보이고 있는 Self Organizing Map의 출력 층을 2차원으로 구성하여 짧은 시간 간격으로 주파수 도메인에서 벡터화 되어진 음성을 입력 층에 인가하여 유사한 출력 층의 분포를 이용하여 모음 10개를 인식하는 분류기로서의 가능성을 보여줄 것이다.
