  • Nylon was the first commercialized synthetic fiber. It is a polyamide, derived from a diamine and dicarboxylic acid. The nylon fiber has outstanding durability and excellent physical properties such as stiffness, wear and abrasion resistance, friction coefficient and chemical resistance. Due to these properties of nylon 66, nano-sized fibers are produced by electrospinning method in this study. During the past years the nylon 66 fibers have been prepared by conventional melt spining.   • In variable-speed variable-pitch wind turbines, the conventional approach for controlling power-production operation relies on a generator-torque controller and a rotor-collective blade-pitch controller. Both controllers use the generator speed measurement as the sole feedback input. In order to mitigate unwanted excitation of the control system, many filters are adopted. In this study, the characteristics of some filters for signal processing are investigated based on frequency response function. They include low-pass filters, band-pass filters, and notch filters. Especially, this study focuses on design parameters of their filters.

  • In this paper, field application of mass concreting using super retarding agent(SRA) are discussed based on setting. time difference with SRA in big discount market in Chongju. Mechanical and physical properties of .concrete are investigated. Temperature history of concrete is also measured. Slump and air content meet the requirement of target value. Compressive strength of concrete exceeded the nominal strength with 24MPa. Compressive strength of SRA concrete is higher than that of plain concrete by about $3\~4\%$. For temperature history, peak temperature of concrete at middle section at top concrete layer reached $49.6^{\circ}C$ within 24hours, and at bottom concrete layer, $54.6^{\circ}C$ within 42hours. Based on the naked eye's observation, no crack was found at mass concrete.

  • Aspergillus sp. CX-l strain grown on microcrystalline cellulose resulted in the accumulation of high levels of cellulase and xylanase activities that were higher by two to four folds than those from the conventional commercial producer, Trichoderma reesei QM9414. Aspergillus sp. CX-1 demonstrated greater thermo stability and better catalytic characteristics of total cellulase activity (FPase) as compared to T. reesei and Aspergillus niger F-2039.

  • The general cooling tower is a device for making a cooling water in refrigerant condensers or industrial process heat exchangers. The present cooling tower have defects with noises, complicated structure and environmental problems. In this paper, we constituted a new water cooling system by using a evaporating latent heat in an enclosed tank, and this system is consisted of an enclosed vacuum tank and water driving ejector system. Several experimental cases were carried out for improvement methods of high vacuum pressure and water cooling characteristics. The ejector performance was tested in case of water temperature variations that flows in the ejector. Based on the vacuum pressure by water driving ejector, the water cooling characteristics were investigated for the vaporized air condensing effects.

  • We analyzed lignin content and wxpression of OMT gene during growth season in two hybrid poplar species. OMT gene expression was observed mainy in the developing secondary xylem where major quantity of lignin occurs. Lignin content in the xylem tissue increased as plant resumed growth in the spring and reached the highest in the late August. Change in lignin content was concurrent with that of OMT gene expression, indicating OMT is a key enzyme in lignin biosynthesis.

  • In order to investigate the electrical properties of naphthanic transformer oils for insulating and cooling, the characteristics for breakdown in temperature range of $20{\sim}100[^{\circ}C]$, that of AC breakdown in 1.0[mm] of gap length were made researches. As a result the characteristics for AC breakdown, it is confirm that the dielectric strength was increased to 6[ppm], 9[ppm] but decreased to 3[ppm].

  • The crystal structure of phthalylsulfacetamide, one of the long-acting 'sulfa' drugs, has been determined by the X-ray diffraction methods. The crystal is monoclinic with cell dimensions of a = 7.980(3), b = 12.784(2), c = 18.064(7) ${\AA}$ and ${\beta}$= $112.94(2)^{\circ}$, space group $P2_1$/c and Z = 4. The structure was solved by the direct methods and refined to R = 0.048. The sulfonylacetamide moiety is folded with respect to the central phenyl ring and the benzamide and benzoyl planes are nearly perpendicular to each other. This conformation is consistent with those of the relevant molecules containing the corresponding moieties. All of the molecules in the crystal lattice are connected by a three-dimensional hydrogen bonding network.

  • The crystal structure of metoclopramide, $C_14H_22ClN_3O_2$, has been determined by X-ray diffraction techniques using diffractometer data obtained by the ${\omega}-2{\theta}$ scan technique with Mo $K\alpha$ radiation from a crystal with space group symmetry $P{\overline{1}}$ and unit cell parameters a = 7.500(1), b = 8.707(2), c = 13.292(2) ${\AA}$; ${\alpha}$ = 101.70(2), ${\beta}$ = 81.20(2), and ${\gamma}$ = $114.90(l)^{\circ}$. The sructure was solved by direct methods and refined by full-matrix least-squares to a final R = 0.055 for the 1524 observed reflections. The bent overall-conformation of the molecule seems to be determined mainly by the bifurcated intramolecular hydrogen bond from the amide nitrogen atom to the methoxy oxygen and the amine nitrogen atoms. The crystal packing consists of the hydrogen bonds, ${\pi}-{\pi}$ interaction and hydrophobic interaction.
