  • Objectives : The purpose of this study is to find out the relation between Orthopedic Test of sacroiliac joint and two Sacrum Malposition Tests. Methods : We investigated 56 cases of patients who complained of unilateral sacroiliac joint pain and were diagnosed as sacrum malposition. We used Gaenslen's Test, Sacroiliac Resisted Abduction Test and Patric's Test as Orthopedic Test for pain area, while used Thompson's Sacrum Test and Greenman's 4 Point Test for diagnosis of sacrum malposition. Results : P-value was 0.511 between Thompson's Sacrum Test and Greenman's 4 Point Test within negative Orthopedic Test, and was 0.523 within positive Orthopedic Test(p>0.05) Conclusions : The results suggested that the Thompson's Sacrum Test was not statistically correlation with Greenman's 4 Point Test within negative Orthopedic Test, and was not correlated within positive Orthopedic Test.

  • Objectives : The purpose of this study is to find out the relation between 4th lumbar rotational malposition and scoliosis. Methods : We investigated 22 cases of patients who were diagnosed as scoliosis. We used AP & Lateral view X-ray for patients. And we analysed the relation between 4th lumbar rotational malposition and scoliosis. Results : P-value was 0.436 between 4th lumbar rotational amount and lordotic angle, and was 0.758 between 4th lumbar rotational amount and wedge angle(p>0.05). And p-value was 0.022 between 4th lumbar rotational amount and scoliotic apex rotational amount(p<0.05), but was 0.286 between 4th lumbar rotational amount and Cobb's angle(p>0.05). Conclusions : The results suggest that 4th lumbar rotational malposition was statistically correlation with scoliotic apex rotational malposition, was not Cobb's angle, 4th lumbar lordotic & wedge angle.

  • Objectives : The purpose of this study is to find out the factors affecting the cervical angle with kyphosis. Methods : We investigated 340 cases of patients who had cervical kyphosis. We used cervical angle, flexion malposition angle, odontoid process cline angle, axis-atlas cline angle, odontoid process-atlas cline angle and occiput-atlas cline angle. Correlations between cervical angle and flexion malposition angle, odontoid process cline angle, axis-atlas cline angle, odontoid process-atlas cline angle, occiput-atlas cline angle were analyzed by pearson correlation analysis. Results : The correlation between cervical angle and flexion malposition angle was p-value 0.007, and odontoid process cline angle was p-value 0.002, and axis-atlas cline angle was p-value 0.000, and odontoid process-atlas cline angle was p-value 0.000, and occiput-atlas cline angle was p-value 0.012. Conclusions : Flexion malposition angle, odontoid process cline angle are inversely proportional to cervical angle. And correlation is statistically significant(p<0.01). Axis-atlas cline angle, odontoid process-atlas cline angle are proportional to cervical angle. And correlation is statistically significant(p<0.01). Occiput-atlas cline angle is proportional to cervical angle. And correlation is statistically significant(p<0.05).

  • Objectives This study aimed to explore literature evidence regarding Chuna manual therapy for premature infants and determine its applicability. Methods Eight electronic databases were searched, and randomized control trials (RCTs) applying Chuna manual therapy to premature infants were sought. The Cochrane risk of bias tool was employed to assess the methodological quality of each RCT. Results Two RCTs met the inclusion criteria and were subjected to analysis. Each study compared the usual care group with the pediatric Chuna group. The results indicated improvements in nutritional status, a reduction in hospitalization days, and enhancements in growth indicators. Conclusions Chuna manual therapy is worth applying to premature infants. However, evidence is limited due to a lack of well-designed RCTs. More qualified clinical trials are needed to obtain stronger evidence.

  • Objectives : To determine the effectiveness of Chuna manual therapy for neck pain Methods : We searched 7 electronic databases(OASIS, NDSL, Ovid-MEDLINE, Ovid-EMBASE, Cochrane library, AMED, CNKI) to find all Randomized controlled trials that used Chuna manual therapy as a treatment for neck pain. The methodological quality of each RCT was assessed by the Cochrane risk of bias tool. Results : 7 RCTs met our inclusion criteria. The meta-analysis of 7 studies showed favorable results for the use of Chuna manual therapy. High risk of bias were observed for performance bias and detection bias. Conclusions : Our systematic review found favorable results using Chuna manual therapy for neck pain. But there are several limitations in our study due to lack of well-designed RCT. To obtain stronger evidence, further clinical trials would be needed.

  • Objectives This study examined recent domestic and international clinical research trends in Gua sha therapy to suggest future direction for research. Methods We used six domestic and international databases (Research Information Sharing Service, Korean studies Information Service System, Oriental Medicine Advanced Searching Integrated System, PubMed, Embase, Cochrane Library) to select clinical studies with an original text in English or Korean published after 2018. Results Finally, 55 studies were selected. Randomized controlled trials accounted for the largest amount with 42 studies. Instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization was the most frequent term referring to Gua sha. Muscle shortening, limited range of motion, and plantar fasciitis were the most common symptoms, with six cases each. Additionally, there were two studies targeting symptoms other than the musculoskeletal system. Conclusions Additional research is needed on the effects of Gua sha therapy on the back of the lower extremities and hip joints, and research is needed on the possibility of their clinical use for diseases or symptoms other than those of the musculoskeletal system. And standards for the terminology of Gua sha and the types and methods of applied interventions are needed.

  • Objectives : To determine the effectiveness of Chuna manual therapy for headache Methods : We searched 6 electronic databases(Pubmed, CAJ, Oasis, RISS, DBPIA, KoreanTK) and 2 journals up to Oct 2015. We included randomized controlled trials(RCTs) using Chuna manual therapy for headache. The methodological quality of each RCT was assessed by the Cochrane risk of bias tool. Results : 9 RCT studies were eligible in our review. The meta-analysis of 6 studies showed favorable results for the use of Chuna manual therapy. High risk of bias were observed in all studies. Conclusions : Although there are favorable results with meta-analysis, our systematic review arehighly dependent on the single source of Chinese electrical database, CAJ. Now limited evidence is available tosupport Chuna manual therapy for headache and further well-designed RCTs should be encouraged.

  • Objectives : The purpose of this research is to find out the effect of Korean Medicine Treatment Including Chuna Manual Therapy with on patients who were diagnosed as Knee Osteoarthritis. Methods : Chuna Manual Therapy was proceeded on 4 patients who received treatment at ${\bigcirc}{\bigcirc}$ Korean Medicine Hospital from Februrary, 2018 to September, 2018. In addition, We also kept a record of NRS, EQ-5D and WOMAC on the day of admission and discharge to find out the differences between initial and final figures. Results : As a result, Chuna Manual Therapy showed a significant effect on alleviating pain on patients with Knee Osteoarthritis. There was a significant decrease in NRS, WOMAC scores. Not only did the scores of NRS and WOMAC decrease significantly, but also the figures of EQ-5D increased significantly as well. Conclusions : This research suggests Korean Medicine Treatment Including Chuna Manual Therapy could be a remedy for Knee Osteoarthritis.
