졸-겔법에 의한 $\gamma-LiAlO_2$ 단섬유의 제조 (Preparation of $\gamma-LiAlO_2$ Short Fibers by the Sol-Gel Method)

  • Discontinuous ${\gamma}$-LiAlO2 fibers for fiber-reinforcing MCFC matrixes have been produced by the sol-gel process using the centrifugal spinning apparatus of the Rotary type. Gel fibers could be obtained through spinning of stable LiAlO2 complex polymetric sols under the optimum spinning conditions (hollow-disc rotating velocity 9000 rpm sol feeding rate of 4ml/min flowing N2 temperature of 4$0^{\circ}C$ and flowing N2 pressure of 4 bar). It was found that defect free and densified ${\gamma}$-LiAlO2 fibers with the relative density of 98% and the mean diameter of 4.7${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ were prepared when the spinned fibers were heat-treated to 100$0^{\circ}C$ on the specified heating schedule. in particular the mean diameter and length of fibers could be controlled by the pressure of flowing N2 and the chopping-sieving method respectively.

  • The forming and design method of D.C thyristor chopper circuit for DC Series motor control is suggested, ard the computation method of thyristor commutaing element's, value which makes it all the more important, is possible. Also the trigger circuit was dealt with. In this paper, in order to control the duty cycle, the duty time is kept on constancy and variable chopping frequency was adopted. By above mentioned circuit design method, the D.C thyristor chopper circuit was implemented and tested. In this circuit, the result of D.C motor control was good and reliable. The relation between the $K_{d}$ and the ratio of input-output current, or the characteristic of speed was varied lineary at the range 0.1 ~ 0.9 of duty cycle. This confirms the fact that D.C to D.C power conversion which is the merit of chopper control is operated most likely a transformer.ormer.

Software-based Simple Lock-in Amplifier and Built-in Sound Card for Compact and Cost-effective Terahertz Time-domain Spectroscopy System

  • A typical terahertz time-domain spectroscopy system requires large, expensive, and heavy hardware such as a lock-in amplifier and a function generator. In this study, we replaced the lock-in amplifier and the function generator with a single sound card built into a typical desktop computer to significantly reduce the system size, weight, and cost. The sound card serves two purposes: 1 kHz chopping signal generation and raw data acquisition. A unique software lock-in (Python coding program to eliminate noise from raw data) method was developed and successfully extracted THz time-domain signals with a signal-to-noise ratio of ~40,000 (the intensity ratio between the peak and average noise levels). The built-in sound card with the software lock-in method exhibited sufficiently good performance compared with the hardware-based method.

전류보상 및 보호 기능을 갖는 BLU용 LED Driver IC설계 (LED driver IC design for BLU with current compensation and protection function)

  • 최근 LED 디스플레이 시스템이 활발히 보급됨에 따라서 시스템 구동을 위한 LED 드라이버의 효과적인 제어방법에 대한 연구가 진행 중이다. 그 중에 가장 대표적인 것이 LED Driver 채널의 균일한 밝기 제어이다. 본 논문 에서는 채널 휘도 편차 최소화를 위한 전류보상 및 시스템 보호 기능을 갖는 BLU용 LED driver IC를 제안하였다. 제안하는 LED Driver IC는 채널 간 ±3% 이내의 current accuracy와 150mA 채널 전류를 목표로 설계하였다. 설계 사양을 만족시키기 위해 채널 구동 PWM 신호를 이용한 chopping 동작을 수행하도록 하여 채널 앰프 옵셋을 상쇄할 수 있도록 하였다. 또한 pre-charge기능을 구현하여 빠른 동작 속도와 채널간 휘도 편차를 최소화할 수 있도록 하였다. LED에러(오픈, 쇼트), 스위치 TR 쇼트 감지 및 동작 온도 보호 회로를 설계하여 IC 및 BLU시스템을 보호할 수 있도록 하였다. 제안된 IC는 Cadence 및 Synopsys사의 Design Tool을 사용하여 설계 하였으며, Magnachip 0.35um CMOS 공정을 사용하여 제작되었다. 제작된 LED driver IC는 채널 간 ±1.5% 이내의 current accuracy와 150mA 채널 출력특성을 만족하였으며, 평가 보드를 통해 에러 검출 회로들이 정상 동작함을 확인하였다.

나이퀴스트 속도를 초과하는 제2종 부분응답 시스템의 설계 (Design of Class-II Partial-Response System above the Nyquist Rate)

  • 본 논문에서는, 제2종 $(1+D)^2$ 부분응답 시스템의 대역제한 여파기를 원하는 전송속도에 따라 한정함으로써 향상된 대역효율을 얻을 수 있는 새로운 모델을 제안하였다. 전송시스뎀의 스펙트럼을 나이퀴스트 속도 초과량만큼 절단하는 모델을 설정하고, 그 제반 특성을 시간영역 및 주파수영역에서 해석하여 기존의 시스템과 비교하였다. 제안된 시스템은 나이퀴스트 속도 이상에서 동작할 때, 그 고유의 속도융통성으로 보상하는 기존의 시스템에 비하여 우수한 성능을 나타낸다. 특히, 이러한 특성은 이전에 해석되었던 제1종 및 제4종 부분응답 시스템에 비하여 매우 효과적이어서, 속도융통성으로 약 26.6%까지 보상할 수 있었던 기존의 초과량을 약 40% 이상으로 향상시킬 수 있음을 확인하였다. 이는, 제2종 부분응답 시스템의 전달함수로 주어지는 상승여현 스펙트럼이, 동일한 양의 스펙트럼 절단에 대하여 그 주파수 성분이나 에너지의 손실을 효과적으로 상쇄한다는 사실에 근거를 둔다. 이를 입증하기 위하여, 설정된 모델의 사이드로브 상쇄효과를 보여주는 시간영역 해석과 그 실측패턴을 제시하고, 대역효율의 증가에 따르는 눈 모양의 변화와 전송신호의 스펙트럼 특성을 실험적으로 확인하였다.

  • There have been many changes in Subway train types since SeoulMetro opened the Line No.1 in 1974. Propulsion control device has changed many times following the generations of control method from resistance control method which uses large resistor for the traction motor control to chopping control which uses power semiconductors and finally to inverter control. Railroad vehicle propulsion control device refers to devices such as converter/inverter which supply power for subway operation, power conversion equipment like small switching-mode power supply and traction motor. In this paper, we will analyze every part of railroad vehicle propulsion control device of SeoulMetro so we can find problems in the subway operation. And we will present propulsion control device model which makes minimized failures, efficient maintenance possible when replacing railroad vehicle later. By doing this, we hope to ensure stability and improve energy efficiency to the top.

  • The automotive industry is moving from the internal combustion engine to electric drive motors. Electric motors uses a high voltage system requiring the development of resources and components to shield the system. Therefore, in this study, we analyze electromagnetic interference (EMI) shielding effectiveness (SE) characteristics of an auto crash pad according to the ratio of electrically conductive materials and propylene. In order to combine good mechanical characteristics and electromagnetic shielding of the automotive crash pad, metal-coated glass fiber (MGF) manufacturing methods are introduced and compared with powder-type methods. Through this study, among MGF methods, we suggest that the chopping method is the most effective shielding method.

Start-Up Current Control Method for Three-Phase PWM Rectifiers with a Low Initial DC-Link Voltage

  • When a PWM rectifier has a low DC-link voltage during startup, the output voltage vector cannot be high enough to regulate the input current. This lack of a PWM rectifier output voltage vector can cause an unregulated inrush current when the rectifier operation starts. This paper presents a PWM rectifier start-up current control algorithm for when it starts operation with a lower DC-link voltage than unloaded condition case. To avoid the unregulated inrush current caused by a lack of DC-link voltage, the proposed control scheme regulates the one phase current with one switch chopping and it generates the current command considering the uncontrolled current magnitude information, which is calculated in advance. Simulation and experiment results support the validity of the proposed method.

  • This paper proposes a novel active frequency drift (AFD) method for the islanding prevention of grid-connected photovoltaic inverter. To detect the islanding phenomenon of grid-connected photovoltaic (PV) inverters concerning about the safety hazards and the damage to other electric equipments, many kinds of anti-islanding methods have been presented. Among them, AFD method using chopping fraction enables the islanding detection to drift up (or down) the frequency of the voltage during the islanding situation. In this paper, injecting the periodic zero current into the basic AFD method is proposed. This proposed method shows the analytical design value of cf to meet the test procedure of IEEE Std. 1547 with various load conditions. Detection of islanding is verified using simulation tool PSIM.

  • This paper proposes novel algorithm for anti-islanding of grid-connected photovoltaic(PV) inverter. The islanding of PV systems can cause a variety of problems such as deterioration in power quality and electric shock. To prevent islanding, many anti-islanding methods are researched. Typical methods of anti-islanding are active frequency drift(AFD) and active frequency drift positive feedback(AFDPF). However, the AFD has problem that widely exists non diction zone(NDZ). The AFDPF is a method that improves the AFD method and is detected islanding by changing the chopping fraction(cf). However, The AFDPF does not detect when cf is very small and does not satisfy the IEEE Std. 929-2000 when cf is very big. Therefore, this paper proposes novel anti-islanding method that is simple to implement using virtual resister. The anti-islanding method proposed in this paper is compared with conventional method. The validity of this paper is proved using this result.
