모바일택배시스템의 활용이 사용자의 의사결정과정에 미치는 영향 - 유비쿼터스 의사결정지원시스템의 관점에서 -

  • This study is aimed at proposing a new approach to designing UDSS (Ubiquitous Decision Support System) which allows context-awareness and connectivity. In the previous studies, the need to design UDSS and analyze its performance empirically was raised. However, due to the complexity of empirical approaches, there is no study attempting to tackle this research issue so far. To fill this research void, this study proposes a Mobile Delivery System (MDS) as a form of UDSS, empirically analyzing how users perceive its context-awareness and connectivity functions. Especially, to add more rigor to the proposed approach to know how much it works well in the decision-making contexts, we considered three decision making phases (intelligence, design, choice) in the research model. With the valid questionnaires collected from 340 users of the MDS, we induced statistically proven results showing that both context-awareness and connectivity of the proposed UDSS (or MDS) influence the decision making steps positively and then contribute to improving the decision making quality.

한국, 일본, 싱가포르, 미국의 초등학교 수학 교과서에 제시된 들이와 무게 지도 방안에 대한 비교·분석 (A Comparative Analysis of Capacity and Weight in Elementary Mathematics Textbooks of Korea, Japan, Singapore, and the US)

  • 측정은 초등 수학 교육에서 중요하지만, 초등학교에서 측정 영역을 의미 있게 지도하는 것은 쉽지 않다. 이에 본 연구에서는 한국, 일본, 싱가포르, 미국의 초등학교 수학 교과서에 제시된 들이와 무게의 지도 방안을 비교 분석하였다. 이를 위하여 크게 전반적인 학습 내용 및 지도 시기와 주요 학습 내용별 지도 방안을 비교하였고, 이 중 주요 학습 내용별 지도 방안은 측정의 학습 내용에 특화된 교수 학습 요소에 따라 단위의 필요성, 용어의 의미, 적절한 단위 선택, 적절한 측정 도구 선택, 계산의 필요성을 기준으로 분석하였다. 분석 결과, 4개 국가 모두 실생활 소재를 활용하고, 여러 가지 단위 사이의 관계를 중요하게 다루는 등 측정을 지도하는 일반적인 방향은 유사하였다. 반면 주요 학습 내용별 지도 방안 중 용어의 의미, 적절한 단위 선택, 적절한 측정 도구의 선택 등을 중심으로 주목할 만한 차이점을 확인하였다. 이와 같은 연구 결과를 바탕으로 들이와 무게의 지도 방안 및 차기 교과서 개발에 대한 시사점을 제안하였다.

대명사의 참조관계 처리시의 맥락의 역할 (The Contextual Effects on Pronoun Reaolution)

  • 본 연구에서는 글이해시의 참조관계 처리 과정에서 맥락이 어떤 영향을 미치며 다른 통사 정보와는 어떤 관계를 갖는지를 대명사 해결 패러다임을 중심으로 검토하였다.실험1에서는 무관단어 어휘판단 과제 및 선행참조어 강제선택 과제를 사용하여 글이해시 대용어 문장에서 제공되는 하위 수준의 국소적 맥락편중에 의한 촉진 효과를 입증했다.그러나 맥락 편중에 의한 촉진 효과는 통사적으로 명료한 조건에서는 보다는 애매 조건에서 더욱 강하여,맥락과 통사 간의 상호작용을 나타냈다.실험 2 에서는 대용어 문장 수준에서는 국소적 맥락 정보가 주어지지 않더라도 선행글로 부터 제공된 상위 수준의 전체주제와 관련된 총체적 맥락 정보가 참조관계 해결을 촉진시키는 것으로 밝혀졌다.실험 3 에서는 전체 덩이글 에서의 선행된 총체적 맥락과 후행하는 국소적 맥락간의 일관성 변인이 대명사 해결시에 촉진적 역할을 하는것으로 나타났다.즉 세개의 실험을 통해 글이해에 미치는 맥락 촉진 효과가 다양한 수준에서 일관되게 관찰되었다.

국가 관련 감정이 소비자들의 구매의도에 미치는 영향: 해외진입방식의 조절효과를 중심으로 (The Effects of Country-Related Affect on Consumers' Purchase Intention: Focusing on the Moderating Roles of Market Entry Modes)

  • An extensive body of research on the effects of country-of-origin has emerged in the international marketing and business literature streams. Nonetheless, extant studies do not satisfactorily demonstrate whether and how a foreign firm's choice of market entry mode influences consumers' purchase intentions of its product in country-related affect contexts. Using a survey and an experimental design, we aimed to provide evidence of the effects of the choice on consumers' evaluation and attitude of its product in an animosity context and in a national image context. Through the survey, we collected data regarding consumer animosity, national image, product evaluation, and product attitude from 185 university students and tested the hypotheses that consumer animosity and national image have effects on foreign product evaluation and attitude. The results of the survey research show that personal animosity has a negative effect on consumers' evaluation of foreign products and that a country's image regarding economics has positive effects on consumers' attitude toward foreign products as well as consumers' evaluation of foreign products. In the experimental design, we divided subjects into four groups and exposed them to several descriptions of hypothetical purchase situations. Conducting a 2 (market entry modes)${\times}2$ (country-of-origin) ANOVA, we tested the hypothesis that a market entry mode influences foreign product evaluation and attitude. The results of the experimental study reveal that in a high country-related product association (Germany), market entry modes have insignificant effects on foreign product evaluation and attitude. In addition, in a low country-related product association (China), international partnership has more positive effects on foreign product evaluation and attitude than does exporting.

진화개념의 역사에 근거한 한국과 미국 대학생의 진화개념 수준 비교 (A Comparison between Korean and American College Students' Evolution Concepts based on the History of Evolutionary Ideas)

  • 이 연구는 진화 개념의 발달 단계가 전공과 국가에 따라서 유의미한 차이가 있는지 확인하기 위하여 진행되었다. 이 연구를 위하여 한국과 미국의 대학생의 자료를 생물 전공과 비생물 전공에 따라 구분하여 수집하였다. Ha(2007)이 개발한 도구를 사용하여 Ha(2016)의 분석방법에 근거하여 순위선다형으로 분석하였다. 연구 결과 진화적 사고의 과학사적 발달 과정(창조, 목적, 의도, 용불용설, 자연선택)을 토대로 순위선다방식으로 분석하는 방법이 한국과 미국, 전공과 비전공 학생에게도 적합하게 적용될 수 있는 방법임이 확인되었다. 진화 개념의 발달 단계를 확인한 결과 우리나라 대학생들은 용불용설 수준, 미국의 대학생들은 목적론적 설명 수준에 있는 것으로 확인되었다. 전공과 국가에 따른 진화 개념의 발달 수준은 진화 설명소재와 교호작용효과가 있는지 확인한 결과 유의미한 교호작용효과가 없는 것으로 확인되었다. 진화 개념의 발달 단계와 종교성은 유의미한 관련성이 있었다. 이 연구 결과들을 토대로 진화 개념의 발달 특성에 대해서 논의한다.

Helping our Children with Homework: Homework as an Activity of Anxiety for First Generation Bilingual Korean American Mothers

  • This study aimed to understand communicative and socialization practices of immigrant bilingual families in everyday learning situations by examining interactions between parents and children in the United States. Drawn on language socialization theory and socio-cultural factors influencing immigrants, this study explored how three Korean American mothers struggled as they helped their children with homework by interviewing the mothers and observing mother-child interaction during homework time. The study paid attention to the emotional values of immigrant parents that they tried to teach their children who are members in two distinctive communities, such as Korean American and mainstream American. The findings showed that parental socialization practices had effects on children's emotional and social competence and at the same time the socialization process was bidirectional. Mothers started with Korean values, but they faced challenges with the English language, different demands for American homework, and children's rejection of their attempts. Mothers needed to change their strategy and borrow American ways of keeping emotional distance from their children by acknowledging their independence. Their struggles are discussed with attention to their language choice and culture.

모바일 병원정보시스템 사용성에 대한 실증연구 (A Case Study of a Mobile Hospital Information System Usability)

  • This study is a proposal of quality scale and measurement for the Mobile Hospital Information System Usability used to the Chungnam National University Hospital in Daejeon Korea. This study is to provide decision- making guideline for hospital managers and to provide feedback for the users' information needs in Mobile Hospital Information System. The target people of the study were medical doctors in Chungnam National University Hospital. The service contexts of usability were request of medical Care, Vital sign check of Patient, Care Agreement of Patient, Blood management, Check of care state, Sign of choice doctors, Query of doctor order and patient measurement result. The Usability factors were the efficiency, effectiveness and satisfaction of quality model ISO9241-11. This study shows that the Mobile HIS is used for the communication and education between doctor and patients. Especially, The Care Agreement of Patient is a part of the most utilized in the Mobile HIS.

Development of Theory of Mind in Preschoolers Who Grow up in Two Conflicting and Unbalanced Cultures

  • Individuals rely on Theory of Mind (ToM) to represent themselves, others, and socio-cultural norms. Distinctive Western and Eastern developmental patterns of ToM have been reported in monocultural children. Relatively little is known about bicultural children, especially those children who grow up in two conflicting and unbalanced cultures. We hypothesized that the development of ToM in these bicultural preschoolers would follow the pattern of the dominant culture. To examine this hypothesis, we recruited English-speaking Chinese Singaporean preschoolers. In Study 1, we tested 3- to 5-year-olds (N = 120) with 5 ToM tasks, including diverse desires, diverse beliefs, knowledge access, and false belief, as well as a vocabulary task. In Study 2, we tested 5-year-olds (N = 30) with a picture-choice version of these ToM tasks. Both studies supported our hypothesis by revealing that the development of ToM in these bicultural children followed the pattern of the dominant culture. Additionally, we found that 5-year-old bicultural children are still developing false belief, and their verbal ability correlated with their ToM.

해기사 면허시험제도의 문제점 및 개선 방안 연구 (A Study on the Improvement and Problems of Marine Officer License Examination System)

  • Testing is a procedure used to measure a sample of behaviour in order to discover how well a seafarer performs, usually in comparison with others, or compared with identified performance criteria. In this context It is important that the test, in whatever form it is being used, yields consistent results by being valid, reliable and practical. Whilst we can only take a sample of a person's knowledge or comprehension about topic in this way, testing methods do provide a more reliable estimate of performance than most other observational techniques; unsystematic or irregular observation being too unreliable. The method of examination has been specified in the provisions of Regulation 12 of the Decree of the ship officers act as followings. Other necessary matters for conducting oral and written examinations have been set out by the Minister. But written examination is too shortage of period and small number of question to cover the qualification of each level and oral test is just simple and namely Traditionally, written examinations have been provided as the only means for determining the acquisition of knowledge by the mariner. Typically, the examination formats have taken the format of either an essay or multiple choice examinations. Essay items, used in the vast majority of subject examination(not in Korea), consisted of three basic types: situational, descriptive and computational. The level of certificate being examined determined the number and mix of the type of essay questions selected. Oral question has again been used by assessors of seafarer in a wide variety of contexts. Also, oral questioning is often used when observation of performance is undertaken to ask why a certain action has been taken, or to be broaden the scope of what has been observed. At end, Each techniques have their own advantage and disadvantage, so we have to choose some or all of the following techniques, depending upon the certificate, qualification or job for which the trainee is aiming. But in high lank, we have to use both of essay type and multiple choice and with enough time of oral test at least 30 minutes. Who would be the assessor? According to the STCW Code Section A-I/6, instructors, supervisor and assessors are appropriately qualified for particular types and levels of training or assessment of competence of seafarers either on board or ashore, as required under the Convention, in accordance with the provisions of this section.

Scientific Inquiry and Group Theories in Political Science

  • 본 논문의 목적은 첫째, 과학적인 정치학 연구는 어떤 단계들을 거쳐 이루어지는지에 대해 살펴보고, 둘째, 이러한 과학적인 정치학 연구의 한 예인 그룹이론들 (group theories)에 대해 분석하고 있다. 논문의 전반부에서는 정치학의 과학적 연구를 위해 필요한 개념, 리서치 디자인, 가설 설정 등에 대해 살펴보고 정치학 연구의 과학화가 갖는 한계점에 대해서도 분석하고 있다. 논문의 후반부에서는 그룹접근법들인 역할이론, 그룹이론, 갈등해소이론, 공공선택이론, 합리적 선택 이론 등에 대해 분석하고 있다. 결론에서는 정치학 연구의 과학화가 갖는 한계점에도 불구하고 과학적 탐구가 정치현상을 분석하는데 도움을 주고 있기 때문에 학자들이 연구의 주제, 성향 등에 따라 전통적인 방법과 과학적인 방법을 혼용해서 쓰는 것이 필요하다는 점을 강조하고 있다. 또한 정치학의 과학화의 한 예인 그룹이론이 정치현상을 분석하는데 미친 긍정적인 영향과 그 한계에 대해서도 분석하고 있다.
