After Vanherweghem J-L reported the rapidly progressive interstitial renal fibrosis that developed in patients taking the slimming preparation compounded with chinese Herb in Belgium 1993. Chinese Herb Nephropathy(CHN) has become known as a new renal disease, CHN is described as the decrease of urinary renal enzyme, neutral endopeptidase(NEP). N-acetyl-${\beta}$-Dglucosaminidase(NAG). increase of urinary low molecular protein, ${\alpha}$1-microglobulin, ${\beta}$2-microglobulin. clara cell protein(CC16), retinol-binding protein(RBP) in clinical findings, and the proximal tubular atrophy, interstitial fibrosis. urothelial atrophy. glomerular sclerosis in histology, Because CHN was caused by Chinese herb contained in slimming preparation, western medical doctors have thought that all Herb medicine might have caused renal disease and prohibit the taking of any Herb medicine, However. CHN was actually caused by the aristolochic acid contained in some Herb medicines. Aristolochia manshuriensis, Aristolochia fang chi, which is the substitutions of Akebia quinata, Stephania tetrandra has being used in clinical. Aristolochia manshuriensis. Aristolochia fang chi were different with Akebia quinata. Stephania tetrandra in botany, and it have not been classified with medicines in Oriental medicine, That is, the aristolochic acid, not Herb medicines. causes CHN, So, Chinese Herb Nephropathy should be changed to Aristolochic acid Nephropathy.

Objectives: The prevalence of Parkinson's disease is on an upward trend along with an increase in the aging population but there is no available treatment that halts the progression of neurodegeneration. This study reports a numerical analysis on Donguibogam and suggests novel herbal drugs, which have never been researched before but found to be deemed effective in this study. Methods: Referring to 71 Korean medicine symptom terms that represent the symptoms of Parkinson's disease, 4170 prescriptions described in Donguibogam were classified into two groups based on whether their main effects were effective for Parkinson's disease or not. Comparing the two groups, the chi-square test was performed to select statistically significant herbs, while the t-test, Wilcoxon test, and descriptive statistics were performed to determine the appropriate dose. Results: One hundred and twenty-seven prescriptions effective for Parkinson's disease were identified. The chi-square test determined 17 herbs that are effective for symptomatic treatment. Among the medicinal herbs, the authors suggest Osterici seu Notopterygii Radix et Rhizoma, Ephedrae Herba, Aconiti Tuber, Myrrha, Sinomeni Caulis et Rhizoma, and Aconiti Kusnezoffii Tuber as herbal candidates that have never been studied for Parkinson's disease. Through the statistical tests, it was judged that the mean value of the dose of the entire prescription was the appropriate dose for each herb. Conclusions: Seventeen herbs were selected for Parkinson's disease and the appropriate daily dose were calculated. Furthermore, this study presented a new process that applies a statistical method to traditional medical literature and preselecting herbs deemed effective for specific diseases.
Objectives: This study aims to provide basic data for high-quality dental services. In addition, we will promote the operation of preventive dentistry that implements preventive measures. It was conducted to study the change of patient's treatment behavior and treatment cost due to the discontinuation of preventive dentistry in university dental hospitals. Methods: This study collected data using the integrated medical information system of the C University Dental Hospital. From September 1, 2017 to August 31, 2019, data were analyzed using frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, chi-square test using SPSS version 24.0 statistical program, and T-test. Results: There was a significant difference in the number of preventive dental treatment cases from 58.3% of preventive dental operation periods to 41.7% of preventive dental operation periods. As a result of comparing the medical expenses, the total medical expenses during the preventive dental operation period decreased from 521,308,872 won to 379,724,995 won during the discontinuation period, 141,583,877 won. The number of medical treatments by treatment behavior decreased 3,835 (28.4%) from a total of 13,520 preventive dental operation periods to 9,685. Conclusions: This study is meaningful as the first study to confirm the change in the treatment behavior and the change in the cost of treatment due to the discontinuation of the operation of preventive dentistry at university dental hospitals. In conclusion, it is thought that there is a possibility of the lack of accessibility and the limitation of professional preventive care due to the discontinuation of preventive dentistry.
We conducted this study to examine the effects of safflower seed granular tea containing physiologically active polyphenols on antioxidative activities and bone metabolism. Forty postmenopausal women ages 49 to 64-years were recruited from Daegu and Gyeongbuk and were randomly assigned to either a safflower tea supplement (Saf-tea) group (n=27) or a placebo group (n=13). The Saf-tea group received 20 g of safflower seed granule tea per day containing a 13% ethanol extract of defatted safflower seeds, whereas the placebo group received a similar type of tea that lacked the ethanol extract. No significant changes in nutrient intake for either the placebo or Saf-tea groups were observed before or after the study period, except vitamin A intake increased after 6 months in the Saf-tea group. Dietary phytoestrogen intakes were similar in the Saf-tea group (60.3 mg) and placebo group (52.5 mg). Significant increases in plasma genistein and enterolactone were observed in the Saf-tea group. After 6 months of supplementation, serum levels of antioxidant vitamins such as a-tocopherol and ascorbic acid increased significantly, and TBARS levels decreased in the Saf-tea group compared to the placebo group. Serum osteocalcin levels were reduced (P<0.05) in the Saf-tea group after 6 months, whereas serum osteocalcin did not change in the placebo group. Urinary deoxypyridinoline/creatinine excretion was not different between the two groups at baseline, and did not change in either group after 6 months. Bone mineral density decreased significantly in the placebo group (P<0.01) but not in the supplemented group. It was concluded that polyphenols (72 mg/day), including serotonin derivatives, in the Saf-tea had both antioxidant and potential bone protecting effects in postmenopausal women without liver toxicity.

In geology, lineament features have been used to identify geological events, and many of scientists have been developed the algorithm that can be applied with the computer to recognize the lineaments. We choose several edge detection filter, line detection filters and Hough transform to detect an edge, line, and to vectorize the extracted lineament features, respectively. firstly the edge detection filter using a first-order derivative is applied to the original image In this step, rough lineament image is created Secondly, line detection filter is used to refine the previous image for further processing, where the wrong detected lines are, to some extents, excluded by using the variance of the pixel values that is composed of each line Thirdly, the thinning process is carried out to control the thickness of the line. At last, we use the Hough transform to convert the raster image to the vector one. A Landsat image is selected to extract lineament features. The result shows the lineament well regardless of directions. However, the degree of extraction of linear feature depends on the values of parameters and patterns of filters, therefore the development of new filter and the reduction of the number of parameter are required for the further study.
Reconstruction of the lower lip requires consideration of several factors. There should be retained sensation, maintenance of oral sphincter function, and a large enough opening for the mouth. In addition, it is important to achieve an aesthetically acceptable appearance. Webster's modification of Bernard operation is one of good methods which satisfy above mentioned goals. The purpose of this article is to present the results and review the perioperative problems after reconstruction of the lower lip by this operation. We reviewed seven patients after surgical reconstruction by the same method between January of 1996 and December of 2003. Five patients were male and two were female. The mean follow-up period was 15 months. We obtained functionally and cosmetically acceptable appearance after reconstruction. Most of the reconstructed lower lips were large enough for full mouth opening, but one patient required additional commissuroplasty, and one other patient was treated with wound revision for dehiscence resulting from protrusion of mandibular lateral incisor tooth. All other patients accepted their facial appearance. In conclusion, careful planning and consideration for dental problems and proper closure tension may ensure satisfactory outcome & lower lip competence, when using this modified operative method for lower lip reconstruction.

Face robots capable of expressing their emotional status, can be adopted as an efficient tool for friendly communication between the human and the machine. In this paper, we present a face robot actuated with artificial muscle based on dielectric elastomer. By exploiting the properties of dielectric elastomer, it is possible to actuate the covering skin, eyes as well as provide human-like expressivity without employing complicated mechanisms. The robot is driven by seven actuator modules such eye, eyebrow, eyelid, brow, cheek, jaw and neck module corresponding to movements of facial muscles. Although they are only part of the whole set of facial motions, our approach is sufficient to generate six fundamental facial expressions such as surprise, fear, angry, disgust, sadness, and happiness. In the robot, each module communicates with the others via CAN communication protocol and according to the desired emotional expressions, the facial motions are generated by combining the motions of each actuator module. A prototype of the robot has been developed and several experiments have been conducted to validate its feasibility.
In this paper, a BICMOS technology that has CMOS devices for digital application and bipolar devices for high voltage (80V) analog applications is presented. Basic concept to design BICMOS device is simple process technology without making too many performance trade-offs. The base line process is poly gate p-well CMOS process and three additional masking steps are added to improve bipolar characteristics. The key ingredients of bipolar integration are n+ buried layer process, up/down isolation process and p-well base process. The bipolar base region is formed simultaneously with the region of CMOS p-well area to reduce mask and heat cycle steps. As a result, hFE value of NPN bipolar transistor is 100-150(Ic=1mA). Collector resistance value is 138 ohm in case of bent type collector structure. Breakdown voltage of BVebo, BVcbo and BVceo are 21V, 115V and78V respectively. Threshold voltage is ${\pm}$1.0V for NMOS and PMOS transistor. Breakdown voltage of NMOS and PMOS transistor is obtained 22V and 19V respectively. 41 stage CMOS ring oscillator has 0.8ns delay time.
In this paper, we present an implementation of Long Term Evolution (LTE) Uplink (UL) system on a Software Defined Radio (SDR) platform using a conventional Personal Computer (PC), which adopts Graphic Processing Units (GPU) and Universal Software Radio Peripheral2 (USRP2) with URSP Hardware Driver (UHD) for SDR software modem and Radio Frequency (RF) transceiver, respectively. We have adopted UHD because UHD provides flexibility in the design of transceiver chain. Also, Cognitive Radio (CR) engine have been implemented by using libraries from UHD. Meanwhile, we have implemented the software modem in our system on GPU which is suitable for parallel computing due to its powerful Arithmetic and Logic Units (ALUs). From our experiment tests, we have measured the total processing time for a single frame of both transmit and receive LTE UL data to find that it takes about 5.00ms and 6.78ms for transmit and receive, respectively. It particularly means that the implemented system is capable of real-time processing of all the baseband signal processing algorithms required for LTE UL system.
