  • In this paper, We have investigated the luminous flux, luminous efficacy, spectral energy distribution, colour rendering index, correlated colour temperature of electrodeless QL lamp system as a center method of measurement and side method of measurement. A result of measurement is that center method of measurement and side method of measurement is almost similar. Therefore, Sample that didn't measured because of big size and heavy weight can be measured by center method of measurement.

  • The Acoustic Emission due to treeing progress in Crosslinked Polyethylene(XLPE) is studied by using the self developed automatic measuring system of acoustic emission. Tree progression and average pulse amplitude are almost in proportion to the rising of applied voltage but there is no proportionality relation between tree progression and pulse numbers. From now on, Skewness and kurtosis of average cycle, special property of $\phi$-a distribution characteristics can be confirmed as the useful parameters of treeing deterioration.

  • 본 연구는 영구자석 AC 동기전동기의 초기 기동제어에 대하여 연구하였다. 회전자 위치 검출용 센서는 홀센서를 사용하였고 전동기 운전을 벡터제어를 사용하기 위해 전동기가 정지된 상태에서 홀센서 신호에 따른 회전자 위치를 계산하였다. 견인전동기가 주행저항 보다 큰 견인력을 내기 위해 전동기를 BLDC로 기동한 후 안정적 운전을 위해서 벡터제어로 전환하였다.

Detection of Xanthomonas axonopodis pv. citri on Satsuma Mandarin Orange Fruits Using Phage Technique in Korea

  • A phage technique for detection of Xanthomonas axonopodis pv. citri, a causal bacterium of canker on Sastuma mandarin fruits was developed. Phage and ELISA techniques were compared for their sensitivity for detection of Xanthomonas axonopodis pv. citri on orange fruits. Both of techniques revealed a similar efficiency for the bacterial detection; the pathogenic bacteria were observed in pellet from the fruits with over one canker spot with below 2 mm in diameter. In field assays, the increase of phage population(120%) on surface of the fruits related to the disease development one month later indicated that the bacterial pathogens inhabit on the surface. The procedure will be effectively used for detection of only living bacterial pathogen on fruit surfaces of Satsuma mandarin and for the disease forecasting.

  • Standard open procedures for resection of the first rib in thoracic outlet syndrome can prove to be quite difficult with extensive incisions. A minimal invasive procedure can also be painstaking, but provides an attractive alternative to the more radical open procedures. We report the details of the technique with direct video footage of the procedure performed in a 41-year-old man with thoracic outlet syndrome done entirely by thoracoscopic methods.

구강에서 분리한 Enterococcus faecalis CHJ-5에 대한 생약채의 항균효과 (Antimicrobial effect of natural resources on Enterococcus faecalis CHJ-S isolated from oral)

  • This study was conducted to investigate the effect of natural resources against growth of oral bacteria. The CHJ-5 strain was isolated from oral cavity of dental patients. Similarity index values of oral bacterium CHJ-5 was 0.876 to E. faecalis by cellular fatty acid analysis(Analytical Services Inc., USA). As a result of investigation about the growth inhibition of 32 kinds of natural resources on E. faecalis CHJ-5. This strain was inhibited by Schizamdrae fructus, Coptidis rhizoma and Caryophylli flos. Minimal inhibitory concentrations of Schizamdrae fructus, Coptidis rhizoma and Caryophylli flos were 0.1%, 02% and 0.1% on E. faecalis CHJ-5, respectively.

  • Increasing competition in the livestock industry has forced producers to cut costs by adopting new technologies aimed out increasing production efficiency. Non-ruminant livestock do not express fibrolytic enzymes. The major plant cell wall components of cereals, primarily β-glucans and arabinoxylans, form gel-like structures in the small intestines that trap nutrients.   • Forecasting probability or likelihood of technology development success has been a crucial factor for critical decisions in technology management such as R&D project selection and go or no-go decision of new product development (NPD) projects. This paper proposes an analytic network process (ANP) approach to forecasting of technology development success. Reviewing literature on factors affecting technology development success has constructed the ANP model composed of four criteria clusters : R&D characteristics, R&D competency, technological characteristics, and technological environment. An alternative cluster comprised of two elements, success and failure is also included in the model. The working of the proposed approach is provided with the help of a case study example of MRAM (magnetic random access memory) technology.
