Job characteristics have influence on the organizational effectiveness. The job characteristics are the core job dimension and organizational effectiveness. Aptitude and personality also act on job characteristics. In this study, we investigate chinese characters by province and city. The purpose of this study is to develop the job characteristics and organizational effectiveness model for chinese by province and city. Consequently, we suggest to be applied the model to korean finns strategically, which push into China, by view of improvement of organizational effectiveness and adaptation in China.
The purpose of this study is to examine the types and characteristics of Chinese indigo dyed designs performed until today in private houses of Chinese minority races and to examine the modern value of traditional dyeing crafts of minority races by investigating the cases of utilizing modern private Chinese indigo dyed designs. As the research methodology for theoretical study about the history of Chinese traditional pattern dyeing, the origin, types and characteristics of Chinese indigo dyed designs, the preceding research data, photo data, and Internet data were utilized, and for the empirical research on Chinese traditional dyeing techniques and the cases of utilizing today Chinese indigo dyed designs, the on-site survey on Guizhou and Yunnan was conducted during February and March 2008 and the data were collected and analyzed. Based on the results of this research, it was found that Chinese indigo dyed designs represented Chinese traditional pattern dyeing, which was inherited and developed mainly in Chinese minority races and Chinese. It could be seen that according to geographical distribution and characteristics of each race, the types and characteristics of dyeing techniques were formed, which are classified into the batik of the Miao of Guizhou in the Chinese southwestern region, the tie-dyeing of Bai of Yunnan, and Chinese blue calico(resist printing) of Chinese private houses in the Hunan and Huseo regions, and these represent the three typical Chinese dyeing techniques today. Based on the results of empirical research on the utilizing cases, focusing on the traditional living handicrafts of Chinese minority races, traditional cultural articles, and artworks, the modern values such as practical, cultural, and artistic values of Chinese indigo dyed designs could be rediscovered.
This study analyzes Chinese dresses featured in propaganda posters since the mid-$20^{th}$ century as well as explores the political characteristics of dress. This study used an in-depth interview method to investigate information from 10 Chinese familiar with public awareness and donning practices of the Chinese from 1949 to present. Interviews and analysis provided the following conclusions. First, Zhongshan-zhuang, Liening-Zhuang and Bulaji were widely worn in the Reconstruction because of the revolutionary spirit; in addition, Huayishang also became simultaneously popular as a means to reflect the new aspects of socialism. Second, Jufu/Junbianfu were the most common dresses during the period of Cultural Revolution because the government used various mechanisms to control public opinion. Third, Western fashion began to enter the Chinese market and suit wearing by the Chinese became a symbol of the Reformation and Open-door policy. Traditional dress is no longer a symbol of Feudalism and is a part of Chinese culture that has been reaccepted in the Reformation and Open-door times. Finally, during these 60 years, Chinese dress has obvious political characteristics, but began to change. The changes of political characteristics were, de-politicization expressed by the introduction of Western ready-made, permissions for traditional dress and diversification/ individualization.
This study aims to examine the expressive characteristics of the New Chinese style in the collection of Chinese fashion designer Ziggy Chen, analyze the inner meaning, and suggest a new direction in Chinese fashion design. As a research method, the background and concept of New-Chinese style occurrence were examined through previous studies, and the characteristics of the New Chinese style expression in fashion were investigated. The characteristics of the New Chinese style were summarized as cultural tradition, historical ethnicity, and pluralistic convergence. Based on these contents, the characteristics of the New Chinese style expression in Ziggy Chen's men's fashion design were analyzed. The data collection range was selected as the range of 20 seasons collected from 2012 S/S to 2022 A/W, which was collected on fashion sites and the brand's official Instagram. The analysis results are as follows. First, subcultural resistance is a retro and ragged decadence formed by combining punk elements and industrial styles based on the clothing styles of lower-class Chinese people in the 17th and 90s. Second, cultural traditionality was influenced by traditional culture by mainland Chinese designers, who expressed the conservative presence of tradition and the Chinese style by looking at it from an oriental perspective. Third, historical ethnicity forms a Chinese fashion culture in which the national spirit and the development of the times coexist, while traditional culture and contemporary social values develop in harmony. Fourth, traditional fashion develops by combining a contemporary aesthetic sense and lifestyle with pluralistic convergence.
In this study, six mainland Chinese designer brands-Xander Zhou, Sankuanz, Sean Suen, Feng Chen Wang, Pronounce, and Angel Chen-were selected that had their works presented at both Chinese and global fashion shows between 2016 and 2021. By analyzing the design characteristics of each brand, it is possible to understand the style characteristics and trends of Chinese menswear designs. A case study approach was adopted utilizing literature data, whereby 1663 photos were collected from the fashion information website POP (www.pop-fashion.com). Changes in Chinese men's image and the menswear market were identified. The design characteristics of modern Chinese menswear are as follows. First, the results from analyzing the target brands show that each brand has a distinct personality. Compared with the traditional or formal style, urban casual and sports styles (based on street style) account for a larger proportion. Second, the boundaries between different styles are becoming ambiguous, and contrasting styles are harmoniously expressed by breaking down boundaries through changes and combinations of colors, materials, and details. Third, after examining the overall trend, 2018 was a watershed point, after which the design trend has changed from either conservative or exaggerated to a practical and everyday style, demonstrating a genderless trend.
This paper, based on the filed survey conducted from August 14 to 21, 2000, examines the architectural characteristics of traditional dwellings of Sujeonchon(수전촌, 水田村) village. Sujeonchon village is located on the northen slope of Changbaishan Mt., Andohyun(안도현, 安圖縣) of jilin Province(吉林省), a province in the northeastern region of China. The village was established between late 1940's and early 1950's by the Korean-Chinese. Later on, some of the Korean-Chinese residents moved out of the village and presently, the residents are composed of both the Korean-Chinese and the Chinese consisting about fifty-fifty. Since the cultural background and the living custom are different from each other ethnic group, that is, the Korean-Chinese and the Chinese, their dwellings reveal some differences between them. Through the study, the architectural characteristics and distinctions of the Korean-Chinese and Chinese dwellings are found and summarized as follows: 1.The way of building layout is different between them: the Chinese mainly follows the north-south direction of building layout, while the Korean-Chinese considers the surrounding environmental condition. 2.The floor level of kitchen is different between them: that of the Chinese house is same as the outdoor earth level, while that of the Korean-Chinese is lower than the outdoor level. 3.The way of providing the kitchen space is different between them: the kitchen of the Chinese house is consist of one separate room, while that of the Korean-Chinese is open to the living area. 4.The way of heating system is different between them: the Chinese house has kang only at the sleeping area, while the Korean-Chinese install whole under-floor heating of gudeul in the living area. 5.The attitude to the way of building is different between them: the Chinese are easily adapt to the new building materials and construction method, while the Korean-Chinese are showing strong attachment to the traditional way of building. 6.The houses of the Chinese and the Korean-Chinese have their own traditional ornaments and talismans on and in the building.
This research analyzed the Chinese style design embodied in the collections of the new generation of fashion designers shown during the Shanghai Fashion Week to improve the understanding of Chinese style and the modernization of Chinese design. The research questions were 1) studying the development of the Chinese fashion industry chronologically and investing young designers' current situation, 2) investigating young designers' awareness of Chinese style and analyzing Chinese style design in collections. A literature and case study were conducted as the research method. The literature study focused on the books about the Chinese fashion industry and history, newspaper, articles, and so on. The case study was conducted among 63 Chinese style collections in 2016-2020 SFW by investigating fashion magazine reviews, articles, and so on. The findings are as follows: 1) Young Chinese fashion designers' awareness of Chinese style has three characteristics; the nonmaterial tendency from decreasing stereotyped images, combination of traditional culture and local youth culture, and commercialization with trends. 2) Chinese elements, including natural, character, and cultural elements were predominantly used in the concept, pattern, and shape. Nonmaterial characteristics were identified in concept, cultural combination characteristics in concept, shape, color, material, and pattern, and trend commercialization in shape, color, and pattern. In conclusion, Chinese young fashion designers had strong national consciousness and new awareness of Chinese style fashion in decreasing the stereotyped images of China. Thus, they used more varied expressions. Meanwhile, they faced difficulties in expressing nonmaterial Chinese elements by balancing them with Chinese style and globalization.
This study was conducted to investigate the effect of Chinese artichoke powder on the physicochemical properties and the sensory characteristics of yanggaeng. According to the increasing contents of Chinese artichoke powder, the $^{\circ}Brix$ value and pH levels of yanggaeng were significantly decreased whereas the moisture contents of yanggaeng was significantly increased. The result of color measurement shown that L value of groups containing Chinese artichoke powder was lower than that of control group, but a value and b value of groups containing Chinese artichoke powder were higher. Texture measurement score in terms of cohesiveness, chewiness, and brittleness for yanggaeng were significantly decreased according to the levels of added Chinese artichoke powder content. The contents of total polyphenol, DPPH radical scavenging activity, and NSA of groups containing Chinese artichoke powder were higher than those of control group. As Chinese artichoke powder increased, antioxidative activity also became bigger. Sensory evaluation scores in terms of appearance, odor, taste, texture, and overall preference of groups with 2% and 4% of Chinese artichoke powder did not show any significantly differences when compared to the control group. Based on these findings, current study suggest that addition of 4% Chinese artichoke powder was the best substitution ratio for yanggaeng.
This study investigated the quality of noodles containing different amounts of Chinese artichoke powder. Noodles were prepared at ratios of 0%, 0.5%, 1%, 1.5%, and 2% Chinese artichoke power based on flour weight. The weight, volume, and water absorption of cooked noodles significantly decreased with increasing amounts of Chinese artichoke powder. Turbidity of noodles increased according to addition of Chinese artichoke powder. The noodles showed decreased L and b values, and increased a values with increasing Chinese artichoke powder content in the flour composite. Hardness of cooked noodles increased significantly with increase ing Chinese artichoke powder content. Springiness, cohesiveness, and chewiness decreased with increasing amounts of added Chinese artichoke powder. The antioxidant activities (DPPH radical scavenging activity, ABTS radical scavenging activity) and nitrite scavenging activity were improved significantly with addition of Chinese artichoke powder. Finally-, sensory evaluation results indicated that noodles containing 1% Chinese artichoke powder had higher quality as compared to other samples.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to compare the difference in health-promoting behavior of Han-Chinese to Korean-Chinese university students in Korea. Methods: Subjects were 111 Han-Chinese and 105 Korean- Chinese university students. The data was collected using structured questionnaires from January 5 to May 30, 2009. The data analysis was carried out using the SPSS/WIN 12.0 program. Results: The average score of health- promoting behavior for Chinese students was 2.55, 2.49 for Korean-Chinese students and 2.61 for Han-Chinese students. The mean score of health-promoting behavior of Korean-Chinese students was lower than that of the Han-Chinese group (t=2.048, p=.042). There were significant differences in health- promoting behaviors according to socio-demographic characteristics between Han-Chinese and Korean-Chinese university students. The mean score of health-promoting behavior showed significant differences according to marital status (t=2.019, p=.046) in Han-Chinese students while there were significant differences in health-promoting behaviors according to motivation for studying abroad (t=2.732, p=.033) in Korean-Chinese students. Conclusion: Health-promoting programs should be developed for both Han-Chinese and Korean-Chinese students by considering socio-demographic characteristics. Korean-Chinese may be targeted as a priority group for promoting health behaviors.
