The main purpose of this study is to identify characteristics of shapes of John Galliano's Dior Collection as the chief executive designer of Christian Dior Maison during $1996{\sim}2007$ after he showed himself in Paris in 1990. This study was based on the analyses of John Galliano's design trends of his collections, the pictures of his works in Christian Dior's collection, real works, documents and fashion magazines, newspapers, mass media, internet sites and other visual materials. The study identified characteristics of shapes in Dior Collection until 07/08 F/W as the chief executive designer of Christian Dior Maison, and the design trends before his post-Paris period. Followings are the conclusions of the study. First, Galliano was open to any types of cultures as a liberalist, and also respectful to the tradition or principles. He led the fashion business with new trends by exploring both sides. Second, he succeeded in commercializing his avant-garde feature. Especially, His creativity changed the image of Christian Dior to younger and more casual one. Third, born in England and worked in French, he always took both English (Victorian Style) and French(Napoleon era, Femme Fatal style) sides, and showed excellent formulation that the times needed by combining topical Chinese, Japanese, Egyptian styles.
Indonesian dietary life in relation to tradition, customs, variety of food, condiments and spices, processing food and religious way of ceremony was studied through reference books and field trips. The result obtained are as follows: 1. Indonesian food life style has been influenced not only by foreign countries like India, China, Arab and Western countries but also religious commandments of Islamism, Hindusim and Budhism. 2. Indonesia has a wide territory and consist of many islands. Therefore, various food life style can be found in every regional areas. Modern westernized style as well as traditional style coexist together. 3. Chinese has influenced Indonesian food life as well as that of Koreans especially in soy sauce and rice cake. 4. Various type of steamed rice by adding other ingredients can be found in daily life and religious ceremony. 5. Coconut milk, raw spices, pepper are widely & exessively used in cooking and Tempe (soya bean cake) is one of the major protein sources in Indonesia. 6. In religious ceremony, SELAMATAN, various kind and shape of food with different colors symbolize the desire of those who contribute.
The three major medical compilations of the Joseon Dynasty, Hyangyak-jipseongbang, Uibang-yuchwi, and Dongui-bogam, directly cited a total of 376 kinds of medical books. Among them, 11 medical books were commonly referred: Gyeongheom-yangbang, Deukyobang, Saminbang, Seonmyeongnon, Seongje-chongnok, Seonghyebang, Eoui-chwaryo, Yeongnyu-geombang, Wisaeng-bogam, Cheongeumbang, and Tangaek-boncho. Most of them were medical classics and formularies representing the period from the Song to the early Ming Dynasties, which most likely influenced the establishment of Joseon's medical tradition throughout the Joseon Dynasty. The reason why the majority of the medical reference books was formularies seems to be that prescription practices and the use of medicinals value knowledge with accumulated experience over a long period, whereas medical ideas and doctrines change with time. Besides, except for Eoui-chwaryo compiled in the Goryeo Dynasty, the three significant compilations referred to Chinese medical books, which indicates that the compilers made efforts to accommodate the newly introduced foreign knowledge. At the same time, the former compilations, Hyangyak-jipseongbang and Uibang-yuchwi, later appeared as primary references in Dongui-bogam's Medical Formularies of Successive Generations. However, in order to avoid overlapping the same contents, the compilers tried to form a differentiated version by extracting only the unique contents.
YiHui(宜彙) is medical book written in 19th century. It's author is known as an intellectual. His pen name is GumLiSanIn(錦里散人). YiHui is a important book to show us medical treatment in Chosun-Korea 19th century. We purposed to analyze contents of YiHui and organize its Historical meanings. For that, we studied about GumLiSanIn. Then we explained contents of each chapter of this book. YiHui - title of book means gathering important treatment. Like that, this book contains a lots of skills and prescriptions origined from classic Chinese and Korean medical books. Many methods of this book are invented by practitioners who played an active part in the folk. Furthermore, its treatments is very simple and its hurbs is getatable to be used easily. Yihui inherits the tradition of Hyangyak that is local herb medicine of Chosun.

Ji Cheng's great work on garden design, the 'Yuanye'(Craft of garden), written in 1631 and originally published in 1634 is the first surviving manual on landscape gardening in the Chinese tradition. This study aims at investigating not only Ji Cheng's life, achievements companionship and design activities, but also the xylographic copies, literary style, and framework of Yuanye in their historical context in order to provide the bases for further study, Ji Cheng was exellent in poetry and painting. And he constructed Dongdiyuan in Changzhou around 1623, Wuyuan in Yiaheng in 1631, and Yingyuan in Yangzhou around 1634 But no poems, paintings, and gardens designed by hi shill exist Therefore his design phi philosophy is able to be interpreted only by his work, Yuanye. After publishing, Yuanye fell into obscurity for several centuries in Chlna. It was redescovered and reprinted for the first time in 1931. Yuanye is composed of prefaces and main text The main text is divided into 'the Theory of Construction' and 'on Gardens', and the latter also into 10 sections. In this text Ji Cheng explains the aesthetic principles underlying garden design and the appropriate emotional response to various efftcts Especially, he emphasizes the importance of basin the garden design on the taxi ting nature and features of landscape and making use of natural scenery. The literary style of the book is highly mannered, and there are so many poetic descriptions and Ji Cheng's native Jiangsu dialects. So the translation of the original text is very difficult After this, the major design concepts of Ji Cheng's landscape gardening theory and whole network of these concepts have to be studied.

This research examines pioneering works of two representative Western modern architects which played a significant role in constructing modernity in the early 20th century: Frank Lloyd Wright's Florida Southern College and Ludwig Mies van der Rohe's Illinois Institute of Technology. These two campuses were constructed and developed at the similar period by two named architects, and these were considered the collections of iconic modern buildings in the States. However, design approaches and principles of these buildings were totally opposite ways: Frank Lloyd Wright's Florida Southern College was in the roof of organic architecture drawn from a great Chinese sage, Laotze, which have more five hundred years history. On the other hand, Ludwig Mies van der Rohe's Illinois Institute of Technology was well embodied the International Style which originated from European tradition in the early 20th century, and Mies was one of the leaders of the International Style. These different approaches could be understood in the discussion of the meaning of the Greek concept of paradoxa which was mentioned by a German philosopher Martin Heidegger. Comparing the paradoxical gestures of these two campuses can reveal the truth of each campus master plans and expand the discourse of modern architectures.
Objectives : This paper studies the Tangaek-Unhoei(湯液韻彙) index of herbal medicine in the Inje-Ji(仁濟志) of the Imwon-Gyeongje-Ji(林園經濟志), which contains about 4,800 formulas. Created by 19th-century Joseon scholar Seo, Yugu, it not only lists the formulas according to their names, but also provides index by topic, which enabled the collection and effective application of massive medical information. Methods : We quantitatively examined the nearly 4,800 herbal medicines in the Tangaek-Unhoei and their categorization. Any uncommon or particular categorization was examined further by analyzing the original text. Results & Conclusions : The prescriptions contained in the Inje-Ji are categorized under 26 headings. They are listed according to the 106 units of the Chinese character dictionary and organized by double headings. This unique index makes it easy to browse the contents of such a vast book containing massive medicinal knowledge. In addition, the fifty or so remedies called 'Fang(方)' exemplify the author's attitude toward medicinal knowledge, which is both rational and inclusive. This is an attitude that should be recognized beyond tradition.
This study examines the contents and characteristics of 'Double First Class University Plan', which is conceived by Chinese government in 2015, following the current 211, 985 projects to develop comprehensively a group of elite Chinese universities and individual university departments into world class universities and disciplines by the end of 2050. For this study, we used the literature analysis method and collected various policy documents, research papers, newspapers and books published in China regarding this plan. First, this study looks at the development process, performance and limitations of 211, 985 projects. Second, it defines the concept of the world class university mentioned in China, and looks at the objectives and highlights of the plan. Finally, this study summarizes the characteristics of 'Double First Class University Plan' and the results such as focusing on the university's tradition and characteristic, cultivation and attraction of human resources, intensive financial support, and the introduction of a competitive system. Based on the results, this study proposes several implications such as establishing and implementing long-term and comprehensive higher education policies, inducing local government participation and support, focusing on fostering talents and developing disciplines, and putting emphasis on Korean characteristics in developing world class universities.
Chinese cartoon industry lately was able to see a rapid development which changed cartoon creative personnel associated with increased production technology development, new technologies, government support policy and a variety of environments. It was likely to have high expectations for changes in the policy environment of the country supported the comic creators and authors to develop its own comic industry. The difference between China Cartoon and comics in other Asian countries is true that cartoon story came out naturally in a traditional culture. In this study, It would lead in the future to allow directional presented for the digital cartoon making development policy awareness through the comic creation and production of new media content industry enabled to China. Now, in the new media industry for the development of China's neighboring countries coped with climate change for the active exchange of information. It poured out ceaseless technical development and a range of policies to support business expansion. New China Cartoon was leaped to re-fit the industry.
Woo-Suk Hwang Jong-Ha(友石, 黃宗河 1887-1952), Woo-Chung Hwang Sung-Ha (又淸, 黃成河, 1891-1965), Gook-In Hwang Kyung-Ha (菊人, 黃敬河, 1895-?) and Mi-San Hwang Yong-Ha(美山 黃庸河, 1899-?) were not only renowned writers and painters but also brothers spaced four years apart The Hwang brothers were not specially trained by educational institutions, but studied on their own, relying on picture books from China and the artpieces of masters. In particular, they established an art school called the Song-Do Society for the Research of Writings and Paintings in Gaesung, North Korea as a means to nurture young artists and to offer opportunities to introduce their own artwork. They were both friends and artists, as they spent their childhood together and share their thoughts and hobbies as well as their own individual and unique works of art. Moreover, they went the through ups and downs of Korean history from the end of the Joseon Dynasty through the Japanese occupation however, they strove to keep the tradition of Korean paintings alive, and even persevered in writing and drawing countless artwork with paper, brush and Chinese ink until the day they each died.
