부모, 또래, 교사가 아동과 청소년의 자아개념발달에 미치는 영향: 중국 조선족과 한국 아동 및 청소년 비교 (Parents' Peers' and Teachers' Influence on the Self-concept of Korean-Chinese and Korean Children and Adolescents)

  • This study compared influential factors on adolescent's (10-16 years of age) self-concept in Korean-chinese and Korean cultures. The influence of parenting, peer relationship, and teacher's support on the development of children's and adolescent's self-concept was assessed with Korean-Chinese and Korean elementary, middle, and high school students. The subjects were 210 Korean-Chinese children and 300 Korean-Chinese adolescent from Shenyang, China, and 280 Korean children and 400 Korean adolescents from Seoul and Ulsan, Korea. Data were analyzed by t-test, factor analysis, and multiple regression. The results revealed differential influences of factors between the two cultures. Korean-Chinese children's self-concepts were influenced by teacher's support and parenting, while Korean children's self-concepts were significantly influenced tv their peer relationships and teacher's support. Korean-Chinese adolescent's! self-concepts were influenced tv teacher's support and parenting, while Korean adolescent's self-concepts were influenced by parenting and teacher's support.

한.중.일 학교 환경교육의 전개와 특색 (Spreading Processes and Features of School Environmental Education in Korea, the People's Republic of China and Japan)

  • Korea, China and Japan show distinct features in their school environmental education, which are derived from their own spreading processes. Japanese school environmental education has developed as a result of assimilating of anti-pollution education and nature education, and has a feature that makes much of nature experiences. The introduction of 'Period for Integrated Study' in 2002 seems to begin activating Japanese school environmental education. Chinese school environmental education started in higher education institutions around the middle of 1970's, and has a feature that makes a point of scientific approach, even in primary education schools. The two government ordinances,'National Action Program for Environmental General Knowledge ($1996{\sim}2010$)' and 'Educational Scheme of Environmental Theme Study for Elementary and Secondary School Students' issued in 2003, gradually promote school environmental education in China. It is remarkable that Science and Technology Centers for Youth and also increasing environmental NPOs often support environmental activities in elementary or secondary schools. The most notable feature of Korean school environmental education is that 'Environment' has already offered as a regular elective subject in junior high school, and official 'Environment' textbook has published since early 1990's. Though, the adoption rate of 'Environment' is not yet so high. Each country's peculiar issues are as follows. Japan: (1) Students often lack basic knowledge about environmental important problems. (2) 'Period for Integrated Study' is now threatened with cutting hours by the idea of increasing periods for basic subjects to keep high achievement. China: (1) There are large regional differences and school distinctions in operation of environmental education. (2) Adult environmental education needs to be expanded, because the most part of Chinese have no experience of school environmental education. Korea: (1) The relationship between the administrative division which plans school environmental education and teachers group is not quite well. The adoption rate of 'Environment' in junior high school needs to be improved. The training of many teachers for environmental education instructors may be the most important and effective cooperative action among Korea, China and Japan, and for that purpose we ought to work on making a better handbook for instructors, at first.

진안-무주 국가지질공원의 안내 표지판에 제시된 용어에 대한 학생들의 이해도 분석 (Analysis of Students' Understanding of the Terms Presented on the Information Board of Jinan-Muju National Geopark)

  • 이 연구의 목적은 진안·무주 국가지질공원의 안내 표지판에 제시된 용어에 대한 학생들의 이해 정도를 알아보기 위한 것이다. 이를 위하여 학생 219명(초등학교 147명, 중학교 41명, 고등학교 31명)을 대상으로 지질공원에 대한 인식 수준, 안내 표지판의 유용성에 대한 인식, 그리고 국가지질공원에 설치된 안내판에 제시된 용어에 대한 이해 정도를 알아보기 위한 설문을 실시하였다. 이때 학생들의 용어에 대한 이해정도를 알아보기 위해 지질명소에 설치된 대표적인 안내 표지판 10개를 선정하고 전체 내용을 텍스트 형태로 변환하였으며, 전문가 3인과의 논의를 통해 핵심 용어 256개를 추출한 후 학생들에게 제시하여 이해 정도를 파악하였고, 이에 대한 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 학생들의 지질공원에 대한 인식 수준은 매우 낮은 것으로 나타나 이에 대한 홍보와 교육적 접근이 필요해 보인다. 둘째, 학생들은 안내판에 대해 흥미를 보이지 않았으며 내용이 많고 어려워 이해도가 낮은 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 256개의 용어 중에서 학생들이 이해하기 어려워하는 용어의 수는 초등학생 80개, 중학생 53개, 고등학생 31개로 나타나 학교 급이 높아지면서 감소하는 경향을 보였다. 이때 용어를 이해하기 어려운 이유는 초등학생은 교육과정에서 아직 배우지 않은 용어이기 때문이며, 중·고등학생은 전문 용어와 한자어에 대한 이해의 어려움 때문인 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 지질공원의 안내 표지판은 학생 및 방문객들이 보다 이해하기 쉽도록 한자어를 쉽게 풀어 쓰거나 전문 용어에 대한 추가 설명이 필요할 것으로 보인다.

중국 기초교육 교과서에 반영된 간호 이미지 분석 (Analysis of the Image of Nursing Shown in Chinese Basic Education(Elementary, Middle and High School) Textbooks in China)

  • Purpose: This study examines the nursing-related contents in the middle, and high school textbooks that follows the National Common Basic Curriculum in China, with a purpose of providing basis for establishing a desirable nursing image. Method: A total of 229 New Curriculum Standard Experiment textbooks published by China People's Education Press in 2007 were analyzed using contents analysis method. Result: Total nursing-related contents in the 229 textbooks were 90 cases, with a frequency of 0.39 case per one book. Common image of nurse is traditional, i.e., it is women's job. which has traditional feminine characteristics. Conclusions: Nursing related contents were decreased in the higher level education. The descriptions of tasks and roles of nurses were very short in any school years. These platitude and superficial descriptions were old-fashioned and unable to deliver correct information about nursing and nurses to the students.

Involvement of Estrogen Receptor-α in the Activation of Nrf2-Antioxidative Signaling Pathways by Silibinin in Pancreatic β-Cells

  • Silibinin exhibits antidiabetic potential by preserving the mass and function of pancreatic β-cells through up-regulation of estrogen receptor-α (ERα) expression. However, the underlying protective mechanism of silibinin in pancreatic β-cells is still unclear. In the current study, we sought to determine whether ERα acts as the target of silibinin for the modulation of antioxidative response in pancreatic β-cells under high glucose and high fat conditions. Our in vivo study revealed that a 4-week oral administration of silibinin (100 mg/kg/day) decreased fasting blood glucose with a concurrent increase in levels of serum insulin in high-fat diet/streptozotocin-induced type 2 diabetic rats. Moreover, expression of ERα, NF-E2-related factor 2 (Nrf2), and heme oxygenase-1 (HO-1) in pancreatic β-cells in pancreatic islets was increased by silibinin treatment. Accordingly, silibinin (10 μM) elevated viability, insulin biosynthesis, and insulin secretion of high glucose/palmitate-treated INS-1 cells accompanied by increased expression of ERα, Nrf2, and HO-1 as well as decreased reactive oxygen species production in vitro. Treatment using an ERα antagonist (MPP) in INS-1 cells or silencing ERα expression in INS-1 and NIT-1 cells with siRNA abolished the protective effects of silibinin. Our study suggests that silibinin activates the Nrf2-antioxidative pathways in pancreatic β-cells through regulation of ERα expression.

비타민 A와 비타민 C의 급원식품 선정 (Food Sources of Vitamin A and Vitamin C)

  • The purpose of this study was to find out and advocate the intake of vitamin A and C rich foods in Korean people. Forty kinds of vitamin A and C rich foods were selected by the vitamin quantity in 100g edible portion. in single serving size. and by the 1997 national food supply data. The results were summarized as follows. 1. The vitamin A rich foods 1) The food sources of vitamin A presented in the middle and high school home economics textbooks were liver. egg/egg yolk. milk/dairy products. and green and yellow vegetables. etc. 2) The vitamin A rich foods by 100g edible portion ere in order of red pepper(dried). laver(dried). carrot. meat edible viscera. eel. etc. And the vitamin A rich foods by the vitamin A content in single serving size were in order of carrot. eel. meat edible viscera. water shield. red pepper(dried). etc. 3) The vitamin A suppling foods according to the 1997 national food supply data were in order of red pepper(dried). meat edible viscera. laver. carrot. etc. The green and yellow vegetables. fish and shellfish. and seaweeds were the most important sources of vitamin A in Korean. 2. The vitamin C rich foods 1) The food sources of vitamin C presented in the textbooks of middle and high school were strawberry. citrus fruits. and vegetables such as spinach. chinese cabbage. radish. crown daisy. etc. 2) The vitamin C rich foods on the basis of the vitamin C content in 100g edible portion were in order of sweet pepper. goose berry. citron. strawberry. water shield. etc. And the vitamin C rich foods by the quantity in single serving size were in order of strawberry. goose berry. citron. sweet pepper. lemon. etc. 3) The vitamin C suppling foods according to the 1997 national food supply data were in order of chinese cabbage. radish. citrus fruits. strawberry. etc. Not only vegetables and fruits but also seaweeds like dried laver and sea mustard were the most important source of vitamin C in korean.

서울.경기지역 초.중.고등학생의 김치 섭취 실태 및 태도 조사 (A Survey on Elementary, Middle and High School Students' Attitude and Eating Behaviors about Kimchi in Seoul and Kyunggido Area)

  • This study was performed with 482 subjects(278 boys and 204 girls in Seoul and Kyunggido area) to find out the attitude and eating behaviors about Kimchi on Korean young generation. General characteristics about subject and attitude and eating behavior were surveyed by self-developed questionnaires. 85.9% of the subjects were nuclear family type and 49.9% of respondent's mother had full-time job and 96.1% of subjects were middle or upper economic status. The preference for Kimchi, 60.4% of respondents answered that they liked Kimchi. According to grade, the rate of preference about Kimchi was significantly different, higher grade students were found higher preference on Kimchi : 64.4% of middle and 70.4% of high school students liked Kimchi. The eating patterns of Kimchi, up to 60% of respondents answered they ate Kimchi in every meal time, which suggested that it was still an important side dish in Korean meal among teenagers. The eating behaviors on Kimchi, $85{\sim}90%$ of respondents answered that they preferred Kimchi in meal time. Baechu Kimchi(chinese cabbage Kimchi) and Gakdugi(radish cube Kimchi) was highly preferred. And their preference of food which made from Kimchi (such as Kimchi fried rice, Kimchi stew, Kimchi pancake) was highly evaluated. 65.6% of residents pointed out that 'Kimchi is very nutritious food'. The respondent's structure of value on Kimchi were not significantly difference between sex and age. But it was significantly difference(p<0.01) between the groups with preference and familiarity on Kimchi. The group had higher preference and familiarity on Kimchi agreed to the positive values about Kimchi. These result suggested that various kinds of Kimchi should be developed for young generation to meet their taste and also continuous nutrition education about traditional food especially Kimchi should be promoted at home and school.

청소년이 있는 농촌가정의 수입식품 이용실태에 관한 연구 (A Study on the some aspects of use of imported foods at the rural homes with the growing generation)

  • The purpose of this paper was to grasp some aspects of use of imported foods at the rural homes with the growing generation. So we put some questions to the 399 middle school and high school students. The results were as follows: (1) The number of the homes using the imported foods, which marks 56.9% of the whole, was higher than the number of the homes not using the ones. (2) Even though the use of imported foods had no relation with the occupations of the student's mothers, the degree of living quality, the situations of food consumption, and so on, however the use ratio was high at the homes of middle class. (3) The students of the home of using imported foods favored the traditional diets, and marked 63% of the objective students of investigation. The students who like the western style of diets marked the high frequency of the use of the imported foods. On the other hand, the students who like the Chinese foods used the meat and fishes and processed foodstuffs among the imported foods. (4) The frequency of instant foods for the carried lunches showed the meaningful relation with frequency of use of imported foods. (5) In the view of use of instant foods for the lunches, the group of people who carried the lunches 3 or 5 times per week used the imported meat foods, the other group who carried the lunches 1 or 2 times per week marked the high frequency of having coffee and tea.

소비자의 식단 요구도 분석을 통한 쌀빵의 학교급식 적용 가능성 분석 (Possibility Analysis of a Rice Based Bread by Analyzing Customers' Needs of Menus for School Foodservice)

  • School foodservice customers are likely to be tired of repeated cycle menus and their satisfaction for meals offered in school is inclined to be low. The menu variety is an important factor in increasing customer satisfaction. The purpose of this study was to investigate customer perspectives for applying rice based bread menus in order to add menu variety and promote using rice processed products in school foodservice. The questionnaire was distributed to 760 parent samples in elementary schools and 520 student samples in middle/high schools and a total of 665 and 387 usable data were collected, respectively. Food habits such as preference for cooking method, menu preference, food allergy and nutritional perspectives for menu and customer perception for rice based bread like quality, reliability, price, and purchasing convenience were investigated using 7 Likert scale. Also expected menu types applying rice based bread and offering frequency of rice bread menu were examined. Preference level for bread-based meals were moderate and students' preferences were slightly higher than parents. Menu types applying rice bread expected by middle/high school students were western food (49.4%), spaghetti (28.4%), set menu (13.7%), noodle (17.6%), Korean food (11.1%), Chinese food (10.9%) and porridge (4.5%). The most occupied rate was once in a week for expected offering frequency. Most respondents perceived that rice bread was more nutritive and qualitative than the wheat based one.

연상을 통한 과학용어의 분석 (Analysis of Scientific Terms by Associative Method)

  • Correct comprehension of the scientific terms is the bottom of understanding the general concepts contained is them. Therefore a study is required to analyze whether the students correctly understand the scientific terms. The associative method was used to evaluate the comprehensibility of the terms. The scientific terms in this study are selected in the textbook of science in the junior high school were selected. The frequency of the same associative word responsed and the frequency of no response from the selected students for given scientific terms were measured for 9 different groups. The terms which are not used in the daily life, especially for the terms with chinese character or abstract terms turn out to be difficult for the students to understand. It is purposed that the instructor should remember the importance of understanding the scientific term and carefully explain them to the science class.
