보육의 특성에 따른 유아의 코티솔 패턴 (Children's Cortisol Patterning at ChildCare Centers)

  • This study examined cortisol patterning in 160 children(79 boys, 81 girls; aged 4-5) attending twelve childcare centers in Seoul and Kyunggi Province. Saliva samples for the assay of cortisol were collected twice a day at 10 : 30 am and 3 : 30 pm. Saliva samples were collected again within a week after the first collection. Data were analyzed with descriptive statistics and multiple regression analysis. The cortisol level of the afternoon showed neither increase nor decrease compared to morning. Regression analysis indicated that time children spent at childcare centers accounted for increased afternoon cortisol levels; that is, higher levels of afternoon cortisol were associated with more hours per day at childcare centers.

영아기 자녀를 둔 아버지의 양육스트레스에 영향을 미치는 변인 탐색 (Exploring Variables Effecting Parental Stress of Fathers with Infants)

  • Objective: The study aims to examine fathers' parental stress and the variables effecting parental stress of fathers with infants. Methods: One hundred seventeen fathers with 0 to 2 year-olds were recruited from daycare centers in Daejeon metropolitan city. The Korean version of the Parenting Stress Index Short Form (K-PSI-SF) by Lee, Jung, Park and Kim(2008), The Korean Occupational Stress Scale-Short Form (Koss-SF) by Jang and Ko(2005), and the Revised-Kansas Marital Satisfaction Scale(RKMSS) by Chung (2004) were used to measure fathers'parental stress, occupational stress, and marital satisfaction. Results: First, the most influential variable that affected father's parental stress was their marital satisfaction. The fathers felt less parental stress when they felt higher marital satisfaction. Second, fathers felt less parental stress when their occupational environments were family friendly. Conclusion/Implications: Ways to improve mariatal satisfacation and a family friendly evironment at work should be sought out in order to lessen the parental stress of fathers raising infants.

영유아의 주 양육자가 지각하는 양육 스트레스와 피로 (Degree of Parenting Stress and Fatigue Perceived by Primary Caregivers of Young Children)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to provide basic data for nursing interventions to assist primary caregivers of young children by determining the degree stress and fatigue that caregivers were under due to parenting young children. Methods: Participants were primary caregivers (181 mothers and 160 grandmothers) of young children. Results: 1) Mean score for degree of parenting stress was 2.61 (${\pm}.69$) and for fatigue, 1.97 (${\pm}.54$). 2) There was a significant difference in degree of parenting stress according to primary caregivers' age, employment status, income, whether the children were wanted babies, health status of the children and caregivers, personality of the children, and benefits from, and satisfaction with costs of childcare. Likewise, there was a significant difference in degree of fatigue according to relationship of primary caregivers to the children, primary caregivers' age, religion, income, whether the children were wanted babies, health status of the children and caregivers, personality of the children, and benefits from, and satisfaction with costs of childcare. 3) Stress and fatigue perceived by the primary caregivers were significantly correlated (r=.554 p<.001). Conclusion: To alleviate more effectively primary caregivers' parenting stress and fatigue, early nursing intervention and educational programs need to be developed.

청소년 여성 한부모의 스트레스가 학업지속에 미치는 영향: 아동 양육비 및 돌봄 지원 한부모가족 정책의 조절효과 검증 (Influence of Adolescent Female Single-parent's Stress on the Sustainability of Education: To investigate the moderating Effect on the Single-parent Family Policy Support for child rearing)

  • The Korean government implemented better support for adolescent single-parent families by expanding the coverage of the Single-parent Family Support Act in 2010. In order to understand the effect, this study verified the moderating effect of the single-parent family policy's support for child rearing in the context of adolescent female single-parent's stress levels and education sustainability. This study utilized part of the National Youth Policy Institute's 'Research on the Actual Condition of the Adolescent Pregnancy, Birth and Rearing Children'. Participants of the study were 248 adolescent single-parents aged 24 and below. The findings and discussion of this study are as follows. First, the stress level of adolescent female single-parent in continuing studies was lower than those for discontinued studies. Students who discontinued their education in the middle of studies showed an increase in life stress level relative to age because they had a low level of education and had discontinued studies before pregnancy. Second, the public nanny service has been verified as an element to increase the continuation of education by controlling the level of stress. It is advisable to fortify and expand the scope of support for childcare services in the form of a study assistant or child education assistant. Last, adolescent single-parent childcare subsidies have been verified as a direct factor that raised the meaningful level of education continuity potential to a meaningful standard that can be seen as a more effective method than general policy support for single-parent families.

보육교사의 자아탄력성과 이직의도간의 관계에서 직무스트레스의 매개효과 (The Mediating Effect of Job Stress on Child Care Teacher's Resilience and Turnover Intention)

  • Objective: The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between ego-resilience, job stress, and turnover intention of child care teachers. Methods: The collected data was analyzed using descriptive statistics, Pearson's correlation, and structural equation models using SPSS 23 and AMOS 22. The effects of a child care teacher's resilience on turnover intention as a result of job stress was indirectly evaluated by bootstrapping. Results: First, all sub-factors of a child care teacher's resilience were negatively correlated with job stress and turnover intention. Job stress was positively correlated with turnover intention. Second, job stress levels of child care teachers showed a full mediating role in the relationship between resilience and turnover intention. Conclusion/Implications: High job stress levels of child care teachers had a negative effect on the daycare field, with significant effects of job stress on resilience and turnover intention.

배우자의 가사 노동 개입이 여성 우울증에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Spouse's Housework Intervention on Women's Depression)

  • 본 연구는 경기 수원, 이천, 여주, 광주 지역 소재 학령기 이후 자녀를 둔 어머니 119명을 대상으로 배우자의 가사노동개입이 여성의 우울증에 미치는 영향력을 밝히는 목적으로 구조화된 설문지에 의한 필드 조사 방법을 통해 10일 간의 실증조사를 하였다. 연구 결과 배우자의 가사노동개입이 여성의 우울증에 미치는 영향에 대한 검정결과 유의적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 그리고 배우자의 가사노동개입의 주중 주말과 자녀돌봄여부에 따라 우울증 유병률에 차이를 나타냈다. 이 같은 차이는 배우자의 가사노동개입에 따라 여성의 우울증에 미치는 영향에 주중 돌봄과 주말 돌봄에 따라 차이가 있고 이는 배우자의 가사노동개입에 따른 가사 부담 또한 경감될수록 우울증이 낮아지며, 예방에 도움이 됨을 의미한다. 이 같은 결과는 배우자의 가사노동개입이 단순 주중 주말의 자녀돌봄 수준과 개입의 정도에 따라 여성의 우울증에 미치는 영향력에 차이가 있음에 따라 가사와 자녀 돌봄 등 전체적인 가족관리까지 개입하여 분담할 때 효과가 보다 극대화될 수 있음을 시사한 것으로 평가할 수 있다.

어머니의 양육스트레스 및 유아의 기질적 까다로움과 문제행동과의 관계에서 탄력성의 중재효과 (The Moderating Effects of Preschoolers' Resilience on the Relationships between Parenting Stress, Preschoolers' Difficult Temperament and Problematic Behaviors)

  • Objective: This study investigated the relationships between preschoolers' difficult temperament, resilience, problematic behaviors, and maternal parenting stress. In addition, the research examined the moderating effects of resilience on the relationships between maternal parenting stress, preschoolers'difficult temperament and problematic behaviors Methods: The participants were 200 four to six year olds attending kindergartens and daycare centers in Seoul, Gyeonggi-do, or Gangwon-do. Mothers completed the questionaries to measure children's temperament, parenting stress, and problem behaviors. Children's resilience was assessed by teacher ratings. Results: Significant correlations were found among maternal parenting stress, preschoolers' difficult temperament and problematic behaviors. Moreover, resilience moderated the associations between difficult temperament and problematic behaviors but it did not moderate the relation between maternal parenting stress and problematic behaviors. Conclusion/Implications: The results suggest that it is necessary to provide comprehensive intervention to reduce maternal parenting stress and improve preschoolers'resilience in order to prevent their problematic behaviors.

보육교사의 역할갈등, 셀프 리더십이 심리적 복지에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Role Conflict, Self Leadership on Teacher's Psychological Welfare)

  • 본 연구에서는 보육교사의 역할갈등, 셀프 리더십이 심리적 복지에 미치는 영향에 대하여 연구하였다. 연구대상은 서울과 경기도에 소재한 어린이집 64개를 선정하여 보육교사 260명을 대상으로 상관계수와 중 다회귀분석을 실시하였다. 연구결과는 첫째, 보육교사의 역할갈등, 셀프 리더십, 심리적 복지 간의 관계를 살펴보면, 역할 스트레스와 역할모호성, 행동지향, 건설적 사고는 긍정적 복지가, 역할모호성과 행동지향은 긍정적복지가, 그리고 자연보상과 부정적복지의 하위변인을 제외한 모든 하위영역에서 상관이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 중다회귀분석 결과, 심리적 복지에 영향을 미치는 가장 높은 변인은 자연보상, 역할모호성, 그리고 역할스트레스 순으로 나타난 반면, 그 외 모든 하위변인에서는 통계적으로 유의미한 예측변인이 아닌 것으로 나타났다.

직무스트레스가 보육교사의 소진에 미치는 영향: 소명의식의 매개효과를 중심으로 (The Effects of Job Stress on Child Care Teachers' Burnout: The Mediating Effect of Career Calling)

  • Objective: The purpose of the present study was to examine the mediating role of career calling in the relationship between job stress and burnout as well as the association among job stress, career calling, and burnout. Methods: A sample of three-hundred and seven child care teachers in the metropolitan area of Seoul completed questionnaires on job stress, career calling, and burnout. Results: Correlation and regression analyses indicated that lack of directors' leadership and administrative support, work overload, and career calling significantly predicted child care teachers' burnout. Moreover, the association of lack of directors' leadership and administrative support of burnout was mediated by career calling. Conclusion/Implications: The findings suggest that directors' leadership and seamless administrative support need to be emphasized in order to reduce burnout and mitigate work-related stress among child care teachers. The findings also highlight the important role of career calling in reducing burnout among child care teachers and suggest the consideration of career calling as a target in interventions and educational programs.

맞벌이 부부의 성역할태도와 사회적 지원이 양육스트레스에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Double-Income Couples'Gender Role Attitudes and Recognition of Social Support on Parenting Stress)

  • This study examined the effects of gender role attitudes and recognition of social support on parenting stress in double-income couples. Participants included 102 double-income couples who had children enrolled in employersupported childcare centers. The findings showed that those husbands or wives who had recognized a higher level of spousal cooperation reported to have felt lower levels of parenting stress. Further, husbands and wives who had held traditional attitudes about gender roles reported to experience higher levels of parenting stress. However, when the significance in predictability was compared, the recognition of spousal cooperation was found to be the only variable explaining the variance husbands' and wives' parenting stress levels.
