한국 어린이집 아동학대의 학대 특성 및 아동보호서비스의 최종조치 관련 요인 분석 (Characteristics of the Child Maltreatment at Day Care Centers and the Case Dispositions of Child Protective Services in Korea)

  • 본 연구는 한국 공보육 시스템의 근간이 되는 어린이집에서 최근 발생한 아동학대를 분석했다. 어린이집 아동학대를 이해하기 위한 첫걸음으로 본 연구는 어린이집 아동학대에 관한 가장 광범위하고 공신력있는 자료라고 할 수 있는 아동보호전문기관의 국가 아동학대 사례조사관리 시스템에 접근하여 2010년에서 2012년 사이 아동보호전문기관에 신고된 어린이집 아동학대 전수(n=462)를 연구 대상으로 삼았다. 자체 개발된 코딩 시스템을 통해 사례조사기록에서 아동학대의 구체적 특성 및 관련정보와 최종 조치 결과를 체계적으로 추출했다. 연구 결과 어린이집 아동학대의 낮은 학대 판정율과 낮은 신고 의무자에 의한 신고 비율, 높은 신체학대 비율(즉, 학대 유형별 동질성), 학대 심각성의 다양성이 나타났고 최종 조치 관련요인들이 피해아동, 학대 행위자, 어린이집 대상별로 서로 다르게 나타남을 알 수 있었다. 이를 바탕으로 아동학대 연구를 위한 학문적 함의와 어린이집 아동학대 근절과 예방을 위한 실천적 함의를 논하였다.

영국 보육교사의 직무만족도와 직무스트레스 (The study of British Child Care Teacher's Job Satisfaction and Their Job Stress)

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the job satisfaction and the job stress of British child care teachers. Respondents, including childminders, were 137 British child care teachers who worked in nursery school, day nursery, creche, and playgroup. In the survey on the job satisfaction of British child care teachers, they were asked to answer two items. In the survey on their job stress level, they were required to rate their job-related stress levels on a 5 point scale of 'Job Stress scale' by Davis et al(2003). The results indicated: firstly, the British child care teachers are much satisfied with their job and have the low level of job stress. Secondly, their job satisfaction depends on who runs the child care facilities, what position they have in the centers, how long they work for child care, what qualifications they have. The levels of their job stress depend significantly on their present position in the centers. Thirdly, the job satisfaction of British child care teachers is explained about 27%, is related to their performing of daily routine, their age, the management of child care centers and qualifications of the teachers.

보육교사의 건강증진행위와 건강상태간의 구조모형 (Structural Equation Model for Health Promotion Behavior and Health Status on Child Care Teachers)

  • Purpose: This study was conducted to verify model for predicting health promotion behavior and the health status of child care teachers based on Pender's health promotion model and Dahlgren and Whitehead's health determinants model. Methods: The data was collected from January to February 2018 from 205 child care teachers in day care centers in Seoul. Results: This model was suitable to explain the health status and health promotion behavior of child care teachers. In this study, health promotion behavior had the most direct affect on the health status of child care teachers. Health promotion behavior was directly affected by social support, self-efficacy, and depression. Job stress had an indirect affect on health promotion behavior. Conclusion: Considering the factors identified in this study that influence the health promotion behavior of child care teachers, we propose the development of interventions to improve the health status of child care teachers.

교사효능감이 영아의 어린이집 적응에 미치는 영향: 교사-영아 관계의 매개효과 (The Influences of Teacher Efficacy on Infant's Adjustment to Child Care Centers: The Mediated Effect of Teacher-Infant Relationships)

  • Objective: The aim of this study was to examine the mediated effect of teacher-infant relationships between teacher efficacy and infant's adjustment to child care centers. Methods: A total of 137 child care teachers that lived in Gwangju and Jeollanamdo participated in this study. They were asked to answer two survey questionnaires for two infants. The data were analyzed using analysis of frequency, Pearson's correlation coefficient, and hierarchical multiple regression analysis. Results: The main results are as follows. First, teacher-infant relationships partially mediated the relationship between teacher efficacy and two sub-factors (prosocial behavior and day work adjustment) of adjustment in child care centers. Unlikely as it was, several sub-factors such as positive emotion, peer adaptation, and self-strength were fully mediated by teacher-infant relationships. Conclusion: The present study suggests that it is necessary to improve teacher-infant relationships with teacher efficacy in order to improve infants' adaptation to daycare. In addition, it should be understood that the structural relationship of the influence factors is different depending on the sub-factors of the child care adjustment.

보육시설 영유아의 건강사정을 위한 기록지 개발 (A Study on the Development of Children's Health Assessment Tools in Child Care Centers)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to develop child's health assessment tools for children in child care centers. Methods: Based on the literature review and several types of workshops participated with the child health nursing professors, doctoral students, nurses in pediatric units and pediatric psychiatric units from July to December 2006, the standards of child health assessment tools were developed. Graduate students and 4th grade students in nursing were trained for health assessment and used these assessment tools to validate the content and reliability of said tools. Results: Some record forms were newly developed, including demographic characteristics, past history, present health status, behavioral problems, and appropriate developmental screening tests in child care centers were selected. For systematic health care management in child care centers, daily care report, illness log, and referral sheet were also developed. Conclusion: In the face of growing utilization of daycare and their association with increased risk of various diseases, assessment and control measures are indispensable to the promotion of child health. Children's physical and mental health and developmental problems can be assessed using this assessment tools. They can be used for establishing the direction for developing a health care service system for young children.

  • This study investigated working mothers' attitudes toward maternal employment and beliefs regarding childcare quality according to the childcare centers' operating modalities and hours. Participants were 261 mothers sending their children to full day, nighttime, or 24-hour childcare centers. We conducted the data analysis two-way ANOVA using SPSS. The results revealed significant differences among the groups in these working mothers' attitudes toward maternal employment and their beliefs regarding childcare quality and childcare centers' operating modalities and hours.

영아보육 및 가족변인이 어머니의 앙육행동에 미치는 영향 (Infant Day-Care and Family Factors on Maternal Behavior)

  • Multiple features of infant day-care are explored, including age of entry, quantity, quality and stability of day-care. And relative contribution of day-care and family factors on maternal behaviors are examined. Data were gathered from 299 mothers who have infants aged under 36 months using self-report questionnaires. Results show that more than 40% infants enter day-care before 6 months of their life and about 85% of infants have far more than 30 hours of care a week. Half of the infants experience different day-care arrangements more than once. Compared to the other types of day-care, frequency of day-care arrangement change and quality of care are highest in private child-care centers. A series of Hierarchical regression results reveal that quality of day care is negatively related to mothers' control behavior whereas positively related to mothers' responsive behavior. But in general, family and child characteristics play a greater role in mothers' parenting behaviors than infant day-care characteristics.

탁아기관의 급식개선을 위한 식단의 운용시험 (Evaluation of Implemented Computer Generated Menus for the Improvement of Food Service Operation in Child-Care Centers)

  • The purpose of this study was to evaluate implemented computer generated menus for foodservice in child-care centers. Computer generated menus, which were developed in the previous study, were based on the children's preferences and the bugets of the centers. Computer generated menus were implemented for food service in each national/public, foundation established, and employer-supported child care centers in Seoul, respectively. Plate wastes, preferences, and nutrient intakes of their meals of the existing menus were compared with those of computer-generated menus. The nutrient contents from their nutritional analysis of meals of the computer generated and existing menus satisfied the recommended dietary level (RDfU3). However, at the eaten of computer-generated menus satisfied RDA/3, and the existing menus lacked energy, Ca, Vit Bl, Vit B2 and Vit C. The meals served by computer-generated menus reduced the plate wastes and increased the acceptability of the children in day care centers.

  • Escalating rate of working women is increasing the necessity for day-care centers. Moreover, insufficient child-care system is known as one of many factors that relate to the seriously low birth-rate of our society. Therefore providing more adequate day-care centers can not be regarded as a mere personal necessity but a social need to be considered at corporate and governmental level. The current study analyzes 'Reggio-emilia teaching method' which is a type of early childhood educational program and its relationship to the built environment. It also examines current interior spaces of Reggio-emilia day-care centers and suggests designs for an day-care center appropriate for educating children in Korea.

영유아 보육프로그램 실태 분석 연구 (An Analysis of Edu-care Programs in Korean Day Care Centers)

  • This study analyzed Korean edu-care programs for young children, including such parameters as educational planning and management, instructional materials, health, social life, expressiveness, language, and discovery. Using a questionnaire consisting of 170 items developed for the study, 830 parents evaluated the programs of 200 day care centers which their young children were attending Results showed that the programs serving children from birth through 2 years of age need to be better tailored to their developmental level by months of age, and the quality of programs for 3- to 5-year-olds needs to be enhanced. Suggestions were presented for the improvement of edu-care programs.
