Even though intracerebral hematoma (ICH) due to ruptured cerebral aneurysm has been treated by aneurysm clipping at the same time of removal of ICH through craniotomy, such management strategy is controversial in an aged patients with poor clinical grade. In this regards, stereotactic aspiration of hematoma following coil embolization can be an alternative treatment modality. Thus, the authors report a case of an aged patient who underwent stereotactic aspiration of ICH following coil embolization for the ruptured aneurysm with a brief review of literature.

We report a case of endodermal cyst of the posterior fossa. A 44-year-old man presented with headache for three months. Computed tomography and magnetic resonance imaging revealed a $6{\times}2.5{\times}2cm$ sized extra-axial non-enhancing cystic lesion on the ventral aspect to brain stem. To avoid retraction injury to brain stem, far lateral transcondylar approach was selected. Right suboccipital craniotomy and partial removal of occipital condyle with resection of C-1 and C-2 hemilaminae exposed the extra-axial cyst well. The cyst has a whitish thick membrane. It was not adherent to brain stem and lower cranial nerves. Total removal of the cyst was done without difficulty. Histological analysis disclosed a layer of pseudostratified columnar epithelium with basement membrane. The result of immunohistochemical study was consistent with endodermal cyst.

Purpose: Hemoperfusion is an effective modality of extracorporeal elimination of toxins in acutely poisoned patients. We evaluated the effect of hemoperfusion on plasma concentration of toxins in patients exposed to certain pesticides. Methods: Eleven patients who were acutely exposed to pesticides participated in our study. We measured plasma pesticide concentration from the whole blood obtained by arterial and venous sources by gas chromatography. Results: The plasma concentrations of only 3 patients was measured. Methidation clearance by hemoperfusion was 82.2%, fenitrothion was 23%, and endosulfan was 0% Conclusion: Measurement of plasma organophosphate concentration is not a practical application. Our results suggest that hemoperfusion is applicable in patients with pesticide intoxication according to clinical status.

This study is purposed to find out the relation between the customer loyalty and customer satisfaction factors in Cheonan banquet service. To achieve the objects, customers of banquet companies in Cheonan were selected for a questionnaire survey and a total of 293 valid questionnaires are statistically analyzed, using frequency analysis, factor analysis, reliability analysis and regression analysis. The results can be summarized as follows. First, gender, occupation, family forms showed the statistically different results in the service trust. Second, service trust, menu and traffic factors have been approved to affect the revisit intention of a customer significantly. Third, service trust, menu and facilities factors have been approved to affect the word-of-mouse intention significantly. In summary, banquet managers in Cheonan have to focus on the customer satisfaction factors such as service trust, menu, traffic, facilities to meet the customers' needs.

본 논문에서는 고각이 변경되는 레이다의 탐지거리에 대해서 연구하였다. 일반적으로 레이다의 탐지거리는 지구의 곡율에 의한 지형적 영향과 전파의 감쇄로 인한 전력밀도에 의해서 결정되는 요소가 있다. 레이다의 탐지거리의 앞의 두 가지가 모두 만족되어야하며, 레이다의 고각이 변경되면 지형에 의한 탐지거리가 변경되므로 전체적인 탐지 거리에 변화가 생긴다. 본 논문에서는 레이다의 고각의 변경에 따른 가시거리 변경을 중점적으로 기술하였다.

최근 지리적으로 분산된 고성능 컴퓨터 자원을 네트워크로 상호 연동하여 사용할 수 있도록 하는 그리드 연구가 활발히 진행하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 Globus 툴킷에서 사용자에게 자원의 상태 정보를 서비스하는 MDS (Metacomputing Directory Service)에 링크의 대역폭이나 지연 시간 등의 네트워크 자원 정보를 제공하는 네트워크 정보 제공자를 개발한다. 이를 위해 Globus 툴킷의 MDS와 NWS 시스템을 분석하고, 이를 바탕으로 NWS의 센서 부분을 이용하여 네트워크 정보 스키마 정의, 정보 제공자 프로그램 작성, MDS 구성 파일 수정 등을 통해 네트워크 정보 제공자를 구현한다.

A cultivation of Pleurotus spp. on tree-stumps and logs, was first described at the beginning of the twentieth century. Now Pleurolus spp. is the most popular mushrooms in Korea. Especially, P. ostreatus has been cultivated for many years since artificial cultivation methods were developed in 1980's. Its productivity occurring almost 32% in Korea. To find the vision of mushroom research, the beginning and history of Pleurolus spp. cultivation were introduced worldwide based on Journal of Mushroom Science. The important innovation and history in cultivation were also discussed in Korea.

Paraqaut, a widely used herbicide, is extremely toxic, causing multiple organ failure in human. Most of paraquat intoxications happen through oral administration. But there is no clinical data for parenteral paraquat intoxication. A 35-year-old male injected paraquat solution on his forearm. He visited emergency room within 10 minutes and was treated with tourniquet, incision, washing and suction. After eight days, the patient was discharged without respiratory symptoms and complications. In treatment of parenteral paraquat intoxication, first aid was very important and the treatment should include tourniquet, incision, washing and suction in order to delay absorptions.

A case of intramedullary spinal cord lipoma is presented. A one month-old male infant presented with irritability and weakness on his upper extremities. A magnetic resonance[MR] image of the cervical spine demonstrated a well defined, high signal intensity lesion on both T1 and T2-weighted MR images and suppression on the fat saturation sequence. The tumor mass extended from the foramen magnum to T2 vertebra level. Ventral displacement of the spinal cord with kinking of the cervico-medullary junction was evident on the T2-weighted sagittal image. Partial resection of the tumor mass through laminoplastic laminotomy from C1 to T2 resulted in improved motor weakness on his upper extremities.

Asthma is a chronic inflammatory disease of the airways characterized by varying and recurrent symptoms, reversible airway obstruction, and bronchospasm. In this paper, clinical important studies on asthma published between March 2021 and February 2022 were reviewed. A study on the relationship between asthma and chronic rhinosinusitis, bronchiectasis, and hormone replacement therapy was published. A journal on the usefulness of fractional exhaled nitric oxide for the prediction of severe acute exacerbation was also introduced. Studies on the effect of inhaler, one of the most important treatments for asthma, were published. Studies on the control of severe asthma continued. Phase 2 and 3 studies of new biologics were also published. As the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic has been prolonged, many studies have explored the prevalence and mortality of COVID-19 infection in asthma patients.
