오리나무 잎벌레(Agelastica coerulea B.) 방제용 살충제 Trichlorfon(Dipterex)의 환경 동태 (Environmental Fate of Trichlorfon Used to Control Agelastica coerulea B. in Forest by Aerial Application)

  • 오리나무잎벌레 방제용으로 항공 살포한 trichlorfon($Dipterex^R$ 혹은 $Dylox^R$)의 환경생태계내 동태를 조사한 결과는 다음과 같다. 1. 슬라이드그라스에서 검출한 trichlorfon으로서 항공 살포시에 농약이 적량으로 살포되었음을 알 수 있었고 살포한 당일에 거의 소실됨을 확인하였다. 음지에 낙하되는 약량은 노지에 비하여 약 1/100에 불과하였다. 2. 수중에서 검출된 trichlorfon은 항공살포에 의한 내수면의 오염이 동물성 플랑크톤류에 영향을 미칠 수 있는 농도임을 확인하였고, 강우에 의한 내수면의 재 오염이 가능함을 관찰하였다. 3. 토양에 잔류한 trichlorfon의 변화양상을 보면 위치에 따라 소실속도의 완급이 다름을 알 수 있었고 슬라이드그라스와는 달리 소실속도가 늦음을 확인하였다. 4. 식물체 엽면에 살포된 농약의 양은 예상 투하량 보다 비교적 적었고 소실 속도는 토양에서와 유사한 양상이었다. 본 연구에서 밝혀진 잔류량의 변화만으로서는 그 소실 형태가 물리적인 확산, 이동에 의해서인지 화학적인광분해, 가수분해 등에 의해서인지는 확실치 않았으므로 차후에 보완적인 연구가 수행되어야 함과 아울러 문제시 되는 수중농도의 생물학적인 영향 연구도 병행되어 야 할 것이다.

Chemical composition, antioxidant potential and cyto-protecting activity of essential oil of Liriodendron tulipifera L. leaves

  • Objectives : The present study was under taken to characterize chemical composition, antioxidant and cyto-protecting capacity of essential oil obtained from leaves of Liriodendron tulipifera L. Methods : Essential oil from the leafof L. tulipifera L. (EOLL) was extracted by hydro-distillation process and further its chemical composition was evaluated by GC-MS analysis. The in vitro antioxidant potential of the EOLL was determined by DPPH , ABTS ●+, superoxide and nitric oxide free radical scavenging activity using different concentrations in the range of 50-800 μg/mL. In addition, cyto-protecting property of the EOLLwas determined by MTT assay on Raw 264.7 macrophage cells challenged with hydrogen peroxide (H 2 O 2 ). Results : The result of GC-MS analysis showed presence of 34 volatile compounds, principally germacrene D, spathulenol, and α -cadinol in EOLL. The in vitro antioxidant assays of EOLL at the highest used concentration of 800 μg/mL showed 81.62, 84.29, 83.59 and 58.59% inhibition of DPPH , ABTS ●+, superoxide, and nitric oxide radicals, respectively. It also showed ferric reducing ability with 1310.04 mM Fe (II)/g of essential oil. The EOLL at three different concentrations (200, 400 and 800 μg/mL) protected the cells from H 2 O 2 -induced cell damage through scavenging intracellular ROS. Conclusion : The findings from the study suggest that essential oil isolated from leaves of L tulipifera L. is a potent sources of natural antioxidants, which could be used to treat the diseases associated with oxidative stress condition.

Chemical composition of different parts of ramie (Boehmeria nivea)

  • Ramie (Boehmeria nivea) is a perennial herbaceous plant belonging to the family Urticaceae. It was used in folk remedies for diuretic or anti-pyretic purposes and as an hepatoprotective, anti-oxidant, and anti-inflammation agent. In this study, we investigated the composition of free sugars, amino acids, fatty acids, organic acids, and total polyphenol contents in parts of ramie (root, stem, and leaf) and different harvest areas (10 areas). Overall, free sugars were found as sucrose, glucose, fructose, and galactose at concentrations ranging from 24.5 to 1173.8 mg/g. Amino acids lysine, threonine, tyrosine, phenylalanine, and histidine were detected at concentrations of 33.8 to 3735.3 mg/g. Major fatty acids were linoleic acid, palmitic acid, and linolenic acid at concentrations of 7.3 to 364.4 mg/g. In organic acids, the concentration of malic acid was highest of all with 672.2 mg/g. The content of free sugars, amino acids, fatty acids, organic acids, and total polyphenol was higher in leaves than in roots and stems. In contrast, the total polyphenol content was higher in roots with 33.7 - 219.4 mg/g than in leaves or in stems. As seen in collecting region, the contents of free sugars, amino acids, fatty acids, organic acids, and total polyphenol of Bn-33, 39, 55, 65, and 90 were higher than other samples. Chemical compositions of different parts of ramie are important factors to consider in manufacturing functional foods. The results of this study provide fundamental information on the chemical compositions of ramie parts and would help develop new functional foods from ramie leaves or the whole plant.

경북지역 복숭아 과수원 토양 화학성 및 복숭아 엽의 양분함량 조사 (Soil Chemical Properties of Peach Orchard and Nutrient Content of Peach Leaves In Gyeongbuk Area)

  • 복숭아 주산지역인 청도, 영덕, 영천지역 60개 과원을 대상으로 토양의 화학적 특성 및 엽중 양분함량을 조사하였다. 표토의 pH는 평균 4.8정도로 비교적 낮은 편이었고, 치환성 칼슘함량은 $3.66cmol^+kg^{-1}$, 석회 요구량은 $3,970kg\;ha^{-1}$정도였다. 산간지 토양이 평야지에 비해 석회요구량이 많았고 치환성 칼륨 및 마그네슘함량이 높았으며 양토에서 석회요구량이 가장 많았고 유효붕소함량은 양토와 사양토에서 높았다. 경작년수가 증가함에 따라 심토의 유기물함량, 표토와 심토의 칼슘함량이 증가하였고 심토의 유효인산 함량은 감소하였다. 복숭아 엽중 질소와 인산함량은 적정범위에 비해 높았고 칼슘함량은 적정범위에 비해 낮았으며 유명, 창방조생등의 품종이 천홍, 선광등 nectarine 계통에 비해 칼륨함량이 높았다. 토양 유기물함량과 식물체의 칼륨함량과 정의 상관, 칼슘함량과는 부의 상관이었고 치환성 마그네슘함량과 식물체의 칼슘함량과는 부의 상관, 마그네슘함량과는 정의 상관이었다. 따라서 경북지역 복숭아 과원은 토양산도의 교정, 퇴비, 질소 및 인산질 비료의 사용을 적절히 조절할 필요가 있는 것으로 판단된다.

고구마 품종별 잎과 잎자루의 성분특성과 항산화활성 (Chemical Compositions and Antioxidant Activities of Leaves and Stalks from Different Sweet Potato Cultivars)

  • 고구마 잎과 잎자루에 대한 식품소재로서의 활용 가능성을 알아보기 위하여 14 품종의 고구마에 대한 일반성분, 무기질 및 항산화활성에 대해 조사하였다. 무기질 함량은 K과 Ca 함량이 가장 높았으며, 단백질 함량은 잎에서 15.57~20.34% 범위로 연황미 가장 높게 나타났고 잎자루에서는 3.71~5.97% 범위로 신천미에서 가장 높게 나타났다. 잎의 총 폴리페놀 함량과 플라보노이드 함량은 각각 46.26~85.10 mg/g 및 40.25~68.37 mg/g 범위로 건풍미에서 가장 높았으며, 잎자루는 각각 14.60~37.93 mg/g 및 10.18~22.48 mg/g으로 신천미에서 가장 높았다. DPPH 라디칼 소거활성은 잎의 경우 건풍미와 증미에서 $IC_{50}$값이 0.109 mg/mL로 가장 높았으며, 잎자루는 신천미가 0.448 mg/mL로 가장 높았다. 총 항산화력은 잎의 경우 건풍미가 58.75 mg AA eq/g으로 가장 높았고 잎자루는 대유미가 14.95 mg AA eq/g으로 가장 높았다. 이상의 결과로부터 고구마 잎이 잎자루보다 항산화활성 뿐만 아니라 단백질함량과 무기질함량이 풍부해 식품소재로써 활용가능성이 높을 것으로 판단된다.

Chemicals Constituents from Leaves of Diospyros iturensis (Gürke) Letouzey & F. White and their Biological Activities

  • The chemical investigation of the methanolic crude extract of leaves of Diospyros iturensis gave us 15 known secondary metabolites identified as mixture of α-amyrenone (1) and β-amyrenone (2), β-amyrin (3), mixture of β-sitosterol (4) and stigmasterol (5), betulin (6), uvaol (7), betulinic acid (8), ursolic acid (9), corosolic acid (10), actinidic acid (11),11-O-p-hydroxybenzoylbergenin (12), bergenin (13) and mixture of stigmasterol glucoside (14) and β-sitosterol glucoside (15) respectively. The structures of secondary metabolites were elucidated with the help of NMR and mass spectral data and by comparison of their spectral data with literature. Among the fifteen isolated compounds, four compounds were identified for the first time in Diospyros genus. These included uvaol (7), corosolic acid (10), actinidic acid (11) and 11-O-p-hydroxybenzoylbergenin (12). Crude methanolic extract of leaves and four isolated compounds including betulin (6), betulinic acid (8), 11-O-p-hydroxybenzoylbergenin (12) and bergenin (13) were evaluated for their antiproliferative activity against two cancer cell lines CAL-27 and NCI-H460 by the MTT assay, antioxidant potential and inhibitory activity against the lipoxygenase and urease enzymes, respectively. The results indicated that the methanolic crude extract of leaves exhibited moderate antioxidant activity and was inactive against the two cancer cell lines. Betulin (6), 11-O-p-hydroxybenzoylbergenin (12) and bergenin (13) exhibited moderate antioxidant and lipoxygenase inhibition with IC50 = 65.8, 85.6, 82.5 μM and IC50 = 58.5, 95.2, 76.2 μM, respectively. Furthermore, 11-O-p-hydroxybenzoylbergenin (12) and bergenin (13) exhibited moderate urease inhibition activity with IC50 values of 45.6 μM and 49.8 μM, respectively.

  • One new triterpenoidal bisdesmoside, saponin C (3) were isolated from the leaves of Kalopanax pictum var. chinense along with two known saponins, saponin B (2, sapindoside C) and saponin A (1, sapoindoside B). On the basis of chemical and spectral evidences, the structure of a new triterpenoidal saponin has been elucidated to be 3-O-$\beta$-D-glucopyranosyl (1$\rightarrow$4)$\beta$-D-xylopyranosyl (1$\rightarrow$3)-$\alpha$-L-rhamnopyranosyl (1$\rightarrow$2)-$\alpha$-L-arabino-pyranosyl-23-hydroxyolean-12-en-28-O-$\alpha$-L-rhamnopyrano syl (1$\rightarrow$4)-$\beta$-D-glucopyranosyl (1$\rightarrow$6)-$\beta$-D-glucopyranosyl ester.

오갈피나무 잎의 트리테르펜 성분 (Triterpene Components from the Leaves of Acanthopanax sessiliflorus Seem)

  • The leaves of Acanthopanax sessiliflorus Seem. (Araliaceae), which is native plant to Korea, have not been studied yet on triterpene constituents. Three 3,4-seco-lupane triterpenoids (Compound I-III) were isolated from the MeOH extract of this plant using Diaion HP-20P, silica gel and ODS column chromatographes. Based on physicochemical and spectroscopic data, the chemical structures of these compounds were identified as follows ; chiisanogenin (Compound I), chiisanoside (Compound II), $22{\alpha}-hydroxychiisanoside$ (Compound III).

  • AtnsLTP (Arabidopsis nonspecific lipid transfer proteins)를 효모로부터 분리정제 하였다. AtnsLTP를 들깨 재배시 처리함으로 병해충의 피해와 기능성 물질 향상에 관계되는 실험을 수행하여 얻어진 결과는 다음과 같다. ‘만천들깨’ 잎에 각기 다른 농도의 AtnsLTP를 처리한바, anthocyain의 함량변화는 무처리에 비해 약 2배 이상 증가하였다. 또한 엽록소 함량은 16%이상 증가하였다. 따라서 AtnsLTP는 고기능성과 고품질 들깨잎 생산에 효과적이라고 생각되어진다.

  • The studies were camied out to evaluate the constituents in the leaves of Crataegus pinnatifida var. psilosa (Rosaceae) continuously. From the BuOH fraction of the MeOH extract, four flavonoid compounds, hyperoside (1), vitexin (2), 3"-O-rhamnosylvitexin (3) and $quercetin-3-O-{\alpha}-L-rhamnopyranoslyl-(1{\rightarrow}6)-{\beta}$-D-galactopyranoside (4) were isolated and identified on the basis of their physico-chemical properties and spectroscopic evidences by comparison with authentic samples.
