주입식 총유량 자동제어방식 분관 방제기의 개발 (A Direct Injection-mixing Total-flow-control Boom Sprayer System)

  • A direct injection sprayer was designed using the concepts of injection mixing and total flow control, flowrate-based system compensating for the variation of forwarding speed. A metered rate, proportionally to the actual diluent flow rate, of a tracer chemical was injected directly into the diluent stream. The injection of chemical may improve the precision and safety of chemical application process. The control system was evaluated for the variables of the control interval, tolerances and sensitivities of flow regulation valve and injection pump. Performance of the system was assessed as that the response time of flow rate, response time of injection rate, absolute steady state error, and the coefficient of variance(C.V.) of concentration were 8.5 and -0.53 seconds, 0.067 lpm(0.8%) and 3.15%, respectively, at optimal parameters of control interval of 1.0 sec, fast sensitivity of flow regulation valve, medium sensitivity of injection pump and medium tolerance of flow rate. Performance of the system can be improved by increasing the sensitivity of flow regulating valve and employing a high resolution velocimeter, such as Doppler radar.

  • Automatic control system using microcomputer that have been studied in greenhouse, however, it was very difficult operation with success due to handicap for a various conditions and cultivated plants. This study was performed in order to develop of the basic program and hardware system for automatic control in greenhouse, such as automatic supplying of water, liquefied fertilizer solution and chemical solution. The results were summarized as follows. 1. The program for soil moisture control used by the switch type tensiometer was well operated. 2. The proximity switch was applied as well to water level control but it was very expensive, so low-priced sensor has to be developed. 3. The water meter was not excellent for mixing control of liquefied fertilizer, chemical and water, so water meter for only agricalture has to be developed. 4. Interface system for this study was suited to the developed controller. 5. Automatic control system to supply for water, liquefied fertilizer and chemical solution that was well operated as a fundamental study for product of controller.

  • 최근에 환경안전관리는 효과성, 효율성, 우수성이라는 측면에서 사고의 손실비용을 줄이기 위하여 다양하게 접근을 하고 있다. 대부분의 기업은 산업화시대의 대량생산적인 측면에서의 생산성향상보다는 기업을 건전하게 성장시킬 수 있는 손실을 감소시키는데 초점을 맞추고 있다. 본 연구는 석유화학산업에서 기본적으로 운영하고 있는 ISO14001, OHSAS18001, PSM, Responsible Care의 기본적인 요구사항과 지속적 발전을 위하여 요구되는 사항을 분석하여, 손실을 지속적으로 관리할 수 있는 석유화학공장에서의 지속적 발전을 위한 손실관리시스템(LCMCI; the Loss Control Management system for Continuous Improvement of the Petrochemical Industries)를 개발하였다.

  • For the control of chemical process, optimal value of the process should be known at first. And process simulation is the previous step of optimal value calculation. However it is not a simple work to analyze chemical process system. Especially for the large scale chemical process system, many difficulties such as non-linearity and complexity caused by recycle streams should be overcome. In this paper, three strategies of large scale chemical process analysis were explained and discussed with case studies.

  • The Internet technology has been recognized not only as a tool far communication in the 21st century but also as an environment for enabling changes in the paradigm of teaching and learning. This paper describes a web-based system development for chemical engineering education. Simulation and visualization of dynamic systems in the environment of a standard web-browser is made possible by extending its capabilities. ActiveX control is used to simulate the system tool far online representation of Virtual Lab. System that is developed using visual basic. The courseware is classified into tutorial, exercises, and virtual experiments.

  • Model predictive control algorithm requires a relevant model of the system to be controlled. Unfortunately, the first principle model describing a polymerization reaction system has a large number of parameters to be estimated. Thus there is a need for the identification and control of a polymerization reactor system by using available input-output data. In this work, the polynomial auto-regressive moving average (ARMA) models are employed as the input-output model and combined into the nonlinear model predictive control algorithm based on the successive linearization method. Simulations are conducted to identify the continuous styrene polymerization reactor system. The input variables are the jacket inlet temperature and the feed flow rate whereas the output variables are the monomer conversion and the weight-average molecular weight. The polynomial ARMA models obtained by the system identification are used to control the monomer conversion and the weight-average molecular weight in a continuous styrene polymerization reactor It is demonstrated that the nonlinear model predictive controller based on the polynomial ARMA model tracks the step changes in the setpoint satisfactorily. In conclusion, the polynomial ARMA model is proven effective in controlling the continuous styrene polymerization reactor.

  • Automatic flow control system composed by hardware and software was designed and fabricated to be used as teaching tool of feedback control theory in university experimental class. This system includes hardwares like data acquisition board, flow measuring device, transmitters, and the pneumatic valve, and software like LabView program for the monitoring and control of flow rates. The system was designed as the student can see the control effect of not only set point but also disturbance changes. Also the LabView program was composed for the calculation of controller parameters of both Ziegler-Nichols and Cohen-Coon tuning. The students can apply both tuning constants and compare the control performances. This system will provide the easy way for the students to understand the function and specification of control hardwares, and to raise the programing ability of control software.

  • An integrated operation method of production control system for chemical-product job-shops is presented in this paper. A possible application of real-time control system is suggested to handle data from laboratory materials requirements to finished product shipment. A low cost intra-net is constructed to be used as the system network and applications are developed using Visual Basic. CGI programming is done to interface the applications with necessary databases.

  • A state or the arts in Japanese chemical process control is reviewed based on experience in applying advanced process control schemes to several industrial chemical processes. The applications validate model predictive control (MPC), the most popular advanced control scheme in the process control community, as, indeed, a powerful and practical control algorithm. However, at the same time, it is elucidated that MPC can solve only the control algorithm part of the problem and one needs chemical and systems engineering aspects to solve the entire problem. By illustrating several industrial process control problems, the need for chemical engineering aspects as well as the future direction for process control are addressed, especially in light or current attitudes toward product quality.

  • We propose a robust tuning method of the quadratic criterion based iterative learning control(Q-ILC) algorithm for discrete-time linear batch system. First, we establish the frequency domain representation for batch systems. Next, a robust convergence condition is derived in the frequency domain. Based on this condition, we propose to optimize the weighting matrices such that the upper bound of the robustness measure is minimized. Through numerical simulation, it is shown that the designed learning filter restores robustness under significant model uncertainty.
