This study suggests the basic resources for men's cosmetic which shows in history. Because not only ancient chief but also modern French noble men made up in the area where succeeded the traditional national cosmetic, when it was seen through historic or world, the men's cosmetic was generated and was more luxurious and presence than women. But since the French revolution, men was limited the collection of fashion, also the luxurious cloth and cosmetic disappeared. It was 1960s that men's cosmetic based rock musicians reappeared. And then, rock musicians made up luxuriously. The early cosmetic of rock musicians began from the protest's meaning for old fashioned value and fixed society. But gradually, it was changed the style that valued appearance's beauty. In the past, movie star's hair style and cloth were the basic fashion, but now the sportsmen are recognized heroes and their cosmetic is prevailing. Today, the basic meaning of men's presence fashion is that men and women's each role and self expression is allowed and appearance's decoration showed from sex roles disappeared. Men is limited body's beautiful expression and collective range but they fluently express each self imagination through work, special hobby, female attire and drag queen. From various men's beautiful expression, we will know that human beings want a society which is recognizing different self expressions.

The rapid growth and influence of digital technologies have had a profound effect on modern society. Companies and businesses can connect through SNS(social network service accounts). The importance of mass media empowers the creation of virtual images that are more realistic than time and space. Unlike traditional reproduction or imitation, the virtual images created in this way are reproduced in a form that lacks the original inspiration's essence. Jean Baudrillard described this phenomenon as the theory of simulation. Baudrillard argued that imitated simulated images replace reality. He stated that reality is lost under excessive images in modern society. In response, based on an understanding of the theory of hyper-reality that emerged through the late stages of the order of simulacre, this study aimed to analyze modern fashion's method of reproducing hyper-real images and investigate the method's characteristics. This study examined the characteristics of hyper-reality described by Baudrillard and analyzed the method of artistic expression of hyper-reality. Based on this method of expression, reproducibility, following the stages of image simulation, was derived. A specific case applied to fashion was analyzed, and based on the image reproduction method, specific characteristics of hyper-reality characteristics in fashion were obtained. Sixty-four collections were selected, out of which 155 images and 43 brands demonstrated the principles of image transformation.

To satisfy consumers' desire to enjoy their own individuality and cultural trends, the discovery of various materials and the expression of materials embodying their characteristics are increasingly important in the fashion jewelry industry. This study examines, paper mulberry fiber, a raw material of hanji that has been excavated as a new material for fashion jewelry, is durable as wall as, soft and easy to form, has a unique texture along with, excellent aesthetic quality, and expresses various colors, thereby differentiating itself from traditional fashion jewelry materials. The material itself also has symbolic significance as an approach to discovering new sustainable materials for fashion jewelry to ensure increased specificity of the product based on the premise of freedom of expression. The weight and optimal drying time of chicken fiber were derived for the study of fashion jewelry expression using the characteristics of paper mulberry fiber. The techniques of casting, deflection, packing and winding (winding beads with fibers and straps) were derived and four brooches were produced in total. This study is meaningful for the future of, the fashion jewelry industry as it presents the uses of new materials such as paper mulberry fiber to induce multidisciplinary consumption and to suggest a direction for the creation of new value-added products. Further, in order to expand the realm of fashion jewelry industry with our own competitive products that have secured our cultural identity and uniqueness in the global market, there must be continued follow-up research on mass production methods for industrialization.

Cultural analysis is closely related to 'Space' which we live in. This means that the shape of the space is not formed accidentally but is a cultural result from how we live. The approach through cultural analysis of space provides a good standard in order to understand people's values and lifestyles. Today the purpose of sightseeing has changed from just visiting some famous places to experiencing unique culture of other countries. Especially the demand of the sightseers which makes you experience culture through tasting food has been increasing. Yet there are some Korean restaurants that don't show enough Korean culture accurately. The purpose of this study is to research the figural characteristics in Korean interior design with the method of cultural analysis and how they are expressed in the Korean restaurants. In addition, I'd like to suggest that Korean figural characteristics are not old fashioned but are modern things that have grate potential to be reinterpreted.

The purpose of this study is to consider the works of Nick Knight, the most influential fashion visual maker, to find out the characteristics of his works. For the research method, literature reviews were done by studying his book, viewing the articles on his official web site, reading journal review of his works and his interview articles. For the work analysis, fashion brands 'Christian Dior', 'Alexander McQueen', 'Martin Margiela', 'Hussein Chalayan' and 'Gareth Pugh' that have worked with Nick Knight were selected. The characteristics of his fashion works were derived from overall analysis of fashion visual works. The characteristics of Nick Knight's works are as follows. First is the 'innovation of image expression'. He used digital infra in advance and introduced digital images at the initial stage. He used fashion films as the means of communication and tried new image expressions in 3D. Second is 'breaking down the boundaries of creating process'. He worked with various field experts to make high quality works. He invited the public to participate in his creative process through the internet. Third is 'breaking down the categories of aesthetic expression'. He provided a wide variety of aesthetic standard and refused aesthetic stereotype. He broke the boundaries between fashion and art with a unique technique and high values.

The present research aims to consider the real remains of 2 suits of Kasaya owned by the Hwaeom Temple(華嚴寺) based on research results about Kasaya in the meanwhile. The present research on 2 suits of remains which are Royal gifts given to monk soldiers in case of a national crisis of the Joseon Dynasty has a big meaning in examining characteristics of Kasaya and grasping characteristics and structure of the 17th century's Kasaya of the Joseon Dynasty through dense survey and analysis according to components. If examining characteristics of Kasaya, the Kasaya of the Great Monk Seo San(西山) is composed on the basis of an initial form of Sun and Moon Light Patch's generation and the Kasaya of the Great Monk Byeok Am(碧巖) has a form that is separately attached through production of embroidery patch as a process of being settled down. If examining what surrounds gold thread in the girth and expression of Sumeru and Chaeunmun(彩雲紋), the composition of a form similar to an insignia badge, so because this is a Royal gift, this can be estimated as being analyzed in a Buddhism aspect by devising a design from the insignia badge at the time, with a meaning like an official uniform given to a monk. Although the insignia badge is a square, it seems that the Sun and Moon Light Patch is made as a rectangular form corresponding to the structure of Kasaya. In addition, it is thought that what the Samjoko(三足烏) idea which is a symbol of the Sun based on Buddhism and Taoism is used together with Yijoko(二足烏) even in expression of the Sun and Moon Light Patch in the Joseon Dynasty which was a Confucian country has a relationship with what a bird was expressed in the insignia badge of winged animals.

Nowdays, transparency is one of important design concept in architectural expression and the new architectural probability of transparency is pursued continuously. This study is focused on the expressional characteristics of transparency in the comtemporary interior architecture. The purpose of this study is that defines the concept of transparency and analyzes the characteristics and effects of transparency that is expressed variously in comtemporary interior architecture. The development of science and technology came true a entirely new architecture with material and skills made a foundation of comtemporary interior architecture. We have seen many modern architectural projects succeeded in obtaining one-way and two-way transparency with the modem technical advancement.

This study analyzed the works, introduced in the collections of Yohji Yamamoto in an aim to identify traditional aesthetic and design concepts. As the data to study the concept and expression of the designer, fashion photographs were gathered in a focus on collections since 1990's. The traditional aesthetic expressed in the works of Yohji Yamamoto were characterized by the external aesthetics and the internal aesthetics. The traditional aesthetic of external aesthetics were classified into the plasticity and the wearing, and those of internal aesthetics were divided into the moderation, expertness and aesthetic exclusion. The plasticity was extracted into line, form and color. The wearing was presented artist of purpose through the mutual text. The moderation was based on the moral goodness and the aesthetical beauty. The expertness represented the fitting method and mutual reaction of color. through the natural beauty. The aesthetic exclusion was expressed through simplicity, loftiness, and unbalance.

본 연구는 예술작품의 한 분야로, 활발한 움직임을 보이고 있는 뷰티 일러스트레이션에 수채화 기법을 융합시켜 디자인함으로써 회화적 특징이 나타나는 작품을 제작하는 연구이다. 이는 수채화 기법을 통한 뷰티 일러스트레이션의 다양한 표현방식을 재조명함으로써 창의적인 표현이 반영된 융합디자인 연구라는 점에 그 학술적 의의가 있다. 연구방법은 선행연구와 전문서적으로 진행되며, 이를 토대로 수채화 기법을 크게 번지기 기법, 겹쳐 칠하기 기법으로 나누어 아트메이크업 디자인을 중심으로 뷰티 일러스트레이션을 총 4작품 제작한다. 이러한 결과는 첫째, 수채화 기법이 뷰티 일러스트레이션의 또 다른 표현방식을 제시하는데 있어 무한한 가능성을 모색할 수 있었다. 둘째, 수채화만이 지니고 있는 맑고 담백한 느낌을 통해 독창적인 아트메이크업 디자인을 표현할 수 있었다. 이에 본 연구는 뷰티 일러스트레이션의 제한된 표현방식에서 탈피함으로써 접근성을 높였고 폭넓고 다양한 작품제작을 기대할 수 있도록 하였다. 이로써 뷰티 일러스트레이션이 예술성 전문성을 겸비한 독자적인 영역으로 전문화되기를 바란다.

This study considered movie costumes shown in 'Alice In Wonderland' by Tim Burton based on the Theory of Fantasy in Literature by Tzvetan Todorov and Rosemary Jackson. The research method used was a case study on expression types of fantasy used in movie costumes with a literature research based on the Theory of Fantasy in Literature. The Theory of Fantasy in Literature has significance in suggesting a new theoretical approach for understanding a visual perspective and aesthetic characteristics shown in fashion as well as movie costumes. The conclusions of the study are as follows. First, fantasy can connote characteristics of the marvelous, the uncanny, and the imitative through a consideration of Theory of Fantasy in Literature. Second, the marvelous is what is not beautiful, not ugly, but is strange and surprising, and what escapes from the existing norm. The characteristics of the marvelous in movie costumes are expressed through cross-dressing or displayed by allowing the personified animal to wear clothes. Third, the uncanny is something that causes grotesque, disgusting, comic and recreational responses. The characteristics of the uncanny in movie costumes are expressed through exaggerating and artificially transforming the body. Fourth, the imitative is the property of trying to imitate or follow other things. The characteristics of the imitative in movie costumes are indicated by dismantling and expanding a form through borrowing costumes from various ages.
