  • This study examines the power generation characteristics of a vehicle rooftop photovoltaic module with urban driving conditions. Actual test data with an illuminometer and a thermometer were used to analyze the power generation characteristics of the vehicle rooftop photovoltaic module. In addition, the power generation characteristics were analyzed in terms of urban driving conditions, irradiance, ambient temperature, and photovoltaic module temperature. This study also analyzes the power generation characteristics of the vehicle rooftop photovoltaic module with urban driving conditions through a wavelet transform filtering method. The power generation characteristics of the vehicle rooftop photovoltaic module with urban driving conditions depend on the change in irradiance rather than that in photovoltaic module temperature.

  • In this thesis, output voltage, current and power of solar module were classified by irradiation from data of overall operating characteristics collected for one year in order to manage efficient photovoltaic generation system and deliver maximum power. In addition, from these data, correlations between irradiation of photovoltaic cell and amount of power given by photovoltaic cell was quantitatively examined to deduce optimization of the design and construction of photovoltaic generation system. As I-V characteristics according to a temperature range of 10~50[$^{\circ}C$], the area of I-V characteristics were increased with an increase in temperature. Since this area corresponds to the power, output power is thought to have increased with temperature. As output power characteristics according to a temperature range of 10~50[$^{\circ}C$], output power was increased with an increase in temperature. Since output power increases with temperature increase, the result corresponds well to the related equation on temperature and output power. As I-V characteristics according to a irradiation range of 100~900 [$W/m^2$], voltage and current were increased with an increase in irradiation. The result is thought of as an increase in output power with increasing irradiation. As output power characteristics according to a irradiation range of 100~900 [$W/m^2$], output power was increased with increasing irradiation. This result corresponds well to the related equation on irradiation and output power.

  • Photovoltaic Power Generation system occupies an important position as an alternative energy source, converting directly sunlight into electricity, using a photovoltaic cell. The Purpose of this research is to present and confirm the effectiveness of concentration and tracking of sun in photovoltaic power generation. Comparative experiments were carried outwith two rating 75 watt solar modules in $25^{\circ}$ under condition of various times concentration, tracking and plain normal measuring generated voltages, currents and temperatures of back sheet of modules by internet monitoring system to find out which is best in economic sense. The experiments show that output power of concentration and tracking photovoltaic power generation is over 180% more then that of plain normal system.

  • In this study, we analyze the maximum power generation of photovoltaic(PV) module depending on constituent materials and incidence angle dependence of light. To verify characteristics of constituent materials, we made photovoltaic modules with 4 kinds of solar cells and textured glass according to fabrication method. To find the degree of the maximum power generation dependence on intensity of light, Solar Simulator is applied by changing angle of module and light intensity. Through this experiment, to obtain maximum power generation from limited PV modules, it is needed to fully understand constituent materials, fabrication method and dependence of incident light characteristics.

  • The photovoltaic power generation system has a great future as clean energy instead of fossil fuel which has many environmental problems such as exhausted gas or air pollution. In a utility interactive photovoltaic generation system, a three-phase inverter is used for the connection between the photovoltaic array and the utility. This paper presents a three phase inverter for photovoltaic power system with current controller, voltage controller, PLL control system and the phase detector of interactive voltage by using da transformation. The proposed inverter system provides a sinusoidal ac current for domestic loads and the utility line with unity power factor. The results of the operated from January to October show the system characteristics.

  • This paper describes a design method and characteristics analysis of the 3 kW grid-connected photovoltaic power generation system to establish the basic application technology of photovoltaic systems. The design specification of a 3 kW photovoltaic power generation system including a DC/AC inverter is suggested to investigate the system performance for grid connection. The results of the demonstration test from February to October show that the system with utilization rate up to 17% has reliable operation characteristics and is useful for peak-shaving of utility power.

  • The transition to renewable energy, especially the expansion of photovoltaic (PV) generation, has become a global megatrend that can no longer be reserved. However, since the site for PV is limited, it is necessary to use the land efficiently. As an alternative, the concept of utility scale agricultural PV(UAPV) is a technology that continues farming in the lower part and installs PV in the upper part of farmland to efficiently use the land. Therefore, for UAPV, the growth of crops in the lower part and the optimal operation of PV in the upper part are important. In this, we analyze the characteristics of the upper PV generation system in the UAPV based on the empirical results under various conditions, and propose future research directions of the UAPV.
