In this study, we looked at whether the character strength of foreign students affects the adaptation of university life and tried to figure out whether cultural adaptation stress has mediating effect. To this end, we set up a research model based on prior research, conducted a survey of 263 foreign students belonging to G City and N City, and analyzed the data using the spss statistics program. As a result of the study, the character strength of foreign students was affecting the adaptation of university life, and the cultural adaptation stress of international students partially mediated the relationship between character strength and university life adaptation. Therefore, it is suggested that it is necessary to develop a program that reduces cultural stress and to have a professional counselor in the university who can continuously consult international students.

The purpose of this study was to investigate and suggest directions and assignments of elementary school counseling based on positive psychology. For this purpose, the goal, contents, techniques and effects of counseling based on positive psychology were examined. Based on this review, the suggested implications for directions and assignments of elementary school counseling as follows; In connection with the directions of elementary school counseling, first, it was suggested that problem-focused counseling approaches centered a small number of problem children should be changed to strength based counseling approaches facilitating all children's whole development, happiness and well-being. Second, it was suggested that continuous and systematic counseling helps should be served to all children so that they can aware, experience and use their character strengths in their all lives at the inside and outside of their school. In connection with the assignments of elementary school counseling, first, increasing children's understanding on happiness, developing counseling programs for enhancing happiness and verifying their effects were discussed. Second, developing effective applying plans of positive counseling techniques and verifying their effects were discussed. Finally, making researches on our children's character strengths and interventions for developing their character strengths were discussed.

Objective : The purpose of this study is to develop the one-session positive psychology based strength enhancing workshop and verify effect of this program. This program is composed of lecture based on positive psychology and activities for identifying and utilizing personal character strengths. Methods : Total 81 participants were participated in this study. Positive Resources Test was assessed the change of personal positive resources at pre-, post program and subjective satisfaction for the workshop was measured at the post program. Repeated-t test was performed to identify the effect of this program. Results : Among the positive resources, satisfaction with life, positive affect, gratitude, acceptance, personal growth, efficacy, flow, resilience, hope, spirituality are significantly increased after program. Conclusion : Although this study is a single-session program without control group for comparison, it is meaningful to try a short-term intervention concise the program consisting of more than 8 sessions. This study will be based on the future development a variety of positive interventions.

This study intended to analyze the early childhood education freshmen's academic interest. For this study relationship among academic self-efficacy, character strength and learning motivation. The study subjects were 144 early childhood education freshmen at K-college in Deagu. They answered the survey regarding academic self-efficacy scale, VIA-IS(Values in action inventory of strength) short form scale, school learning motivation scale. The collected data were analyzed by frequency analysis, descriptive statistics, pearson correlation and multiple regression analysis using SPSS 18.0 program. The study finding are as follows. First, the average of academic self-efficacy, character strength and learning motivation of students were near at the intermediate-level. Second, academic self-efficacy, character strength and learning motivation were significantly positive correlated. Third, when examining the relative effect of early childhood education freshmen's academic self-efficacy and character strength on learning motivation, self regulatory efficacy among the sub-factors for academic self-efficacy and courage among the sub-factors for character strengths.

The effects of the various ligands on the oscillator strengths of the hypersensitive transitions of Nd(III) and Ho(III) have been studied in aqueous solution. The ligands used in the study are furoate, anthranilate, and squarate. The covalent character of the metal-ligand bond in the complex is discussed on the basis of the correlation diagram between pKa of the ligands and the oscillator strengths of the complexes previously reported.

The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between career decision-making self-efficacy, character strength, and gratitude as a factor influencing the happy life of adults. Subjects were 89 adults in university and graduate school. SPSS 23.0 and PROCESS Macro were used for data analysis. Significant correlations were found between career decision-making self-efficacy, character strength, gratitude, and happy life. The direct effect of career decision-making self-efficacy, an independent variable, on happy life, a dependent variable, was not significant. Character strength and gratitude, which are mediators, were significant. Therefore, the indirect effect and the total effects showed significant results. Career decision-making self-efficacy does not directly predict a happy life, but if it mediates character strengths and gratitude, it means that a happy life can be predicted.

The purpose of this research is to analyze generation gap of positive effects on character strength for full life of adults in Korea and to verify mediating effect of volunteering from character strength in this roots. To test this effects, there was an investigated differences of perception on character strength, volunteering and full life from 1,405 Koreans. Then had set up the influence model of character strength on full life between generation, and verified the model through structural equation. Therethrough first, there was statistical significant between generations except the variables of trust, full life and meaning of life. Second, full life was positively influenced by character strength in early adulthood. Third, volunteering had fully mediated from character strength to full life in post middle aged adults, but had partially mediated in early adulthood. This will help acquaint us with importance of accompany with volunteering at character strength than character strength directly connects to full life. Based on these results, we are treated on importance of mediating volunteering effects and influences of character strengths on full life in Korean society.

Inertia friction welding, a relatively recent innovation in the art of joining materials, is a forge-welding process that releases kinetic energy stored in the flywheel as frictional heat when two parts are rubbed together under the right conditions. In a comparatively short time, the process has become a reliable method for joining ferrous, and dissimilar metals. The process is based on thrusting one part, attached to a flywheel and rotating at a relatively high speed, against a stationary part. The contacting surfaces, heated to plastic temperatures, are forged together to produce a reliable, high-strength weld. Welds are made with little or no workpiece preparation and without filler metal or fluxes. However, In order to obtain a good weld, the determination of the optimum weld parameters is an important problem. Especially, because the amount of the flywheel mass will be determined according to the initial rotating velocity values at the constant thrust load, the initial rotating velocity is an important factor to affect a weld character of the inertia-welded IN713C-SAE8630, which is used for the wheel-shafts of turbine rotors or turbochargers, exhausting valves, etc. In this paper, the effects of initial rotational velocity on a weld character of inertia-welded IN713C-SAE8630 was studied through considerations of weld parameters determination, micro-structural observations and tensile tests. The results are as the following: 1) As initial rotating velocity was reduced to 267 FPM, cracks and carbide stringers were completely eliminated in the micro-structure of welded zone. 2) As initial rotating velocity was reduced and flywheel mass was increased correspondingly, the maximum welding temperatures were decreased and the plastic working in the weld zone was increased. 3) As initial rotating velocity was progressively decreased and carbides were decreased, the tensile strengths were increased. 4) And also the fracture location moved out of the weld zone and the tensile tests produced, the failures only in the cast superalloy IN713C which do not extend into the weld area. 5) The proper initial rotating velocity could be determined as about 250 thru 350 FPM for the better weld character.

Townhouse takes both private housings' and apartments' strengths as its own and forms a new style of house planning. It is highly convenient in maintenance and complement, also satisfying the residents with its independence and refundability. Currently, metropolitan area in Korea being the ignition of the townhouse planning, the gradual housing site development in metropolitan area is laying a foundation for further developments throughout Korea. Through amendment of legislation and qualitative upgrade of habitat, standard about new residence should be readied for activating of townhouse in korea. Therefore This research examines several residence types to secure diversification of residence type and good quality of residence place, introduce the townhouse that developed fast in internal recently and make a planed option for activating in korea.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the factors of Confucius' resilience and the source of his strength through which he overcame and accepted numerous adversities and took a leap from the perspective of modern positive psychology. This study reexamines Confucius' life as a human being, accepting his mental and physical limitations despite numerous trials, overcoming his misfortune, conveying the morals and values that people must protect, and presenting the positive character of being able to practice the truth among people through today's positive psychology. It was compared with the core concepts presented in. References were made to materials and literature related to Confucius. Through research, Confucius's greatest strengths were proven to be human relationships living together in love and consideration, with Confucius's core ideology, benevolence and loyalty.
