  • I have come to next conclusions in consequence of documentary study about medical books of many generations regarding Medical treatment with Acupuncture Point of Flank pain. The urinary bladder channel of foot-taiyang is most used. Next there are the ren channel, the gall baldder channel of foot-shaoyang, the liver channel of foot-jueyin, the triple-warmer channel of hand-shaoyang, the kidney channel of foot-shaoyin, the stomach channel of foot-yangming, the spleen channel of foot-taiyin, the pericardium channel of hand-jueyin, the lung channel of hand-taiyin, the small intestine channel of hand-taiyang, the large intestine channel of hand-yangming, the heart channel of hand-shaoyin in the order of frequency in used channel among the twelve channels. The liver channel of foot-jueyin is most used. The gall baldder channel of foot-shaoyang, the urinary bladder channel of foot-taiyang, the triple-warmer channel of hand-shaoyang, the spleen channel of foot-taiyin, the stomach channel of foot-yangming, the ren channel, the small intestine channel of hand-taiyang, the kidney channel of foot-shaoyin, the pericardium channel of hand-jueyin, the large intestine channel of hand-yangming, the lung channel of hand-taiyin, the heart channel of hand-shaoyin in the order of frequency in used point among the twelve channels.

Cognitive radio system based on channel list for efficient channel searching (효과적 채널 검색을 위한 채널 목록 기반 무선 인지 시스템)

  • In this paper, we consider a cognitive radio system operating as secondary user. It uses an empty channel that is not currently used by primary users having the license to the channel. In the previous works, secondary user looks for an empty channel by choosing any channel in order or randomly and by sensing the channel to distinguish whether primary users are using. But if primary user is fixed type, we will find an empty channel faster than the mentioned channel selecting methods by using a method considering prior information about cases that primary user used the channel, since it is possible to analogize the channel access possibility of primary user according to regular time and position. Therefore, we propose a channel searching method based on the channel list for the purpose of reducing the channel searching time and improving throughput of secondary users. Firstly, we determine a weighting value of each channel based on the history of channel activities of primary users. This value is added to current channel state buffer and we search an empty channel from channel with smallest value to one with the biggest value. Finally, we compare the performances of the proposed method with those of the sequential channel searching and the random channel searching methods in terms of the average channel searching time and the average number of transmissions of secondary user.

  • The study examined the main effect of the reward channel and reward time of customer loyalty programs for on-offline shopping channels; in addition, it investigated the interaction effect of the reward channels and merchandise as well as the interaction effect of the reward time and merchandise. An online apparel shopping web experiment was conducted with a 2 (reward channel: online channel reward vs. offline channel reward) ${\times}2$ (reward time: immediate vs. delayed) ${\times}2$ (merchandise: online channel product vs. offline channel products) between-subject factorial design. An online shopping channel was considered the core-shopping channel and a department store was considered the cross-shopping channel. Loyalty program value, core-channel loyalty and cross-channel loyalty were measured as dependent variables. A total of 845 shoppers (who had experiences in shopping in both channels) participated in the experiment. The results of the study revealed (1) the main effect of the reward channel on loyalty program value, core-channel loyalty and cross-channel loyalty [online>offline channel rewards], (2) the main effect of reward time on loyalty program value, core-channel loyalty and cross-channel loyalty [immediate>delayed reward], and (3) the interaction effect of the reward channel and merchandise on loyalty program value, core-channel loyalty, and cross-channel loyalty. (4) Finally the study found that loyalty program value affected cross-channel loyalty indirectly through core-channel loyalty. This study suggested diverse theoretical and managerial implications for multi-channel retailers.

  • We have observed the short-channel effect, narrow-channel effect and small-geometry effect in terms of a variation of the threshold voltage. For a short-channel effect the threshold voltage was largely determined by the DIBL effect which stimulates more carrier injection in the channel by reducing the potential barrier between the source and channel. The effect becomes more significant for a shorter-channel device. However, the potential, field and current density distributions in the channel along the transverse direction showed a better uniformity for shorter-channel devices under the same voltage conditions. The uniformity of the current density distribution near the drain on the potential minimum point becomes worse with increasing the drain voltage due to the enhanced DIBL effect. This means that considerations for channel-width effect should be given due to the variation of the channel distributions for short-channel devices. For CCDs which are always operated at a pinch-off state the channel uniformity thus becomes significant since they often use a device structure with a channel length of > 4 ${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ and a very high drain (or diffusion) voltage. A Novel Routing Algorithm Based on Load Balancing for Multi-Channel Wireless Mesh Networks

  • In this paper, we study a novel routing algorithm based on load balancing for multi-channel wireless mesh networks. In order to increase the network capacity and reduce the interference of transmission streams and the communication delay, on the basis of weighted cumulative expected transmission time (WCETT) routing metric this paper proposes an improved routing metric based on load balancing and channel interference (LBI_WCETT), which considers the channel interference, channel diversity, link load and the latency brought by channel switching. Meanwhile, in order to utilize the multi-channel strategy efficiently in wireless mesh networks, a new channel allocation algorithm is proposed. This channel allocation algorithm utilizes the conflict graph model and considers the initial link load estimation and the potential interference of the link to assign a channel for each link in the wireless mesh network. It also utilizes the channel utilization percentage of the virtual link in its interference range as the channel selection standard. Simulation results show that the LBI_WCETT routing metric can help increase the network capacity effectively, reduce the average end to end delay, and improve the network performance.

  • This paper proposes an adaptive channel estimation scheme for OFDM-based IEEE 802.11ad wireless local area network (WLAN). The standard supports two types of information of OFDM packets for estimating the communication channels, which are the channel estimation field (CEF) of preamble and pilot subcarriers. The CEF-based channel estimation provides better BER (bit error rate) performance at slow fading channel state, whereas the pilot-based channel estimation is good at fast fading channel state. Hence, a combined channel estimation method is introduced to improve the performance. The prediction of the channel state to select the proper channel estimation method is required. In this work, an adaptive channel estimation scheme is also proposed to improve the performance of channel estimation (CE). Basing on a channel quality indicator (CQI), the proper channel estimation method corresponding to the channel type is decided.

  • Multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) communication may provide high spectral efficiency through the deployment of a very large number of antenna elements at the base stations. The gains from massive MIMO communication come from the use of multi-user MIMO on the uplink and downlink, but with a large excess of antennas at the base station compared to the number of served users. Initial work on massive MIMO did not fully address several practical issues associated with its deployment. This paper considers the impact of channel aging on the performance of massive MIMO systems. The effects of channel variation are characterized as a function of different system parameters assuming a simple model for the channel time variations at the transmitter. Channel prediction is proposed to overcome channel aging effects. The analytical results on aging show how capacity is lost due to time variation in the channel. Numerical results in a multicell network show that massive MIMO works even with some channel variation and that channel prediction could partially overcome channel aging effects.

Rational Operation through International Case Studies on SO Operating Channel (직접사용채널의 해외사례 검토를 통한 합리적 운영 방안)

  • SO and Satellite Broadcaster can operate SO Operating channel in Korea. However, the Broadcasting act does not specify the direction of what purpose the SO operating channel would be operated for. Accordingly, SO and Satellite Broadcaster do not operate SO operating channel or use it as profit channel when operating. In this respect, the cases of U.S. and Japan have been studied to determine how SO operating channel should be operated to make it desirable. In the U.S., it is being used in various ways such as profit channel, multi-access channel and access channel. In Japan, it is mainly focused on the role as local channel, being coordinated with local governments to form public opinion on local news and issues or to announce local events. In Korea, SO is operating local channel similar to the one in Japan rather than SO operating channel, while Satellite Broadcasting is operating SO operating channel mainly for its profits. As SO operating channel is operated on the basis of the broadcasters' expediency without clear stipulation in Korea, we will need to seek the plan to use it for public interests by discussing more the status and operation of SO operating channel.

Effects of $Cl^-$ Channel Blockers on the Cardiac ATP-sensitive $K^+$ Channel

  • To explore whether $Cl^-$ channel blockers interact with the ATP-sensitive $K^+\;(K_{ATP})$ channel, I have examined the effect of two common $Cl^-$ channel blockers on the $K_{ATP}$ channel activity in isolated rat ventricular myocytes using patch clamp techniques. In inside-out patches, 4,4'-diisothio-cyanatostilbene- 2,2'-disulfonic acid (DIDS) and niflumic acid applied to bath solution inhibited the $K_{ATP}$ channel activity in a concentration-dependent manner with $IC_{50}$ of 0.24 and 927 ${\mu}M,$ respectively. The inhibitory action of DIDS was irreversible whereas that of niflumic acid was reversible. Furthermore, DIDS-induced block was not recovered despite exposure to ATP (1 mM). In cell-attached and inside-out patches, DIDS blocked the pinacidil- or 2,4-dinitrophenol (DNP)-induced $K_{ATP}$ channel openings. In contrast, niflumic acid did not block the pinacidil-induced $K_{ATP}$ channel openings in inside-out patches, but inhibited it in cell-attached patches. DIDS and niflumic acid produced additional block in the presence of ATP and did not affect current-voltage relationship and channel kinetics. All these results indicate that DIDS among $Cl^-$ channel blockers specifically blocks the cardiac $K_{ATP}$ channel.
