  • Thermal properties, flame retardant property, and sound-damping properties of polyurethane (PU) nanocomposite foams prepared with oligomeric 1,2-propanediol isobutyl polyhedral silsesquioxane (POSS) were investigated. It was found that the PU nanocomposite foams showed good sound-damping performances comparing to the PU foams without POSS.

  • 무선 인터넷 기술의 발달과 함께 이동 컴퓨팅 환경에서 수치지도를 신속하게 출력하고, 이동 지역에 대한 수치지도를 무선 인터넷을 이용하여 클라이언트에 신속하고 효과적으로 전달하기 위해서 국립지리정보원에서 제공하는 수치지도의 경량화가 필요하다. 또한 인터넷의 방대한 자료를 지리정보시스템에서 효과적으로 이용할 수 있도록 화면상에 출력된 수치지도의 특정 건물이나 지역에 URL를 저장시키고, URL이 삽입된 수치지도상의 특정지역에서 사용자의 간단한 조작만으로 웹 사이트에 접속할 수 있도록 본 논문에서는 지리정보와 웹 정보의 연동을 위한 시스템을 설계 및 구현한다.

  • 4차 산업 시대가 도래하며 인공지능이 비약적으로 발전함에 따라, 인공지능은 다양한 산업 분야에 도입되어 업무의 효율성을 높이고 인류 발전에 중요한 역할을 하고 있다. 그러나 사회 전반에 걸쳐 인공지능의 역할이 커질수록 인공지능의 오판단, 오작동으로 인한 문제 또한 크게 작용한다. 따라서 인공지능 모델의 판단, 행동에 대한 신뢰성을 확보하기 위해 XAI 기술의 중요성이 크게 대두되었다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 XAI 기술에 대한 동향을 조사, 분석한다.

  • Recently, consumer tastes of various classes at home and abroad prefer comfortable, unadorned, and simple clothing, and the athleisure trend, which can be used freely in daily life as well as exercise, has expanded to overall clothing products. Existing materials used for athleisure are composite knitted fabrics using polyester yarn and PU yarn, which has problems due to a chronic lack of color fastness and contamination by dyes even when PU laminating is applied, making it difficult to apply various colors. There is a quality problem in which deformation of the product occurs due to lack of durability. In this study, CDP yarn(75de/72f) and PU yarn(40de) were selected to commercialize the circular knitting for athleisure using CDP yarn in order to solve the problems that occur in the dyeing and laminating process when using polyester materials. CDP yarns were used to knit into single(CP75-S) and double(CP75-D) knit and single knit were found to be suitable as athleisure fabrics. After pretreatment and treatment under various conditions, the stainability of CDP circular knitting was examined. After pretreatment and dyeing process under various conditions, the property of scouring and dyeability of CP75-S were evaluated.

  • This paper present the performance characteristics of R404A two-stage compression refrigeration system. The operating parameters considered in this study include evaporating and condensing temperature, subcooling and superheating degree, compressor efficiency. The main results were summarized as follows: The COP of two-stage compression refrigeration system using R404A has an effect on the variation of evaporation temperature, condensation temperature, subcooling degree and compressor efficiency, but not an effect on the superheating degree. R404A two-stage compression refrigeration system is unstable because COP of this system is significantly changed when evaporating temperature and compressor efficiency decreased. In particular, when compressor efficiency decreased, COP is significantly decreased. This is inefficient for long-term use.

  • In this paper, the heat transfer coefficient and pump consumption power of indirect refrigeration system using $CO_2$ as a secondary refrigerant were investigated experimentally. First, from the comparison of pump consumption powers of existing brines(EG, PG, EA etc.) and $CO_2$ as secondary refrigerants at the same experimental conditions, PG and $CO_2$ show the highest and lowest power, respectively. Second, the heat transfer coefficient of $CaCl_2$ is the highest, but PG is the lowest among other secondary refrigerants. From the above results, it is confirmed that $CO_2$ as the secondary refrigerant has excellent characteristics when comparing to existing brines. Thus, it is concluded that $CO_2$ is applicable as the secondary refrigerant of indirect refrigeration system.

  • In this paper, the performance characteristics of R404 indirect refrigeration system using R744 as a secondary refrigerant were investigated experimentally to obtain a optimum design data for this system. First, for the constant experimental conditions, the COP of R404A indirect refrigeration system using R744 as secondary refrigerants decreases with respect to the increases in R404A condensation temperature and temperature difference in R744 cooler. And, the COP of indirect refrigeration system using R744 as secondary refrigerants decreases slightly with decreasing the mass flowrate of R744.

Research on Anti-lipogenic Effect and Underlying Mechanism of Laminaria japonica on Experimental Cellular Model of Non-alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease (비알코올성 지방간 세포 모델에서 곤포의 효능과 기전 연구)

  • Objectives : We tried to uncover the anti-lipogenic effect and underlying mechanism of Laminaria japonica on an experimental cellular model of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease. Methods : Ethanol extract of Laminaria japonica (LJ) was prepared. Intracellular lipid content of palmitate-treated HepG2 cells was evaluated with or without LJ treatment. We measured the effects of LJ on liver X receptor ${\alpha}$ ($LXR{\alpha}$) and sterol regulatory element-binding transcription factor-1c (SREBP-1c) expression, transcription level of lipogenic genes, including acetyl-CoA carboxylase (ACC), fatty acid synthase (FAS), stearoyl-CoA desaturase-1 (SCD-1), and nuclear factor erythroid 2-related factor 2 (Nrf2) activation in HepG2 cells. Results : LJ markedly attenuated palmitate-induced intracellular lipid accumulation in HepG2 cells. LJ suppressed $LXR{\alpha}$-dependent SREBP-1c activation, and SREBP-1c mediated induction of ACC, FAS, and SCD-1. Furthermore, LJ activated Nrf2, which plays an important cytoprotective role in non-alcoholic fatty liver disease. Conclusions : Our study suggests that LJ has the potential to alleviate hepatic lipid accumulation, and this effect was mediated by inhibiting the $LXR{\alpha}$-SREBP-1c pathway that leads to hepatic steatosis. In addition, the anti-lipogenic potential may, at least in part, be associated with activation of Nrf2.

  • This paper proposes the CU-based approach for merge candidate list construction for providing reduced complexity and improved parallelism compared to the PU-based one. In the proposed method, a CU can have only one merge candidate list. So, Only one common merge candidate list is used for all PUs in a CU regardless of the PU partition type. The simulation results of proposed method showed that the encoder computational complexity was decreased by 3% to 6% and the decoder computational complexity was negligible change with the penalty of roughly 0.2% - 0.5% coding loss. The proposed method has several advantages: it provides simpler design, reduced complexity, and improved parallelism.
