부유식 진동수주형 파력발전기(BBDB)의 유체 동역학적 성능 실험 연구 (Experimental Study of Hydrodynamic Performance of Backward Bent Duct Buoy (BBDB) Floating Wave Energy Converter)

  • An experimental study on the hydrodynamic performance of a backward bent duct buoy (BBDB) was performed in a 2D wave tank. The BBDB is one of the promising oscillating water column (OWC) types of floating wave energy converters. Two different corner-shaped BBDBs (sharp-corner and round-corner) were used to measure the maximum chamber surface elevations and body motions for various incident wave conditions, and their hydrodynamic characteristics were compared. In order to investigate the effect of the pneumatic pressure inside the chamber, the heave and pitch angle interacted with elevations were compared for both open chamber and partially open chamber BBDBs. From the comparison study, the deviation in the chamber surface elevations between the two shapes of BBDBs was found to be significant near the resonance period, which may be explained by viscous energy loss. It was also found that the pneumatic pressure noticeably affected the chamber surface elevation and body motions.

EPB 쉴드 TBM 챔버 내 혼합방법에 따른 배토상태거동에 대한 연구 (A study on the soil conditioning behaviour according to mixing method in EPB shield TBM chamber)

  • 본논문은 쉴드 TBM 챔버(Chamber) 내 배토처리 효율성 향상을 위한 연구이다. 현재 국내에서는 TBM 공법을 이용한 시공사례가 증가하는 추세이다. TBM 공법 사용의 증가에 따른 디스크 커터(Disc Cutter), 커터 비트(Cutter bit) 및 세그먼트와 같은 TBM 공법의 연구 또한 증가하는 추세를 보인다. 하지만 챔버와 챔버 내 교반 성능에 대한 연구는 미비한 실정이다. 원활한 배토처리와 굴착토의 거동을 개선하기 위하여 챔버 내 효과적인 믹싱 바 배치에 따른 교반 효율 변화에 대한 연구를 수행하였다. 축소모형 실험은 식별의 용이성을 위하여 색이 다른 플라스틱 소재를 사용하여 지반을 조성하였다. 또한 믹싱 바 배치를 상이하게 하여 4가지 Case로 분류하였으며, 입도분포를 단입도와 다입도로 분류하여 총 8가지의 Case로 실험을 진행하였다. 모든 Case의 커터헤드의 회전속도는 5 RPM으로 동일하며, 실험시간 또한 동일한 조건인 1분 30초로 진행하였다. 교반 효율을 확인하기 위하여 각 Case별 상부, 중부(좌 or 우), 하부 위치의 시료를 채취하여 분석하였다. 축소모형실험 결과 실제 사용되는 Case 1과 Case 1-1보다 새로운 배치방법인 Case 4와 Case 4-1의 교반 효율이 증가하는 양상을 보인다. 그에 따라 챔버 내 믹싱 바 배치를 변경하여 교반 효율을 증가시킬 수 있을 것으로 보이며, 교반 효율증가에 따라 공기 절약에 효과적일 것으로 판단된다. 따라서 본 연구는 국내 쉴드 TBM 공법 활용에 있어 큰 지표로써 작용할 것으로 보인다.

  • 본 논문에서는 미세 입자의 크기와 굴절률, 그리고 레이저 파장과 산란광을 얻는 수신단의 각도 등 여러 변수에 대하여 Mie 산란 이론을 적용하여 미세 입자의 산란 특성에 대하여 연구하였고, 이를 바탕으로 미세 입자 검출을 위한 광학계를 구성하고 산란 신호를 획득하여 그 특성을 분석하였다. 그리고 이러한 특성들을 바탕으로 미세 입자 검출기를 위한 입자 검출 챔버를 개발하고 성능을 분석한다.

화상 분석에 의한 디젤기관의 연소과정에 관한 연구 -에탄올-경유 혼합 연료의 사용- (A Study on Combustion Process of Diesel Engine by Image Analysis -the use of ethanol-diesel oil blend fuel-)

  • In this paper, the combustion improvement effects of alcohol-diesel oil blend fuel were investigated in a visualization engine. As a result of experiment, it was found out that the combustion chamber of deep dish type and re-entrant type at the same operation condition. However, when the con-tent of alcohol exceeded 10% of total fuel delivery, the combustion of alcohol-diesel oil blend fuel was worse than that of diesel oil. The maximum blend quantity of ethanol which is not ignited in the re-entrant type combustion chamber was estimated at approximately 40% of total fuel delivery. So, it is necessary to blend appropriate quantity of a volatility fuel such as alcohol in order to improve combustion.

가변용량형 유압 베인펌프의 토출압력맥동 특성 연구 (A Study on the Discharge Pressure Ripple Characteristics of Variable Displacement Vane Pump)

  • The pressure ripple in the delivery port is caused by flow ripple, which is induced by variation of pumping chamber volume. The other reason is the reverse flow from the outlet volume produced by pressure difference between pumping chamber and outlet volume, when the pumping chamber is connected with the outlet volume. In this study, a mathematical model is presented for analyzing discharge pressure ripple, which includes vane detachment, cam ring movement , and fluid inertia effects in V-groove in the side plate. From the analysis and experiment, it was found that V-groove on the side plate, coefficient of spring supporting the cam ring, and average discharge pressure are the main factors of discharge pressure ripple in variable displacement vane pump. The theoretical results, provided in this study, were well agreed with experimental results. The analytical model to estimate the magnitude of pressure ripple in this study is expected to be used f3r the optimal design of the variable displacement vane pump.

Numerical and experimental investigation of non-stationary processes in the supersonic gas ejector

  • The supersonic gas ejector, as gas dynamic appliance, has been applied for a long time because of simplicity and reliability. However, for the prediction of ejector performances with given parameters, that is, working gas pressure and the nozzle shape, it is necessary to raise accuracy of modelling for properties of ejector gas flow. The purpose of the represented work is to compare one-dimensional modelling and numerical results with experimental results. The ejector with a conic nozzle has been designed and tested (Mach number at the nozzle exit section was 3.31, the nozzle throat diameter - 6 mm). Working gas - nitrogen, was brought from system of gas bottles. Diameter of the mixture chamber at the nozzle exit section was limited by condensation temperature of nitrogen and equaled 20 mm. The one-dimensional theory predicted the minimal starting pressure equaled 8.18 bar (absolute) and 0.051 bar in the vacuum chamber. Accordingly the minimal starting pressure was 9.055 bar and 0.057 in the vacuum chamber bar have been fixed in experiment.

  • Indoor noise is very important related to the morale and fighting power of the crew as well as environmental condition for them in a navel vessel. Especially, the crew members working in CIC (combat information center) and sonar equipment room require much more quiet environment condition. One of the most serious noise source in CIC is the cooling fan noise installed in the console of the combat system. Therefore, in this paper, the design of the plenum chamber is studied to reduce the noise of the fan from these consoles by numerical analysis and experiment.

  • The objective of the present study is to develop methodology for the assesment of combustion stability of liquid rocket injectors. To simulate actual combustion occurring inside of a thrust chamber, a full-scale injector has been employed in the study, which burns gaseous oxygen and mixture of methane and propane. The main idea of the experiment is that the mixing mechanism is considered as a dominant factor significantly affecting combustion instability in a full-scale thrust chamber. Single & multi split triplet injectors have been used with an open-end cylindrical combustion chamber. The characteristics revealed by excited dynamic pressures in gaseous combustion show degrees of relative acoustic damping depending on operating conditions. Upon test results, the direct comparison between various types of injectors can be realized for the selection of the best design among prospective injectors.

Pl제어 VAV시스템에 대한 공조공간의 열 응답특성 실험 (Experiments on Thermal Response of Space Conditioned by a Pl-Controlled VAV System)

  • The present study concerns an experiment on the supply-air control in variable air volume (VAV) system with a Pl control logic. A thermal chamber with a Pl control logic is constructed to verify the previously suggested multi-zone model. The stratified thermal model is adopted in the control logic for a thermal chamber cooling test. The effects of taler- mal parameters and control parameters such as supply air temperature and Pl control factor are investigated by implementing the thermal chamber cooling test. The experimental results obtained show that the transient behavior of the air-conditioned space temperature are in good agreement with the simulation results of the stratified thermal model.

  • The result of combustion experiment by using the methanol-gasoline blended fuel showed that the supplying pressure appeared the maximum pressure between equivalent rate 1.1 and 1.2. and the evaporation of the fuel has been known to have been greatly influenced by surrounding temperature and the combustion chamber temperature after being injected from the injector And it is confirmed that the rate of evaporation had been suddenly dropped according to the temperature in the combustion chamber though the injected foe) had been fully evaporated Such tendency has visibly appeared when the zone is leaner. and we recognize that the rich fuel supply is needed in the operation of cold operating.
