LAS($Li_2O.Al_2O_3.SiO_2$)계 소지의 소결특성에 관한 연구 (The Study of Sintering Characteristics in LAS(Li2O.Al2O3.SiO2) System)

  • It has been reported that natural petalite showed a low negative thermal coefficient and wide coefficient and wide coexisting region with liquid phase in Li2O-Al2O3-SiO2 system. Therefore, we investigated variation of microstructure and thermal and mechanical properties when the amount of SiO2 content in petalite compound and MgO addition to it compound were changed. As SiO2 content exceeded 80 wt%, crystal phases of $\beta$-cristobalite and $\beta$-spondumene solid solution were formed. Generally, the densification and bending strength were increased by the addition of MgO, but the positive thermal coefficient was found in the case of MgO 10 wt% addition because of second phase and glassy phase.

  • We investigated the influence of several processes, including the preparation of slurry and preform and the heat-treatment of the preform, on the properties of composites to fabricate the carbon-fiber reinforced glass composites having good mechanical properties. Cerander was determined to be the best binder among Cerander, Rhoplex and Elvacite 2045 by the dipping test and the binder within a preform could be completely eliminatd by burning out the specimen under 10-6 Torr at 400$^{\circ}C$ for more than 1h. The fracture behavior of a composite was largely dependent on the uniformity of carbon-fiber distribution within the composite and the heat-treatment condition of the composite. The higher the glass content, the more difficult to obtain uniform distribution of carbon-fiber. As the hot-pressing temperature increased, the densification process of the composite and the formation of pore due to oxidation of carbon fiber occurred competitively. But, above 1000$^{\circ}C$ the latter played a predominant role. We could fabricated the densest 15 vol.% carbon-fiber-content glass composite having the highest toughness and flexural strength of 250 MPa by hot-pressing under 15 MPa at 900$^{\circ}C$ for 30 min.

서로 다른 니염토가 골풀의 품질에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Dye Bath Soil Type on Quality of Mat Rush (Juncus decipiens Nakai))

  • This study was conducted to select the most suitable dye bath soil of mat rush for good quality. Dry stem weight ranged from 102.5 to 107.0 g, dry stem ratio ranged from 34 to 36%, color of stem ranged from soft gray to heavy gray, degree of softness ranged from high to low and degree of floating ranged from extremely high to low. All the good quality components, such as dry stem weight, dry stem ratio, color of stem, degree of softness and degree of floating showed large variations. Hadong white ceramic soil, the superior dye bath soil of mat rush, showed relatively superior values for all the good quality components with 102.5 g in light dry stem weight, 34% in high dry stem ratio, good color of soft gray in color stem, high in degree of softness and extremely high id degree of floating. The results indicate that dye bath soils shows different adaptabilities to a particular dye bath and Hadong white ceramic soil seems to be the most suitable dye bath soil of mat rush for good quality.

습식법에 의한 Hydroxyapatite 분말제조와 그 분체특성 (Preparation and Characteristics of Hydroxyapatite Power by Wet Method)

  • The hydroxyapatite powders were prepared by the reaction of Ca(CH3COO)2$.$H2O and H3PO4 in aqueous solution. Effect of Ca/P mole ration and pH value on the powder characteristics were investigated. For phosphoric acid was dissociated to PO43- ion above pH 10, the preparation condition of hydroxyapatite by H3PO4 solution had this value. Dried powders were agglomerated each other. The mean agglomerate particle diameter was minimum when the condition was pH 11, Ca/P=1.75 and its specific surface area was 97㎡/g. All powders had poor crystallinity and small CO2. It prevented CaCO3 from using aspirator in preparation and maturing time. In most cases, hydroxyapatite was decomposed into ${\beta}$-TCP at more than 800$^{\circ}C$, into ${\alpha}$-TCP at 1200$^{\circ}C$. However non-decomposed hydroxyapatite was remained in Ca/P=1.85.

  • Reactions between Ag-Pd internal electrode materials and{{{{ { {Bi }_{2 }O }_{3 } }} in multilayer chip varistor were in-vestigated. For more than 1 mol%{{{{ { {Bi }_{2 }O }_{3 } }} in varistor composition internal electrode structure was destroyed due to the reaction between internal electrode and{{{{ { {Bi }_{2 }O }_{3 } }} But for typical varistor compositions (below 1 mol% of{{{{ { {Bi }_{2 }O }_{3 } }} content) microstructural changes around the internal electrode were not observed. However SEM-EDS and TEM-EDS analysis showed the uneven distribution of{{{{ { {Bi }_{2 }O }_{3 } }} in the internal electrode which was due to the migration of{{{{ { {Bi }_{2 }O }_{3 } }} to the electorde during sintering. As a results the nonlinear coefficient of multilayer varistor showed very large distribution as well as the breakdown voltage.

Sublimation and high-temperature stability of SnO2-doped Bi2O3 ionic materials in controlled atmosphere

  • Sublimation of $Bi_2O_3$-based materials is an important degradation issue for the long-term applications of many electronic devices. A series of $SnO_2$-doped $Bi_2O_3$ materials (SBO), was synthesized, densified, and then tested in air or strong reducing atmosphere. The $SnO_2$-doping effects and sublimation kinetics of the SBO materials were studied by X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscope (SEM) and precise mass loss measurement. The results show that formation of $Bi_2Sn_2O_7$ phase greatly retards the mass loss of SBO. The SBO samples show a surface sublimation in an energy of $52.6kJ{\cdot}mol^{-1}$. However, the sublimation is also controlled by surface microstructure as the amount of vaporizing species (the Bi or gaseous Bi-oxides) is more than 0.1 mass%. The evaporation is retarded on the rough surface and the mechanism of surface evaporation is changed to diffusional control.

  • Zirconium acetate solution which was obtained from $ZrOCl_2$.$8H_2O$ was condensed polymerized and drawn to fibers by pulling method. Drawn gel fibers fired at 130$0^{\circ}C$ were short porous and mechanically weak. But addition of CaO about 13m/o caused the fibers to have the cubic structure and relatively dense microstructure. In order to clarify the condition for the synthesis of zirconia fibers viscosity measurement DTA-TG analysis X-ray diffraction infrared spectroscopy, SEM and specific surface area were studied.

Microwave-Assisted Heating of Electrospun SiC Fiber Mats

  • Flexible silicon carbide fibrous mats were fabricated by a combination of electrospinning and a polymer-derived ceramics route. Polycarbosilane was used as a solute with various solvent mixtures, such as toluene and dimethylformamide. The electrospun PCS fibrous mats were cured under a halogen vapor atmosphere and heat treated at $1300^{\circ}C$. The structure, fiber morphology, thermal behavior, and crystallization of the fabricated SiC fibrous mats were analyzed via scanning electron microscopy (SEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD), and thermal imaging. The prepared SiC fibrous mats were composed of randomly distributed fibers approximately $3{\mu}m$ in diameter. The heat radiation of the SiC fiber mats reached $1600^{\circ}C$ under microwave radiation at a frequency of 2.45 GHz.

Combustion Synthesis of $LiMn_2$$O_4$with Citric Acid and the Effect of Post-heat Treatment

  • Combustion process with citrate was used to produce the LiMn$_2$O$_4$powder. Precursors are pre-ignited in open air followed by post-heating in the range from $600^{\circ}C$ to 80$0^{\circ}C$ for 4h. With varying the molar ratio (R) of ethylene glycol (EG) to citric acid (CA) from 0 to 4, the effect of EG content on powder characteristics is evaluated. Vacuum drying promote the auto-ignition at room temperature. With small addition of EG metal ion was selectively segregated with organic substances and undesired lithium evaporation occurred during post-heating. LiMn$_2$O$_4$phase which is produced by combustion reaction was decomposed back to Mn$_3$O$_4$because the reaction temperature was higher than 95$0^{\circ}C$. With increasing EG content, the homogeneity of LiMn$_2$O$_4$powder increased and specific surface area increased. And lithium evaporation during vacuum drying and/or ignition also increased.
