유리-PZT 혼합 후막의 절연 파괴 전압 및 에너지 저장 효율 향상 (Enhancing Breakdown Strength and Energy Storage Efficiency of Glass-Pb(Zr,Ti)O3 Composite Film)

  • To improve ferroelectric properties of PZT, many studies have attempted to fabricate dense PZT films. The AD process has an advantage for forming dense ceramic films at room temperature without any additional heat treatment in low vacuum. Thick films coated by AD have a higher dielectric breakdown strength due to their higher density than those coated using conventional methods. To improve the breakdown strength, glass (SiO2-Al2O3-Y2O3, SAY) is mixed with PZT powder at various volume ratios (PZT-xSAY, x = 0, 5, 10 vol%) and coating films are produced on silicon wafers by AD method. Depending on the ratio of PZT to glass, dielectric breakdown strength and energy storage efficiency characteristics change. Mechanical impact in the AD process makes the SAY glass more viscous and fills the film densely. Compared to pure PZT film, PZT-SAY film shows an 87.5 % increase in breakdown strength and a 35.3 % increase in energy storage efficiency.

  • 중고온용 열전 소재로 우수한 특성을 나타내는 $CoSb_3$계 소재의 열전 소자 제조를 위해 방전플라즈마 소결법을 이용하여 소결 및 Cu-Mo 전극 소재와의 접합을 동시에 실시하였다. $CoSb_3$ 내부로의 Cu 확산을 방지하기 위해 Ti을 중간층으로 삽입하였으며 열팽창계수의 조절을 위해 Cu : Mo = 3 : 7 부피비 조성을 선택하였다. 삽입된 Ti과 $CoSb_3$$TiSb_2$ 이 차상을 형성하면서 접합이 진행되었지만 접합 온도 및 접합 시간의 증가에 따라 TiSb 및 TiCoSb 등의 상의 형성에 의해 접합 계면에서 균열이 발생되어 접합 특성을 악화시키는 것으로 밝혀졌다.

식품분쇄용 세라믹 롤 재료 개발과 기계적 특성평가 (Development of Ceramic Roll Materials for Food Grinding Processing and Evaluation of Mechanical Behavior)

  • In order to prevent the possibility of mixing of metal powder during food grinding processing with the metal roll mill this study was conducted to develope the materials of ceramics roll as a substitute of gray cast iron mill. Since the ceramics is brittle material and can be broken easily by a crack, it was needed to develope engineering ceramics roll materials with high elastic modulus and fracture toughness. Adding 0∼50 wt% Al$_2$O$_3$as densification additives to porcelain body material and forming the ceramics an different condition, mechanical properties were evaluated. The material structure’s densification process was analyzed by SEM and XRD. The evaluation of the mechanical properties of ceramics roll materials were compared and analyzed by non-destructive test using Young’s modulus and destructive test using 3-point bending strength and fracture toughness. The results showed several correlative results. Porcelain body material with 40 wt% Al$_2$O$_3$content heated at 1,200$\^{C}$ for 5h was high bulk density of 2.77, Young’s modulus of 118.4Gpa, 3-point bending strength of 137 MPa and fracture toughness of 2.88 MPa$.$m$\^$$\sfrac{1}{2}$/ . After analyzing the relationship between non-destructive test and destructive test, the coefficient of determination was more than 0.9. Therefore, the evaluation of non-destructive test by ultrasonic was turned out to be feasible in evaluating the mechanical properties of ceramics.

산청고령토와 장수곱돌 슬러지를 사용한 내열소지 개발 (Development of heat resistant body using Sanchung Kaolin and Jangsu gobdol sludge)

  • 점토, 규석, 장석을 사용하여 만든 전통생활도자기는 주 결정상이 mullite와 cristobalite이다. Mullite 결정은 제품의 강도를 좋게 하지만 열팽창계수가 5.3 × 10-6/℃로 비교적 커서 내열 도자기로는 사용할 수 없다. 본 연구에서는 산청토와 장수곱돌 sludge를 사용하여 도자기 내에 mullite 결정 대신 열팽창 계수가 2.6 × 10-6/℃인 cordierite 결정이 생성되게 함으로써 가벼운 내열 도자기를 개발하고자 하였다. 그 결과 산청토 80 wt%, 장수곱돌 sludge 20 wt%를 사용하여 만든 도자기가 내열성이 좋고 강도와 하중연화도 우수하였으며, 부피비중도 1.7 8로 기존의 분청사기보다 가벼웠다.

Microstructural Behavior of Alumina Aggregate Compacts Prepared by Transient Liquid Phase Sintering

  • Although alumina aggregates have been used as refractory aggregates due to the improved mechanical properties of refractories as a result of the low contraction of alumina aggregates, the aggregates have a difficulty in fabrication due to its low sinterability. Two types of alumina aggregates and a fused alumina aggregate containing transient liquid forming additives are prepared to investigate the sintering characteristics of aggregates. $Al_2O_3$rich composition in the $Al_2O_3$-MgO-$SiO_2$(-$TiO_2$) system is chosen for the transient liquid phase sintering and the final recrystallized bonding phase between grains inside the fused alumina aggregates is found to be a needle-like mullite phase. The flexural strength of alumina bars, reaction-bonded using the paste having a composition of $Al_2O_3$-MgO-$SiO_2$-$TiO_2$, is about 78 MPa, which is one half value of that of pure alumina.

인공경량골재의 표피층 구조가 흡수된 물의 방출속도에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Shell Structure of Artificial Lightweight Aggregates on the Emission Rate of Absorbed Water)

  • The artificial aggregates with dense surface layer (shell) was fabricated and the dependence of water emission rate upon the shell structures was studied. The EAF dust containing many flux components and waste white clay with ignition loss of above 48% were used as for liquid phase and gas forming agents during a sintering process respectively. In addition, the shell structure was modified with various processes and the modification effect on water emission rate was analyzed. The pores under $10{\mu}m$ were found in the sintered artificial light aggregates and disappeared by incorporating to a bigger pore during re-sintering. The water emission rate in an initial step depended on a void content of aggregates filled in a bottle rather than a shell structure. But, after 7 days where the water emission of the aggregate with a shell is above 40%, the shell of aggregates suppressed the water emission. The core of aggregates was exposed and most shell was lost when crushed to smaller size so, the ability for suppressing water emission of the crushed aggregates decreased. The activation energy for the water emission was $3.46{\pm}0.25{\times}10^{-1}$J/mol for the most specimens showing that the activation energy is irrelevant to the pore size distribution and shell structure.

Metal-Organic Decomposition법에 의한 강유전성 $YMnO_3$ 박막의 제조 및 특성 (Preparation of Ferroelectric $YMnO_3$ Thin Films by Metal-Organic Decomposition Process and their Characterization)

  • The ferroelectric YMnO3 thin films were prepared by MOD(metal-organic decomposition) method with Y- and Mn-acetylacetonate as starting materials. Thin films were grown on various substrates by spin-coating technique. The crystalline phases of the thin films were identified by X-ray diffractometer as a function of heat-treatment temperature, pH of coating solution and substrate. In addition, the effect of Mn/Y molar ratio(0.8~1.2) on the formation of hexagonal-YMnO3 phase was investigated. In forming highly c-axisoriented hexagonal-YMnO3 single phase, the Pt coated Si substrate was more effective than the bare Si substrate, and the optimum heat-treatment condition was at 82$0^{\circ}C$ for 30 min. Higher Mn/Y molar ratio within 0.8~1.2 and pH of YMnO3 precursor solution within 0.5~2.5 favored formation of ferroelectric hexagonal phase rather than orthorhombic phase. Leakage current density of the hexagonal-YMnO3 thin film formed on Pt(111)/TiO2/SiO2/Si substrate was low enough as 0.4~4.0$\times$10-8(A/$\textrm{cm}^2$) at 5 V and its remanent polarization(Pr), calculated from the P-E hysteresis loop, was 3 nC/$\textrm{cm}^2$.

Anorthite의 합성 및 그 특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Synthesis of Anorthite and its Characteristics.)

  • This study was carried out to research the change of mineral phases and the characteristics(apparent specific gra-vity water absorption firing shrinkage modulus of rupture thermal expansion and specific dielectric constant) of the sintered bodies manufactured by kaolin and limestone. Samples were composed of the same theoretical composition as it of anorthite and fired up to 145$0^{\circ}C$ Investigated the change and micro-structure of the mineral phases by XRD and SEM the characterisdtics of the sintered bodies by TMA Automatic Capacitance Bridge and etc. The results were as follow. 1. Reactions of sintering are occurred between 860-95$0^{\circ}C$ and 1200-138$0^{\circ}C$ and state of bloating is occurred at 1410-145$0^{\circ}C$ 2. For the inclusion of feldspar and its fine particles of materials the temperature of producing and collapsing is decreased. 3. Pseudo-wollastonite and gehlenite are formed about 95$0^{\circ}C$ 4. At 114$0^{\circ}C$ anorthite are begin to forming and increase continuously to 138$0^{\circ}C$. Above 141$0^{\circ}C$ content of anorthite are decreased. 5. The variations of bending strength with sintering temperature reflect similar trend of sintered contraction and in-crease continuously from 120$0^{\circ}C$. At 145$0^{\circ}C$ reached about 680kg/cm2. 6. Specific dielectric constant$($\varepsilon$_s)$ of specimen sintered at 141$0^{\circ}C$ is 7.12 and that value is most favorable.

폐유리를 재활용한 인공경량골재의 발포기구 (Bloating Mechanism of Artificial Lightweight Aggregate for Recycling the Waste Glass)

  • The purpose of this study is to improve recycling rate of the waste glasses by investigating bloating mechanism. In this study, we use waste glass(W/G) and hard clay(H/C) as raw materials. The artificial lightweight aggregates were formed by plastic forming($\phi$=10 mm) and sintered by fast firing method at different temperatures(between 700 and $1250^{\circ}C$). The physical properties of the aggregates such as bulk specific gravity, adsorption and microstructure of surface and cross-section are investigated with the sintering temperature and rate of W/G-H/C contents. As the result of the bulk specific gravity graphs, we can found out the inflection point at content of W/G 60 wt%. From the microstructure images, we considered the artificial lightweight aggregates content of W/ G over 60wt% are distributed numerous micro-pores by organic oxidation without Black Core and the artificial lightweight aggregates of W/G below 60 wt% are distributed macro-pores with Black Core.

저온동시소성용 감광성 은(Ag)페이스트의 광식각 특성 (Photolithographic Properties of Photosensitive Ag Paste for Low Temperature Cofiring)

  • 후막 광식각 기술은 스크린 인쇄 등의 일반적인 후막공정에 노광 및 현상 등의 리소그라피 공정을 접목시킨 새로운 기술이다. 본 연구에서는 후막 광식각 기술을 이용하여 미세라인을 형성할 수 있는 저온동시소성용 Ag 페이스트를 개발하였다. 페이스트를 구성하는 Ag분말과 폴리머, 모노머, 광개시제 등의 양을 조절하여 미세라인을 형성할 수 있는 최적 조성을 연구하였으며. 또한 노광량과 같은 공정변수가 미세라인 형성에 미치는 영향을 연구하였다. 실험결과 폴리머/모노머비, Ag 분말 중량비, 광개시제의 양 등이 미세라인의 해상도에 영향을 미치는 주요 인자임을 확인할 수 있었다. 개발된 감광성 Ag 페이스트를 저온동시소성용 그린 시트에 전면 인쇄한 후 건조, 노광, 현상, 적층, 소성 과정을 통하여, 소성 후 20$\mu\textrm{m}$ 이하의 선폭을 가지는 후막 미세라인을 형성할 수 있었다.
