Lithium Disilicate Glass-ceramic과 상아질 간의 접착성 레진 시멘트의 결합강도에 대한 임시 수복재와 임시 충전재의 영향 (Effect of Provisional Restorative and Filling Materials on Bond Strength of Adhesive Resin Cement between Lithium Disilicate Glass-Ceramic and Dentin)

  • 본 연구는 lithium disilicate glass-ceramic과 상아질 간의 결합력에 대한 임시 수복재와 임시 충전재의 효과를 평가하기 위함이 목적이었다. 60개의 발치된 치아를 자가중합형 레진에 포매한 후 교합1/3 부위를 절단하였고, 무작위로 15개씩 4그룹으로 나누었다. 그런 후 lithium disilicate glass-ceramic을 다음과 같이 그룹으로 나누어 상아질에 접착시켰다: 아무 처리도 하지 않은 그룹(그룹A), ALIKETM (GC America Inc.)를 적용한 그룹(그룹 B), Luxatemp$^{(R)}$ Automix plus (DMG, Germany)를 적용한 그룹(그룹 C), Fermit$^{(R)}$ (Ivoclar Vivadent, Leichtenstein)를 적용한 그룹(그룹 D). 모든 시편들을 24시간 증류수에 담가 보관한 후, 1 mm/min의 crosshead speed로 만능시험기(Zwick 1456 41, Zwick, Germany) 상에서 전단 결합 강도를 측정하였다. 모든 그룹 간에 결합력의 통계학적 유의성은 없었으며, 파절양상은 대부분 시편에서 접착성(adhesive)과 응집성(cohesive)이 복합적으로 보이는 혼합형(mixed type)을 보였다. 본 실험의 제한된 조건 하에서는 임상에서 lithium disilicate glass-ceramic을 상아질에 접착시, 임시 수복재나 임시 충전재의 영향이 그리 크지 않을 것으로 판단되었다.

유리질 중공체 GHM(Glass Hollow Microsphere)을 활용한 자기의 경량화 (Lightweight Porcelain using GHM(Glass Hollow Microsphere))

  • The pore generation technology using GHM (Glass Hollow Microsphere) was studied in order to reduce the weights of porcelain. In this study, we verify the property of modified slurry by adding GHM. The modified slurry was prepared by adding 1.0~2.5 wt%(K1), 1.0~6.0 wt%(K37) of GHM to the slurry for porcelain. The slurry viscosity were stable inside a content range of 1.0~2.5 wt%(K1), 1.0~6.0 wt%(K37). However, the viscosity of modified slurry increased more than 3.0 wt%(K1) and 6.5 wt%(K37). The formed specimen by slip casting was fired at $1229^{\circ}C$, $1254^{\circ}C$. As the amount of GHM content increased, the weight decreased and the addition of 1.0~2.5 wt%(K1), 1.0~6.0 wt%(K37) of GHM resulted in a weight drop of 30%(K1) and 25(K37). However, when the GHM content increased, the strength decreases over 70%. This is caused by the presence of a large volume of surface defects (pores) and defects from the agglomeration of GHM.

곡면 커버 글라스용 금형 코팅을 위한 CVD-SiC 기반 세라믹 복합체의 두께에 따른 특성 연구 (Thickness Dependence of CVD-SiC-Based Composite Ceramic for the Mold of the Curved Cover Glass)

  • The use of a silicon carbide (SiC)-based composite ceramic layer for the mold of a curved cover glass was demonstrated. The stress of SiC/VDR/graphite-based mold structure was evaluated via finite element analysis. The results revealed that the maximum tensile stress primarly occured at the edge region. Moreover, the stress can be reduced by employing a relatively thick SiC coating layer and, therefore, layers of various thicknesses were deposited by means of chemical vapor deposition. During growth of the layer, the orientation of the facets comprising the SiC grain became dominant with additional intense SiC(220) and SiC(004). However, the roughness of the SiC layer increased with increasing thickness of the layer and. Hence, the thickness of the SiC layer needs to be adjusted by values lower than the tolerance band of the curved cover glass mold.

Anorthite 글라스 프릿이 첨가된 감광성 은 페이스트의 전기적 특성 및 부착력 특성 평가 (Effect of Anorthite Glass Frit on the Electrical and Adhesion Properties of Photosensitive Silver Paste)

  • 후막 광식각 기술을 이용하여 형성된 Ag 전극과 LTCC 기판 사이의 접착력을 향상시키기 위하여 무기 바인더로서 anorthite, diopside 및 MLS-62 glass frit을 첨가하여 감광성 Ag paste를 제조하였다. 소성 후의 glass pool effect를 감소시키기 위해 attrition mill을 통하여 미세 glass 분말을 준비하였다. Glass frit은 Ag powder의 5vol%~25vol%의 함량으로 첨가하여 감광성 Ag paste를 제조하였고 패턴 형성 후 $850^{\circ}C$에서 1시간 소결하였다. 전극과 기판 사이의 접착력은 micro-ball shear test 법으로 측정하였으며, Ag 전극 부착력은 glass frit의 함량 증가에 따라 증가하다가 감소하는 경향을 보이는데, 이는 과량의 glass frit 첨가로 인한 전극 내부에 액상 풀의 형성에 기인한 것으로 보여진다. Ag 전극의 면저항은 glass frit의 함량이 증가함에 따라 $0.13m{\Omega}{/\square}$에서 $2.06m{\Omega}{/\square}$까지 증가하는 경향을 나타내었다. 소성 전후의 전극 패턴의-수축율은 $100{\mu}m$의 선폭을 기준으로 glass frit의 첨가랑이 증가할수록 43.3%에서 35.0%로 감소하였으며, 그 결과 최소 선폭 $25{\mu}m$의 미세 전극 패턴의 형성이 가능하였다.

  • We investigated the structure of an ultra-thin insulating board with low thermal conductivity along z-axis, which was based on the idea of void layers created during the glass infiltration process for the zero-shrinkage low-temperature co-fired ceramic (LTCC) technology. An alumina and four glass powders were chosen and prepared as green sheets by the tape casting method. After comparison of the four glass powders, bismuth glass was selected for the experiment. Since there is no notable reactivity between alumina and bismuth glass, alumina was selected as the supporting additive in glass layers. With 2.5 vol% of alumina powder, glass green sheets were prepared and stacked alternately with alumina green sheet to form the 'alumina/glass (including alumina additive)/alumina' structure. The stacked green sheets were sintered into an insulating substrate. Scanning electron microscopy revealed that the additive alumina formed supporting bridges in void layers. The depth and number of the stacking layers were varied to examine the insulating property. The lowest thermal conductivity obtained was 0.23 W/mK with a $500-{\mu}m-thick$ substrate.

Effect of Zirconium Dioxide in BaO-ZnO-B2O3-SiO2 system on Optical Properties of Color Conversion Glasses

  • The effect of zirconium dioxide ($ZrO_2$) on the properties of color conversion glasses was examined in the $BaO-ZnO-B_2O_3-SiO_2$ system. The difference in refractive index between glass and phosphor affect the optical properties of the color conversion glass because of light scattering. Reducing the difference in refractive index is a method to improve the luminous efficacy of color conversion glasses. As a reference, a type of glass that contains 25 mol% of each component was used. To increase the refractive index of the glass samples, the BaO content was increased from 25 to 40 mol%, and $ZrO_2$ was added at levels of 1, 3, and 5 mol%. Color conversion glasses were prepared by sintering a mixture of glass and 5 wt% $YAG:Ce^{3+}$ phosphor. As a result, the refractive index of the glass was found to be dependent on the BaO and $ZrO_2$ contents in the BaO-ZnO-$B_2O_3-SiO_2$ system. As the BaO and $ZrO_2$ contents were increased, the luminous efficacy of the color conversion glass was improved because the refractive index difference between the glass and the $YAG:Ce^{3+}$ phosphor decreased.

Y2O3와 Fe2O3가 포함된 LAS 계 결정화 유리 특성 (The properties of glass ceramic of LAS system with Y2O3 and Fe2O3)

  • 용융 온도를 낮추고 균질화에 영향을 줄 수 있는 yttrium oxide(산화 이트륨)과 iron oxide(산화철)를 사용하여 $LI_2O-Al_2O_3-SiO_2$ 계 결정화 유리를 제조하였다. 조핵제는 Zirconium sulfate(황산지르코늄)을 사용했고, 유리 점도를 낮추기 위해 calcium phosphate(인산칼슘)을 사용해 유리 유동성을 원활하게 하였다. 결정화 유리는 열충격 $750^{\circ}C$ 이상을 만족했고, $800^{\circ}C$ 이상에서 열팽창계수가 급격하게 상승하는 온도를 약 $30^{\circ}C$ 이상 시프트 하였다. 따라서 yttrium oxide와 iron oxide 포함하는 LAS 계 유리는 고온에서 양호한 용융 상태와 우수한 열팽창 저항성을 확인하였고 특수 주방용 재료 분야에 충분히 활용이 가능하리라 판단되었다.

MgO-Al2O3-SiO2-ZrO2계 글라스 세라믹의 제조 및 특성 평가 (Fabrication and Characterization of MgO-Al2O3-SiO2-ZrO2 Based Glass Ceramic)

  • Glass ceramic has a high mechanical strength and low sintering temperature. So, it can be used as a thick film substrate or a high strength insulator. A series of glass ceramic samples based on MgO-$Al_2O_3-SiO_2-ZrO_2$ (MASZ) were prepared by melting at $1,600^{\circ}C$, roll-quenching and heat treatment at various temperatures from $900^{\circ}C$ to $1,400^{\circ}C$. Dependent on the heat treatment temperature used, glass ceramics with different crystal phases were obtained. Their nucleation behavior, microstructure and mechanical properties were investigated with differential thermal analysis (DTA), X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and Vicker's hardness testing machine. With increasing the heat treatment temperature of MASZ samples, their hardness and toughness initially increase and then reach the maximum points at $1,300^{\circ}C$, and begin to decrease at above this temperature, which is likely to be due to the softening of glass ceramics. As the content of $ZrO_2$ in MAS glass ceramics increases from 7.0 wt.% to 13 wt.%, Vicker's hardness and fracture toughness increase from $853Kg/mm^2$ to $878Kg/mm^2$ and $1.6MPa{\cdot}m^{1/2}$ to $2.4MPa{\cdot}m^{1/2}$ respectively, which seems to be related with the nucleation of elongated phases like fiber.

치과용 열가압 글라스 세라믹스의 기계적 성질과 미세구조 (Mechanical Properties and Microstructure of Dental Heat-Pressable Glass-Ceramics)

  • 본 연구에서는 치아 수복에 사용되는 상용 글라스 세라믹들을 디스크 모양으로 열가압 성형하여 ball-on-3-bal에 의한 이축강도와 압입시험에 의한 파괴인성을 측정하였다. 시편들로부터 XRD, SEM, TEM을 이용하여 결정상과 미세구조를 분석하였다. 글라스 세라믹내의 결정들은 균열의 진행에 대하여 효과적인 저지를 하지 못하였으나 높은 결정화도가 기계적 성질의 향상에 기여하는 것으로 판단된다. Lithium disilicate결정의 글라스 세라믹은 상대적으로 결정함량이 낮은 leucite 세라믹에 비하여 유의하게 높은 이축강도와 파괴인성을 나타내어 치과용 글라스 세라믹으로서 높은 신뢰성이 기대된다.

Thermal Expansion and Dielectric Properties of CaO-ZnO-B2O3-SiO2 Glass-Added Al2O3 Composites for LTCC Applications

  • Varying quantities of a high-thermal-expansion glass, 50CaO-20ZnO-$20B_2O_3-10SiO_2$ (CZBS), were added to alumina and sintered at $875^{\circ}C$ for 2 h for low temperature co-firing ceramic (LTCC) applications. As the amount of glass addition increased from 40 wt% to 70 wt%, the apparent density of the sintered product increased from 88.8% to 91.5%, which was also qualitatively confirmed by microstructural observation. When the glass addition was very high, e.g., 70 wt%, an apparent formation of secondary phases such as $CaZn_2AlZnSiAlO_7$, $Ca_2Al(AlSi)O_7$, $Ca_2Al_2SiO_7$, $Ca_2ZnSi_2O_7$ and ZnO, was observed. Both the dielectric constant and the coefficient of thermal expansion increased with the glass addition, which was qualitatively consistent with the analytical models, while the experimental values were lower than the predicted ones due to the presence of pores and secondary phases.
