The purpose of this study is to suggest diagnosis indicators and checklist for urban regeneration projects by Korea Land & Housing Corporation(LH). There are already deprivation indices in the Urban Regeneration Act but not any additional guidelines in the practical aspect. In order to use the diagnosis indicators, the central government should supply more specific checklist to the actors in the regeneration field. The key actor of many stakeholders is LH as an operator and implementer in the regeneration projects. So far, LH has developed housing and cities and there haven't been any obvious changes to realize public benefit in the deteriorated area. From now on, It has to plan, implement, and manage a lot of regeneration projects entirely. Therefore, It is necessary to develope and apply the diagnosis indicators and checklist based on projects. This paper came up with the 6 factors related with LH business field : housing, urban infrastructure, public service, private service, environment, and smart city. For these, 32 diagnosis indicators and 72 checklists were selected that can include both physical and qualitative indicators. These can be used not only for the selection of regeneration projects but also for the process monitoring such as planning and implementation.
Connectivity effects have been central issues in dealing with specificational pseudoclefts. While syntactic approaches motivate their analysis in order to explain connectivity effects in terms of a connected clause, these accounts have numerous problems including a wide range of anti-connectivity effects that constitute crucial counterevidence. On the other hand, semantic accounts of connectivity effects treat BV and BT connectivity by independent interpretive mechanisms providing a more fundamental explanation for connectivity effects. Yet existing semantic accounts have limitations in explaining syntactic properties and syntactic connectivity effects in SPCs, and in accounting for BV anti-connectivity effects in English. Focusing on BV connectivity, this paper explores how the relevant (anti-)connectivity facts can be accounted for by an analysis that provides both an elaborate syntactic analysis of SPCs and a semantic mechanism for bound anaphora. Based on Yoo's (2005) non-deletion based, question-answer pair analysis of SPCs, this paper shows that a functional question analysis of a specificational subject, when combined with a theory of operator scope and a non-configurational condition on bound anaphora, can explain various BV (anti-)connectivity patterns in SPCs and related constructions.
Background: In a safety perspective, efficient knowledge management is important for learning purposes and thus to prevent errors from occurring repeatedly. The relationship between knowledge exchange among employees and safety behavior may be of particular importance in distributed organizational systems where similar high-risk activities take place at several locations. This study develops and tests hypotheses concerning the relationship between knowledge exchange systems usage, knowledge exchange in the organizational system, and safety compliance. Methods: The operational context of the study is petroleum drilling and well operations involving distributed high-risk activities. The hypotheses are tested by use of survey data collected from a large petroleum operator company and eight of its main contractors. Results: The results show that safety compliance is influenced by use of knowledge exchange systems and degree of knowledge exchange in the organizational system, both within and between units. System usage is the most important predictor, and safety compliance seems to be more strongly related to knowledge exchange within units than knowledge exchange between units. Conclusion: Overall, the study shows that knowledge management is central for safety behavior.
This research estimates the necessity of a better governance plan on the purpose of fulfillment energy recovery by building resource recycling system for biomass resources and waste resources that derive from agricultural and mountain village areas. The utilization of new renewable energy technology which uses waste and biomass sources diverse as variety of resources, collecting method, operator etc. and is structurally complicated the formation of policy is also very difficult. There is failure because of the problems which occurs from the policy led by government. Biomass Town Development Project should be made through the central government and the local government integrated support system and should be formed a consultative group in order to process the project mutually with these two department including the experts from the related areas. This consultative group, while government organizations carry out the hub function of strategic knowledge management, should carry out the control tower function to be able to be net working transfer the information with the cooperation of private and government so vitalize the communication area among the related actors. And to be able to increase the participation rate of the local people the consistent and various educations should be given so a smooth business promotion progress will be desired through the change of perception and coactive participation of people.
Building energy simulation has become a useful tool for predicting cooling, heating and air-conditioning loads for facilities. It is important to provide building energy performances feed back to the mechanical and electrical system operator and engineer for energy conservation and maintenance of building. From this research, we set up the typical weather data of location, basic description of building, geometric modelling data and the specification of Installed primary HVAC system for establishing the simulation model about energy consuming that take place in multipurpose building complex. The simulation tool of building energy - EnergyPlus (DOE and BLAST based simulation S/W), it has been used and accomplished calculations and analyses for evaluating the effect of the system types and operating condition of central HVAC plant on the building energy consumption. In this paper, we offer comparison and simultaneous results those involve electricity consumption pattern and amount between actual operation versus EnergyPlus simulation to the object building during summer season.
The objective of this study was to develop a wearable systems that protect users, based on sensors that are easy to use, from accidents caused by harmful gases in the operator's poor working environment or the risk of ultraviolet rays during outdoor activities. By developing smart wappen with Light Emitting Diode (LED) light alarm function including UV sensor and gas sensor and central processing unit, systems that are applied to daily wear and work clothes to explore the possibility of user-centered, harmful environment monitoring products in real time were proposed. Each sensor was applied to sportswear and work clothes and the wappen system consisted of lightweight and thin form as a whole. Wappen to cover the device had one sheet cover on the front and another cover from the inside to form a sandwich like formation. Wappen was made in the same form as regular clothes that doesn't damage the exterior then a removable wappen system was developed using Velcro and snap methods to enable the separation of device or the exchange of batteries. De-adhesion method can occur in two ways, from the outside and from the inside, so the design is selected depending on the application. This study shows the significance of the development of sensor-based smart clothing, in that it presented a universal model for users.
The purpose of this study is to analyze the programs and the roles of Architectural Centers by their types in terms of the main body of organization. In order to figure out the programs and the roles, we examined the possibility to have different roles and varied collaboration ways depending on their main body types : central, municipal, architectural associations, and other private sectors. We also investigated the process of establishment of the Centers, their programs to promote the public and private partnerships focusing on the quality improvement of public architecture, research & investigations, education & publication, and cultural exchange & events. From this study, we could find out the differentiated management strategies and the ways of collaboration in public & private sectors for architectural centers and understand which aspects should be taken into consideration in the establishment of architectural centers. Centers initiated by public sectors generally have been focusing on supporting funds and centers initiated by private sectors relatively have developed the field oriented programs activating collaborative network and public participation.
Several prediction model of penetration rate (PR) of tunnel boring machines (TBMs) have been focused on applying to design stage. In construction stage, however, the expected PR and its trends are changed during tunneling owing to TBM excavation skills and the gap between the investigated and actual geological conditions. Monitoring the PR during tunneling is crucial to rescheduling the excavation plan in real-time. This study proposes a sequential prediction method applicable in the construction stage. Geological and TBM operating data are collected from Gunpo cable tunnel in Korea, and preprocessed through normalization and augmentation. The results show that the sequential prediction for 1 ring unit prediction distance (UPD) is R2≥0.79; whereas, a one-step prediction is R2≤0.30. In modeling algorithm, a gradient boosted regression tree (GBRT) outperformed a least square-based linear regression in sequential prediction method. For practical use, a simple equation between the R2 and UPD is proposed. When UPD increases R2 decreases exponentially; In particular, UPD at R2=0.60 is calculated as 28 rings using the equation. Such a time interval will provide enough time for decision-making. Evidently, the UPD can be adjusted depending on other project and the R2 value targeted by an operator. Therefore, a calculation process for the equation between the R2 and UPD is addressed.
This paper has focusing CheongHaeJin's maritime trading activities between Korea, China and Japan in the 9th century. In operation of CheongHaeJin which Chang BoGo was given a key role, CheongHaeJin creates three nation's wealth in triangular trade among Korea, China and Japan. And also, CheongHaeJin's contribution is considerable to the maritime trade development of Northeast Asia through establishing trading advance base in China and Japan, and organizing Shilla's people in China. Chang BoGo justified the control over small business groups of the west and south sea of Korea and the east and south sea of China by keeping pirates away His trade groups controlled foreign trade of three countries: Shilla, the Dang Dynasty of China and Japan. They connected Persia, India, Southeast Asia, and China. CheongHaeJin's key success factors of the maritime activities are summarized as follows; There is a possibility of searching that successful factor from the people of operator of CheongHaeJin. Based on oceanic adventurous spirit with character and progressive thinking could complete the rally of sea influence and composition of fleets. Secondly, the success factor is the excellent operational ability and leadership which learned in the Dang Dynasty of China. Thirdly, In 9th century, International political context was suitable for CheongHaeJin's construction and operation. Such political circumstances had given to CheongHaeJin remunerative position. Finally, Although central government could not maintain the sea traffic securities, Chang BoGo's ocean trading fleets guaranteed the safe fishing industry of people and security of sea traffic.
