Although the interest in NBR has been increasing due to the recent developments of the aerospace sector, there are few reports on HNBR's aeronautical oil, particularly evaluations of the accelerated life of harsh factors. In this study, the tensile strength was adopted as a performance evaluation factor to evaluate the accelerated life of HNBR used in the aviation field. The accelerated stress factor affecting the performance-aging characteristics was defined as temperature. The acceleration stress factor was determined to be temperature, and the result of measuring the tensile strength change over time. The sample for the acceleration condition was taken out of the oven for a certain period and left at room temperature for 24 hours. The dumbbell type 3 specimens were manufactured according to the standard specified in KS M 6518 and were measured the tensile strength, a factor in accelerated life evaluations. The activation energy was 0.895, and the shape parameter was 1.152 using the Arrhenius model. The characteristic life obtained from the tensile strength of the HNBR specimen immersed in aviation oil at 20℃ was 272,256 hours; the average life was 258,965 hours, and the B10 life was 38,624 hours.
The field emission properties of CNT-emitters coated with Ag-Cu alloy have been investigated. The vertical aligned multi-walled CNTs were synthesized by dc-plasma enhanced chemical vapor deposition (dc-PECVD) and the Ag-Cu alloy was coated by using dc-magnetron sputter. The morphology of alloy-coated and un-coated CNT-emitters was observed by using SEM and their field emission properties were also measured. Annealing the AgCu-coated CNTs at temperature more than ${\sim}700^{\circ}C$, the Ag-Cu alloy was diffused to and aggregated on the top of the CNT as a Q-tip. A significant progress on the field emission was not observed with coating Ag-Cu alloy on the CNTs, but a certain improvement in a resistance against oxygen gas was made confirmation. It seems to be due to inertness of Ag-Cu alloy on the CNTs.

Box-Wilson experimental design method, known as central composite design, is the design of any information-gathering exercises where variation is present. This method was devised to gather as much data as possible in spite of the low design cost. This method was employed to model the effect of mixing factors on several performances of 60 MPa high strength self compacting concrete and to numerically calculate the optimal mix proportion. The nonlinear relations between factors and responses of HSSCC were approximated in the form of second order polynomial equation. In order to characterize five performances like compressive strength, passing ability, segregation resistance, manufacturing cost and density depending on five factors like water-binder ratio, cement content, fine aggregate percentage, fly ash content and superplasticizer content, the experiments were made at the total 52 experimental points composed of 32 factorial points, 10 axial points and 10 center points. The study results showed that Box-Wilson experimental design was really effective in designing the experiments and analyzing the relation between factor and response.
In recent years, partnership has become a central strategy for welfare provision worldwide. Particularly, civil society organisations have obtained considerable attention as the most accountable and democratic partner for public welfare delivery. Yet the mainstreaming of civil society into welfare policies challenges the conventional nature of civil society as an independent sector, and brings into critical question, how the political position of the civil society sector could be redefined in the new era of multi-sectoral partnership. The purpose of this study is to explore the current debates of state-civil society partnership and to propose three theoretical viewpoints (i.e. the mainstream, critical and alternative perspectives) regarding the role of the civil society sector in partnership. In doing so, this article introduces the key literature and scholars in partnership debates and provides analytical frameworks that researchers can use in examining state-civil society partnership cases.

In this research, thermal design data such as heat transfer coefficient on the wall surface required for ventilation system design which is to prevent the temperature rise in the underground utility tunnel that three sides are adjoined with the ground was investigated in numerical analalysis. The numerical model has been devised including the tunnel lining of the underground utility tunnel in order to take account for the heat transfer in the tunnel walls. The air temperature in the tunnel, wall temperature, and the heating value through the wall based on heating value(117~468 kW/km) of the power cable installed in the tunnel and the wind speed in the tunnel(0.5~4.0 m/s) were calculated by CFD simulation. In addition, the wall heat transfer coefficient was computed from the results analysis, and the limit distance used to keep the air temperature in the tunnel stable was examined through the research. The convective heat transfer coefficient at the wall surface shows unstable pattern at the inlet area. However, it converges to a constant value beyond approximately 100 meter. The tunnel wall heat transfer coefficient is $3.1{\sim}9.16W/m^2^{\circ}C$ depending on the wind speed, and following is the dimensionless number:$Nu=1.081Re^{0.4927}({\mu}/{\mu}_w)^{0.14}$. This study has suggested the prediction model of temperature in the tunnel based on the thermal resistance analysis technique, and it is appraised that deviation can be used in the range of 3% estimation.
Background : Primary multidrug-resistant tuberculosis is defined as Mycobacterium tuberculosis isolates that are resistant to at least isoniazid and rifampin in never-been-treated tuberculosis patients, and this malady is caused by the transmission of a resistant strain from one patient, who is infected with a resistant Mycobacterium tuberculosis strain, to another patient. The prevalence of primary multidrug-resistant tuberculosis could be a good indicator of the performance of tuberculosis control programs in recent years. We conducted a case-control study to identify the risk factors for primary multidrug-resistant tuberculosis. Methods : From January 1, 2001 to, June 30, 2003, by conducting prospective laboratory-based surveillance, we identified 29 hospitalized patients with P-MDRTB and these patients constituted a case group in this study. The controls were represented by all the patients with culture-confirmed drug susceptible tuberculosis who were admitted to National Masan Hospital during the same study period. The odds ratios for the patients with primary multidrug-resistant tuberculosis, as compared with those of the patients with drug susceptible tuberculosis, were calculated for each categorical variable with 95% confidence intervals. Results : Multivariate logistic regression showed that the presence of diabetes mellitus (odds ratio 2.68; 95% confidence interval, 1.05-6.86) was independently associated with having primary multidrug-resistant tuberculosis. Conclusion : This study has shown that diabetes mellitus might be one of the risk factors for primary multidrug-resistant tuberculosis.
Photodynamic therapy (PDT) activates intracellular oxygen using a photosensitizer activated by light of a specific wavelength and is a potential means of treating wound infections caused by antibiotic-resistant bacteria. Pseudomonas aeruginosa (P. aeruginosa) is typically non-pathogenic in healthy individuals but can induce severe illnesses like sepsis in the immunocompromised. Antibiotics have been conventionally used to treat P. aeruginosa infections, but increasing antibiotic resistance caused by drug misuse poses a growing challenge to the management of these infections. This study aimed to investigate the ability of PDT using photosensitizers (PhotoMed, Methyl pheophorbide A, or Radachlorin®) and a diode laser to inhibit P. aeruginosa. Suspensions of P. aeruginosa and a photosensitizer were inoculated into Petri dishes and incubated for 30 minutes. Samples were then irradiated with the laser at 3 J/cm2, and after incubation, colony areas were measured. P. aeruginosa killing rates were 79.65% for PhotoMed, 47.36% for Methyl pheophorbide A, and 40.91% for Radachlorin®. This study shows that PDT using a diode laser and a photosensitizer constitutes an effective practical therapeutic approach for inhibiting P. aeruginosa.

The purpose of this study was to identify mungbean (Vigna radiata L.) cultivars with appropriate characteristics for labor saving culture (whole crop feeding and combine harvesting), and to investigate seed quality in the southern South Korea. Cultivar Dahyeon exhibited strong lodging resistance, excellent disease tolerance, and greater pod numbers per plant resulting in higher yield. Cultivar Owool and Keumseong, the two most common mungbean cultivars in Korea, exhibited lower yield than Dahyeon due to weaker disease tolerance or lower pod numbers per plant. Cultivar Samgang demonstrated higher seed starch content, Jangan, Nampyeong, and Keumseong exhibited higher crude protein content, and Sohyeon exhibited higher vitexin and isovitexin contents. However, no statistical differences were found among the cultivars in crude fat content. Unsaturated fatty acid ranged from 51.8 to 57.2%, with saturated fatty acid ranging from 36.2 to 40.3%. We detected five unsaturated fatty acids including linoleic acid (36.1 to 38.6%), linolenic acid (10.3 to 14.7%), and oleic acid (2.7 to 4.6%), and seven saturated fatty acids including palmitic acid (28.7 to 30.9%), stearic acid (2.9 to 4.1%), and arachidic acid (1.5 to 3.7%). There were significant differences between the cultivars in amylogram properties of seeds: the Nampyeong cultivar exhibited a lower gelatinization temperature; Dahyeon was higher in peak viscosity and breakdown; and Sohyeon, Nampyeong, and Dahyeon were lower in setback.
A new standard rose cultivar "Red Charm" was bred from the cross between deep red standard cultivar "First Red" and light red standard cultivar "Cardinal" at the Jeollanamdo Agricultural Research and Extention Services (JARES). The cross was made in 2003 and, "Red Charm" was finally selected in 2008 after investigating characteristics for three times from 2007 to 2008. "Red Charm", a red standard cultivar has good flower shape and velvet flower color. The major characteristics of this cultivar are on average $119.3stems/m^2/year$ in yield, 69.5 cm in length of cut flower, 10.3 cm in flower diameter, 36.9 in petal number, and 9.8 days in vase life. This cultivar can be propagated by both cutting and grafting. The consumer's preference of this cultivar, "Red Charm" is relatively higher than that of control cultivar, "Red Velvet".
A new spary chrysanthemum (Dendranthema grandiflorum) cultivar 'Pinky' was bred from a cross between 'Rima' and 'Yen'. Progenies were investigated from 2004 to 2006 under shading culture in spring and retarding culture in autumn and the promising line was selected based on the performance of year-round production, white rust resistance and vase life. Pinky flowered around 20 October, and year-round production was possible by shading and lighting. Its flower was 3.1 cm in diameter, and had 38.4 petals and 26.8 flowers per stem in autumn. Its petal was narrow (0.4 cm) and pink with green in color at the flower center. Days to flower from short-day start for 'Pinky' was about 47 in spring. 'Pinky' showed a vase life of 20.9 days in autumn. This cultivar was commercially registered in 2007. 'Pinky' would be suitable for culture under the greenhouse and rain shelter condition in Korea.
