Objective: Improvement of symptoms in patients with rheumatoid arthritis using OCNT Methods: The patient was a Korean woman in her 50s who was experiencing foot pain due to rheumatoid arthritis and was experiencing discomfort in her daily life. OCNT was applied to the patient for approximately 6 months. Results: After starting OCNT, the patient's joint pain and chest pain gradually decreased, and after about six months, she no longer felt discomfort due to these symptoms. Conclusion: For rheumatoid arthritis patients suffering from joint pain and chest pain, OCNT can help relieve symptoms.

Mobile network evolution and development of USN technologies introduce new business model based on context awareness. Cellular operators provide friend finding service using cell based location information and telematics service using GPS location information. Recently cellular operators provide yellow page service based cell based location information. In this paper, we develop mobile tour application on WIPI platform based on location information. Mobile tour information services provide the best information based on context awareness using user location information from LBSP (Location Based Service Platform), season, weather conditions, time from Web server, and personal preference information stored in database. Mobile tour information service application is developed on WIPI platform.

Eph receptors and their ephrin ligands have been implicated in a variety of cellular processes such as cellular morphogenesis and motility. Our previous studies demonstrated that Odin, one of the Anks family proteins, functions as a scaffolding protein of the EphA8 signaling pathway leading to modulation of cell migration or axonal outgrowth. Here we show that WDR7 is associated with Odin and that it is possibly implicated in the EphA8 signaling pathway. WD40 repeats present in the COOH-terminal region of WDR7 appear to be crucial for its association with Odin, whereas the binding motif of Odin is located in between ankyrin repeats and PTB domain. Co-immunoprecipitation experiments revealed that association of WDR7 with Odin is enhanced by ephrin ligand treatment, possibly through forming large protein complexes including both EphA8 and ephrin-A5. Consistently, immunofluorescence staining experiments suggested that WDR7 constitute a component of the large protein complexes containing Odin, EphA8 and ephrin-A5. Taken together, our results suggest the WDR7-Odin complexes might be involved in the signaling pathway downstream of the EphA8 receptor.

Standardization of the home-networking technologies and the home network trial has been tried to activate the home network services and develop the new business models. Home network mobile service using a cellular phone provides the control and monitoring the states of the information appliances and HA(home automation) devices through a home network gateway interworking with a home server. For this purpose, the home network mobile application in a cellular phone can automatically change the configuration of the information appliances and HA devices interworking with a home server. In this paper, we propose the home appliance auto-configuration scheme using XML for home network mobile services. The proposed scheme is implemented on WIPI of the domestic mobile platform standardization.

The present study was designed to evaluate effects of the commonly used NSAIDs(acetaminophen, aspirin, and ibuprofen) on human periodontal ligament cells. Human periodontal ligament cells were grown from a cell line provided by Kyungpook National University. Effects of NSAIDs on the proliferation of human periodontal ligament cells were assessed using MTT assays. And then $PGE_2$ concentrations were determined by ELISA and the changes of cellular configuration were found by electron micrograph. The results were as follows; 1. The MTT assay demonstrated that the commonly used NSAIDs(acetaminophen, aspirin, and ibuprofen) had not significant cytotoxic effect on human periodontal ligament cells. 2. NSAIDs inhibited the $PGE_2$ synthesis of human periodontal ligament cells compared with the control group. These inhibitory effects had no significant differences with NSAID type and concentration. 3. Electron micrographs of human periodontal ligament cells treated with NSAIDs showed more narrow and irregular shape.

For the active communication between school and the parents, this paper proposes the educational information delivery system running on the wireless internet using a cellular phone as well as on the existing wired internet using a PC. First, we have performed the survey on what kind of educational information the parents of the students want. The participated parents are 135 parents of the students in elementary, middle, high, and vocational high schools in Seoul. According to the result of this survey and the analysis on the operational mobile and educational sites, the educational information for parents, and the user interface of a cellular phone for the convenient access of mobile information are designed. Also, this mobile educational information system uses SMS for the parents to access the educational information easily.

To obtain realistic composite performance and availability measures, one should consider performance changes that are associated with failure recovery behavior. In this paper we address two modeling approaches, exact composite and approximate, and develop SRN models for these approaches. The former approach is to combine the performance and availability models and yields accurate results but generally faces largeness problem. To avoid the problem, the two level hierarchical model is developed. The upper level model describes the failure and repair behavior of the system and the lower level captures the pure performance aspect of the system, channel allocation and service. It models guard channel and preemptive handoff scheme. As numerical results, blocking and dropping probabilities are given for new call and handoff call, respectively.

도시침수는 사회 기반시설에 파괴적인 영향을 끼치고, 재산 및 인명 피해의 원인이 되므로, 고해상도 고정확도 예측 정보를 활용한 선제적 대응이 중요하다. 하지만, 기후변화로 인한 강수 강도의 증가, 도시의 확장 및 고밀화 등 토지피복 변화, 홍수방어시설의 노후화 등 여러 요인들의 복합적인 영향으로 인해 도시침수의 정확한 재현 및 예측은 여전히 난제로 남아 있다. 천수 방정식(Shallow Water Equations)을 기반으로 하는 물리과정 모형은 신뢰도 높은 예측 결과를 제공할 수 있지만, Courant-Friedrichs-Lewy 조건 등의 제약으로 인해 대규모 도시 지역의 고해상도 실시간 예측에는 적합하지 않은 한계가 있다. 본 연구에서는 상대적으로 간단한 연산 규칙의 중첩을 통해 복잡계 물리 시스템을 모의하는 셀룰러 오토마타(Cellular Automata; CA) 기술에 기반한 도시침수 해석 모형인 CA-Urban을 개발하고, 미국 Oregon 주 북서쪽에 위치한 Portland시의 도심지역에 대해 침수해석의 적용성을 평가한다. 세부적으로는, 기존 셀룰러 오토마타 기반 침수해석알고리즘의 수치 진동(Oscillation) 문제에 대한 원인을 분석하고, 안정성 향상 방법인 셀 간 최대유량 제한, 가중치 적용 기법, 모형의 계산 효율성 향상을 위한 최적 적응 시간 단계 기법(Adaptive time step)의 적용 결과를 소개한다. 또한, 침투 및 증발산 등 물순환 요소 해석 모듈의 개발 성과 및 방향에 대해서 토의한다.

Schwannomas exhibit histopathological variation that leads to diagnostic dilemmas, although less frequent in the oral cavity. We describe a case with unique histopathology and no relevant clinical history that adds to the breadth of literature on the diversity presented by Schwannoma. A 60-year-old female patient presented with a small dome-shaped, asymptomatic swelling on the alveolar ridge 6 years in duration. Histopathologically, it showed rich cellular pathology with a unique arrangement of tumor cells forming irregular rosettes. Each rosette presented with a central core of fibrin-collagenous material and the tumor cells were arranged on the periphery, exhibiting epithelioid change with evidence of mild cellular and nuclear pleomorphism. On immunohistochemical evaluation, the cells were strongly and diffusely positive for S-100 and negative for Ki-67. A diagnosis of benign Schwannoma with a rosette-like arrangement with epithelioid change was made. The case report emphasizes the risk of misdiagnosis and the importance of awareness regarding rare histopathological variants of Schwannoma.
