In this paper, we introduce the contactless power transmission device for transmitting the power with the resonant characteristic of the cavity resonator. When transmitting the power, the contactless power transmission device begins to work in the condition where the transceiver adheres closely. The transceiver is electrically separated because there is no conductive terminal outside and the size of the receiver required for the electric power transmission can be minimized. The cavity resonator comprises slots for the input port and output port in the upper side conductor plate of the cavity and forms the input port and output port using the stripline structure at this upper part. The some of output port is separated from it and the electric power receiver is formed thus the union can be possible. The rest except electric power receiver become the electric power transmitter, which includes the input port of stripline-slot coupling, cavity, and the slot of the output port. If the transmitter and the receiver are combined, they become the form in which the electricity is transferred from the input port to the output port in a cavity resonator. The center frequency of the contactless power transmitter manufactured is 5.782 GHz. and $S_{21}$ is measured as -1.07 dB. It is confirmed that the high electric power transfer rate is approximately 78 %.

The aim of this study was to measure the cusp deflection during composite restoration for MOD cavity in premolar and to examine the influence of cavity dimension, C-factor and restoration method on the cusp deflection. Thirty extracted maxillary premolar were prepared to four different sizes of MOD cavity and divided into six groups. The width and depth of the cavity were as follows. Group 1; $1.5{\;}{\times}{\;}1{\;}mm$, Group 2; $1.5{\;}{\times}{\;}2{\;}mm$, Group 3; $3{\;}{\times}{\;}1{\;}mm$, and Group 4-6; $3{\;}{\times}{\;}2{\;}mm$ respectively. Group 1-4 were restored using bulk filling method with Z-250 composite. However, Group 5 was restored incrementally, and Group 6 was restored with an indirect resin inlay. The cusp deflection was recorded at the buccal and lingual cusp tips using LVDT probe for 10,000 seconds. The measured cusp deflections were compared between groups, and the relationship between the cube of the length of cavity wall/the cube of the thickness of cavity wall ($L^3/T^3$). C-factor and cusp deflection or % flexure ($100{\;}{\times}$ cuspal deflection / cavity width) was analyzed. The cusp deflection of Group 1-4 were $12.1{\;}\mu\textrm{m},{\;}17.2{\;}\mu\textrm{m},{\;}16.2{\;}\mu\textrm{m}{\;}and{\;}26.4{\;}\mu\textrm{m}$ respectively. The C-factor was related to the % flexure rather than the cusp deflection. There was a strong positive correlationship between the $L^3/T^3$ and the cusp deflection. The cusp deflection of Group 5 and 6 were $17.4{\;}\mu\textrm{m}{\;}and{\;}17.9{\;}\mu\textrm{m}$ respectively, which are much lower value than that of Group 4.

In this paper the CSCM type upwind flux difference splitting Navier-Stokes method has been applied to study the ARL-SL19 transoni $c^ersonic compressor cascade flow. First, the general characteristics of baseline cascade flow were analyzed. At freestream Mach n.1.612 and exit/inlet pressure ratio 2.15, the results from current laminar flow were compared well in suction surface with the experiment; however, not well in pressure surface. Second, numerical study of the transoni $c^ersonic compressor cascade flow demonstrated the effectiveness of a passive control by the various size cavities. A cavity under the shock foot point at the suction surface of the blades was used as a passive control. The passive control of shock-boundary layer interaction by a cavity reduced total pressure losses. The effect of cavity length and depth was studied. The total pressure loss was reduced by about 10% and the isentropic efficiency was improved slightly. The effect of cavity depth in current study(d/l = 0.05, 0.02) was not found strong. Further adequate turbulence modeling and TVD schemes would help to capture the shock more accurately and increase the effectiveness of the current shock-boundary layer interaction study using upwind flux difference splitting computational methods.thods.
Copulation process, fertilization and gestation of the viviparous teleost surfperch, Ditrema temmincki were investigated by using photomicroscopy. Samples were collected from the vicinity of Suyoung Bay, Pusan, Korea from May 1992 to August 1993. During the copulation period, the copulatory organs were protruded at the base part of right and left soft ray of the anal fin in mature male. Secondary sexual characteristics index (SSCI) of male participated in copulation was above 3.5. Mature oocytes appeared only in the female containing sperms in the ovarian cavity. Transport of the spermatozoa into the ovarian cavity during copulation belonged to a spermatophore type. After copulation, spermatozoa remained in the ovarian cavity for about one month untill fertilization. Fertilization occured within the follicular cavity. Fertilized eggs were released into the ovarian cavity where they developed during gestation period. Developmental sequence of the female was as following: fertilization-ovulation-hatching-parturition. Right before parturition, the total length (TL) of the embryo was about 63.0 mm. When TL of maternal body was 20.0 cm, the mean numbers of the embryo were 18. The numbers of the embryo were positively related to the maternal body size.
Recently, there is a need to produce a large forged part for the flight, shipping, some energies, and military industries, etc. Therefore, an open die forging technique of cast ingots is required to obtain higher quality of large size forged parts. Cogging process is one of the primary stages in many open die forging processes. In the cogging process prior to some open die forging processes, internal cavities have to be eliminated for defect-free. The present work is concerned with the elimination of the internal cavities in large ingots so as to obtain sound products. In this study, hot compression tests were carried out to obtain the flow stress of cast microstructure at different temperature and strain rates. The FEM analysis is performed to investigate the overlap defect of cast ingots during cogging stage. The measured flow stress data were used to simulate the cogging process of cast ingot using the practical material properties. Also the analysis of cavity closure is performed by using the $DEFORM^{TM}-3D$. The calculated results of cavity closure behavior are compared with the measured results before and after cogging, which are scanned by the X-ray scanner. From this result, the criteria for deformation amounts effect on the cavity closure can be investigated by the comparison between practical experiment and numerical analysis.

A potential-based panel method is presented for the analysis of a partially or supercavitating two-dimensional hydrofoil at a finite submergence beneath a free surface, treating without approximation the effects of the finite Froude number and the hydrostatic pressure. Free surface sources and normal dipoles are distributed on the foil and cavity surfaces, their strength being determined by satisfying the kinematic and dynamic boundary conditions on the foil-cavity boundary. The cavity surface is determined iteratively as a part of the solution. Numerical results show that the wave profile is altered significantly due to the presence of the cavity. The buoyancy effect due to the hydrostatic pressure, which has usually been neglected in most of the cavitating flow analysis, is found playing an important role, especially for the supercavitating hydrofoil; the gravity field increases the cavity size in shallow submergence, but decreases it when deeply submerged, while the lift reduces at all submergence depth.

Objectives: Idiopathic bone cavity (IBC) is an uncommon intra-osseous cavity of unknown etiology. Clinical features of IBC are not well known and treatment modalities of IBC are controversial. The purpose of this study was to investigate the clinical characteristics of 27 IBC patients who underwent surgical exploration. Materials and Methods: A total of 27 consecutive patients who underwent surgery due to a jaw bone cavity from April 2006 to February 2016 were included in this study. Nine male and 18 female patients were enrolled. Patients were examined retrospectively regarding primary site, history of trauma, graft material, radiographic size of the lesion, presence of interdental scalloping, erosion of the inferior border of the mandible, complications, results of bone graft, and recurrence. Results: Female dominance was found. Maxillary lesion was found in one patient, and bilateral posterior mandibular lesions were found in two patients. The other patients showed a single mandibular lesion. The posterior mandible (24 cases) was the most common site of IBC, followed by the anterior mandible (5 cases). Two patients with anterior mandibular lesion reported history of trauma due to car accident, while the others denied any trauma history. Radiographic cystic cavity length over 30 mm was found in 10 patients. Seven patients showed erosion of the mandibular inferior border. The operations performed were surgical exploration, curettage, and bone or collagen graft. One bilateral IBC patient showed recurrence of the lesion during follow-up. Grafted bone was integrated into the native mandibular bone without infection. One patient reported necrosis of the mandibular incisor pulp after operation. Conclusion: Differential diagnosis of IBC is difficult, and IBC is often confused with periapical cyst. Surgical exploration and bone graft are recommended for treating IBC. Endodontic treatment of involved teeth should be evaluated before operation. Bone graft is recommended to reduce the healing period.
Purpose: The goal of this systematic review was to compare the use of cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT) with that of computed tomography (CT) for volumetric evaluations of the tongue and oral cavity. Materials and Methods: A search for articles was conducted in accordance with the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Review and Meta-analyses guidelines. The PubMed, Scopus, ScienceDirect, and SAGE Journals databases were searched for articles published between 2011 and 2021. Articles were screened and assessed for eligibility. Screening involved checking for duplication, reading the title and abstract, and reading the full text. Results: The initial search retrieved 25,780 articles. Application of the eligibility criteria yielded 16 articles for qualitative analysis. Multiple uses of CBCT were identified. In several studies, researchers assessed the volumetric correlation between tongue and oral cavity volumes, as well as other parameters. Post-treatment volumetric evaluations of the oral cavity were also reported, and the reliability of CBCT was assessed. The use of CT resembled that of CBCT. Conclusion: CBCT has been used in the evaluation of tongue and oral cavity volumes to assess correlations between those volumes and with the upper airway. It has also been used for volumetric evaluation after surgical and nonsurgical procedures and to assess the relationships between tongue volume, tooth position, occlusion, and body mass index. Participants with obstructive sleep apnea and malocclusion have been evaluated, and the reliability of CBCT has been assessed. In the included studies, CT was utilized for similar purposes as CBCT, but its reliability was not assessed.
Ultrasonography was used to measure the corpus luteum area for determining the relationships between corpus luteum size and milk progesterone concentration during the estrous cycle in 16 dairy cows. Cows were classified retrospectively into cows that had corpus luteum with(n=P) and without(n=7) cavity. Ultrasound examination and collection of milk samples for progesterone assay were performed with 2 day intervals from Days 0 to 12, and then daily from Day 14 to the day of the next ovulation. The means for corpus luteum area and for milk progesterone concentration during the estrous cycle were not significantly different between cows that had corpus luteum with and without cavity. The correlation coefficients between corpus luteum area and milk progesterone concentration during luteal development (Days 2 to 8) were 0.71(p<0.0001) and 0.74(p<0.0001) for corpus luteum with and without cavity, respectively, during luteal regression(Days -6 to 0 relative to the next ovulation) 0.73(p<0.0001) and 0.76(p<0.0001), respectively. The correlation coefficients combined fur both stages of estrous cycle and both luteal statuses were 0.70(p<0.0001). These results indicate that corpus luteum area is significantly correlated to milk progesterone concentration, and ultrasonographic assessment of the corpus luteum is a reliable method fur estimating peripheral progesterone concentrations during the estrous cycle in cows.
This paper reports an experimental study of direct containment heating (DCH) which would occur if the primary system pressure is still high at the time of vessel breach during a light water reactor core melt accident. The experiments were conducted in 1/30-scale cavity models of Kori unit 1 and 2 and Young Kwang unit 3 and 4 nuclear power plants. One 1/20-scale model of the Kori plant was also used to investigate the scaling effect. The primary variables in the experiments were initial vessel pressure, vessel breach size and cavity geometry. It is observed that higher initial pressure and larger breach size enhance the melt dispersal fraction. Also, the cavity geometry appears to affect the dispersal rate greatly. A simple correlation of melt dispersal fraction is proposed in terms of nondimensional effective period. This correlation shows good agreement with the present experimental data, the KAIST data and the BNL data.
