곡면 벽을 지나는 고아음속 공동 유동에서 발생하는 압력 진동에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Pressure Oscillations in the High-Subsonic Cavity Flows over a Curved Wall)

  • 종래, 직선벽상의 공동에서 발생하는 유동에 대한 많은 연구가 수행되어 왔다. 그러나 실제 공학적 응용에서 빈번하게 접하게 되는 곡선벽상의 공동 유동에 대한 연구는 찾아보기 드물다. 이러한 곡선 벽상에서는 강한 원심력의 효과가 발생하여 공동 유동에 영향을 미치게 되므로, 종래 직선 벽에서 발생하는 공동 유동과는 그 특성이 다를 것으로 예상되나, 이에 대한 구체적인 정보는 알려져 있지 않다. 본 연구에서는 유동의 마하수가 0.4에서 0.8까지의 고아음속 유동조건에서 곡선 벽 위의 공동 유동장을 수치해석적 방법으로 조사하였으며, 공동의 세장비(L/H)는 3.0으로 고정하였으나, 곡면의 곡률반경을 변화시켰다. 그 결과 곡선 벽의 공동에서 발생하는 압력진동이 직선 벽에 비하여 더 크며, 곡면의 곡률반경이 공동내부에서 발생하는 비정상 유동특성에 큰 영향을 미친다는 것을 알았다.

  • The complex, unsteady, self-sustained pressure oscillations induced by supersonic flow past a rectangular cavity is investigated using numerical simulations. The present numerical study is performed using a parallel, multiblock solver for the two-dimensional, compressible Navier­Stokes equations. Open cavities with length-to-depth (L / D) ratio in the range 0.5 - 3.3 are considered. This paper sheds light on the cavity physics, cavity oscillatory mechanism, and the organisation of vortical structures inside the cavity. The vortex shedding phenomenon, the shear layer impingement event at the aft wall and the movement of the acoustic/compression wave within the cavity are well predicted. The vortical structures· and the source of the acoustic disturbances are found to be located near the aft wall of the cavity. With the increase in the cavity length, strong recompression of the flow near the aft wall leading to a sudden jump in the cavity form drag is observed. The estimated cavity tones are in good agreement with the available semi­empirical relation. Multiple peaks are noticed in deep and long cavities. For the present free­stream Mach number 1.71, it is observed that around L/D=2.0, the cavity oscillatory mechanism changes from the transverse to longitudinal oscillatory mode. The effects of this transition on various fluid dynamics and acoustic properties are also discussed.

  • An experimental investigation of two-dimensional steady natural convection cooling in a vertical open top cavity with conducting side walls of finite thickness is presented. The various heat-generating discrete heaters are located on one vertical wall of the cavity. When each heater dissipates different amount of power, the purpose of the work is to obtain the optimal array condition of the heaters. The four cases of non-uniform heating conditions are considered. The temperature fields in the cavity were visualized by the interferometer and local temperatures of the vertical wall were measured by thermocouples. The heaters were arranged in two configurations: flush-mounted on a vertical wall or protruding from the wall about 4.5 mm. The vertical wall was constructed out of copper or epoxy-resin sheet. Experiments have been conducted for air with constant Prandtl number(Pr=0.7), the aspect ratio of 4.6, 7.5, 9.5, power input in the range of 0.9 W ~ 4.2 W. For the enhancement of the cooling effectiveness, the upper and lower of vertical wall would give the better position for the heaters of higher heat flux.

  • Outside wall systems we lost much energy from the dew of thermal bridge and unsuitable adiabatic construction. The air vent wall system can make reduce cooling loads from the outside wall in summer. The basic concept is connected with buoyant force by the difference of density. An external surface of a wall absorbs solar radiation, and transfers it to the air in the cavity. The warmed air gets buoyant force. So the warmed air is released through the top opening and cooler outside air replaces the space in the cavity. So because of the cavity and the openings, the cooling load reduction by natural ventilation is believed to be considerable. The purpose of this study is finding optimal length of air cavity by numerical analyses.

초음파로 형성된 치근단 역충전와동의 정화도 및 와벽형태 (CLEANLINESS AND WALL MOPHOLOGY OF ULTRASONIC ROOT-END RETROGRADE CAVITY)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 초음파를 이용하여 치근단역충전와동을 형성하는 경우 와동 내벽의 정화도 및 형태를 평가하기 위함이다. 발거된 상악 중절치 20개를 대상으로 근관충전 후 치근단 3 mm를 치아 장축에 직각되게 절단 제거한 다음, 저속의 round bur를 이용한 군을 대조군으로 하고 제2 및 제6 의 출력 단계의 초음파를 이용한 군을 실험군으로 하여 치근단 역충전와동을 형성하고 주사전자현미경 하에서 근관 잔사 및 도말층의 분포와 와벽형태를 검사하여 다음과 같은 결과를 얻었다. 제2 및 제6의 출력 단계의 초음파 기구로 형성한 역충전와동에서는 저속 round bur로 형성한 와동에 비해 도말층의 분포는 적은 것으로 나타났고 (p<0.01), 근관 잔사의 량에는 유의한 차이가 나타나지 않았다(p>0.05). 저속 round bur로 형성된 와동은 비교적 평활한 와벽을 보인 반면, 초음파로 형성된 와동에서는 계단식의 층을 보이는 와벽의 양상을 나타내었다.

  • 공동유동은 종래 많은 연구가 수행되었으나 대부분의 연구는 공동 상류의 압력구배가 없는 수평면 상에 위치한 공동 유동에 대한 연구가 수행되어 왔으며, 실제 공학적 응용에서 나타나는 곡면 벽상에 위치한 공동 유동에 대한 연구는 거의 수행되지 않고 있다. 일반적으로 곡면 벽상에 위치한 공동유동에는 원심력이 작용하여 종래의 공동 유동 연구결과와 상이한 유동특성을 가질 것으로 판단되나, 이러한 데이터는 지금까지 보고되지 않았다. 본 연구에서는 곡면 벽상에 설치한 공동 유동을 수치해석법으로 조사하여 곡면의 곡률반경 및 유동의 마하수가 천음속 및 초음속 공동유동의 특성에 미치는 영향을 조사하였다. 그 결과 곡면의 곡률반경이 작아질수록, 유동의 마하수가 증가할수록, 공동내부에서 발생하는 피크압력의 크기는 증가하였으며 공동으로 인한 전압력손실 증가한다는 것을 확인할 수 있다.

  • In the present study a numerical simulation is performed on a natural convection inside a square cavity with a vibrating bottom wall. The heat transfer coeffcients for various amplitudes of the bottom wall vibration were compared to the case without the bottom wall excitation. From the results, it is seen that the local temperature distribution in a cavity becomes more uniform as the amplitude of the bottom wall vibration is increased. Also, it was seen that the heat transfer coefficient increased on the heating wall as the applied amplitude increased.

단순화도니 트랙터-트레일러의 기저 압력저항 감소에 관한 실험적 연구 (An experimental study on the base pressure drag reduction of a simplified tractor-trailer)

  • The effect of base cavities on the drag of a simplified tractor-trailor model for Re=4.1*10$^{5}$ is investigated experimentally. Three different types of base cavities are studied in this work. They are solid-wall, slitted-wall, and slotted-wall cavities. Slotted-wall cavity is found to be most effective for drag reduction. A maximum of 11% reduction in the zero-yaw drag coefficient is achieved with the slotted wall cavity.

Effect of Boundary Condition History on the Symmetry Breaking Bifurcation of Wall-Driven Cavity Flows

  • A symmetry breaking nonlinear fluid flow in a two-dimensional wall-driven square cavity taking symmetric boundary condition after some transients has been investigated numerically. It has been shown that the symmetry breaking critical Reynolds number is dependent on the time history of the boundary condition. The cavity has at least three stable steady state solutions for Re=300-375, and two stable solutions if Re>400. Also, it has also been showed that a particular solution among several possible solutions can be obtained by a controlled boundary condition.

친환경 황토벽체의 차음성능 평가에 관한 연구 (The sound insulation performance of eco-friendly loess brick wall)

  • Korean traditional houses have been developed in harmony with natural environment and comfortable indoor condition by using the natural resources including building layout, space composition and materials. Originally Korea traditional architectures have used wood lintel constructions and loess walls through the many years. Theses loess have many strength such as highly heat capacity, controling of humidity, a deodorant than any other materials. Nowaday it is recommended to use exterior and interior walls in loess wall to meet the eco-friendly materials to improve our residental environmental. Thus this study aims to research the sound insulation performance of traditional loess brick wall varied with thickness, thermal insulation materials and cavity wall. The sound insulation performance of these loess walls are compared with other masonry wall's and sound insulation performance of th walls were tested in anechoic laboratory to measure the sound transmission loss of these walls. The loess brick wall with 75mm thickness of cavity is shown the sound insulation performance with Rw 57 which is nearly same performances of 1B brick wall and cement 8' block wall, The improving effect of insulation materials is shown in the high frequency bandwidth. Especially, there is improving as much as 11 dB using the extruded poly stylene form(75mm) and poly ethylene film(0.7mm).
