Thoracic kyphosis is occasionally used to describe someone with accentuated thoracic curvature, hyperkyphosis is preferred since kyphosis itself refers to the normal sagittal angle of thoracic curvature. The angle of thoracic kyphosis tends to increase with age resulting in hyperkyphosis in some individuals. The persons who suffer from hyperkyphosis are at increased risk for a variety of adverse health outcomes that include musculoskeletal alteration, physical functional limitations, poor quality of life, falls, and even earlier mortality. Hyperkyphosis may develop from vertebral fractures, degenerative disc disease, either muscle weakness, decreased mobility and sensory deficits. The gold-standard orthopaedic technique for assessment of thoracic kyphosis is standing lateral spine radiographs. Other clinical measures are Debrunner kyphometer, inclinometer, flexicurve ruler, arcometer, flexible electrogoniometer and spinal mouse.

The distribution center location and routing problem involves interdependent decisions among facility, transportation, and inventory decisions. The design of distribution system affects the customers' purchase decision by sets the level of customer service to be offered. Thus the lower product availability may cause a loss of demand as falls off the customers' purchase intention, and this is related to the firm's profit reduction. This study considers the product availability of the distribution centers as the measure of the demand level change of the demand points, and represents relation between customer service and demand level with linear demand function. And this study represents the distribution center location and routing to demand point in order to maximize the total profit that considers the products' sales revenue by customer service, the production cost and the distribution system related costs.
As asbestos-containing buildings are getting older, asbestos deconstruction works are increasing. As a result, accident risks such as falls, cuts, electric shocks, and suffocation are increasing. Existing studies are mostly about health management and institutional policy research and there is little research on work risk. So workplace risk assessments that are easily applicable in the field are required to be applied. Sealing is the first process of asbestos deconstruction and is the first step to ensure worker's safety. Job Safety Analysis(JSA) and Checklist were used to identify the risk factors and to calculate the level of the risk. By comparing the two risk assessment tools, it was figured out that the JSA is appropriate for the initial process and change of work procedure while Checklist is appropriate for repetitive work. Because the sealing process is sort and simple, it is unlikely to cause serious injury. But since the risk of falling and cuts are exist, safety education and supervision are necessary to maintain a safe working environment.
Here I report the confirmation of a long-term modulation of a period of $92^{+21}_{-13}$ years with the "time-delay correlation" method on the sunspot data compiled over the last a total of 289 years. This periodicity better specifies the cycle which falls pretty well within Gleissberg cycle, and clearly contrasts with the 55 year grand cycle which Yoshimura (1979) claimed. It is argued that the period-amplitude diagram method. which Yoshimura used, ana lysed peak amplitudes only so that a large number of data were disregarded, and thus was more susceptible to a bias. The planetary tidal force on Sun as for the possible cause to the solar activity was investigated and its possibility was ruled out in view of no period correlation between them.
Purpose: The aims of this study were to assess the presence of core patient safety practices in Korean hospitals and assess the differences in reporting and learning systems of patient safety, infrastructure, and safe practices by hospital characteristics. Methods: The authors developed a questionnaire including 39 items of patient safety staffing, health information system, reporting system, and event-specific prevention practices. The survey was conducted online or e-mail with 407 tertiary, general and specialty hospitals. Results: About 90% of hospitals answered the self-reporting system of patient safety related events is established. More than 90% of hospitals applied incidence monitoring or root cause analysis on healthcare-associated infection, in-facility pressure ulcers and falls, but only 60% did on surgery/procedure related events. More than 50% of the hospitals did not adopted present on admission (POA) indicators. One hundred (80.0%) hospitals had a department of patient safety and/or quality and only 52.8% of hospitals had a patient safety officer (PSO). While 82.4% of hospitals used electronic medical records (EMRs), only 53% of these hospitals adopted clinical decision support function. Infrastructure for patient safety except EMRs was well established in training, high-level and large hospitals. Most hospitals implemented prevention practices of adverse drug events, in-facility pressure ulcers and falls (94.4-100.0%). But prevention practices of surgery/procedure related events had relatively low adoption rate (59.2-92.8%). Majority of prevention practices for patient safety events were also implemented with a relatively modest increase in resources allocated. Conclusion: The hospital-based reporting and learning system, EMRs, and core evidence-based prevention practices were implemented well in high-level and large hospitals. But POA indicator and PSO were not adopted in more than half of surveyed hospitals and implementation of prevention practices for specific event had low. To support and monitor progress in hospital's patient safety effort, national-level safety practices set is needed.
This convergence study was conducted to compare difference of risk behaviors and injury incidence between younger(under 65 years) and elderly(over 65 years). For this analysis we used law data of nation-wide community health survey data during August to October 2010. Data of drink-driving, seat belt use, injury incidence rate, type of injury, cause of injury were used for comparison. Seat belt use(85.16% vs 78.81%) was high but drink-driving(12.99% vs 13.24%) was low in elderly. Injury incidence was high especially in falls(1.07% vs 2.22%). In conclusion, elderly do less risk behaviors, but experienced much more injuries especially falls.
When enemy drones infiltrate large urban areas, various forms of great republics are deployed in large areas to respond. Due to the characteristics of a large number of government-run aircraft, the residual coal, other than the hit bullet, falls into various sizes of debris after its own explosion. The damage rate was analyzed by dividing the debris into anti-aircraft guns and guided weapons by deriving four factors: critical speed, fragmentation mass, initial speed of debris, and object collision speed, which can cause damage to human life as the debris falls to the ground. In the future, the North is expected to infiltrate the capital city of Seoul by operating unmanned aerial vehicles, which are asymmetric forces, and the damage could be minimized by setting up pre-fatal and fire-restricted zones to minimize casualties between responses.
Purpose: The study investigated pain and falls as psychological factors in Total Knee Replacement patients and examined the relationship between these factors. Methods: Ninety-six total knee replacement patients aged 69.31±7.01 (male: 21, female: 75) participated in the study. Post-surgery pain was assessed on a visual analog scale, and fall risk scores were evaluated on fall fear and fall efficacy scales. Other psychological factors assessed included national anxiety and trail anxiety, fear prevention, Beck depression score, and psychological health measures. The data were analyzed using SPSS version 22.0. Results: A statistically significant correlation was found between pain before surgery and FES fall fear score before surgery (p < 0.05). A statistically significant correlation was found between pain after surgery and PWBS fall fear score after surgery (p < 0.05). A statistically significant correlation was found between state anxiety and PWBS, Trail anxiety (p < 0.05). A statistically significant correlation was also found between trail anxiety and BDI, PWBS (p < 0.05). State anxiety and fear avoidance before surgery were found to affect trail anxiety, and pain before surgery and fall fear score before surgery were found to affect FES. In addition, PWBS was found to affect BDI. Conclusion: The study confirms that increased pain in Total Knee Replacement patients can be a risk factor for falls. In addition, fall fears increase fear avoidance and cause psychological deterioration. This suggests that efforts should be made to reduce pain and to manage psychological factors.

Lately CBD methodologies like as CBD96, Catalysis, fusion, and SCIPIO have been introduced. These methodoloties has their own proprietary component reference model. Using proprietary reference model falls interoperability among methodologies. Furthermore it can cause confusion and difficulty for component developers. In this paper, we propose a integrated component meta-model for support consistency and interoperability among component designs. Also, we compare our proposed meta model to existing component reference model by using component's characteristics. We expect that it is easy to add new meta model elements and extends meta-model by using integrated component meta-model.
Background: For proper recovery from craniofacial fracture, it is necessary to establish guidelines based on trends. This study aimed to analyze the patterns and causes of craniofacial fractures. Methods: This retrospective study analyzed patients who underwent surgery for craniofacial fractures between 2010 and 2017 at a single center. Several parameters, including time of injury, region and cause of fracture, alcohol intoxication, time from injury to surgery, hospitalization period, and postoperative complications, were evaluated. Results: This study analyzed 2708 fracture lesions of 2076 patients, among whom males aged 10 to 39 years were the most numerous. The number of patients was significantly higher in the middle of a month. The most common fractures were a nasal bone fracture. The most common causes of fracture were ground accidents and personal assault, which tended to frequently cause more nasal bone fracture than other fractures. Traffic accidents and high falls tended to cause zygomatic arch and maxillary wall fractures more frequently. Postoperative complications-observed in 126 patients-had a significant relationship with the end of a month, mandible or panfacial fracture, and traffic accidents. Conclusions: The present findings on long-term craniofacial fracture trends should be considered by clinicians dealing with fractures and could be useful for policy decisions.
