전차선로에서 보호선 설치 위치변경에 따른 효과 검토 (The Effectiveness due to fixed position change of fault protective wire on catenary system)

  • Protective equipments have a very important protection role in power accident on catenary line. These equipments are installed on electrical pole. The poles have complicated with many bands(moveable bracket, branch wire anchor, shield wire, etc). So we have improved bands and installed bands on pole to test technical condition. The Result has showed effectiveness due to fixed position change of fault protective wire and to improve band shape. For example, reduction of band made cost, simplification of installing, correct position of protective wire and shield wire.

  • In this paper, we introduce the on-line test of the current collection characteristics for HSR 350x(Korea High Speed Train project) that have been performed in the Kyoung-bu high-speed line since 2002. Through the analysis of measured data during on-line test, the variation trends of contact force between pantograph and catenary according to the track conditions and driving patterns are reviewed. This study shows that the track conditions do not affect on the dynamic performance between pantograph and the driving patterns are important factors in determining the good interaction of them.

  • For the improvement of a train speed in the conventional line from overhead system point of view, it is necessary to approach not only in the aspect of the increasement of tension for catenary but the application of a pre-sag. A certain tension acting on a dropper is removed when it is slack by the pantograph passing. Right after the pantograph passes, the dynamic force caused by the mass of contact wire acts on the dropper. If the pre-sag is applied to the catenary, the static force on the dropper is increased. For the assurance of the safety for the dropper, it is necessary to predict the dynamic force. The purpose of this study is to predict and analyze the force on the dropper according to the applied pre-sag.

주행 중 발생하는 고속전철 집전계 신호의 특성 (Characteristics of Current Collection Signals during Test Run of High-speed Train)

  • The dynamic characteristics of the current collection process of the high-speed railway are investigated through signals acquired during a test run. The signals are obtained from accelerometers, load cells, and strain gauges attached to various positions of the pantograph, and they are processed in time-and frequency-domains to obtain the dynamic characteristics. The main natural frequency of the pantograph is found to be 8.5Hz. There also are components at low frequencies varying linearly with the train speed. The contact frequency components above 20Hz is attenuated as they pass through the secondary suspension. The main frequency component of the load cell signal is found to be related with the rolling motion of the panhead generated by the stagger in the catenary.

  • This paper presents the optimal design of a high-speed (200[km/h]) Linear Synchronous Motor which will be used as a propulsion system of a dynamic tester for catenary-current collection used in railways. Motor performance, especially detent force minimization on various design schemes has been investigated in detail by using FEM (Finite Element Method). Simulation-based DOE (Design of Experiments) method is also applied in order to reduce the large number of analysis according to each design variable and consider the effect among variables. The optimal design in all aspects is proposed by an optimization algorithm using a regression equation derived from the simulation-based DOE and the performance is verified by FEM.

  • The research sees the catenary dropper clamp using a test equipment which is using actual sample in the field. This test helps the quality improvement of material. For raising the reliability of data, classified it by type and tests especially in the multiple sample but it was under testing in the sample of decimal at circumstance. From the accuracy side of research data it was insufficient because the dropper clamp was in small quantity but it contributes in quality of material improvement. The quality of material data which it gets with spectroscopic was not accurate so hereafter it needs to follow wet analysis and precise analysis to join in the test which is detailed comes to accomplish with the data accuracy.

Sensitivity Study on SCR Design for Spread-Moored FPSO in West Africa

  • It is generally acknowledged that the Steel Catenary Riser (SCR) is the most cost-effective riser type for deep-water offshore fields among various risers, including the SCR, flexible riser, and hybrid riser. However, in West Africa, the SCR type may not be suitable for FPSO systems because the large vertical motion of the floater brings about a considerable riser dynamic response. In this paper, an SCR system is designed for the FPSO in the West African field, where the use of a hybrid riser has been preferred. The proposed SCR configuration fulfills the design criteria of the API, such as the strength check and fatigue life. Moreover, a sensitivity analysis is also carried out to improve the certainty in the SCR design of a deep-water FPSO. The parameters affecting the strength and fatigue performance of the SCR are considered.

  • This paper presents development of the program which calculates the electric quantities such as current, voltage at each element of railway electrification system in static state. The purpose of this program is to estimate the adequacy of railway electrification system through simulations. And it contributes the estimations for optimal railway electrification system by calculating the maximum current and voltage. The simulation program is coded through GUI(Graphic User Interface) technique for user to operate easily.

  • This paper suggested that the technical specification of tilting train EMU for speed up on existing lines. High speed strategy of existing lines are the modification of railway system which are made on cant, lengths of transition curves, the catenary system and train system. Tilting technology is more useful a strategy for speed increases on existing lines with low investment needed. We performed a feasibility study which is considered out real track conditions and designed propulsion and braking system of tilting EMU system.
