구매심리과정(AIDMA)모델을 적용한 식음공간의 실내디자인요소 분석 (Analysis of Interior Design Elements in Food and Beverage Applying the Psychological Process of Purchasing(AIDMA) Model)

  • The purpose of this study is to provide fundamental data that can improve added value of commercial space strategically using the identification of relationship between the process of consumers' purchasing psychology (AIDMA : Attention, Interest, Desire, Memory, Action) and elements of interior design. For this purpose, case study and survey were carried out on food and beverage spaces, where they were doing business for more than two years, were selected from the ones appeared in the interior journal "A." Based on the study, basic details including a ground plan, design summary and representative image were identified through preliminary research, and a researcher visited the target spaces and carried out a research and analysis on interior design elements. Three spaces among targets of the case study were selected to identify the relation between design elements and AIDMA items which consumers feel, and the survey was conducted on the customers of the selected food and beverage spaces. Results of the case study on the 18 food and beverage spaces showed that features of the each of AIDMA items in material and color elements were most well expressed. As a result of survey conducted on visitors of each food and beverage space, features of each item were expressed in overall design elements. In particular, space elements and color elements in "Space 1," space elements and lighting elements in "Space 2" and space elements, furniture & objet elements in "Space 3" were most well expressed in each space. There were slight differences depending on individual characteristics such as design concept, location and business operation of target food and beverage spaces but attributes of AIDMA items were remarkably recognized in common in the space elements.

  • 본 논문은 최근 디자인계에 대두되고 있는 사용자 중심의 디자인을 위한 노력의 일환으로서 문화인류학의 대표적인 리서치 방법인 애쓰노그래피를 디자인 리서치에 어떻게 적용할 수 있는지에 대한 고찰과 그 구체적인 적용사례를 제시하는 논문이다. 논문은 크게 두 부분으로 구분된다. 먼저, 문헌 고찰을 통한 애쓰노그래피의 기본개념을 소개하고 제품 디자인 영역에서의 "문화"의 개념을 정의내림으로써 디자인 리서치의 내용적 프레임?을 설정하는데 필요한 지식 기반을 구축한다. 둘째로는 감성적 미래형 전자레인지 개발을 목적으로 진행한 프로젝트를 중심으로, 애쓰노그래피가 디자인 리서치에 적용된 구체적인 예를 보여준다. 이 과정은 먼저 애쓰노그래피 리서치를 실행하는 프로세스를 소개하고, 리서치를 통해 얻은 데이터를 분석결과, 그리고 이 결과의 종합을 통한 디자인 암시의 도출을 통해 애쓰노그래피 리서치의 효용성을 논의하는 것으로 구성되어 있다. 이는 구체적인 사례를 통해 향후 디자인 리서치에 애쓰노그래피의 개념을 어떻게 적용할 것인지에 대한 아이디어를 제시하고, 그 활성화를 꾀할 목적으로 진행되었다.적으로 진행되었다.

디자인 교과과정에서의 데이터 문해력 교육에 관한 연구 -디자인-데이터 융합 교과 개발 사례를 중심으로 (Data Literacy Education in Design Curriculum of Higher Education Focused on Development of Design-Data Convergence Curriculum)

  • 본 연구는 향후 디자이너의 업무 역량에 매우 중대한 역할을 하게 될 데이터 문해력 확보를 위하여 디자인 대학 교과과정에서의 데이터 문해력 관련 교육목표와 교과 구성, 교육 내용을 연구하였다. 연구의 방법은 먼저 비전공자를 위한 데이터 문해력 교육의 사례들과 디자인 실무 현장의 데이터 기술 활용 현황을 살펴보았고, 현장 직무 중심 디자인 역량에 대한 선행 연구와 디자인 프로세스 모델을 바탕으로 디자인 분야에서 요구되는 데이터 관련 전공 능력을 도출하였다. 그리고 NCS에 기반한 빅데이터 기획과 분석 분야의 교육 내용을 조사하여, 디자인 전공 능력에 필요한 데이터 기술 관련 교과 내용을 연계하여 디자이너를 위한 데이터 문해력 교육 모듈을 3단계의 디자인-데이터 융합 교과 모델로 구성하였다. 개발된 융합 교과 모델을 바탕으로 필요한 단위 교과목과 강의 계획, 과목 간 연계 구조를 개발하였으며, 초, 중급 수준의 디자인-데이터 융합 교과목을 운영한 사례 연구를 통하여 교육모델의 교육 내용과 교육 성과를 검증하였다. 그리고 교과 운영 사례 연구의 발견 점들을 바탕으로 디자이너를 위한 데이터 문해력 교육의 구체적 실천 방안을 제시하고, 사례 연구의 한계를 명시하였다.

가로공간에 있어서 아이덴티티 요소와 평가에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Evaluation and Identity Elements in the Street Spaces)

  • The purpose of this study is to propose the design elements useful to give place identity to street space. The theory for place identity is studied and the components-Physical element, Sense, Program, Activity, Context-for identity of place is created. In the case study of SamcheongdongGil, the qualitative research method of Free Picturing Technique and Cognitive Mapping is executed and the samples gathered from the research are analyzed. In the process of analysis, the contents of qualitative evaluation by users is put in order as components for identity of place. Moreover, the design elements for street space are extracted from the case study and theories of urban design. The design elements are summarized as the followings: street pattern with high permeability, various streetscapes, greenscapes, semi public(private) spaces, the third places, public arts, transparent facades, and outdoor activities. Finally, the fruits and boundary of this study are described and the importance of place identity is.

서울지역 아파트의 규모별 실내디자인 리모델링에 대한 심층 사례 연구 (A Case Study on the Interior Design Remodeling of Apartment according to the Floors Space in Seoul)

  • The purpose of this study is providing useful information for consumer-friendly house plan by investigating remodeling apartments according to the area type and size. In order to achieve this aim, case study was applied. The case study was conducted of five small, medium, and large size apartments through depth-interviews, actual survey, and questionnaires on the remodeling behavior, interior design, and interior atmosphere. The results of the study are as follows: Structural alterations were frequent in communal area, and then in private and household areas. Changing lighting fixtures was frequent in all area types, and especially, in communal areas installing extra decoration was frequently observed. Besides, alterations of doors and window frames were carried out in communal, private, housework and service areas by using wood, aluminum sashes, double-glazing, and paint coating. Finally, in housework areas the material and color of counters were changed into wooden and achromatic.

프로판과 부탄 분리를 위한 고효율 분리벽형 증류탑 설계 (Design of High-Efficient Divided Wall Distillation Columns for Propane and Butane Separation)

  • LPG is increasingly being used as a clean energy source due to the continuous strengthening of environmental regulations. In addition, the demand of propane which is the basic compound for petrochemicals is increasing for propylene production. In the study, a divided wall column was used as de-propanizer and de-butanizer, which is expected to save large amount of energy among the four conventional distillation columns used for processing LPG. The simulation results showed a decrease of energy duty with ESI by 30.30% using two divided wall columns. Furthermore, simulation case studies were carried out with respect to design and operation condition. The main column tray and withdrawal tray were determined from the design case studies while the internal liquid flow and vapor flow were decided from the operating case studies. Also, ESI of 1.06% could be achieved from the case studies. According to the results, the simulation method used showed that it is greatly helpful to the design and evaluate a highly efficient divided wall column.

  • Most of enterprises depend on a data modeler during developing their management information systems. In formulating business requirements for information systems, they widely and naturally use the interview method between a data modeler and a field worker. But, the discrepancy between both parties would certainly cause information loss and distortion that lead to let the systems not faithful to real business works. To improve or avoid modeler-dependant data modeling process, many automated data design CASE tools have been introduced. However, since most of traditional CASE tools just support drawing works for conceptual data design, a data modeler could not generate an ERD faithful to real business works and a user could not use them without any knowledge on database. Although some CASE tools supported conceptual data design, they still required too much preliminary database knowledge for a user. Against these traditional CASE tools, we proposed a Requirement-Oriented Entity Relationship Model for automated data design tool, called ROERM. Based on Non-Stop Methodology, ROERM adopts inner systematic modules for complete and sound ERD that is faithful to real field works, where modules are composed of interaction modules with a user, rules of schema operations and sentence translations. In addition to structure design of ROERM, we also devise detailed algorithms and perform an experiment for a case study.

  • In Cis study, the problems of the correspondence of the museum to universal design have been grasped and examined. As the result, four problems have clarified as follow: (1) At the present, many barriers exist for the visually handicapped in the museum. In this case, the correspondence to universal design should be strengthened in the future by using Braille and sound to illustrate the display and guide. (2) The universal design of "the transfer of information" has been considerably retarded from the universal design of "the movements of observer" in the correspondence. The communication and information services in the museum are very important, and the correspondence is urgent. (3) It is necessary that the expert committee need to be installed to grasps and solves the barrier in the museum. (4) In order to execute the universal design in the museum, it is necessary that the consciousness of the museum's staff to universal design should be improved. should be improved.

A Case Study of Personal and Creative Fashion Design Development: Swirls in Motion - a Goddess and Seashells -

  • This case study is to embody the birth of a beautiful goddess out of seashells in a contemporary fashion design collection, on the basis of the mythology of The Birth of Venus. The main theme attempts to reinterpret the image of the goddess of love and beauty and express the organic vitality of seashells and oceanic feelings by swirls in motion. To accomplish this, three dimensional silhouette of layered forms of voluminous outer and fitted inner is applied to design ideas with spiral curves. The opposite texture of something sculptural and transparent versus smooth and shiny is used to express the layered structure of seashells with the delicacy of goddess. Neutral colours and different tones of pink appeal to oceanic feelings and feminine emotion in a modern way. Various techniques by the geometric simplicity of flat patterns and pleating with boning are also performed to express the vital movement of organism. Throughout the whole process of this case study, the conceptual idea of Swirls in Motion - a goddess and seashells is reinterpreted to a contemporary fashion by personal and creative design development process. In particular, it is evaluated by the process of primary researches, various design developments and experimentations to the main theme.
