Objectives The purpose of this study is to investigate commonly-used-pattern-identifications and to understand herbal medicine treatment for psoriasis based on recent clinical studies. Methods Keyword 'psoriasis' was used to search articles in National Digital Science Library (NDSL), Korean Traditional Knowledge Portal (KTKP), Oriental Medicine Advanced Searching Integrated System (OASIS) and Research Information Sharing Service (RISS). 19 relevant articles were reported between 2006 - 2016, and were obtained and reviewed. Results Among the 19 articles, the most commonly-used-pattern-identifications were 'blood heat pattern'. 'Gunsun-bang', 'Bangpungtongsungsan-gami'. Also, based on the search results, 'Yangdokbaekho-tang' were more frequently prescribed than other herbal medicines, and ingredients such as, Glycyrrhizae Radix (甘草), Saposhnikoviae Radix (防風) and Rehmanniae Radix (生地黃) were used repeatedly in those prescriptions. Conclusions This study showed what pattern identifications there are, and what herbal medicines are often used in clinical treatments. Developing new form of herbal medicines are also going to be possible with further research.

Infantile myofibromatosis is a rare and benign myofibroblastic tumor that may occur in either solitary or multicentric form in the soft tissue of infants. A 13-month-old girl presented with a painless firm mass, measuring $2.5{\times}2.5cm$ in the right temporal area. Skull X-ray and CT scan revealed a well enhancing soft tissue tumor with a round skull defect and sclerotic margin. The tumor was totally excised with curettage of the skull defect followed by cranioplasty. Pathology was confirmed to be a solitary infantile myofibromatosis. We report this rare solitary infantile myofibromatosis of the temporal bone with review of the pertinent literature.

This article provides a discussion of the mathematic modeling of connections for designing and qualifying structures, systems, and components subject to monotonic or cyclic loading. To characterize the force-deformation behavior of connections under monotonic loading, a review of the Ramberg-Osgood, Richard-Abbott, and Menegotto-Pinto models is conducted, and it is shown that these nonlinear functions can be mathematically derived by scaling up or down a linear force-deformation function. A generalized four-parameter model for simulating connection behavior is investigated to facilitate nonlinear regression analysis. In order to perform seismic analysis of frameworks, a hysteretic model accounting for loading, unloading, and reloading is described using the established monotonic model. For preliminary analysis, a method is provided to quickly determine the model parameters that fit approximately with the observed data. To reach more accurate values of the parameters, the methods of nonlinear regression analysis are investigated and the modified Levenberg-Marquardt and separable nonlinear least-square algorithms are applied in determining the model parameters. Example case studies illustrate the procedure for the computation through the use of experimental/analytical data taken form the literature. Transformation of connection curves from the three-parameter model to the four-parameter model for structural analysis is conducted based on the modeling of connections subject to fire.

We report a 12-month-old female infant who had a history of neonatal sepsis with liver micro-abscesses that resolved with intravenous antibiotics during neonatal period. During her neonatal admission period, no umbilical vein catheter was inserted. Also, she did not undergo any abdominal surgeries or had a postnatal history of necrotizing enterocolitis. However, the child developed upper gastrointestinal bleeding in form of hematemesis and melena secondary to esophageal varices at the age of 12 months with an extra-hepatic portal vein obstruction with cavernous transformation and portal hypertension subsequently. The child underwent a successful endoscopic injection sclerotherapy. She is now 20-month-old and has portal hypertension but otherwise asymptomatic. We are proposing the possibility of a delayed-onset portal hypertension as a complication of liver abscess and neonatal sepsis.

Thiamine (vitamin $B_1$) is a water-soluble vitamin that is not endogenously synthesized in humans. It is absorbed by the small intestine, where it is activated. Its active form acts as a coenzyme in many energy pathways. We report a rare case of thiamine deficiency in a 3.5-year old boy with short bowel syndrome secondary to extensive bowel resection due to necrotizing enterocolitis during his neonatal age. The patient was parenteral nutrition-dependent since birth and had suffered from recurrent central catheter-related bloodstream infections. He developed confusion with disorientation and unsteady gait as well as profound strabismus due to bilateral paresis of the abductor muscle. Based on these and a very low thiamine level he was diagnosed and treated for Wernicke encephalopathy due to incomplete thiamine acquisition despite adequate administration. He fully recovered after thiamine administration. After 1999 eight more cases have been reported in the PubMed mostly of iatrogenic origin.

LGBT movements have been actively taking place since the late 20th century, 24 countries around the world have fully embraced same-sex marriage as a form of marriage, and implemented it into law. Therefore in this paper, arguments and discussion on prohibition of discrimination due to homosexuality are examined and reviewed under the Constitution of Korea, by looking at the discussion on homosexuality (sexual orientation), which is currently in progress in Korea. However, First, national consensus is deemed absolutely necessary to add a new prohibition ground. Second, specifying the grounds for prohibiting discrimination should take into account historical background and demands of the "oughtness." Third, it should be noted that the grounds for prohibiting discrimination specified in the Constitution are not subject to moral judgment. Fourth, in the case where homosexuality and/or sexual orientation are specified as grounds for prohibiting discrimination, the problems that may occur must be considered. the "National Human Rights Commission Act of Korea" Article 2, Subparagraph 1 defines the concept of "human right(s)," and also in Subparagraph 3, "sexual orientation" is enumerated as an example of "discriminatory act." Therefore, "National Human Rights Commission Act of Korea" Article 2, Paragraph 3 must be deleted.

Shipping has become an important sector in supporting social, economic, government, defense, security, cultural and other sectors to unite separate islands and broad seas. Thus, ports automatically become an important facility in Indonesia. The purpose of this research is to test and explain the effect of Organizational readiness for change, Service Innovation, and Corporate Image on Perceived opportunity and challenge. The research model with inferential analysis uses Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) analysis with the WarpPLS approach, expected to answer the statements of problem and be able to test the desired hypothesis. The model development in this research was based on the background, statements of problem, conceptual framework and research hypotheses. The model referred to is "Complete and Comprehensive Port." Its development was carried out through studying and synthesizing various sources. The most important source is the results of literature review in the form of theoretical developments and research results, then continued with compilation. The use of Organizational Change Readiness, Service Innovation, and Corporate Image in improving Port Competitiveness is seen as one of the novelties of this research, specifically the use of the Organizational Change Readiness variable which is often used in high-flexibility companies but now used in port companies as well.

This study analyzes the dispute settlement of between arbitration and litigation using a game theoretical approach. Many studies on arbitration have so far focused on the relevant institutions. However, there are few theoretical studies that have focused on the demand side of arbitration. The model presented here suggests conditions under which arbitration form a perfect Bayesian Nash equilibrium, provided that the players strategically choose a dispute settlement tool. Furthermore, the suggested model is used to analyze simple cases of international commercial dispute cases.

Flat plate structures are designed in the form of long span due to the development of construction materials and the improvement of construction technology. However, a high-rise structure of a flat plate of 50 less floors is constructed without detailed review of the inequality shortening, long-term deflection of the slab, and cracks. Therefore, it is possible to examine the case of defects in the structure due to deformation and damage of non-structures such as crack and leak, deflection of the door frame, and deformation of equipment ducts. In this study, it is a high-rise structure, and the inequality shortening and long-term deflection of the slab of the flat plate structure were evaluated through finite element analysis, and it was confirmed that prior precision analysis and correction during construction is necessary.

It is important for Singaporean companies to manage the multifaceted risks when forming international construction joint ventures (ICJVs) with developing countries. The objectives of this study are to assess the risks associated with Singaporean ICJVs with developing countries, and investigate the risk allocation preferences in these ICJVs. To fulfill these objectives, a literature review was carried out and a questionnaire survey was performed with 38 professionals. The survey results reported "political instability" as the most critical risk, and market level risks were less critical than country and project level risks. Additionally, the results showed agreement on the risk ranking between building and infrastructure ICJVs, despite significant differences in the criticalities of five risks. Furthermore, five risks were preferably allocated to host and foreign partners, respectively, while 13 risks could be shared among partners. As few studies have explored the risk allocation preferences in ICJVs, this study expands the literature. Also, the identification of the risks allows other companies to customize their own lists of critical risks, while the preferred risk allocation provides valuable information for companies from various countries that intend to form ICJVs with developing countries. Thus, this study contributes to the global body of knowledge relating to ICJVs.
