Objective: A Case Report on Control of Diabetes Using Nutritional Therapy Methods: The patient is a Korean woman aged 58 years. The patient has a history of cervical cancer surgery and is a diabetic patient. Results: Diabetes improved following nutritional therapy. Conclusion: Nutritional therapy can be beneficial in the treatment of diabetes.

Objective: A case report on the improvement of cartilage loss and micro cartilage tearing Methods: The patient is a Korean male aged 64 years. The patient has a history of erosive arthritis. Nutritional therapy administered. Results: QoL improved following nutritional therapy. Conclusion: Patients with cartilage loss and micro cartilage tear may benefit from nutrition therapy.

We evaluated natural attenuation of petroleum hydrocarbons in a shallow aquifer using a modeling study. The studied shallow aquifer was severely contaminated with petroleum hydrocarbons, especially toluene, ethylbenzene and xylenes (i.e, TEX). The exact spill history was not known. Therefor we used a contaminant level in May 1999 (the first sampling date of our integrated study) as an initial contaminant concentration. we calibrated required transport parameters using the contamination levels obtained from groundwater analyses in September of 1999. For fate and transport of the petroleum contaminants, five case 2 with sorption and degradation. case 3 with sorption and degradation (half decay constant compared with case 2), case 4 with degradation but no sorption, and case 5 with sorption but no degradation. For sorption and degradation, a linear sorption isotherm and first order irreversible decay was assumed, respectively and no additional contamination source to groundwater is also assumed.

The late Prof. Kyeok Boo Han (1913-2005) was one of the pioneers in the early stages of the establishment of thoracic surgery in Korea. He was in charge of thoracic surgery at Seoul National University Hospital from 1948 to the outbreak of the Korean War in 1950. He presented a thoracic surgical case entitled "Adhesive (constrictive) pericarditis: one surgical case" at the first academic meeting of the Chosun (an old name for Korea) Medical Association, held in 1947. This presentation is considered to be the first thoracic surgical case presented by a Korean surgeon at a domestic medical meeting after the National Liberation from Japanese colonial rule in 1945. In this regard, this study was intended to analyze the content and the meaning of the case, published in a journal in 1948.

경북 산업용 헴프 규제자유특구 사업이 시행된 지 어느덧 1여 년이 지났으며 현시점은 규제자유특구 이후의 국내 대마 산업을 위하여 생산이력관리 측면의 미흡한 점에 대한 보완 및 검토가 필요한 때이다. 본 연구에서는 경북 산업용 헴프 규제자유특구 사업 내 대마 이력관리의 현황과 특징을 알아보고 파일럿 인터뷰, 쉐도잉, 사용자 여정 지도 등의 서비스디자인 도구를 활용하여 현 이력관리에 대한 문제점을 도출하였다. 이어 선행국가인 미국 오리건주의 대마 생산체계 및 합법적인 대마 시장을 위해 권고하고 있는 대마이력추적시스템(CTS)의 사례를 비교·분석하였으며 방향성으로는 생육 특성에 맞는 생산 전주기 이력관리로 안전성 확보, 실시간 관리가 가능한 효율적인 기술 적용 고안, 규제자유특구 사업 내의 이력정보 공유를 제안하였다. 본 연구를 통해 현 대마 생산이력관리 시스템 개선 및 향후 국내 대마 산업화의 이력관리체계에 대한 올바른 정착에 도움이 될 것으로 기대한다.

이 연구의 목적은 인문사회계열 학생을 대상으로 한 교양 과학 수업에서 플립러닝 적용 사례와 함께 교양 과학 교과목의 수업 설계 과정에서 필요한 과학사 내용 체계를 제공하는데 있다. 연구를 위해 기존 운영중인 대학교 교양 과학 수업 및 과학사 수업의 실태를 분석하고, 다양한 선행연구 분석을 통해 플립러닝 방식을 적용한 '과학사의 이해' 교과목을 개발하였다. 과학교양교육의 본질적 목표에 도달할 수 있는 과학사 강의 목표로 지식의 습득과 다양한 역량 강화를 포함함과 함께 과학적 태도 함양을 설정하고 이를 고려하여 15주차의 내용 체계를 설계하였다. 구성된 '과학사의 이해' 내용 체계 중 '과학의 역사' 부분에 해당하는 4개의 주제는 플립러닝으로 수업을 구성하고 온라인 영상자료와 집단 토의 활동을 포함해 교수학습활동을 구성하였다. 인문사회계열 학생을 대상으로 강좌를 개설하고 56명의 대학생을 대상으로 수업을 운영한 결과 학생들의 과학에 대한 흥미와 인식이 높아진 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 이 연구의 사례를 통해 과학사 및 교양 과학 교육에 대한 교육적 시사점을 제공하였다.

본 증례는 8개월령의 암컷 붉은목왈라비에서 발생한 포획근병증으로, 피부병 치료를 위하여 약욕 후 침울, 파행, 기립불능증의 임상증상을 보이다 14일 후에 폐사하였다. 왈라비가 기립불능 증상을 보인 다음날 실시한 혈액검사 에서, CK, ALT, AST의 상승을 확인하였다. 폐사 후 실시한 조직검사에서, 골격근과 심근의 근섬유가 퇴행되고, 괴사 된 소견을 발견할 수 있었다. 동거 개체로부터의 압박과 비타민 E의 부족이 의심되는 급여력, 약욕시의 스트레스등과혈액검사와 조직검사 결과 포획근병증으로 진단하였다. 포획근병증은 유대류에서 호발하는 질병으로 알려져 있으나 국내에서의 발병보고는 본 증례가 최초로, 포획근병증의 관리에 도움이 될 것이다.
