호수에서의 남조류 독성물질의 새로운 분석법 개발 (Development of New Analysis Method of Cyanobacterial Toxins in Reservoirs)

  • 남조류의 독성물질인 microcystin을 HPLC로 분석하기 위해 지금까지는 ODS cartridge를 사용하였으나 본 연구에서는 CN cartridge를 사용하는 새로운 분석 방법을 시도하였다. CN cartridge는 0.5M 초산 용액으로 처리되었으며 Microcystins RR과 LR을 용리시키기 위해 30% Acetonitrile 용액이 사용되었다. CN cartridge를 이용하는 분석 방법이 기존의 ODS cartridge를 이용하는 방법보다 훨씬 더 정확한 정량을 할 수 있었다. 특히 Microcystin LR의 경우 피크 면적에서 현저한 차이를 보였다.

Yoon과 Nelson의 흡착모델을 이용한 방독마스크 정화통의 수명예측(I) (Prediction of Service Life of a Respirator Cartridge for Organic Solvent by Using Yoon and Nelson's Adsorption Model)

  • A respirator is useful to protect a worker from the harmful gases and vapors in the workplace, and the evaluation of respirator cartridge service life is important for the worker's health and safety. The performance of cartridge is effected by several factors such as concentration of gas and vapor, humidity, temperature, adsorbents and cartridge packing density. Adsorption model was applied to both sampling tube and respirator cartridge to predict the service life for organic vapors. The variables of the adsorption model were measured from the experiment with the sampling tube, and it was used to predict the service life of respirator cartridge. In the experiment, we used carbon tetrachloride as a organic vapor and activated carbon take out respirator cartridge as activated carbon. As a result, it was possible to predict the service life of respirator cartridge and predicted service life was quite correct. Breakthrough time decreased with increase of CCl4 concentration. In case of sampling tube, adsorbed amount of CCl4 was larger than respirator cartridge due to linear velocity. Also, rate constant of sampling tube was larger than respirator cartridge, because of, effect of flow rate, packing density. In the prediction of service life of respirator cartridge by using sampling tube, the time required for 50% contaminant breakthrough(${\tau}$) is more effective than the rate constant(k').

  • The oxidized mixture of lipid(methyl linoleate) and phenolics(phloroglucinol) at 37$^{\circ}C$, 82$m\ell$ O/min., for 9 days were separated each by C cartridge and silica cartridge making use of different eluting solvent. And the oxidation products were analyzed by HPLC. In conclusion, the oxidized mixture were separated into methyl linoleate and phloroglucinol by cartridge on HPLC. and also in this experiment, separated methyl linoleate and phloroglucinol could be analyzed in the common eluant, water and acetonitrile on HPLC. SEP-PAK cartridges were used almost sample purification until now, but under the various eluting solvents and conditions, cartridge will be expected to mini columns which can separate different polarity materials.

  • The breakthrough curves of a sampling tube were studied to predict the service life of a respirator cartridge for organic vapors. The fixed bed adsorption model was applied to respirator cartridge and it's variables were calculated from tile experiment of sampling tube. By the experiment and simulation, it was possible to predict the service life of a respirator cartridge, however, not adequate at low $CCl_4$ concentration less than 700ppm and at high air humidify. The breakthrough curves of sampling tube were irregular compare to that of respirator cartridge due to .packing density.

DNPH Cartridge를 이용한 악취성 카르보닐화합물의 분석회수율 비교 (Comparison of recovery rates of DNPH-Cartridge sampler in the analysis of odorous carbonyl compounds)

  • 본 연구에서는 악취성 카르보닐화합물(CC)의 채취에 많이 사용하는 DNPH cartridge의 분석 회수율을 다양한 방법으로 평가하였다. 이를 위해, 각기 다른 3종류의 DNPH cartridge (A =Waters, B = Top trading, C = Supelco) 제품을 대상으로 5가지 CC 성분들에 대하여 총 9 가지 농도단계(33~2600 nmol)의 작업용 표준시료를 제조하였다. 그리고 이들 제품들을 이용하여, 카트리지 분석 방식별, 제품별 성능을 평가하였다. 본 실험의 결과, cartridge 제품에서 acetaldehyde와 propionaldehyde 성분의 blank를 일반적으로 검출하였다. 검량 기울기 값을 비교하는 방식으로 5 가지 CC성분에 대한 제품별 회수율 비교하였다. 그 결과, 3 가지 제품 모두 CC 성분의 분자량이 증가할 경우 회수능이 감소하는 양상을 보였다. 그리고 회수율의 변화추이를 percent error(%)와 같은 변수로 살펴본 결과, 263 nmol 부터 1312 nmol 농도 범위에서 가장 안정적인 경향을 나타냈다. 이러한 점을 감안할 때, 분석 대상 CC에 대한 이상적인 농도범위와 cartridge의 선택이 정확한 분석자료를 확보하는데 중요한 요인으로 작용한다는 것을 알 수 있다.

  • We researched carbon nanotube(CNT) cartridge as a CNT sample for the fabrication of nanotweezer which is composed of a couple of single CNT tip. Our CNT cartridge was made by dielectrophoretic methods, a kind of micromanipulation technique using electric field. Therein we intended to fabricate the CNT cartridge with just conventional function generators and a set of simple electrode. A knife edge and a flat metal electrode were employed as a couple of electrode, and these electrode pair faced each other with the gap. When the gap is filled with CNT suspension, we induced AC electric field into the gap. Then CNTs was attached on the sharp edge in knife edge by dielectrophoresis. This knife edge with attached CNTs is called as the CNT cartridge.

Experimental Evaluation of Filter Performance of Depth Filter Media Cartridge with Varying the Pleat Count and the Cartridge Assembly Arrangement

  • A new depth filter media was designed and samples of flat sheet as well as cartridge assembly were prepared and tested to evaluate the filtration performance and compare with the commercial product. The arrangement of the depth filter media layers is important to reach the optimal filtration parameters like filter pressure drop, particle collection efficiency and dust holding capacity. Initially, both flat sheet samples of new media and commercial product have been tested using standard test units. Tests with new depth filter media cartridges of various pleat count were conducted in order to find the optimal pleat count which would represent the lowest pressure drop. These tests give an insight on how the pleat count and the assembly configuration affect the performance of the depth filter media cartridge. By comparing the samples with a commercial product we could confirm relatively high filtration performance of the sample cartridge with pleat count 150 made of new depth filter media. The cartridge with the same pleat count exhibits better performance without the outer mesh.

저분진 케이블 POD 생산을 위한 히팅 롤러의 열전도 분석 (Thermal Conductivity Analysis of Heating Rollers for Cable Low Dust POD Production)

  • The heating roller of an actual pulse output device (POD) production facility is composed of a steel roller and a rubber roller. The time to reach a specific temperature and the temperature distribution on the roller surface were analyzed and compared according to the change in the number of cartridge heaters inside the heating roller. In this analysis, a steady-state thermal analysis of a steel roller was performed for the cases of a 5-cartridge heater and 9-cartridge heater. Finite element analysis was applied with reference to the surface temperature data of the heating roller during operation and the calorific value of the cartridge heater. Using the 9-cartridge heater, faster target temperature achievement and more uniform temperature distribution were confirmed than for the 5-cartridge heater.

  • Because of development of printing technology, toner cartridge particle becomes smaller and more dangerous. And sometimes we had incidents with dust explosion of toner cartridge particle at recycling facilities in Japan. Therefore we studied on hazard of toner particle relating with dust explosion. We found that toner particle is so dangerous compared with most organic solids, even though it does not belong to hazardous materials in the UN regulation and the Japanese Fire Service Law.

파속류의 잔류농약분석과정에서 silver ion-silica solid phase extraction에 의한 황화합물의 제거 효율성 (Efficiency of Silver Ion-Silica Solid Phase Extraction for Elimination of Sulfur Compounds during Pesticide Multiresidue Analysis in Allium Species)

  • 파속류에 다량 함유된 황화합물들은 GC/ECD에 민감하게 반응하기에, 이 농산물들의 잔류농약분석에서 방해 물질로 작용하여 농약성분의 분리정량에 어려움을 주고 있다. 최근 잔류농약분석에서 정제법으로 여러 가지 고상추출법(solid-phase extraction)이 개발되고 있으며, 본 연구에서는 황화합물을 효율적으로 제거하기 위하여, 20% 질산은($AgNO_3$)용액 3 ml을 Florosil cartridge (1 g packing, 6 ml tube)에 처리한 은이온흡착 cartridge (silver nitrate impregnated florosil cartridge)를 조제하였다. 이 cartridge를 이용하여 파속류 각 2, 4, 6 및 10 g에 해당하는 추출액을 고상추출법으로 정제한 결과, 양파 6 g, 대파 4 g, 쪽파는 4 g 까지는 황화합물의 95% 이상을 제거할 수 있었다. 그리고, 40종의 농약을 각 파속류에 첨가하고 이 cartridge에서 유출하여 회수율을 분석한 결과 34종이 70~120%의 범위 안에 들었다.
