자동화 컨테이너 터미널을 위한 멀티에이전트 기반의 운영시스템 모델링 (Multi-Agent based Operation System Modeling for Automated Container Terminals)

  • 세계무역기구(WTO : World Trade Organization)를 설립된 이후 무역은 세계화가 되고, WTO에서 무역 장벽을 낮춰 국가 간의 경제 교류가 점점 증가하면서 국제적인 물류 시스템이 필요하게 되었다. 원가를 절감하기 위해 대랑 수송 수판으로 컨테이너선을 이용하면서 대형 컨테이너 선사들은 국제적인 물류 시스템의 대안으로 기업에게 화물추적 정보시스템의 제공이나 장비, 기기 관리를 위한 정보시스템 네트워크를 구축하여 자동화 시스템을 도입했다. 컨테이너 터미널 자동화를 위해 본 논문에서는 수시로 변경되는 정보를 인식하여 에이전트간의 정보교환을 위해 유동적으로 대처할 수 있는 XML(eXtensive Markup Language)과 JMS(Java Message Service)를 이용한 멀티에이전트간의 통신모델을 제안했다. 이 논문은 기존의 자동화한 컨테이너 터미널 시스템 사례와 자동화 시스템을 개발하는데 어려움, 컨테이너 터미널 시스템이 요구하는 통신과 자동화에 대하여 분석하였다.

시뮬레이션에 의한 컨테이너 물류시스템의 분석에 관하여(BCTOC를 중심으로) (An Analysis of Container Logistics System by Computer Simulation)

  • Because of the sharp increase of its export and import container cargo volumes contrast to the lack of related Container Terminal facility, equipment and inefficient procedure, there is now heavy container cargo congestions in Pusan Container Terminal. As a result of such a situation, many container ships avoid their calls into Pusan port. This is a major cause that in tum kads to weakening intemational competitiveness of the Korean industry. This study, therefore, aims are to make a quantitative analysis of Container Terminal System through the computer simulation, especially focusing on its 4 sub-system of a handling system, 'it is checked whether the current operation is being performed effectively through the computer simulation. The overall findings are as folIows; Firstly, average tonnage of the ships visiting the BCTOC was 32,360 G/T in from January '96, to may '96. The average arrival interval and service time of container ships at BCTOC are 5.63 hours and 18.67 hours respectively. Ship's arrival and service pattern at BCTOC was exponential distribution with 95% confidence and Erlang-4 distribution with 99% confidence. Secondly, average waiting time and number of ships was 9.9 hours, 235 ships(38%) among 620 ships. Number of stevedoring container per ship was average 747.7 TED, standard deviation 379.1 TEU and normal distribution with 99% confidence. Thirdly, from the fact that the average storage days of containers at BCTOC are 2.75 days (3.0 days when import, 2.5 days when export). it is founds that most containers were transfered to the off-dock storage areas with the free periods(5 days when import, 4 days when export), the reason for which is considered to be the insufficient storage area at BCTOC. Fourthly, in the case of gate in-out at BCTOC, occupied containers and emptied containers are 89% and 11% respectively in the gate-in, 75% and 25% seperately in the gate-out. Finally, from the quantitative analysis results for container terminal at BCTOC, ship's average wating time of ships was found to be 20.77 hours and berth occupancy rate(${\rho}$) was 0.83. 5~6 berths were required in order that the berth occupancy rate(${\rho}$) may be maintained up to 60% degree.

  • IMO는 자율운항선박을 인간의 간섭으로부터 독립하여 다양한 수준으로 운용되는 선박으로 정의하였다. 자율운항선박 안전운항지원서비스는 항계 및 협수로 내에서 안전하게 항만에 접이안하여 화물을 신속하게 적양하 할 수 있도록 육상에서 지원하는 공공 서비스 개발을 통해 자율운항선박의 안전성과 효율성을 향상시키기 위함이다. 이를 위하여 안전운항지원서비스에는 자율운항지원, 접이안 및 계류지원, 화물 적양하 및 선박입출항 지원, PSC 점검 지원, 상태모니터링 지원, 사고대응지원의 6종 서비스 개발을 포함하고 있다. 이 중 사고대응지원 서비스를 위해 선교항해장비에 대한 상대적 중요도를 전문가 집단의 의사결정방법 중 하나인 AHP 방법을 사용하여 구체적이며 정량적인 방법을 통해 객관적인 판단으로 안전하고 효율적인 안전지원서비스 제공을 위한 선교항해장비를 계층화하여 상대적 중요도를 평가하였다. 자율운항선박 안전운항지원서비스 중 사고대응지원서비스를 위한 선교항해장비를 수심정보, 위치정보, 속력정보로 구분하여 설문조사를 실시하였다. AHP 적용결과, 수심정보, 위치정보, 속력정보의 순으로 중요도를 평가하였으며, 위치정보제공을 위한 장비별 상대적 중요도는 레이더, DGPS, ECDIS, 자이로 컴파스, 자동조타장치, AIS 순으로 평가하였다. 이는 항해사 장비별 활용도와 해양사고에 미치는 영향에 대한 설문조사결과와 유사함을 알 수 있었다.

ON-DOCK 서비스 시스템이 부산항 경쟁력 향상에 미치는 영향 (On the Effect of ON-DOCK System to the Sharpening of Competitiveness Edge of the Pusan Port)

  • Port competition is generally classified into two type of inter-domestic ports and intermational ports and the latter is measured how to secure the function of intermediacy for foreign cargoes among competing parts. In the Northeast Asia top 20 world container ports such as Pusan, Kobe, Yokohama and Kaohsiung are struggling to induce transshipment containers generated in the North China region. This paper aims to analyze and evaluate the competitive factors of the said ports such as port site facilities expenses service level and flexibility of management and operations and suggest the feasible strategies that the Pusan Port to be viable transshipment center in the region. The evaluation is attempted twice. First attempt is evaluated by present conditions of each port and second attempt by upgraded conditions of evaluation value such as port service level and flexibility of port management and operations resulted from the implementation of the ON-DOCK service system. The results of evaluation are as follows; (1) Port competitiveness of first evaluation is ranked in Kobe=Kaohsiung >Pusan>Yokohama. (2) Second evaluation is resulted in Kobe> Pusan= Kaohsiung>Yokohama. According to this results the competitiveness edge of the Pusan Port is able to strengthen by implementation of the ON-DOCk system.

인천항의 서비스품질이 고객만족과 경영성과에 미치는 영향 (A Study on the Effects of the Port Service Quality on Customer Satisfaction and Performance in Incheon Port)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to propose useful suggestions by analyzing causal effect relationship between port service quality, and customer satisfaction and performance in port industry. Methods: The collected data through the survey were analyzed using multi-regression analysis. The measurement tools used for this study were divided into three dimensions such as internal quality, interaction quality and environmental quality. Results: The results of this study are as follows; regarding the influence of pot service quality dimension on customer satisfaction, it was found that the effects of interaction quality and internal quality were significant and those of environmental quality was not significant on customer satisfaction. It was found that customer satisfaction made statistically significant influence on performance from the investigation of the causal effect relationship between customer satisfaction and performance. Conclusion: Incheon Port needs to act actively paying attention to port facilities, efficient operation, network, cargo recruitment activities, smooth communication and fast handling.

An Empirical study on improvement of operation for feeder vessel route between Busan and west coast of Japan

  • In this paper, practical problems for current feeder service between Busan port and west coast of Japan were extracted through in depth interviews with Japanese feeder vessel companies, shippers, and port authority based upon which major criteria (elements) for improvement of the feeder network are structured in hierarchic order and weighed relative importance through AHP method. From the questionnaire answered by Korean and Japanese port users and experts the weights of criteria were calculated and the shipping service was ranked the first by both parties with 0.235 and 0.217, respectively. The port service and support system ranked the second and the third, whereas the port marketing was shown to be the lowest of all. Considering the overall weights, the increase in a port loading and unloading speed of port service was followed by provision of dedicated deck for feeder vessel of port facilities for Korean respondents. Therefore, speed up of the port operations and providing docks for feeder vessel are to be firstly provided for more efficient feeder operations, which would be the basis for the construction of optimal transportation network.

중국의 해외구매대행 현황과 문제점에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Status and Problem Concerning Overseas Shopping Service)

  • With the steady growth of our nation's economy, the purchase power of our domestic citizens has continuously enhanced. In recent years, online overseas shopping has rapidly warmed up, increasing number of Chinese people have started to purchase overseas products via internet. According to China's current legislation, the imported goods are divided into goods and items based on "profitability standard", and regulated by different rules of clearance supervision and import duties. Goods can't pass through custom and pay duties in the form of items, and the import duties burden of goods is generally much heavier than that of items. Goods of entrusted overseas shopping pass through custom and pay duties in the form of items, but goods of profitable purchasing are goods, not items. Therefore, the profitable-purchasing behavior is smuggling. Although goods of unprofitable purchasing are items, unprofitable-purchasing behavior may also constitute smuggling. The author concludes that causes of smuggling crime are: huge market demand for overseas goods, lack of customs supervision, law blank of petty foreign trade, and public's misconception of entrusted overseas purchasing are the major factors. The author proposes the corresponding preventive measures against the crime, such as to establish an one-stop service system in online Shopping Mall, to modify the Passengers' Baggage Declaration Form, to establish a relatively simplified clearance system of small cargo, to establish a relatively reasonable import duties of petty trade.

인천항의 선박도착 분포 및 부두서비스 실태 분석에 관한 연구 (Analysis on the Distribution of Ship Arrival and the Cargo Handling Service of Inchon Port)

  • Ship's delay caused by port congestion has drawn attention to the necessity for analysis on overall operation in port. But, in order to analyze the complicated port operation which contains large number of variable factors, queueing theory is needed to be adopted, which is applicable to a large scale transportation including ship's arrival in a large port. In this paper, a simulation model for Inchon Port was developed by the software SIMAN V and presented congestion rate under a certain scenario regarding the arrival ship's number and service levels. To develop the simulation model, types of ships and cargoes during the 1995 in Inchon Port was analyzed in advance. The results of the simulation can be summarized as follows : In order to maintain present levels of congestion rate and time with the increasing number of arrival vessels, service rate should be increased at an exponential rate. To improve the current congestion effectively, part of cargoes are needed to be transferred to a newly developing port. Results obtained from simulation can be used properly to prepare improved service levels and to plan appropriate investment strategies.

  • Third Party Logistics (TPL) providers offer outsourced logistics services to companies for part or sometimes all of their supply chain management. Although TPL market is increasing rapidly and drawing much attention from various aspects, it is not easy to find the researches dealing with relations between TPL providers and home delivery companies dealing with small-sized cargo. This study focused on service dimensions which TPL providers consider when they choose a home delivery company. In this paper, we found five factors of service dimensions including delivery charge, logistics management shills, partnership, and then investigated which dimensions affect TPL providers' preference. In addition, we showed that the logistics management skills are more important than the delivery charge which has commonly been considered the most important factor. This study offers managerial insights on TPL providers' prefer once which we can hardly find in theoretical and practical perspective.

  • Purpose - Yard inventories increase when export containers are carried into the terminal and decrease when import containers are delivered to the consigners. The purpose of this study is to analyze container inventories according to the weekly ship arrival pattern at container terminals. Research design, data, and methodology - As container ships operate according to weekly schedules based on shipping companies and their routes, specific terminals provide a fixed-day service in a week. Thus, yard inventories can change with weekly fluctuations. The data used in this study were the actualdata at specific container terminals. Result - The dwell times of each container at a terminal represent an important variable that affectsyard inventories. Even cargo flows are steady in a given period, if dwell times are prolonged, yard inventories increase. Conclusion - Dwell time is another factor causing yard inventory change. Therefore, the calculation for yard inventories should consider the weekly ship arrival patterns and dwell times of each container. Further, at the planning stage, dwell time should be more carefully considered to calculate yard capacity.
