Every country in the world has been trying to expand the basic health right for the peoples as W.H.O has established the goal 'health for AU' by the year of 2000. Related to this goal, our government authority has establish the policy 'the insurance of health for all' into effect from July 198\). Recently hospitalshave been making a ceaseless effort for the plan for the rationalization of its management the academic World is making it a subject of discussion by doing the secure of manpower at a resonable level and the increase of productivity by the manpower. As a result of the efforts the study was established to secure the numbers of nursing manpower at a resonable level and use the unskilled persons at the utilizing field and seek the possible area of their activity for more efficient service through the investigation of ablity of simple nursing activities of regiestered nurses and nurse aides for rational function according to the educational levels and talents. The method of study was established by the registered nurses and nurse and nurse aides(R.N 229, N.A 226) who are working in 15 hospitals with over 200 beds. This surrey was conducted from Mar 29, 1989 to April 8, 1989. The method to test the degree of importance, difficulties, and the abillity of performance of a simple nursing activities was classified into 35 activities on the basis of references on this field. The degree of importance was composed from point l(Not so important) to 5(Very important). the degree of difficulties. was composed as follows; very easy - Point 1 very difficult and complicated - Point 5. and the ability of performance was composed from point 1 to 5. The materials gathered through the survey were analyzed with frequency, mean standard deviation, percentage. t-test, Anova, pearson's coefficient of correlation, stepwise multiple regression. factor analysis, discriminant analysis. The obtained results are summarized as follows: 1. The recognition values of the simple nursing activities of each group of registered nurse and nurse aides show; The degree of importance; 4.04 and 4.26 The degree of difficulties; 2.72 and 2.94 The ability of performance; 2.07 and 2.38 The brief summary shows there are little differences between who two groups the simple nursing activities turned out to be easy and simple work. 2. Regardless of the degree of importance, and difficulties, the ability of performance the important in fluencing of the degree of the simple nursing activities between the registered nurses and nurse aides was the order of educational level, hospital career, working career in wards and ages of the registered nurses and ages and hospital creer of nurse aides. The result was that the simple nursing activities could easily be familiar through the training of their working environment and period of experience. 3. Among the 35 simple nursing activities the items capable of resonable entrusting to the nurse aides are 5 that is helping bed-bathing, 8itz Bath, using bed pan, care while delivering patient, accompaying patient when visitor's check. There wasn't and differences between RN and nurse aides in performing the above 5 items. In anywhere. so we can say obviosuly that this nursing activities should be performed under the nursing system of which chief of nurse are supposed to supervise nurse aides as a possible function to be entrusted. In view of the above mentioned results, therefore, this partial functional job of the simple nursing activities can able be entrusted to the nurse aides through the regular training course. In case of these functional activities could be entrusted under, the responsibility of registered nurse, we can able suggest to for that there are the following advantages: 1.. In the nursing activities-affairs, the qualified guarantee of the nursing services can be kept and increased or promotoed with accommodation of the required nursing service and roles being expanded presently. 2. In the productivity of the hospital manpower, therefore, we have comt to view and consider in favourly that when an automational administration times would be come in the near future time to hospital affairs as a reality, to utilize the existing nures aides is better rather than investing so as to develop the other source manpowers or seek its for the efficient business management in the operational strategy or its policy.
Although dental hygiene has haven a special domain of knowledge and its own business territory, people have misunderstandings about dental hygienists as nurses or nirses' aides in Korea. Inadequate knowledge could make negative results for university applicants to choose department of dental hygiene. This study was aimed to compare major and job satisfaction of students and graduates in dental hygiene and nursing for objective comparison and suggestion for dental hygiene. The subjects were 98 dental hygiene students, 113 nursing students, 53 dental hygienists, and 53 nurses by convenience sampling in Daejeon. The questionnaire consisted of satisfaction of college life, social identity, career path and job. ANOVA with Tukey post-hoc analysis was used with SPSS 20.0 program. Although dental hygiene students scored lower than nursing students in satisfaction of college life, social identity, career path and job, dental hygienists, nurse and dental hygiene students didn't have different satisfaction of job. Dental hygienists scored the lowest in relation with clinical work and major curriculum, and sexual discrimination. Nurses scored the lowest in working condition and salary. Dental hygienists and dental hygiene students had lower scores in information and advice of career path, entrance to graduate school, stable work, family's pride of my major, social position and so on. We suggested the community of dental hygiene should try to promote dental hygienists to public, the community of dentists should give the stable working condition, and the department of dental hygiene should improve the major curriculum to relate with clinical work.

Recent changes in health problems as well as the health delivery system demand expanding nursing roles to improve quality care and at the same time provide cost-effective health services. Nursing leaders of the future will be expected to be excellent care givers who are well prepared as researchers and managers and administrators. The purpose of developing an ND program is to train nursing leaders for the future. The program objective are to demonstrate the role as 1) an advanced practitioner who will provide theory based practice 2) a researcher and manager The target population of the ND program is as follows : 1) Nurses with a BSN degree who are seeking to advance on the career ladder 2) Non-nursing BS, BA graduates who are seeking nursing as a second career 3) Transfer students who are mature and motived to be nursing leaders It is believed that the ND program would meet the diverse needs for potential students, for their role in nursing and the health delivery system and create a meaning and challenging position in the profession of nursing. A task force team was organized to develop the ND program and its activities are as follows; 1) Information on ND programs were collected from 3 universities and reviewed 2)An advanced education needs assessment was completed and it was found that 87.6% of the subjects responded positively about advanced degree work. 3) A tentative curriculum for an ND program was developed. It is a great challenge to develop a new program for nursing however, it is also our task and responsibility to further the development of nursing.

연구목적: 본 연구는 간호사의 임상경력단계에 따른 경력개발제도에 대한 간호사의 인식을 파악하고, 경력개발제도에 대한 인식, 전문직 자아개념과 임파워먼트와의 관계를 파악하여 간호사 경력개발제도의 개선의 근거 마련하고 전문직 자아개념과 임파워먼트의 증대 방안 모색을 통한 인적자원관리에 기여하고자 시도 된 서술적 상관관계 연구이다. 연구방법: 서울시 소재 일 상급종합병원에서 근무하는 중환자실, 수술실, 응급실 간호사 162명을 대상으로 설문지를 이용하여 경력개발제도에 대한 인식, 전문직 자아개념, 임파워먼트를 측정하였다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS WIN 18.0 프로그램을 활용하여 서술적 통계, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson's Correlation Coefficient, Multiple linear Regression을 시행하였다. 연구결과: 간호사의 임상경력단계에 따른 경력개발제도에 대한 인식은 전임 2 간호사가 신입 간호사, 일반 간호사, 전임 1 간호사보다 높은 인식을 가지고 있었다. 경력개발제도에 대한 인식과 전문직 자아개념, 임파워먼트에는 통계적으로 유의한 양의 상관관계가 있었다. 다중회귀분석을 실시한 결과 경력개발제도에 대한 전반적 이해, 경력개발제도에 대한 기대효과, 최종학력, 임상경력단계가 전문직 자아개념의 42% 설명하는 것으로 나타났고, 경력개발제도에 대한 전반적 이해, 전문적 활동 참여에 대한 인식, 경력개발제도에 대한 기대효과, 임상경력단계가 임파워먼트를 42% 설명하였다. 결론: 전문직 자아개념과 임파워먼트에 영향을 미친 변수로 나타난 경력개발제도에 대한 인식을 향상시킬 수 있는 방안을 개발하여 적용을 통한 효과 검증이 요구되며, 간호 관리자들의 제도 운영과 관련된 장애요인의 파악 및 세심한 제도 개선이 필요하다.
This study was to identify the factors affecting nurses' use intention of digital healthcare and the moderating effect of clinical career based on the UTAUT model. The items were composed by performance expectancy 3 items, facilitation condition 3tiems, and perceived risk 3 items. CFA was performed to verify the construct validity. As a results, average variance extracted (AVE) was .5 or higher, and construct reliability (CR) was .7 or higher. Model fit was confirmed as CMIN/df=1.797, GFI=.955, CFI=.979, TLI=.968, IFI=.979, and RMSEA=.063. The internal reliability was .93 for performance expectancy, .84 for facilitating conditions, and .64 for perceived risk. Performance expectancy, facilitating condition, and perceived risk had a significant effect on use intention, and clinical career showed a moderating effect(t=-2.159, p=.032). Therefore, in order to enhance the use intention of digital health care, performance expectancy, and facilitating conditions should be raised and perceived risk should be reduced.

This study was conducted to identify the levels of patient safety culture, critical thinking disposition, and patient safety nursing activities and determine the factors affected by patient safety nursing activities among nurses in comprehensive nursing care service wards. Subjects consisted of 150 nurses from general hospitals in B city, Korea, and data were analyzed using the SPSS Win 21.0 program. The mean scores of awareness of patient safety culture, critical thinking disposition, and patient safety nursing activities were $3.32{\pm}0.32$, $3.50{\pm}0.31$, and $4.28{\pm}0.46$, respectively. The awareness of patient safety culture was significantly different by clinical career in the present unit (F=4.79, p=0.001). The critical thinking disposition was significantly different by age (F=3.89, p=0.010) and position (F=6.40, p=0.002). There were differences in the scores of patient safety nursing activities according to position (F=3.19, p=0.044). Additionally, hospital environment (${\beta}=0.25$, p=0.014), supervisor attitude (${\beta}=0.20$, p=0.046), and position (${\beta}=0.14$, p=0.040) accounted for a 44.4% variance in patient safety nursing activities. To promote patient safety nursing activities in comprehensive nursing care service wards, positive awareness of the hospital's safety environment and support from the manager are required.

This study analyzed the current situation of medium and small-sized hospital nursing staff and related policies, and identified the factors that affect staffing level to provide evidence for planning and adopting policy. By analyzing the statistical data published by public institutions such as the Ministry of Health and Welfare and Health Insurance Review and Assessment Service, the result was viewed based on the understanding of various internal and external health care environments. The number of active nurses was less than 50% of the number of licensed nurses and has decreased every year. This means that the cost-effectiveness of increases in nursing college enrollment should be reconsidered. Inpatient nursing fees by staffing grades has caused nurses to move from medium and small-sized hospitals, where there is a severe lack of staff, to more advanced general hospitals. As a result, the lack of nursing staff in medium and small-sized hospitals has worsened. In conclusion, reexamination is needed to improve effectiveness of inpatient nursing fees by staffing grades as a policy to secure the workforce of medium and small-sized hospitals. Furthermore, the tracking management system of licensed nurses must be able to solve the imbalance between demand and supply of nursing staff.

The purpose of this study was to analyze work complexity, critical thinking disposition, and the degree of intuition for nurse practitioners and determine the associations among the variables. 150 nurses at hospitals and general hospitals in D City participated in this study and data collection was performed from June 15 to July 8, 2017. The data were processed by using SPSS WIN 24.0 to estimate the mean, standard deviation and Pearson's correlation coefficient and perform one-way ANOVA. They scored $2.33{\pm}.45$ for work complexity, $3.58{\pm}.36$ for critical thinking disposition, and $2.69{\pm}.52$ for intuition. Work complexity differed significantly by age (F=4.55, p=.012), education (F=11.61, p=<.001), department (F=26.69, p=<.001), and clinical career (F=4.30, p=.006) among their general characteristics. Critical thinking disposition differed significantly by education (F=5.25, p=.006) and position (F=5.35, p=.006) and differed statistically insignificantly by intuition. Work complexity was positively correlated with critical thinking disposition (r=.323, p=<.001) and intuition (r=.201, p=.013) and no significant correlation was found between critical thinking disposition and intuition (r=.033, p=.685). On the basis of these results, it is necessary to develop education and programs that can allow nurses who regard nursing work as complex to improve their critical thinking disposition and intuition.

Purpose: The aim of this project was to develop a patient safety-focused inservice education program for surgical nurse and to test the effects of this program. Methods: Methodological designs for instruments development, a pretest-posttest and a posttest design were employed. After the education, nurses' satisfaction, confidence, usefulness and application of 137 nurses were evaluated at 15 surgical units of a tertiary teaching hospital in Seoul, Korea. The education contents are 6 skill areas (infusion pump use, suction, chest tube drainage, oxygen administration, nebulizer use, insulin administration) and medication knowledge. Teaching methods were lecture, instructor demonstration, and 1:1 skill test. Descriptive statistics, Wilcoxon test, Spearman's correlation and Stepwise regression were used. Results: Satisfaction scores for skills and medication education were 4.00-4.21 (out of 5), The more performance frequency in 6 skills, the higher score in confidence as well as in usefulness and application, and the higher satisfaction with the program, the higher score in usefulness, application, confidence, and medication knowledge. Medication knowledge improved after the education (Z=-7,757, p<.001). Significant predictors of skill confidence were application of skills in job performance, medication confidence, and career in present unit. Conclusion: The results of this study suggest that systematic and continuous inservice education will improve patient safety by promoting nursing quality.
The objectives of this study are first to develop the index of school health promoting behaviors, two, to measure those, third, to analysis the relative importance of factors that effect on school health promoting behaviors. School health promotion indexes were composed of 60 components of six areas which modify the element of health promoting schools are developed by world health organization. The survey data were collected by questionnaires from June to September in 1998. The number of subjects was 294 school nurses. The SAS-PC program was used for the statistical analysis. The major results were as follows: 1. The six areas of school health promoting behaviors are: school health politics (20 components), the school physical environment (17 component), the school social environment (7 component), community relationships (6 component), personal health skills (7 component) and health services (3 component). 2. The mean of total school health promotion indexes was highest at elementary school as 3.46. The order of area was health services, the school physical environment, school health politics, the school social environment, personal health skills, community relationships. 3. The regression model used in this analysis presented significant relationships between school health promoting behaviors and independent variables. The important variable affecting the area of school physical environment was education level of school nurses. The important variable affecting the area of the school social environment and personal health services were the location of school, credential education program. Age or career also were significant variables affect the community relationships and health services. In summary, The health promoting behavior of elementary school was higher than other school. It is mean that have to perform active promoting behavior at middle school and high school. Health service level was highest among areas of school health promoting behaviors. It is mean also that school nurse teachers is interested in activity for other areas to improve of school health. Furthermore, it is necessary to develop the specific program for school health promoting behavior.
