This study explored the status of free time activities among the dental technicians who are working at Seoul, Gyonggido, and Gangwondo. On the basis of this research, we aim to present needs and applicable solutions to improve the working conditions and enhance the quality of life through more effective time management in free time activities that lead to their self development and far more enriched life. 500 subjects were randomly chosen and the questionary sheets were provided. Among them, 305 sheets were returned to be analysed through SPSS Win 10.0 software and the results are as follows; First, mean in the satisfaction of leisure activities was 3.44(SD=.73). Mean in sub categories was as follows; psychological factor(M=3.65, SD=.71), social factor(M=3.54, SD=.75), rest factors(M=3.52, SD=.63), physical factor(M=3.43, SD=.88), other factors(M=3.40, SD=.66), circumstantial factor(M=3.33, SD=.63), educational factor(M=3.24, SD=.73). Second, the most relevant sub categories in the satisfaction of leisure activities were social, educational, physical, and other circumstantial factors by sequence. Factors that affect leisure activities satisfaction were career and status of health, which shows statistical significance(p<.001). That is to say, contention of this study is that the general characteristics are closely related with and affect the types and the level of satisfaction in leisure activities of the subjects. Considering these results, the dental businesses and the associations of dental technicians should recognize the needs to improve the time management through more efficient cooperations between dentists and back office dental team, systemized working time, and introduction of incentive system among others. On the basis of this appreciation, the dental business should provide more time and various opportunities with the dental technicians. Dental technicians also need to reconsider their appreciations of leisure activities, that is, leisure activities are not just spending time doing something but they refresh them and enable them to be more active and faithful to home and work.
Objectives: The purpose of the study is to investigate the effect of self-leadership on organizational effectiveness and job performance in the dental hygienist. Methods: A self-reported questionnaire was completed by 281 dental hygienists in Seoul, Incheon, and Gyeonggido from March 1 to 31, 2016. The questionnaire consisted of general characteristics of the subjects, self-leadership, job satisfaction, organizational commitment, job performance. Data were analyzed by t-test, one-way ANOVA, multiple regression analysis using the SPSS 18.0 program. Results: The average of self-leadership was 3.62, self-reward had highest score of 3.84, followed by rehearsal 3.73, self-expectation 3.72, self-goal setting 3.51, constructive thinking 3.48, and self-criticism 3.45. The average of organizational commitment was 3.11, and that of job satisfaction was 3.11 and the average of job performance was 3.70. Among the sub-factors of self-leadership, self-expectation, self-goal setting, constructive thinking showed a positive correlation with organizational commitment and job satisfaction. All sub-factors except for self-criticism showed a positive correlation with job performance. Among the sub-factors of self-leadership, self-expectation (${\beta}=0.350$), constructive thinking (${\beta}=0.124$), self-reward (${\beta}=0.106$), rehearsal (${\beta}=0.102$) showed a significant effect together with job satisfaction (${\beta}=0.187$) on job performance. Also, age, education level, clinical career, the average monthly salary showed a significant effect on job performance. Conclusions: The self-leadership and job satisfaction of in the dental hygienist had influence on job performance. To improve the job performance of dental hygienists, it is necessary to apply self-leadership development program focusing on the strengthening of self-expectation and constructive thinking.
As the level of the national income has been improved and the whole nation health insurance project has been spread, medical demand for dental health is also increasing. To cope with the increased medical demand, the need of dental health education and preventive dental care is recognized, and the number of dental hygienists is being increased with increase in dental clinics and hospitals. While more weight is actually given to treatment than prevention in hospitals, emphasis is placed on prevention in public health centers of state-run organizations and dental hygienists are performing the duty. According to this, dental hygienists shall be treated and recognized as professionals, who instruct people in dental health and assist the dentists in hospitals. Therefore to suggest vision to the students of department of dental hygiene, give them a solid motive, and inspire them with professional sense so that they can devote themselves to their duty with pride and self-confidence in the field can lead to contribution to dental health of each individual and the whole nation, in order to train them to be dental hygienists who are active and strive for change and development as professionals and capable of adapting themselves to the field of dental medicine. In this study, the professional sense and the recognition of the way of students belonging to department of dental hygiene were examined and based on this, a new direction for department of dental hygiene of three-year college was suggested.
To survive in the highly competitive environment, a vocational education institution must offer its students an attractive system of competency based vocational education. A first-term freshman at university and college should also be allowed to adjust the course selection Early exposure within one or more fields of study creates a high level of enthusiasm which helps students maintain their motivation. It also helps students decide if course selection is right for career choice and they should be provided a large number of diverse occupational opportunities later In this paper, we discuss how to activate the vocational education. Also we developed vocational guidance program for course selection through the subject for vocational guidance and the learning map for learning plan. This program was assessed through the survey on opinions of freshman.
Inclusion of hearing impaired students in general schools is the current tendency in deaf education today. The goal of inclusion is to promote the academic and social inclusion of hearing impaired students, where academic inclusion focuses on higher academic achievement and class participation level. However, some studies have shown that hearing impaired students attending general schools mostly experience feelings of isolation, rejection and loneliness, and encounter identity development problems. This study reviews the research on the inclusion of hearing impaired students in general schools, as well as the perceptions of their parents, teachers on their academic and social inclusion. A further aim of this study is to explore the supporting services, teachers's attitude, career guidance service and effective collaborative partnership among teachers for hearing impaired students. This study concludes with suggesting the community of knowledge as integrative supporting strategy for inclusion.

Objectives: The aim of this study was to evaluate the relationship of occupational stress and psychosocial stress to health promotion behaviors depending on characteristics of female office workers and emotional labor workers for sales. Methods: A survey of 207 female service workers engaging in sales of cosmetics in major department stores and 149 females working in the offices of cosmetics companies was carried out using a self-administered questionnaire. Results: It showed a significant difference in job demand and insufficient job control which are sub-domains of stress. The percentage of emotional laborers exposed to a high risk of psychosocial stress was higher than office workers. In office workers, occupational stress stemmed from insufficient job control and low reward of work was significantly related to psychosocial stress. But in emotional labor workers, stress from job insecurity, and organizational system were added. The relevant factors that affect health promotion behaviors were type of occupational stress, psychosocial stress, marital status, educational level and working career. Conclusions: Occupational stress and psychosocial stress were closely associated with health promotion behaviors. It was suggested that the development of health promotion programs which reduce the stress in female office and emotional labor workers.
This study aims to provide implications for the realization of the SDG goal for higher education through a comparative analysis of the UK and Australia's inclusive higher education policies. The cases of the UK and Australia were chosen for analysis since both countries have developed various policies to strengthen the inclusiveness of higher education since the early 2000s. The implications for the Korean government are as follows. First, it should approach the concept of underprivileged students by applying various categories such as 'race, region, and etc.,' not just for a category of income level. Second, it should enhance higher education opportunities for underprivileged students not only by expanding admission opportunities for them, but also by assisting them to adapt to college life and develop a student career. Third, it should provide underprivileged students with the customized support in consideration of their characteristics and merits. Finally, it should develop the "Inclusive Higher Education Project" which would help them complete higher education courses through regional partnerships.
This study analyzes the experiences of a color therapy program that uses color and fashion directing to influence the psychological characteristics of adolescents, such as emotional intelligence, self-efficacy, and color expression. The subjects of this study were 15 adolescents who participated in B-City Winter School (January 6-15, 2020). Pre- and post-tests for emotional intelligence and self-efficacy were conducted to confirm the effect of the color therapy program that indicated a significant difference at the p<.05 level. Statistical significance was confirmed through the GEE model for formal characteristics used in pre/post and fashion-directed color expression. Peter pre- and post-changes in vocabulary emergence were investigated with a Word Cloud analysis using R program 4.0.2 that extracted the lower and upper categories. The significance of this study is that by expressing both color expression and fashion direction together, a program was provided for adolescents to have richer emotional experiences and career-related experiences. This study examined changes within a short period of time in 15 subjects; consequently, a follow-up in-depth qualitative analysis of the program effect and a post-testing study on maintaining the long-term effect is expected to secure further validity and usefulness of the study results. In addition, new studies are expected to contribute to the development of differentiated fashion-related education programs.

Purpose: This study aimed to identify the relationship among musculoskeletal problems, sleep problems, and self-rated mental health of home-care workers. Methods: Data were collected from 447 home-care workers spanning three occupation types: life supporters for the elderly, home-visit caregivers, and life supporters for the disabled. Musculoskeletal problems, sleep problems, and self-rated mental health were assessed using structured questionnaires. Factors affecting self-rated mental health were analyzed using multiple regression. SPSS was used to test the mediating effects of sleep problems on musculoskeletal problems and self-rated mental health. Results: Among the general characteristics, the variables that showed significant differences in musculoskeletal problems were monthly income level, caring-related career duration, weekly working hours, and occupation type; and the variable that showed significant differences in self-rated mental health was occupation type. Among the occupation types, supporters for the disabled had the most musculoskeletal problems and the lowest self-rated mental health. Musculoskeletal problems among home-care workers had a direct negative effect on self-rated mental health and indirect negative effects on sleep problems. Conclusion: Measures are needed to reduce the differences in working conditions and health status among the occupation types of home-care workers. Considering the relevance between the health issues of home-care workers, the development of a carefully designed health promotion strategy is required.

Background and Objectives: This study aimed to investigate the occupational performance of Korean workers with and without hearing loss and analyze the hearing-related difficulties in the working environment. Subjects and Methods: The Amsterdam checklist for hearing and work was used for the analyses and the occupational environments of the Korean workers were investigated. Out of 129 total participants, 86 workers experienced severe to profound hearing loss and 43 had the normal hearing ability. The hearing-impaired workers were recruited from two leading vocational centers and normal-hearing workers were their colleagues. Results: The hearing-impaired workers were found to take fewer sick leaves and exhibited higher rates of permanent job statuses compared to the normal-hearing workers. Workers with hearing loss rarely detected background sound; however, they could perceive reverberation more frequently. They felt more satisfied with their careers than the normal hearing workers as they received social support and needed to put their effort into hearing for most hearing activities. Furthermore, the effort in hearing increased with the increase in job demand, job control, social support, and career satisfaction. The working hours per week increased with the increase in age, education level, job demand, job control, and social support. Different trends were observed in 9 out of 12 variables while comparing the data from the present study with that obtained from the hearing-impaired workers of the Netherlands, indicating a large difference between countries. Conclusions: Although the hearing-impaired Korean workers operate diligently with good job positions, it is necessary to enhance their acoustic environment and provide them social support. Considering the cultural background of the hearing-impaired workers, the development of suitable vocational rehabilitation programs and specific questionnaires is strongly recommended worldwide.
