In this paper, we studied on the characteristics of RCD(Residual Current Device) case deteriorated by tracking, and compared the tracked samples between in the site of fire($S_1$) and in the reappearance experiment($E_1$). This experiment is applied to IEC Publ. 112 method. Electrical fire by tracking occurred after scintillation and dry-band generated. The insulation resistance between source terminals of RCD case was about 25.7Ω in $E_1$ and the resistance was about 58.6Ω in $S_1$.The exothermic peaks of $E_1$ appeared at $491.0^{\circ}C$ and $603.2^{\circ}C$. The exothermic peak at $603.2^{\circ}C$ was shown by tracking. And the exothermic peak of $S_1$ appeared at $593.1^{\circ}C$. In spectrum of $S_1$ and $E_1$, absorption peak didn't appear at near 1590 cm$^{-1}$ .
The a-C : H films have been grown on the glass substrate by PECVD method, where plasma was generated with a 60 Hz line power source. The growth rate of films is found to be dependent of the partial pressure of $C_2H_2$. This growth rate is a little higher than that in which $CH_4$ instead of $C_2H_2$ is used. The transmittance is also much higher(95%). The optical energy gap of films is in the range of 1.4~1.8eV depending on the partial pressure of $C_2H_2$. However, this energy gap, which is 1.8eV, is found to be independent of the partial pressure of $C_2H_2$ for the thick films above $2000{\AA}$. The carbonization is checked from peak intensities of D ($sp^3$) and G($sp^2$) peaks in Roman spectra. The hydronization and C-H bonding status in films can also be determined from FTIR results. Both the bonding strength of C-H and the ratio of $sp^3$ to $sp^2$ in bonding are found to be slightly dependent of partial pressure of $C_2H_2$. Judging from above results, we can conclude that the best value for partial pressure of $C_2H_2$ in growing process of thick films is about 13.8%.

In this study, we were clearly identify the behaviour characteristics on particle size distribution of a condensing species by injection condition of HMDS (Hexa Methyl Di-Silazane, silica precursor that is one of liquid adsorbents) to remove condensing gaseous species as using pyroligneous liquor generated during carbonization process of biomass as precursor of condensing gaseous species. When using HMDS to remove the condensing gaseous species by growth machanism of particles, we could be controlled properly particles size such as amount of adsorbent injection, residence time, heating temperature and MFC flux. Especially, in case of using the silica precursor, in consideration of the physical and chemical properties of the boiling point, the specific gravity and the molecular weight, we found that the condensing species could be effectively controlled by particles granulation.
This study was designed to provide basic data applicable to fire investigation through consideration of combustion products and propose vulnerability of combustibles through analysis of $CO_2$ emission. In order to achieve these research objectives, characteristics of combustion products such as smoke release rate of each part(raw leaves, branches and barks), $CO_2$ emission and ash production were considered targeting on 6 oak species(Quercus variabilis Blume, Quercus aliena Blume, Quercus serrata, Quercus mongolica Fisch, Quercus dentata Sapling and Quercus acutissima) using cone calorimeter and smoke density tester. As a result, it was found that raw leaves release smoke more relatively than branches and barks, when they burn, and that Quercus variabilis Blume has the highest smoke density. Also, Quercus acutissima released CO and $CO_2$ which are respectively, 6.67 times and 1.43 times more than Quercus variabilis Blume with low $CO_2$ emission. In addition, branches released CO and $CO_2$ more relatively. There was a big difference in ash production among raw leaves(3.1 g), branches(10.5 g) and barks(16.43 g). It was identified that Quercus serrata produces ashes which are nearly 9.95 times more than Quercus variabilis Blume. It demonstrates that Quercus serrata contains relatively higher minerals and that Quercus variabilis Blume can leave lots of traces like stain and carbonization, as it releases smoke a lot and it's difficult to predict visibility, when a forest fire breaks out in its community area. It is also considered that smoke particles containing oil in the air leave strain on the surface of a tree, and that CO and $CO_2$ emission increases, when crown fire to burn branches breaks out.
Commercialized carbon fiber obtained from polyacrylonitrile(PAN) precursor is subjected to oxidation stabilization at 180 to 300℃ in air atmosphere and carbonization process at 1600℃ or lower in inert gas atmosphere. Both of these processes use a lot of time and high energy, but are essential and important for producing high-performance carbon fibers. Therefore, in recent years, an alternative stabilization technology by being assisted with various other energy sources such as plasma, electron beam and microwave which can shorten the process time and lower energy consumption has been studied. In this study, the PAN precursor was stabilized by using plasma treatment and heat treatment continuously. The morphology, structural changes, thermal and physical properties were analyzed using Field emission scanning electron microscopy(FE-SEM), X-ray diffraction(XRD), Fourier transform infrared(FT-IR), Thermogravimetric analysis(TGA) and Favimat.
In this study, carbon aerogels (CA) were prepared by sol-gel polycondensation of resorcinol and furfural in isopropanol using hexamethylenetetramine as a catalyst, and then directly drying the organic gels under isopropanol freeze-drying conditions, followed by carbonization under a nitrogen atmosphere. The preparation conditions of the CA were explored by changing the mole ratio of resorcinol to furfural. The effect of the preparation conditions on the pore structure of the CA was studied by nitrogen adsorption isotherms. The characteristics of the CA were studied by scanning and transition electron microscopy, and infrared spectrometry. The accessibility of pores and performance of the CA as an electrode in electric double layer capacitors were also electrochemically investigated. As a result, BET surface area and specific capacitance increased with the molar ratio of resorcinol to catalyst (R/C) ratio; the maximum values of 765 ㎡/g and 132 F/g were achieved at the R/C ratio of 200, respectively. Consequently, it was confirmed that increasing the R/C ratio increased the average pore size of the CA electrode, which improved the rate capability of the system.
To realize the traceability of sustainable textile products, this study presents a low-carbon process through energy savings in the textile material manufacturing process. Traceability is becoming an important element of Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), which confirms the eco-friendliness of textile products as well as supply chain information. Textile products with complex manufacturing processes require traceability of each step of the process to calculate carbon emissions and power usage. Additionally, an understanding of the characteristics of the product planning-manufacturing-distribution process and an overall understanding of carbon emissions sources are required. Energy use in the textile material manufacturing stage produces the largest amount of carbon dioxide, and the amount of carbon emitted from processes such as dyeing, weaving and knitting can be calculated. Energy saving methods include efficiency improvement and energy recycling, and carbon dioxide emissions can be reduced through waste heat recovery, sensor-based smart systems, and replacement of old facilities. In the dyeing process, which uses a considerable amount of heat energy, LNG, steam can be saved by using "heat exchangers," "condensate management traps," and "tenter exhaust fan controllers." In weaving and knitting processes, which use a considerable amount of electrical energy, about 10- 20% of energy can be saved by using old compressors and motors.

Characteristics of carbonized biomass obtained from a Wood charcoal briquette manufacturing process using an open hearth kiln are analyzed in this research, and differences in the characteristics based on the results of a mechanical screening process and the position within the kiln. One type of biomass and five types of carbonized biomass were collected from a Wood charcoal briquette manufacturer. After screening and grinding processes were performed on samples of 1 type of biomass and 5 types of carbonized biomass extracted from a Wood charcoal briquettes manufacturer to classify by particle size, fixed carbon, ash, volatile matters, elemental composition, and high heating value (HHV) were measured. Experimental results showed that the carbonized biomass collected from the middle layer had the highest HHV, 20.4 MJ/kg, and therefore had the highest fuel quality. In terms of particle size, the carbonized biomass below 100 mesh had the lowest ash content and the highest HHV, carbon content, and fixed carbon content. Correlation analyses showed that ash content had negative correlations with HHV, volatile matters, fixed carbon, and carbon content, which suggested that ash content affected negatively on fuel quality.

Poly-acrylonitrile (PAN) based carbon fibers were stabilized under various tensions in the presence of air at about $200^{\circ}C$ and sequentially carbonized under some different gas environments in the range of 700 to $1500^{\circ}C$. The prepared carbon fibers were used for rechargeable lithium ion battery anode to investigate preparation parameters effects on electrochemical characteristics. It was found that the tension during stabilization, carbonization temperature and gas atmospheres affect the carbon fiber properties such as conductivity, mechanical strength, surface morphology and diffusion coefficient of lithium ion, which are closely related to the on electrolchemical properties as well as the charge/discharge characteristics.

In order to improve the anaerobic digestion efficiency of the sewage sludge, the methane potential of the hydrolysate generated from the hydro-thermal reaction at 170, 180, 190, 200, 210, $220^{\circ}C$ was analyzed and the constitutional characteristics of the organic materials were estimated by dividing organic materials of hydro-thermal hydrolysate into easily biodegradable, decomposition resistant, and non-biodegradable organic materials applying the parallel first order kinetics model. The ultimate methane potential of sewage sludge hydro-thermal hydrolysate increased to 0.39, 0.39, 0.40, 0.44, 0.45, and $0.46Nm^3/kg-VS_{added}$ as hydro-thermal reaction temperature increased from 170, 180, 190, 200, 210, $220^{\circ}C$. It has been shown that the organic matter of sewage sludge is solubilized to increase the content of biodegradable organic material($VS_B$). The easily degradable organic matter($VS_e$) content was highest at hydro-thermal reaction temperature of 200 and $210^{\circ}C$, and optimum hydro-thermal reaction temperature for organic matter solubilization of sewage sludge was in the range of $200{\sim}210^{\circ}C$. In addition, the amount of biodegradable organic material($VS_B$) and easily biodegradable organic matter ($VS_e$) in the hydrolysate of sewage sludge was the highest at hydro-thermal reaction temperature of $200^{\circ}C$.
