용해도 이론의 여러가지 계에 대한 적용 (Further Applications of the Solubility Theory to Various Systems)

  • The theory of solubility proposed by Jhon and Kihara has been tested and applied to various systems. In the present paper, the systems are the solubilities of gases such as $Ar,\;H_2,\;N_2,\;O_2,\;CO_2,\;CH_4,\;and\;C_2H_6$ in liquid benzene and carbon disulfide, those of solids iodine and naphthalene in the nonaqueous solvents, and those of gases $H_2,\;N_2,\;O_2,\;Ar,\;CH_4,\;and\;C_2H_4$ in the electrolyte solutions. The theoretical values of solubilities are in good agreement with the experimental data in the literature.

  • Styrene-divinylbenzene 공중합체를 이황화탄소 용매 속에서 무수염화알루미늄과 반응시켜 염화알루미늄${\cdot}$고분자촉매를 합성하여 이들의 형태를 광학현미경, 주사전자현미경으로 조사하고 원자흡광 및 electron microprobe X-선으로 분석하였다. 각종 유기산과 지방족 및 방향족 알코올과의 에스테르화반응에서 염화알루미늄${\cdot}$고분자촉매의 효과에 관하여 연구하였다.

Cabbage 와 Broccoli 의 저장중 품질유지에 미치는 포장환경의 영향 (Effects of Package Environment on Keeping Quality during Storage in Cabbage and Broccoli)

  • Effects on keeping quality according to the different package environment in cabbage and brccoli were studied. Opened 2 mil LDPE (low density polyethylene) sealed 4 mil LDPE and BA(barrier polyethylene) were used as package films. Weight loss was markedly in opened 2 mil LDPE in cabbage and broccoli as 6 and 28%, respectively. Carbon dioxide was higher in seal-packaging cabbage and broccoli with BA held at 4 $^{\circ}C$ was above 15 and 31% within 15 days, respectively, while oxygen content was depleted to 2% or less after 10 days. The main difference between volatile sulfur-containing compounds produced from cabbage and broccoli were the relative quantities and rates of production of hydrogen sulfide, carbonyl sulfide, methanethiol and dimethyl disulfide in opened 2 mil LDPE , sealed 4 mil LDPE and barrier bags during storage.

Isothiocyanate 유도체의 Prodrug를 위한 합성 연구 (Studies on the Synthesis of Bis-dithiocarbamates as Prodrugs of Isothiocyanates)

  • In an attempt to design prodrugs for the Derivatives of the Isothiocyanates R-N=C=S were synthesized eleven novel bis-dithiocarbamates. The best way of preparing the dithiocarbamates was the formation of the dithiocarbonates followed by the reaction of the dithiocarbonates with amines. Thus, the treatment of the diols with carbon disulfide in the presense of potassium hydroxide afforded the potassium salts of the ditniocarbonic acids. The potassium salts were then reacted with alkyl halides to give the dithiocarbonates, which upon treatment with amines produces the dithiocarbamates. In case of vicinal diol (n=o in the above formula), only one of the hydroxy groups was reacted to give the mono-dithiocarbonate. The dithiocarbonates failed to react with amides and aromatic amines. Dithiocarbonates of the different types were obtained when the active double bonds, such as $CH_{2}=CH-Z$ , (Z are electron withdrawing groups), were allowed to react with the free dithiocarbonic acids produced in situ by carefully neutralizing the Potassium salts of the corresponding acids. These compounds are considered to be of some value as prodrugs for the active double bonds.

  • 디에탄올아민 디티오카바메이트는 염화디스클로로비스에틸렌디아민)코발트(III)와 반응하여 [$Co(dtc)_3$](dtc=디에탄올아민 디티오카바메이트)를 생성한다. 이때 두 황원자는 코발트에 배위된다. 이 착물은 아세톤에 어느 정도 녹으나 이황산산소와 같은 비극성 용매에는 거의 녹지 않았다. 디에탄올아민 디티오카바메이트와 염화디스클로로비스에틸렌디아민)코발트(III)의 반응속도를 측정하고 이들 결과에서 얻어진 활성화 파라미터에서부터 가능한 메카니즘을 제시하고자 한다.

  • A new and facile protocol for the synthesis of dithiocarabamate in EtOH/$H_2O$ is described. Reaction of aromatic and aliphatic amines with $CS_2$ and 3,4-dihydro-2H-pyran in the presence of N,N,N',N'-tetrabromobenzene-1,3-disulfonamide [TBBDA] and poly(N-bromo-N-ethylbenzene-1,3-disulfonamide) [PBBS] gives the corresponding dithiocarbamates in good to high yields.

  • Improvement of the photovoltaic efficiency via exposure of organic solar cells to solvent-vapor at room temperature is reported. Carbon disulfide ($CS_2$) vapor treatment can induce Poly(3-hexylthiophene) (P3HT) self-organization into ordered structure leading to enhanced hole transport and light absorption. The power conversion efficiency (PCE) of the organic solar cells can be increased from 0.89 to 1.67% by solvent-vapor treatment.

주조작업장 공기 중 벤젠의 정량 (Determination of Benzene in the Casting Process by GC-MS and GC)

  • This article describes identification and quantification of benzene in the casting process. Air samples around the casting process were taken by using personal air sampler attached charcoal tube and desorbed by carbon disulfide. The identification and quantitative analysis of benzene have been performed by GC-MS and GC-FID. Calibration range of standard solutions for benzene was prepared in range from 0.1 to 2 times of TLVs concentrations($1.4{\sim}28{\mu}g/1m{\ell}$ CS2) and the limit of detection was $0.11{\pm}0.002{\mu}g/1m{\ell}$ CS2. Benzene detected in airborne was ranged in 4.0ppb~104.7ppb.

  • 7-Dithiocarboxy-3-phenyl-5,6-dihydro imidazo[2,1-b]thiazolium-betaine (2) was prepared by treatment of 3-phenyl-5,6-dihydro imidazo[2,1-b]thiazole (1) with carbon disulfide in acetone at room temperature. On the reaction of 2 with para-substituted phenacyl bromides (4) having the electron withdrawing property by virtue of (+) resonance (R) < (-) inductive (I) or (-) resonance (R), (-) inductive (I) effect, ring transformation product p-substituted-2-[2-[7-(p-substituted benzoyl)-5-thioxo-2,3-dihydro-1H-imidazo[1,2-c] thiazol-1-yl]-2-phenylvinylthio] acetophenone (6) was obtained; however, when R is electron donating grops with (+) resonance (R) > (-) inductive (I) effect the quarternary ammonium salt 7-(p-substituted phenyl) carbonyl methyl-3-phenyl-5,6-dihydro imidazo [2,1-b] thiazolium bromide (8) is formed. The reaction of 2 with unsubstituted-phenacyl bromide (R = H), on the other hand, gives 6a and 8a to the similar ratio, respectively.

Wear Characteristics and Thermal Stability of PA66/silane treated MoS2 Composites

  • We functionalized a wear-resistant carbon-based MoS2 filler to solve its limited wear condition problem. The filler exhibits excellent lubricative properties. The surface modification of MoS2 was carried out using a (3-glycidyloxypropyl)trimethoxysilane (GPTMS) silane coupling agent to improve the low compatibility and dispersibility of the filler that generally degrade the performance of composites. A silane coupling agent was employed for the functionalization of MoS2, and its effect on the wear resistance of MoS2/Polyamide-6,6 was investigated. The silanization of MoS2 was identified by contact angle analysis and Fourier-transform infrared, energy dispersive X-ray, and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopies. The wear resistance of the composite was found to be improved significantly by the surface functionalization of MoS2.
