In order to explore the effects of the solvent on the formation rate of polyynes, we investigated the absorption spectra of polyynes obtained by laser ablation of a graphite target in different solvents at 1064 nm. Polyynes so produced were confirmed by the Raman band around $2200cm^{-1}$ which corresponds to the carbon triple bonds. The production of polyynes by laser ablation turned out to be significantly affected by the ratio of the hydrogen and carbon atoms in the solvent molecule. No clear correlations were observed in the formation of polyynes for other properties of the solvent such bond dissociation energy, thermal conductivity, and total mass of hydrogen atoms per volume of solvent.

Radon has been considered the greatest source of exposure within the total radiation exposure of the human body. xposure from radon, which exists in indoor air quality, lacks public perception, Radon, which exists anywhere on earth, is not regarded as a state of attention even if it is above the average level. Indoor radon exposure situations are not intentionally introduced, and essentially the attention and responsibilities of radon exposures are assumed to be in indoor occupants. So, these are caused by common uranium and thorium scattering on Earth, and are brought into the building by fine cracks or exposed indicators of the buildings. Therefore, this study aims to reduce the risk of radon rays and reduce radon, which induces diseases caused by breathing in the body of indoor air pollutants and emitting diseases by emitting alpha rays from the radon gas.
The composite materials are widely used in the many applications of industry as well as aerospace field because of their high specific stiffness and strength which benefits the material and provides potential energy savings. However, composite materials also have a low property about external applied impact. In this paper, impact tests were conducted on different sample types(glass, carbon and kevlar composite) to obtain information such as absorbed energy and composite deformation using an instrumented impact test machine (DYNATUP 8250). 3 type samples were compared to experimental results. The data from impact test provided valuable information between the different type samples by wet lay up. This paper shows results of that kevlar composite has larger absorption energy and deformation than others.

Change in light transmission characteristics caused by various types of oil contaminations was experimentally measured with a built-in type wear monitoring device. Three kinds of iron powders of different size distribution, carbon dust, two kinds of solutions and grease were used for the lest contaminants in this work. Light intensity of the transmitted light was treasured with the contamination level. Results showed that the transmitted light intensity decreased linearly with the contamination concentration in the oil and the slope was affected by the size distribution. Light attenuation was also caused greatly by carbon dust, water contamination and polymeric fibers mainly due to the light absorption. As a result, it was proved that the optical measurement device could be applicable effectively for detecting any significant change iii lubricating oils.

This study is to investigate experimentally relationships between the impact energy and moisture absorption characteristies vs.the residual bending strength with the variation of stacking seqences. When Carbon-fiber reinforced plastics(CFRP) impact-induced laminates are subjected to the high temperatures and hygrothermal effects, it is found that what CFRP laminates are impacted by a steel ball (5 mm in diametar) ; thus, the generated delamination is observed by the ultrasonic microscope. And the residual bending strength is evaluated by a three-point bending test. Also, a thermostat is used in test with the unimpacted and impacted specimens for the moisture experimentaiton. The percision electro lever scles is used to measure the moisture content(1/10, 000g).
Triethylsilyl radical was generated by laser flash photolysis of a 1:1 (v/v)solution of triethylsliance and di-tert-butyl peroxide. The silicon centered radical was reacted with sulfides to give carbon centered radicals by displacement at sulfar. The carbon radicals were readily detected by their transient absorption spectra. The absolute rate of reaction of triethylsilyl radical with 9-fluorenylphenylsulfide, di-n-butylsulfide, di-sec-butyl, di-tert-butyl sulfide and di-n-butyl disulfide are $2.40{\pm}0.12{\times}10^8M^{-1}s^{-1}$, $11.21{\pm}0.89{\times}10^6M^{-1}s^{-1}$, $8.79{\pm}0.73{\times}10^6M^{-1}s^{-1}$, $3.29{\pm}0.18{\times}10^6M^{-1}s^{-1}$, and $3.41{\pm}0.09{\times}10^8M^{-1}s^{-1}$, respectively.
In the field of the $CO_2$ absorption process using aqueous ammonia, the effects of regeneration pressure and temperature on $CO_2$ absorption performances of the aqueous ammonia were investigated. The absorbents were prepared by dissolving ammonium carbonate solid in water to grant the resulted solution 0.5 $CO_2$ loading ($mol\;CO_2/mol\;NH_3$) and various ammonia concentration (14, 20, 26 and 32 wt%). As-prepared absorbents were regenerated at high pressure and temperature (over $120^{\circ}C$ and 6 bar) before the absorption test. The absorption test was carried out by injecting the simulated gas that contains 12 vol% of $CO_2$ into a bubbling reactor. The introduction of 26 wt% of the ammonia concentration for $CO_2$ absorption test resulted in the higher absorption capacities than other experimental conditions. In particular, when the absorbents with 26 wt% of the ammonia were regenerated at $150^{\circ}C$ and 14 bar, the highest absorption capacity, $45ml\;CO_2/g$, was obtained. According to the analysis of absorbents using acid-base titration, the ammonia loss during the regeneration of the absorbents with a fixed ammonia concentration decreased as the regeneration pressure increased, while it increased as the regeneration temperature increased. In the condition of fixed regeneration pressure and temperature, as expected, the ammonia loss increased as the ammonia concentration increased. The measured $CO_2$ loadings and ammonia concentrations of absorbents were compared to the values calculated by Electrolyte NRTL model in Aspen Plus.
Daily PM2.5 was collected during summer period in 2020 in Gwangju to investigate its chemical and light absorption properties. In addition, real-time light absorption coefficients were observed using a dual-spot 7-wavelength aethalometer. During the study period, SO42- was the most important contributor to PM2.5, accounting for on average 33% (10-64%) of PM2.5. The chemical form of SO42- was appeared to be combination of 70% (NH4)2SO4 and 30% NH4HSO4. Concentration-weighted trajectory (CWT) analysis indicated that SO42- particles were dominated by local pollution, rather than regional transport from China. A combination of aethalometer-based and water-extracted brown carbon (BrC) absorption indicated that light absorption of BrC due to aerosol particles was 1.6 times higher than that due to water-soluble BrC, but the opposite result was found in absorption Ångström exponent (AAE) values. Lower AAE value by aerosol BrC particles was due to the light absorption of aerosol BrC by both water-soluble and insoluble organic aerosols. The BrC light absorption was also influenced by both primary sources (e.g., traffic and biomass burning emissions) and secondary organic aerosol formation. Finally the ATR-FTIR analysis confirmed the presence of NH4+, C-H groups, SO42-, and HSO42-. The presence of HSO42- supports the result of the estimated composition ratio of inorganic sulfate ((NH4)2SO4) and bisulfate (NH4HSO4).
Comparison of Organic carbon in the Quercus mongolica and Pinus densiflora forest at Mt. Gumgang were investigated. Carbon in above and below ground standing biomass, litter layer, and soil organic carbon were measured from September 2013 through August 2014. For the estimation of carbon cycling, soil respiration was measured. The amount of carbon allocated to above and below ground biomass in Q. mongolica and P. densiflora forest was 115.07/34.36, $28.77/8.59ton\;C\;ha^{-1}$, respectively. Amount of organic carbon in annual litterfall in Q. mongolica and P. densiflora forest was 4.89, $6.02ton\;C\;ha^{-1}$, respectively. Amount of organic carbon within 50cm soil depth was 132.78, $59.72ton\;C\;ha^{-1}$$50cm-depth^{-1}$, respectively. Total amount of organic carbon in Q. mongolica and P. densiflora forest estimated to 281.52, $108.69ton\;C\;ha^{-1}$, respectively. Amount of organic carbon returned to the forest via litterfall in Q. mongolica and P. densiflora forest was 2.83, $2.20ton\;C\;ha^{-1}$, respectively. The amount of organic carbon absorbed from the atmosphere of this Q. mongolica and P. densiflora forest was 3.90, $0.81ton\;C\;ha^{-1}yr^{-1}$ respectively. Absorption of organic carbon in Q. mongolica forest was remarkably higher than P. densiflora forest.
Enzymatic synthesis of sugar fatty acid esters was investigated in organic solvent using Candida rugosa lipase. To overcome sugars insolubility in organic solvent, sugar absorption procedure was done on a silica gel. The product yield was determined by using ion Chromatography, with various factors such as reaction time, enzyme fatty acid molar ratio, number of carbon in fatty acid.
