  • As needs for substitution of excessive road-oriented transport by the railroad increase, we proposed the guideline for development of the high speed freight car up to 150km/h through analyzing the critical speed of welded-type freight car employed and investigating the improvement in its maintenance. This study, the proper design parameters of conical rubber spring was determined to meet the vibration performance.

  • This paper proposes an algorithm to improve the anti-theft function of the CAR_AV using the CAN(Controller Area Network) communication between CAR AV and cluster. Compare to the typical anti-theft algorithms like security code entering, the proposed one is more secure in most cases. The proposed algorithm is suitable for the recent automobile that employ the CAN network as the communication channel between their devices.

Kano 모델을 이용한 자동차 시트 조절기능에 대한 고객인식 연구 (Evaluating Customer Perceptions of Car Seats' Functions Using the Kano Model)

  • Purpose: Car seats affect customer satisfaction greatly when the seats' design is changed because car holders are in close contact with the seats. However, the improvement of the current seats' design involves risks such as investment cost, and therefore it needs strategic operating measures from the perspective of customers. Until now, operations of seats' specification have been decided by technical-push rather than market-pull, and carried out based on professionals' experience without measuring customer satisfaction correctly. The purpose of this study is to present a systematic approach to measure customers' perception on the car seats using the Kano model and pairwise comparison technique. Methods: The authors derive 17 major functions of a car seat by analyzing major components of car seats, and conduct a survey of 141 adults who hold a car(s). Results: The results show that consumers perceive the adjustable functions of front seats as must-be while the same functions for rear seats are perceived as attractive. In particular, motor operated functions for both front and rear seats increase customer satisfaction greatly if they are presented. Conclusion: This study shows that how much customer (dis)satisfaction will increase if a function of car seats (non)fulfilled, and therefore, the results of this study will provide practitioners and R&D personnel in new automobile seats development projects with useful information.

SOM 알고리즘을 이용한 차량 번호판 인식과 주차 관리 시스템 개발 (Recognition of Car Plate using SOM Algorithm and Development of Parking Control System)

  • 본 논문은 SOM 알고리즘을 이용한 차량 번호판 인식 방법을 제안하고 차량 번호판 인식을 이용한 주차관리 시스템 개발에 대해서 기술한다. 차량 영상에서 번호판 영역을 추출하기 위해 수평$.$수직 에지의 형태학적 정보를 이용하고, 추출된 번호판에서 문자를 포함하는 특징 영역을 추출하기 위해 4 방향 윤곽선 추적 알고리즘을 이용한다. 추출된 특징 영역의 인식은 SOM 알고리즘을 적용한다. 50개의 실제 차량 영상을 실험한 결과, 제안된 번호판 영역 추출 방법이 기존의 RGB 정보를 이용한 방법과 HSI를 이용한 방법보다 추출율이 개선되었다. 그리고 SOM 알고리즘을 이용한 차량 번호판 인식이 효율적인 것을 확인하였다. 실험을 통하여 성능 향상을 보인 제안된 차량 번호판 인식 방법을 이용하여 주차 관리 시스템을 개발하였다.

AEB 시험평가 방법에 관한 연구 (A Study on Evaluation Method of AEB Test)

  • Currently, sharp increase of car is on the rise as a serious social problem due to loss of lives from car accident and environmental pollution. There is a study on ITS (Intelligent Transportation System) to seek coping measures. As for the commercialization of ITS, we aim for occupancy of world market through ASV (Advanced Safety Vehicle) related system development and international standardization. However, the domestic environment is very insufficient. Core factor technologies of ITS are Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Keeping Assist System, Forward Collision Warning System, AEB (Autonomous Emergency Braking) system etc. These technologies are applied to cars to support driving of a driver. AEB system is stop the car automatically based on the result decided by the relative speed and distance with obstacle detected through sensor attached on car rather than depending on the driver. The purpose of AEB system is to measure the distance and speed of car and to prevent accident. Thus, AEB will be a system useful for prevention of accident by decreasing car accident along with the development of automobile technology. This study suggests a scenario to suggest a test evaluation method that accords with domestic environment and active response of international standard regarding the test evaluation method of AEB. Also, by setting the goal with function for distance, it suggests theoretic model according to the result. And the study aims to verify the theoretic evaluation standard per proposed scenario using car which is installed with AEB device through field car driving test on test road. It will be useful to utilize the suggested scenario and theoretical model when conducting AEB test evaluation.

차량공유 서비스에 대한 지각된 가치와 이용의향에 관한 연구 : 서울시 나눔카 서비스 이용자를 중심으로 (A Study of Perceived Value and Intention to Use for Car Sharing Service : Based on User Experiences Serviced by Seoul Car Sharing)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 차량공유(Car sharing)서비스에 대한 이용자들의 서비스 수용과정을 실증적으로 분석함으로써 공유경제의 사회적 확산과 건전하고 지속가능한 공유경제 정책수립의 시사점을 제시하는데 있다. 공유경제의 세계적 관심과 확산 속에 국내에서도 유무형의 유휴자원을 공유하는 다양한 서비스 모델들이 출시되고 있다. 특히, 차량공유서비스의 경우 도심을 중심으로 한 대안적 교통체계에 대한 높은 수요와 더불어 서울을 포함한 여러 지자체에서 민-관협력 사업이 추진되며 빠르게 확산되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 서울시가 "공유도시 서울"정책의 일환으로 지난 2013년부터 추진 중인 차량공유 서비스 '나눔카' 이용자들을 대상으로 차량공유서비스 수용과정에 대한 실증적 연구를 통해 향후 서비스 개선 및 확산에 대한 산업적 시사점 뿐 아니라, 수요자 중심 정책 수립을 위한 시사점을 탐구하고자 한다. 서울시에 거주하는 나눔카 이용경험자들 중 주이용 연령대인 20대 이용자 281명을 대상으로 한 설문조사를 실시하였으며, 이들 이용자가 차량공유서비스에 대해 인지하는 가치와 이용의향의 관계를 구조적으로 분석하였다. 분석결과 차량공유서비스를 이용하기 위한 '비용'적 측면과 '효용'적 측면 모두 차량공유서비스에 대해 소비자가 지각하는 가치 형성에 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 아울러 이런 선행 요인들은 소비자의 지각된 가치를 매개로 서비스 이용결정에 직간접적으로 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 특히, 차량공유서비스에 대한 이용자의 지각된 가치를 형성하는데 있어, 서비스 사용과정에서의 기술적 사용 용이성이 가장 큰 영향을 미치는 요인으로 분석됨에 따라 사용자 중심의 직관적 UI와 전통적 렌탈서비스와는 차별화된 사용자 경험을 제공할 수 있는 플랫폼 전략이 서비스 성공을 위한 중요한 전략이라고 사료된다. 이러한 연구 결과는 차량공유서비스 뿐 아니라 전반적인 공유경제 모델이 사회로 확산되고 활성화 되는데 수요자 관점의 중요한 시사점을 제시할 것으로 기대된다.

골프카 디자인개발을 위한 연구 (A Study on the fundamentals of design developments for the golf car)

  • 점차 대중화의 추세로 나아가는 골프인구의 증가와 함께 골프카의 수요가 증대되고 있다. 그러나 국내의 골프카 산업은 이러한 시장의 니즈에 적절하게 대응할 만큼 성숙되어 있지못한 상태에 있다. 국내시장의 수요는 대부분 고가의 수입 골프카가 담당하고 있으며 애프터 서비스의 불리함과 부품가격에 있어서도 역시 고가임에도 불구하고 점점 그 수요의 폭이 상승하는 추세이다. 우리나라는 자동차 산업의 기반여건이 제대로 갖추어져 있으므로 골프카 부문에 있어서도 경쟁력 있는 한국형 고유모델을 개발하기에 적절한 시기에 도달하였다고 판단된다. 이에 본 연구를 통하여 국내외 골프카 산업의 현황과 경쟁이 예상되는 골프카를 분석하고 국내여건에 적합하며 향후 해외시장에서도 경쟁력을 갖출 수 있는 고유모델의 디자인개발을 위한 전제조건들을 도출하고자 한다.

자동차 페인트 도장공에 있어서 컴퓨터를 이용한 신경행동검사 수행기능의 평가 (Effect on Computerized Neurobehavioral Test Performance of the Car Painters Exposed to Organic Solvents)

  • A cross-sectional study was performed to evaluate the effects of chronic low-dose solvent on neurobehavioral performance of 118 male car painters. A control group of 113 workers matched for age was selected from different sections of the factory. The mean age and the mean duration of employment were 33 years and 6.7 years in both groups. Mean years of education were 11.4 years in car painters and 11.8 years in controls. Each worker completed a medical and occupational questionnaire and four tests of Swedish performance evaluation system. These included simple reaction time, symbol digit, digit span and finger tapping speed. Althougth the mean duration of employment was 6.7 years, comparison of mean performance showed a significantly poorer performance on simple reaction time (p<0.05), symbol digit(p<0.01) and digit span(p<0.05) in car painters. In univariate analysis, age and educational level contributed to poorer performance on symbol digit and digit span. Smoking appeared to slow finger tapping speed in car painters. Performance of four tests of car painters exposed to high level of solvent was poorer than that of car painters exposed to low level. In multiple regression models, controlling for age, alcohol, smoking and shift work, solvent exposure was found to be associated with performance of simple reaction time, symbol digit and digit span and exposure to high level of solvent was related to poorer performance of symbol digit and digit span.

산업용 로봇을 이용한 3차원 차체측정 시스템 (Three Dimension Car Body Measuring System Using Industrial Robots)

  • Inspecting the dimensional accuracy of a car-body in assembly line is a very important process to assure high productivity. Now there exist two common inspecting methods in practice. One is to measure a sampled car-body with three dimensional measuring machine, and the other is to measure car-body with three dimensional measuring machine, and the other is to measure car-body in assembly line using many sensors fixed to a large jig frame. The formal method takes too long to inspect a sampled car-body of a same sort, and cannot therefore give an useful error trend for the whole production. On the other hand, the latter lacks flexibility and is very cost-intensive. By using industrial robots and sensors, an in-line Car-Body Measuring(CBM) system which ensured high flexiblity and sufficient accuracy was developed. This CBM cell operates in real production line and measures the check points by the non-contact type using camera and laser displacement sensor(LDS). This system can handle about 15 Measuring points within a cycle time of 40 seconds. A process computer controls whole process such as data acquisition file handling and data analysis. Robot arms changes in length due to ambient temperature fluctuation affecting the measuring accuracy. To compensate this error, a robot arm calibration process was developed.

Carvacrol improves blood lipid and glucose in rats with type 2 diabetes mellitus by regulating short-chain fatty acids and the GPR41/43 pathway

  • Type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) is characterized by hyperglycemia and dyslipidemia. Carvacrol (CAR) has demonstrated the potential to mitigate dyslipidemia. This study aims to investigate whether CAR can modulate blood glucose and lipid levels in a T2DM rat model by regulating short-chain fatty acids (SCFAs) and the GPR41/43 pathway. The T2DM rat model was induced by a high-fat diet combined with low-dose streptozocin injection and treated with oral CAR and/or mixed antibiotics. Fasting blood glucose, oral glucose tolerance, and insulin tolerance tests were assessed. Serum lipid parameters, hepatic and renal function indicators, tissue morphology, and SCFAs were measured. In vitro, high glucose (HG)-induced IEC-6 cells were treated with CAR, and optimal CAR concentration was determined. HG-induced IEC-6 cells were treated with SCFAs or/and GPR41/43 agonists. CAR significantly reduced blood lipid and glucose levels, improved tissue damage, and increased SCFA levels in feces and GPR41/43 expression in colonic tissues of T2DM rats. CAR also attenuated HG-induced apoptosis of IEC-6 cells and enhanced GPR41/43 expression. Overall, these findings suggest that CAR alleviates blood lipid and glucose abnormalities in T2DM rats by modulating SCFAs and the GPR41/43 pathway.
