Cognitive-oriented Design of Automotive Instrument Panel (인지측면을 고려한 자동차 IP 설계)

  • The Design of automotive IP must be designed for improving safety, and for satisfying the consumer's preference and for enlarging the usability of various gauges and information displaydevices. Also, these objects become more important by regarded and will be treated very sensitively for the next-generation vehicle concepts. Therefore, Automotive IP must be designed to adjust these trends, besides accord with car-inner lifestyle. One of these concept's designs is to apply Human Sensibility Ergonomics. This study suggestes the driver-centered design of the IP components that focused on the audio unit and HVAC(Heat and Ventilation Air Conditioner) through cognitive experiment. Primarily, analyzed components of IP in use, then, combined these components (especially, the number and arry of buttons, the position of LCD panel, etc.) nd designed some sample images(prototypes) the same as real size. After the subjects looked at the sam ples at the interval of 0.2/0.4/0.6 seconds, subjects should fill out the given forms from their memory. Then, the optimal prototype of IP was designed in respect to the correctness of cognition. The results will show the basic guideline of optimal design of IP that in the case of aaudio unit, the position of LCD, the array and the number of channel, in the case of HVAC, the position of LCD, TEMP button type and other button types.

A Study on the Car Audio Sound Qualify Enhancement under Vehicle Noise (차량 주행소음을 고려한 자동차 오디오 음질 개선법 연구)

  • 자동차 오디오는 차량의 상품성에 큰 영향을 미치고 있다. 고급 차량일수륵 또한 젊은 층일수록 차량 구매시 선택의 기준이 되기도 한다 그러나 자동차 오디오는 크게 두가지 면에서 가정용 오디오와 차이가 있다. 첫번째는 청취공간이 매우 헙소하다는 것이고 둘째로는 주행시 차량소음이 차 실내로 유입되어 오디오 음질에 영향을 미친다. 차 실내는 즘은 공간 음향폭성으로 인한 음향 dip 현상이 발생하며 이는 오디오 음질의 왜곡을 가져오므로 이를 개선하기 위해서는 라우드스피커 최적배치 뿐 아니라 주행소음에 대한 시험 및 분석을 하여 오디오 음질에 영향을 주는 주파수 밴드를 파악하여야 한다 본 논문에서는 오디오 음에 차량소음이 섞인 경우에 대하여 차량의 라우드스피커 위치는 변경하지 않고 라우드스피커의 주파수 밴드별 출력을 디지털필터를 이용하여 수정하는 방법으로 음질 개선을 제안하였다. 디지털 필터의 보정치는 차량 주행소음 특성과 차 실내 음향특성을 고려하였다. 차량소음을 섞은 주파수 옥타브 밴드 분석법을 이용한 객관적인 분석과 감성적 분석법인 NCB곡선으로 차량소음을 분식하여 디지털 필터 보정치를 구하는데 사용하였다. 제안한 9가지 디지털 필터를 이용하여 차량소음과 음악을 합성하였고 이중에서 좋은 음질에 대한 판정을 하기 위해 Scheffe가 제안한 7점 주관 평가법을 사용하여 64명이 내린 주관평가를 수행하였다.

Study of Sound Quality Improvement for Car Audio System (자동차 오디오 시스템의 음질 개선 연구)

  • 본 논문은 차실내 음향 특성 개선 연구로 수행중이며 정상 상태 음향 응답 특성 시험을 통하여 차실내에서 운전자가 듣게되는 음장 특성을 알게 되었고, 라우드 스피커에 대한 음향 특성 시험으로 이러한 차실내 음장의 비평탄성은 라우드 스피커 자체의 문제가 아니라 차실 공간등이 요인에 의한 것이라는 것을 추론할 수 있었다. 배플 상태 및 차량에 장착된 상태하의 라우드 스피커에 대한 임피던스 시험 결과로 임피던스의 장착 부위의 후면 공간이 임피던스 특성 변화를 가져오게 하는 것을 알 수 있었다. 임피던스 시험 결과를 이용하여 라우드 스피커에 대한 모델 매개 변수를 규명할 수 있었고, 이를 이용한 라우드 스피커의 모델 개선이 가능하게 되었다. 또한, 시간 지연 분광법을 이용하여 차실내에서 음향 전파 과정 분석을 할 수 있었고, 이로 인해 운전자가 시간에 따라 다른 음향 응답 특성으로 듣게 되는 것을 알게 되어 향후 음질 개선 연구 수행에 이용될 수 있다. 이러한 방법으로 음이 진행함에 따라 부딪치는 반사면의 흡음 또는 반사 특성을 파악할 수도 있어서 흡음재의 선정 및 라우드 스피커의 장착 위치 및 각도를 선정하는데 이용될 수도 있다. 향후의 연구 방향은 어떠한 음향 패턴이 운전자가 좋은 음향이라고 느끼게 되는지를 규명하는 것, 즉 주관적 평가와 객관적 시험 데이터 사이의 연관성을 확립하는 것과 라우드 스피커 모델링 기법과 차실 공간의 음향 특성을 이용한 차실내 최적 음향 조건을 규명하는 것이 될 것이다.

  • Recently, a great attention has been paid to a car black box device in the automobile markets besides it provides an accident re-construction based on the data which contains audio, video, and some meaningful driving informations. Also, it is expected that the device will get to promote around public transit and the market will greatly grow within a few years. Thus, this research conducted of preference the influencing factors in decisions purchase of auto black box. Factors influencing in decisions purchase of black box was divided safety, functionality, differentiation, economics. Questionnaire survey was conducted to those who worked in black box company. This study suggests practical and theoretical implications of factors influencing in purchase decisions based on the results.

  • In this paper the demand and supply of labor are forecasted over the next 10 years for customized nurturing human resource focused on Manufacturing Industry in Chung-Nam Province. Despite that the industrial structure is rapidly changing, industrial labors are nurturing on the basis of past industrial structure. This research is conducted for reducing mismatched labors throughout forecasting human resources until 2020. As a practical approach, the BLS Methodology is partially utilized. And the previous researches and official statistics data are reviewed. In conclusion, this study presents that more human resources on Manufacturing Industry than other Industries will be needed in Chung-Nam province. In details, it shows that there will be required more Industrial labors for strategic industries for examples, Audio and Video related industry, and Car related industry which is propelling by overall local government. In additions, policy implications are developed by analyzing current status and forecasting the labor demand and supply in the Chung-Nam Manufacturing sector.

An Experimental Study of Reading Effect on the Imagination (상상력에 미치는 독서의 효과에 관한 실험적 연구; 특히 영상자료와의 비교를 중심으로)

  • The purpose of this study is (a)to identify reading effect on the imagination, and (b)to compare reading effect with audio-visual materials. For these purposes, 25 elementary school students and 11 university students participated in the reading project. The participants of this project painted a car and a beast after reading a book and watching a movie, Main findings and conclusions made in this study are summarised as follows : (1)Reading is better than a movie for the people's imagination. (2)Children can imagine much more freely than the adults. It is expected that these results can be used for the children's reading education and programs.

Text Mining-Based Analysis of Hyundai Automobile Consumer Satisfaction and Dissatisfaction Factors in the Chinese Market: A Comparison with Other Brands (텍스트 마이닝을 이용한 현대 자동차 중국시장 소비자의 만족 및 불만족 요인 분석 연구: 다른 브랜드와의 비교)

  • This study employed text mining techniques like frequency analysis, word clouds, and LDA topic modeling to assess consumer satisfaction and dissatisfaction with Hyundai Motor Company in the Chinese market, compared to brands such as Toyota, Volkswagen, Buick, and Geely. Focusing on compact vehicles from these brands between 2021 and 2023, this study analyzed customer reviews. The results indicated Hyundai Avante's positive factors, including a long wheelbase. However, it also highlighted dissatisfaction aspects like Manipulate, engine performance, trunk space, chassis and suspension, safety features, quantity and brand of audio speakers, music membership service, separation band, screen reflection, CarLife, and map services. Addressing these issues could significantly enhance Hyundai's competitiveness in the Chinese market. Previous studies mainly focused on literature research and surveys, which only revealed consumer perceptions limited to the variables set by the researchers. This study, through text mining and comparing various car brands, aims to gain a deeper understanding of market trends and consumer preferences, providing useful information for marketing strategies of Hyundai and other brands in the Chinese market.

  • This study considered the factor of the adoption of the satellite DMB. This study focus on the TV audience's demographic traits and media usage. The results are follows : 1) the elder-aged group, high-educated group and car driver group have high intention to be subscriber for the satellite DMB service. 2) the white collar group and the middle income group have high intention to be subscriber for the satellite DMB service. 3) the many media use group and the many function use of mobile phone group have high intention to be subscriber for the satellite DMB service. 4) the local TV audience like the entertainment genre in video and audio service and the information genre in data service 5) the local TV audience don't mind of the re-transmission territorial broadcasting by the satellite DMB service.

The CNS Responses of Elderly Driver due to Signal Types at the Intersection: Focused on Yellow Interval Dilemma Situation (교차로 상황에 따른 고령운전자의 중추신경계 반응: 황색신호 딜레마를 중심으로)

  • This study was to examine to the CNS(Central Nervous System) responses of elderly drivers at the green, yellow, and red signal types. To examine this result, the older adults over age 65 who has more than 5 years of driving experience participated this experiment. In addition, we used audio-visual film clips as the stimulus than driving simulator, because the CNS reponses are sensitive to movement such as steering wheel. While subjects were watching one car's driving among green, yellow, or red signal types at the intersection, we measured their EEG(electroencephalogram) using monopolar electrodes from Fz, Cz and Pz sites. As a result, relative sizes of beta waves were changed due to the signal type conditions, and pre- and post-time of entering the intersection at the measured sites, separately. It suggests that the elderly drivers' CNS responses were different by the signal types.

Digital Satellite Radio Broadcast Channel Information Search Process Method (Digital Satellite Radio 방송의 채널 정보 Searching 처리 Method에 관한 연구)

  • In this paper, we present a very useful method for updating digital satellite radio broadcast channel information. When a devices equipped with function to receive Digital Satellite Radio such as Home Theater, MP3 player, mobile phones, car audio system and various other types of Digital Devices, receives new Digital satellite radio (will be mentioned as XM radio onwards) broadcast channel information, only the current received XM radio broadcast channel and N number of pre/post nearby broadcast channels are scanned randomly in zigzag manner. Then the previous XM radio broadcast channel information updated with the newly received XM radio broadcast channel information. Since this method can prevent batch update for all XM radio channel, including some channels which less likely did not select by user, update process for real time frequently changed XM radio broadcast channel information can be performed efficiently with minimal or without delay.
