  • Intermediaries are presenting not only transactional information that orchestrates electronic transaction, but also market related information and knowledge useful for sellers' understanding of the market status. However, we do not have strong evidence that the market related information and knowledge is properly utilized by sellers and that it has an actual influence on sellers' performance. According to the research result, absorptive capacity and the pattern of information system utilization is statistically significant to sellers' performance mediated by operational efficiency and market knowledge creation. Especially, explorative utilization of information system and realized absorptive capacity has a stronger influence on sellers' performance mediated by market knowledge creation. With this research result, this study maintains that sellers are required to absorb and utilize market related information and knowledge more actively through explorative utilization of information system to achieve better performance in the e-marketplace. On the other hand, intermediaries are recommended to provide abundant and valuable market related information and knowledge for the sellers to build up better e-marketplaces.

  • Photovoltaic system construction of the module capacity in domestic is specified criteria to less than 105% of the inverter capacity. However, the modules are installed in the outdoor actual output is reduced due to factors such as the irradiation intensity, module surface temperature. Thus, it needs the capacity of the inverter to be designed according to the actual module output. In this paper, the first approach to find the actual module output is to analyze the actual PV system monitoring data. Next, four sites where the loss analysis, system utilization, inverter utilization, and the ratio of the inverter overload are performed using PVSYST software. By changing the ratio of the module capacity, the inverter capacity of the site B is confirmed 20% less than the module capacity. Site A, C, D are identified as the ratio of the inverter capacity is 10% less than the module capacity.

  • Unit capacity factor (utilization rate) of nuclear power plants (NPPs) is an important performance indicator. Since the first commercial operation of Kori Unit 1 began in April 1978, the utilization rate of domestic NPPs has gradually increased, reaching 90% from the end of the 1990s. However, due to various issues such as the Fukushima accident in 2011, corrosion of the CLP, the utilization rate dropped to 65~80%. In the early 1980s, the utilization rate of the U.S. NPPs was around 60%. However, since 2004, it has been consistently maintained above 90%. Therefore, in this study, we first examined the causes of declining the utilization rate in domestic NPPs. Next, the significances of the utilization rates are reviewed in five aspects: investment capability, electricity rate, safety and export, etc., with discussion on the current status of the utilization rates in the U.S. Based on this, three key factors are derived as the reasons of the increasing: equipment reliability program, on-line maintenance and the pursuit of institutional rationality. And finally, by synthesizing above results, the measures for increasing the utilization rate of domestic NPPs are proposed in terms of equipment management, institutional improvements, and personnel resources.

  • Density of catalytic organisms can determine the biodegradation capacity and specific biodegradation rate (SBR). A new index, biodegradation capacity utilization (BCU, %), was developed for estimating the extent of actual biodegradation of a gas compound over the full capacity. Three methanotrophic cultures were serially diluted (1-1/25), and methane SBR and BCU were measured. Consistently, biomass reduction increased the SBR and decreased the BCU. Linearity (p < 0.05, r > 0.97) between the BCU and cell density indicated the reflection of biodegradation capacity by BCU. Therefore, BCU is indicative of whether the density of catalytic organisms is pertinent for SBR evaluation of low-soluble gaseous compounds.

  • Based on the results of prototype air-shaft construction, penetration capacity of RBM(Raise Boring Machine) was analyzed and compared with TBM(Tunnel Boring Machine) performance in this study. Utilization, down time, net penetration rate and advance rate were evaluated and compared. By conducting the laboratory tests for rock properties with the analysis of penetration capacity, relation of penetration capacity and geotechnical parameters was studied. The results showed that much more higher value of utilization, however lower value of net penetration rate for RBM was obtained compared to those of TBM. In addition, as the strength of rock penetrated increased, higher value of net penetration rate was obtained contrarily to the results of TBM performance. Finally, new relationship between total hardness and net penetration rate for weak and weathered rock was derived from these results.

  • Purpose: This paper aims to study the fishing capacity of the shrimp trawlers in the Aru and Arafura Sea. Research design, data and Methodology: The abundant shrimp resources call for its sustainable use to advance economic activity. Time-series data of effort and catch from shrimp trawlers from 1980-2015 were utilized. The technical efficiencies of the vessels and the target capacity of the shrimp fishery were estimated using Peak to Peak Method. Results: Arafura's shrimp fishery presents high technical efficiency, which is suggested by the high scores of its fishing capacity utilization. The issuance of a ministerial decree on the prohibition of the use of trawls has impacted the plummeting of Arafura's shrimp trawler production right after the regulation implemented in 2015, which is far below the total production of the Arafura's shrimp trawler in 1980. Today, the Aru and Arafura Sea has different sets of fishing gears that are dominated by Squid Jigging and gillnet vessels. Conclusions: Arafura shrimp fishery performs high technical efficiency, which is indicated by the high utilization value of its catching capacity ranging from 71% to 100% annually from 1980 to 2015 This has shown that the resource-utilization has shifted from shrimps to other economically important species during the post trawl ban such as squid and pelagic. Any future intention to utilize shrimp resources, interaction of gears harvesting shrimp with current gears should be well considered in the policy making process.
