The channel capacity of fadingchannel becomes less than that of Gaussian noise channel. Moreover, the channel capacity of system with modulated signal is expected to be much less than that of system with nonmodulated signal. It is very difficult to evaluate the capacity in fading channel with modulated signal. The channel capacity for M-ary PSK signal has already been derived in Gaussian noise channel but it is very complicate form composed of complex integral formula. In this paper, we have derived the simple form of channel capacity with M-ary PSK signal by using the average symbol error rate. And we also evaluate the capacity in Rician and m-distribution fading channels as well as Gaussian noise channel. We have verified that the channel capacity obtained are almost the same as in other literature. As a results, we show that the channel capacity of M-art PSK signal increases to converge to the number of bits per symbol (log M) as signal to-noise power ratio increases.
New solutions are given for the capacity and spectrum efficiency of frequency hopped spread spectrum multiple access system(FH-SSMA) in a Nakagami interference environment. In this paper we derive a exact formulation of the deletion probability for a mobile environment and analyze the system capacity and spectrum efficiency in terms of the average bit error rate(BER). It is shown that the system capacity is decreased by 52% as the Nakagami fading parameter is reduced to 0.5 and the required signal to noise ratio(SNR) is above 25dB, to get the spectrum efficiency of 0.3.
The presence of tetragonal phase at the surface of $LiMn_2O_4$ pinicle due to a Jahn-Teller offset was previously reported to be one of the causes for capacity fading observed during cycling of $Li//Li_xMn_2O_4$ in 4V range. Further, it is reported that a Jahn-Teller effect in 4V range may be suppressed by substitution of Mn ions with Li ions or other transition metal ions. However, the direct evidence of the suppression of a Jahn-Teller effect in 4V range by substitution of Mn ions with other metal ions has not been reported. The dissolution and formation of surface film at the surface of $LiMn_2O_4$ electrodes also reportedly affect the capacity fading or rate capability. This study reports on the evidence of the onset and suppression of a Jahn-Teller effect in 4V range and the dissolution and formation of surface film at the surface of $LiMn_2O_4$ thin film electrodes using in situ bending beam method (BBM) in situ electrochemical quartz crystal microbalance (EQCM).

The downlink performance of distributed antenna systems (DAS) with antennas selection is investigated in Rayleigh fading multicell environment, and the corresponding system capacity and bit error rate (BER) analysis are presented. Based on the moment generating function, the probability density function (PDF) and cumulative distribution function (CDF) of the effective signal to interference plus noise ratio (SINR) of the system are first derived, respectively. Then, with the available CDF and PDF, the accurate closed-form expressions of average channel capacity and average BER are further derived for exact performance evaluation. To simplify the expression, a simple closed-form approximate expression of average channel capacity is obtained by means of Taylor series expansion, with the performance results close to the accurate expression. Besides, the system outage capacity is analyzed, and an accurate closed-form expression of outage capacity probability is derived. These theoretical expressions can provide good performance evaluation for DAS downlink. It can be shown by simulation that the theoretical analysis and simulation are consistent, and DAS with antenna selection outperforms that with conventional blanket transmission. Moreover, the system performance can be effectively improved as the number of receive antennas increases.

The MC-CDMA(multi-carrier code division multiple access) technique is known to be appropriate for high data-rate wireless communications such as mobile multimedia communication due to its robustness to multipath fading and its capability of handing high data rates with a simple one-tap equalizer. In this paepr, the performance of a MC-CDMA cellular system employing antenna arrays at the based station in a fading channel is presented. It is whown that the interference from other users within the cell can be significantly reduced for both reverse link (mobile to base station) and forward link (base station to mobile) using a MC-CDMA with antenna arrays, thus incresig the system's user-capacity. Computer simulations that demonstrate user-capacity improvement of the proposed approach are discussed.

This paper provides closed form expressions for the evaluation of the end-to-end outage probability, symbol error rate, bit error rate and average capacity of the partial-based Decode-and-Forward (DF) relay selection scheme with an arbitrary number of relays. In a comparison with the performance of systems that exploit Amplify-and-Forward (AF), it can be seen that the performance of our proposed protocol converges to that of partial-based AF relay selection in high SNR regime. We also perform Monte-Carlo simulations to validate the analysis.
The physical security layer of industrial wireless sensor networks in the event of an eavesdropping attack has been investigated in this paper. An optimal sensor selection scheme based on the maximum channel capacity is proposed for transmission environments that experience Nakagami fading. Comparing the intercept probabilities of the traditional round robin (TRR) and optimal sensor selection schemes, the system secure performance is analyzed. Simulation results show that the change in the number of sensors and the eavesdropping ratio affect the convergence rate of the intercept probability. Additionally, the proposed optimal selection scheme has a faster convergence rate compared to the TRR scheduling scheme for the same eavesdropping ratio and number of sensors. This observation is also valid when the Nakagami channel is simplified to a Rayleigh channel.
For high data rate transmission over wireless fading channels, space-time trellis ceding techniques can be employed to increase the Information capacity of the communication system dramatically. In this paper, we consider the concatenated space time LDPC (Low Density Parity Check) codes. Extra ceding gains In addition to the diversity advantage is shown to be achieved for certain space-time trellis codes transmitted over quasi-static lading channels.

Time-reversal (TR) precoding focuses the energy of the effective channel in time and improves receive performance of a single tap receiver. Frequency-domain equal-gain-combining (FD-EGC) TR scheme, which works in linear block precoding fashion, has better temporal focusing performance than the traditional TR. Also, the FD-EGC improves receive performance of minimum mean square error receiver with distributed antenna systems (DAS). The detailed receive performance of the FD-EGC was analyzed in our previous work. In this paper, we focused on capacity analysis of the FD-EGC in DAS. We derived a scaling law which shows how the use of multiple antenna can increase the capacity of the FD-EGC precoding compared with that of no precoding. In addition, we analyze the secrecy rate of the FD-EGC which shows how high-rate messages can be transmitted towards an intended user without being decoded by the other users from the view point of information theoretic security.
