Drawing on an extensive review of the literature on Knowledge-based resource and ambidextrous capability, hypotheses are developed and tested using a sample of 284 SMEs in South Korea. Structural equation modeling was applied. As a result of analysis, first, international entrepreneurship has a significant effect on ambidextrous capability. Second, human capital has significant influence on ambidextrous capability. Third, ambidextrous capability has a significant effect on export performance. The results indicate that their knowledge-based resources ware significant driver of their ambidextrous capability. and that their ambidextrous capability was significant driver of their export performance. In the final conclusion section, implications and limitations of research results and suggestions for future research are discussed.

Also based on the empirical results, give managerial implication to distribution industry and contribute to academies of management. Research design, data and methodology: This study focuses on relationship analysis between global competitive capability and global performance. This study measured global competitive capability with three concepts; human capability, network capability and product/service capability. And measured global performance with export performance. To empirically analyze relationship between variables, this study used 2,316 data of GCL Test by KOTRA and Kdata. This study used SPSS26 and analyzed frequency, reliability, correlation and stepwise regression analysis. Results: Result shows that, in control variable, business period and business field give significant positive influence on export performance. Among antecedents, human capability and network capability give significant positive influence on export performance. However, product/goods/service was not significant. Due to significant influence of business field which is categorical variable. This study additionally analyze relationship by business field group to confirm whether relationship differ by group or similar. Conclusions: Based on the results, this study try to give implication to distribution industry management and contribute to academic.

  • US DoD operated JCIDS(Joint Capability Integration and Development System) for top down requirement generation. Although the JCIDS can be a good practice for the countries which are trying to shift from bottom up to top down requirement generation, it contains many processes related with review and approval. In this study we structured a joint capability integration and development process from the JCIDS eliminating the organization dependent review or approval process so that it can be applied to any organization with some modification. Furthermore we implemented the process in the computer aided systems engineering tool, Cradle, for convenient use of the process. The result of this study can provide a basic process for top down capability development, and an efficient why of doing each element of the process using CASE tool.

  • According to NERC definition, Available Transfer Capability (ATC) is a measure of the transfer capability remaining in the physical transmission network for the future commercial activity. To calculate Available Transfer Capability, accurate and defensible Total Transfer Capability, Capacity Benefit Margin and Transmission Reliability Margin should be calculated in advance. This paper proposes a method to quantify time varying Available Transfer Capability based on probabilistic approach. The uncertainties of power system and market are considered as complex random variables. Total Transfer Capability is determined by optimization technique such as SQP(Sequential Quadratic Programming). Transmission Reliability Margin with the desired probabilistic margin is calculated based on Probabilistic Load Flow analysis, and Capacity Benefit Margin is evaluated using LOLE of the system. Suggested Available Transfer Capability quantification method is verified using IEEE RTS with 72 bus. The proposed method shows efficiency and flexibility for the quantification of Available Transfer Capability.

  • Purpose - This study's the ultimate goal is to analyze competitiveness improvement on multinational enterprises as firstly providing which factors are to strengthen or weaken competitiveness, secondly investigating if hypotheses development and research design is correct and thirdly finding significant implications for research and practices across country specific advantage. Design/methodology - Using feedback data provided by 250 firms, we extracted variable factors and hypotheses, which were empirically carried out by reliability and validity testing, correlation analysis, path analysis, and confirmatory factor analysis to prove which factors are to make the positive effect on the improvement of overseas subsidiaries' management performance and competitiveness. Findings - Through proceeding empirical analysis study, we found out that technology management capability, knowledge management capability, and local management capability had a statistically significant effect on the improvement of overseas subsidiaries' competitiveness, while linked activity capability revealed a negative effect. Originality/value - During business globalization, overseas investments and establishment of overseas subsidiaries have been essential. It is anticipated that this study results would be meaningful for analysis on multinational enterprises' competitiveness and helpful in promoting their entry into Korean market and enhancing their competitiveness. This paper would also help Korea government develops new FDI model and induce more investment from global major companies to Korea region.

  • The importance of the NCS(National Competitiveness Standards) is growing as the job market shrinks and more institutions require hiring based on NCS. Of the ten domains of NCS', the most relevant one with the performance of all tasks is basic capability group. The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of college students' basic capability group(communication capability, mathematical capability) on their career preparation behavior. In this study, we set up a process model to comprehend the effect of college students' basic capability group on career preparation behavior based on social cognitive career theory. For research model testing, 561 questionnaires were used for empirical analysis through structural equations modeling. Empirical analysis showed that communication capability positively influenced college students' career preparation behaviors for employment. But, mathematical capability don't influenced college students' career preparation behaviors for employment. Next, career self-efficacy and career outcome expectation each positively influenced college students' career preparation behaviors for employment. Also, interest in the major positively influenced college students' career preparation behaviors for employment. The academic implications are as follows: Career self-efficacy and interest in the major were important factors in the communication capability. The process of communication capability affecting career preparation behavior and interest in the major was explained through social cognitive career theory and self-efficacy. The practical implications are as follows: Administrative assistance should be provided to improve the career self-efficacy of college students.

  • In the knowledge-based economy, technological capability is critical for the survival and growth of firms. Technological capability differs across firms depending on the structural and environmental conditions. In nature, the evaluation of technological capability is an intractable task and thus previous studies often employ such proxy measures as patent, productivity, or profitability. In this research, we define technological capability as a combination of the above three measures and investigate, by using the multi-variate statistical analysis, the characteristics of technological capability of electronics/IT firms of Korea. We first propose a taxonomy in which firms are classified into four clusters based on the differences in the nature of technological capability. Then, across clusters, we comparatively analyze the relationship between technological capability and structural/environmental factors of firms. Finally, the implications of empirical findings will be discussed. This study is a small-scale, descriptive one but will be extended and elaborated by augmenting the database and/or incorporating more variables.
