캠구동 슬라이더기구의 기구동역학 해석에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Kinetodynamic Analysis for General Disk Cam Driving Slider Mechanisms)

  • Kinetodynamics of a cam driving slider mechanism consists of kinematic analysis and force analysis. The kinematic analysis is to determine the kinematic characteristics of a cam driving mechanism and a slider mechanism. The force analysis is to determine the joint forces of links, the contact forces of the cam and follower, and the driving torque of a main shaft. This paper proposes a close loop method and a tangent substitution method to formulate the relationships of kinematic chains and to calculate the displacement, velocity and acceleration of the cam driving slider mechanism. Also, and instant velocity center method is proposed to determine the cam shape from the geometric relationships of the cam and the roller follower. For dynamic analysis, the contact force and the driving torque of the cam driving slider mechanism are calculated from the required sliding forces, sliding motion and weight of the slider.

  • A tape feeder is an important part to supply a micro chip such as 1005 and 0603 components in SMT process. Traditional sprocket wheel type feeder has several problems such as backlash and indexing errors, low compatibility and confidence. However, it is very difficult to solve such problems due to the inevitable fraction defectives of sprocket wheel. Thus, the object of this works is to develop a linear type high precision tape feeding system using cam-slider mechanism. The proposed cam-slider mechanism is composed of several links and a plate, pneumatic actuator is used to generate linear motion. The proposed mechanism has distinct advantages over the conventional mechanism. It has reduced feeding errors, long lift-cycle, and slim width. As a result, the developed tape feeder using cam-slider mechanism shows special characteristics far high precision feeding for chip-mounters.

  • A tape feeder is an important feeding device to supply micro-chips such as 1005 and 0603 components to PCB in SMT process. Traditionally, tape feeding methods using sprocket wheel mechanism has been used for the pickup system of chip-mounters. However, there is growing needs for new feeding mechanism with high accuracy and confidence as electric components are getting much smaller. Thus, recently, a tape feeder using cam-slider mechanism is developed to meet such requirements. The major advantages of developed system are; significantly reduced indexing and backlash errors, slim and compact design, and improved repetitive capacity compared to existing system. In this paper, the performance evaluation criteria for the developed tape feeder are suggested. Stability against induced vibration, positioning accuracy, cycle time, durability and supply error rate are estimated using developed self testers. As a result, the excellence of developed tape feeding mechanism is validated using the effective rating methods.

  • SIM card socket은 USIM 카드를 휴대폰에 고정시키기 위하여 많이 사용되며 사용자의 편의를 위하여 push-push 기구를 많이 사용하고 있다. Push-push 기구는 하트-캠 구조에 의해 작동되며 사용자가 USIM 카드를 한번 눌러주면 삽입이 되면서 locking, USIM 카드를 다시한번 눌러주면 토출이 되면서 unlocking이 되는 기구이다. Push-push 기구는 주 스프링에 의해 구동되는데 주 스프링에 의해 캠 슬라이더와 캠 스틱에 응력이 발생하여 기구가 파손되기도 한다. 따라서 push-push 기구 동작 시 발생하는 응력을 반드시 고려한 기구 설계가 필요하다. 기존의 기구 설계 방식은 정적인 응력해석 결과만 사용한 방식을 사용하였다. 하지만 기구 특성상 동작 시 충격력이 반드시 발생하기 때문에 충격력에 의해 발생하는 동응력을 해석하고 기구 설계에 반영하여야 한다. 본 논문에서는 push-push 기구 동작 시 발생하는 동응력 해석을 위하여 push-push 기구의 유연 다물체 동역학 모델을 개발하고 기구 동작 시 발생하는 동응력을 해석하였다.

계란선별기 파커홀더 캠 개발 (Cam Design of Packer Holder in Egg Grading Machine)

  • Egg grading machine is used in poultry raising industry to classify eggs by their weight and to pack up them. Packer holder mechanism is a main part of the egg grading machine, of which role is to take eggs fallen from conveyor belt, and afterward to transfer eggs vertically to mold tray. The vertical motion of packer holder is usually driven by slider-crank mechanism or cam. This paper describes development of the cam in packer holder based on kinematic analysis of packer holder mechanism and measurement of acceleration and noise of the cam to verify performance of it. Several cams that are designed and manufactured by the author of this paper according to different design specification are compared to determine the best solution for egg transfer in the packer holder mechanism.

타원계 엽형기어의 설계 및 동특성에 관한 연구 (Design of Elliptical Lobe Type Gear with Involute Profile)

  • Noncircular gears have been used for obtaining the modified anglualr velocity ratio between parallel axes. The elliptical gear, which is a kind of noncircular gears, makes use of ellipse as a pitch curve, and is applied for the measurement of the discharge of liquid. The applications of an elliptical gear are more advantageous than any other mechanism as like a crank-slider linkage or a cam mechanism in view of the accuracy and the reliability to transmit the prescribed motion. In this paper, acceding to the theoretical involute tooth profile, two pairs of the elliptical gears were manufactured by using CNC wire electronic discharge machine. The proper ranges of the operating pressure angle and of module not to generate under cutting are studied on the change of the eccentricity, because it is the eccentricity of the pitch curve that determines most of the characteristics of the elliptical gear and then the vibration analysis is executed for the verification of harmonious rotating.

칩마운터의 직진 테이프 피더 설계 및 평가 (Mechanical Design and Evaluation of Linear Tape Feeder for Chip Mounter)

  • This paper introduces a new type of mechanical tape feeder for chip mounter. The mechanical feeder is composed of a pneumatic linear actuator and a linear feeding module with the application of a cam-slider. As semiconductor chips are getting smaller, PCB assembly makers require the feeder to position the chip with high accuracy. The linear feeding system improves the positioning accuracy of the chip by getting rid of the index error, which brings into existence on the sprocket rotating feeder. It also can make greatly reduce the dumping rate. The dumping error is caused by the impact occurred as the pawl to interrupt ratchet wheel rotation. The paper discusses its mechanism and mechanical performance. The positioning accuracy and the dynamic characteristic were measured for long time operation and analyzed. As a result, the feeder showed very good performance. However, the feeding system was dynamically unstable due to the cover film eliminator that is required to be modified
