  • The purpose of this study is to suggest economic analysis for piezoelectric power. Economic analysis method uses california standard test. Perspectives of california standard test is participant test, ratepayer impact measure test, program administrator cost test and total resource cost test. This study identifies the cost and benefit components. This study identifies benefit-cost calculation procedures from four test : participant test, ratepayer impact measure test, program administrator cost test and total resource cost test. In the economic analysis, the order of benefit cost ratio in piezoelectric power shows total resource cost test, program administrator cost test, ratepayer impact measure test and participant test.

  • Jet Propulsion Laboratory has traditionally performed system level vibration testing of flight spacecraft. There have been many discussions in the aerospace community for more than a decade about spacecraft vibration testing benefits or lack thereof. The benefits and potential issues of fully assembled flight spacecraft vibration testing are discussed herein. The following specific topics are discussed: spacecraft screening test to uncover workmanship problems for launch dynamics environments, force- and moment-limited vibration testing, potential issues with structural frequency identification using base shake test data, and failures related to vibration shaker testing and ways to prevent them.

  • There are some efforts to improve the performance of electrical heat pump(EHP) and replace it with an alternative cooling equipment such as gas engine-driven heat pump(GHP), a gas cooling equipment, in order to solve the problem of summer electricity supply through reducing the summer electricity peak. This paper analyzes cost-benefit in accordance with replacement of electrical cooling system by gas cooling system using california standard test and sensitivity analysis of some scenarios.

  • Recently, all-electric house technology became one of the green growth technologies and is integrated with various areas such as electricity, machinery, architecture, material, and etc. Fossil fuel energy is used for heating and hot water supply in the conventional houses but electricity is adopted in the new conceptual houses to maximize advantages of electricity such as amenity, safety, cleanness, and so on. In this paper, an economic analysis is carried out when LED lightings are adopted using the California Standard Practice Test which has been used to estimate the effects of existing DSM (Demand Side Management) programs. The results are able to contribute to the diffusion of all-electric houses and the establishment of basic data and planning for DSM policies.

  • In order to investigate modified Hayden test for mastitis test milk Samples from 120 cows (total 470 of quarters) were tested by this method. The tests were performed by different lactation age group, different calving frequency and their total quarters. Comparision of results were made between the modified Hayden method and the California Mastitis Test. The results obtained were as follows: 1. Ratio of results of mastitis test between modified Hayden method and California Mastitis Test was 1.1:1.0. 2. Incidence rate of mastitis in different Lactation age group shown 78.5% in 7 to 9 year group, 50% in 4 to 6 year age group and 37.5% in up to 3 year age group, respectively. 3. Incidence rate of mastitis with calving frequency, were 13.5% in 1 to 2 calving frequency group, 83.3% in 3 to 4 calving frequency group and 63.6% in 5 to 6 calving frequency group respectively. 4. Mastitis ratio between rear quarters and front quaters were 1.7:1.0. 5. It is probable that modified Hayden was more sensitive than the California mastitis test in detecting subclinical and clinical mastitis.

  • This study was to analyze characteristics of soils reinforced by FPF(Fibrillated Polypropylene Fiber). Laboratory test, model test and field tests were performed on soils reinforced by fibers, to evaluate the shear strength characteristics. For the silty sand, clayey sand and silty clay, the influence of fiber shape, fiber length and fiber content were evaluated from compaction test, direct shear test, uniaxial test, california bearing ratio(CBR) test. Fibrillated type fiber, 5cm long with a content of 0.5% shows 5∼30% increase of friction angle and 7∼55 percent increase of CBR value.

  • The diagnostic effects of the Modified Whiteside Test(M.W.T.) and the California Mastitis Test(C.M.T.) for detection of bovine mastitis were studied using 372 quarter milk samples collected from six dairy herds in suburbs of Suwon city in order to compare the effectiveness of the two methods. The leucocyte count and bacteriological observation were also performed to support analysing the results. The results obtained were as follows; 1. The CMT showed more specificity than MWT for leucocytes in the abnormal milk. 2. When comparison was based on Identical ratings, agreement was obtained in 56.4% of the samples. The stronger reaction had the higher agreement and the CMT was found to be more specific than MWT in detection of the sub-clinical mastitis. 3. The CMT reaction was instantaneous and sufficiently clear-cut. 4. The results of the CMT leucocyte count and bacteriological observation were completely agreed in 69.9% of the samples. When degrees of reaction and the leucocyte count were considered, the CMT showed agreement in 93.5% of the samples.
