질화유리의 고속충돌 저항물성 (A Resistance Property Against High Velocity Impact on Oxynitride Glasses)

  • Several oxynitride glasses were fabricated by means of adding $Si_3N_4$ powders as nitrogen source to Ca-Al-Si-O-N (CAS) and Mg-Al-Si-O-N (MAS) glass powders, and heat-treated in graphite crucible at 1600$^{\circ}C$ for 1 h. The physical and mechanical properties as well as impact resistance were generally increased and compared with each other. The impact resistance properties of those manufactured glasses were evaluated by DOP (depth of penetration) method which is a way to analyze armor materials. There were two means to be used herein; the copper jet impacted at hyper velocity by exploding K2l5 warhead and tungsten heavy alloy (WHA) impact bar at high velocity by firing in 30 mm solid propellent gun. The impact resistance properties against copper jet were increased and then decreased with increasing nitrogen content, while those against WHA bar were not changed apparently with nitrogen content.

전류인입선 응용을 위한 BSCCO 초전도 튜브의 제조 (Fabrication of BSCCO Superconductor Tube for Current Lead Application)

  • $Bi_2Sr_2Ca_1Cu_2O_x$(BSCCO 2212) superconductors for current lead were fabricated by centrifugal melting process(CMP). BSCCO 2212 powder was melted at $1200^{\circ}\C$ in a resistance furnace using a Pt crucible and poured in a rotating cylindrical mold preheated at $550^{\circ}\C$ for 2 hour. The solidified BSCCO-2212 samples were heat-treated by partial melting process in oxygen atmosphere. The current-voltage curves at 77 K of the samples were obtained by transport measurement, and the microstructure was investigated by scanning electron microscope. The $J_c$ values at 77 K of the tubes partially melted at $840^{\circ}C,\;860^{\circ}C\;and\;880^{\circ}C$ were 492, 430 and 398 $A/cm^2$, respectively. It was observed that the plate-like grains in BSCCO 2212 tube was more developed in the sample heat-treated at $840^{\circ}C$. It was found that the critical current of the BSCCO 2212 samples was dependent on the partial melting schedule regarding the grain shape and size of the BSCCO 2212.

부여 쌍북리유적 출토 백제 도가니 내부 유리 및 청동 용융물질의 정량분석과 고고과학적 해석 (Quantitative Analysis and Archaeometric Interpretation for Molten Glass and Bronze Materials within Baekje Crucibles from the Ssangbukri Site in Buyeo, Korea)

  • 이 연구는 부여 쌍북리유적에서 출토된 도가니 내부 유리 및 청동용융물질과 금동보살입상의 재료학적 특성 및 고고과학적 상관관계를 규명한 것이다. 도가니 내부의 유리질 용융물질은 주로 황록색과 적갈색을 띠는 PbO-$SiO_2$계의 납유리로서 바륨과 안정제의 함량이 낮은 특징이 있다. 금속용융물질은 Cu, Sn, Pb의 합금으로 이루어진 청동으로 밝혀졌으며, 낮은 불순물 함량으로 미루어 고순도로 정련된 구리를 이용하여 제작되었음을 알 수 있다. 주석의 원광석으로는 석석이 이용된 것으로 판단된다. 금동보살입상의 청동소지도 구리의 함량이 높고 불순물의 함량이 낮아 고도로 정련된 원료를 사용하였으며, 쌍북리 유적의 공방에서 숙련된 기술을 바탕으로 제작되었을 가능성이 충분하다. 또한 표면에는 고순도의 금을 아말감기법으로 도금한 것으로 밝혀졌다. 한편 도가니 내 납유리와 청동물질 및 금동보살입상의 납동위원소비는 일관된 결과를 보여주지 않는 것으로 보아 납광석의 원산지 해석에는 무리가 있는 것으로 판단된다.

CMP 방법으로 제조한 BSCCO 2212 튜브의 임계전류특성에 미치는 열처리 온도의 영향 (Effects of Heat-treatment Temperature on the Critical Current of BSCCO 2212 Tube Prepared by CMP Method)

  • [$Bi_2Sr_2Ca_1Cu_2O_x$](BSCCO 2212) tubes were fabricated by centrifugal melting process(CMP). BSCCO 2212 powder was melted in a Pt crucible and solidified in a rotating steel mold. The BSCCO 2212 tube samples separated from steel mold were heat-treated at $800^{\circ}C\;and\;810^{\circ}C$ in oxygen flow. The critical current($I_c$) of the samples was measured by transport measurement at 77K, and the microstructure was investigated by scanning electron microscope. The $J_c$ at 77K of the tubes heated treated at $800^{\circ}C\;and\;810^{\circ}C$ were 197 and 240 $A/cm^2$, respectively. It was observed that the plate like grains in BSCCO 2212 tube was more developed in the sample heat treated at $810^{\circ}C\;and\;800^{\circ}C$ heated tube. It is found that the critical current($I_c$) of the BSCCO 2212 sample was dependent on the heating schedule regarding the growth of the BSCCO 2212 grains.
