Electrical Properties of Eco-Friendly RuO2-Based Thick-Film Resistors Containing CaO-ZnO-B2O3-Al2O3-SiO2 계 유리가 적용된 질화알루미늄 기판용 RuO2계 친환경 후막저항의 전기적 특성 연구 (Electrical Properties of Eco-Friendly RuO2-Based Thick-Film Resistors Containing CaO-ZnO-B2O3-Al2O3-SiO2 System Glass for AlN Substrate)

  • The objective of this study is to prepare lead-free thick film resistor (TFR) paste compatible with AlN substrate for hybrid microelectronics. For this purpose, CaO-ZnO-$B_2O_3-Al_2O_3-SiO_2$ glass system was chosen as a sintering aid of $RuO_2$. The effects of the weight ratio of CaO to ZnO in glass composition, the glass content and the sintering temperature on the electrical properties of TFR were investigated. $RuO_2$ as a conductive and glass powder were dispersed in an organic binder to obtain printable paste and then thick-film was formed by screen printing, followed by sintering at the range between $750^{\circ}C$ and $900^{\circ}C$ for 10 min with a heating rate of $50^{\circ}C$/min in an ambient atmosphere. The addition of ZnO to glass composition and sintering at higher temperature resulted in increasing sheet resistance and decreasing temperature coefficient of resistance. Using $RuO_2$-based resistor paste containing 40 wt%glass of CaO-20.5%ZnO-25%$B_2O_3$-7%$Al_2O_3$-15%$SiO_2$ composition, it is possible to produce thick film resistor on AlN substrate with sheet resistance of $10.6\Omega/\spuare$ and the temperature coefficient of resistance of 702ppm/$^{\circ}C$ after sintering at $850^{\circ}C$.

  • The effects of $B_2O_3-SiO_2-R(R;CaO,\;BaO,\;ZnO,\;Bi_2O_3)$ borosilicate glass system on the sintering behavior and microwave dielectric properties of ceramic/glass composites were investigated as functions of modifier, glass addition ($30{\sim}50\;vol%$) and sintering temperature ($500{\sim}900^{\circ}C$ for 2 hrs). The addition of 50 and 45 vol% glass ensured successful sintering below $900^{\circ}C$. Sintering characteristics of the composites were well described in terms of modifier. Borosilicate glass enhanced the reaction with $Al_{2}O_{3}$ to form pores, second phases and liquid phases, which was responsible to component of modifier. Dielectric constant (${\varepsilon}_{r},\;Q{\times}f_{o}$) and temperature coefficient of resonant frequency (${\tau}_{f}$) of the composite with 50 and 45 vol% glass contents($B_{2}O_{3}:SiO_{2}:R=25:10:65$) demonstrated A-CaBS(7.8, 2,560 GHz, -81ppm/$^{\circ}C$), A-BaBs(5.8, 3.130 GHz, -64 ppm/$^{\circ}C$), A-ZnBS(5.7, 17,800 GHz, -21 ppm/$^{\circ}C$), A-BiBs(45 vol% glass in total)(8.3, 2,700 GHz, -45 ppm/$^{\circ}C$) which is applicable to substrate requiring an low dielectric properties.

Thermal Expansion and Dielectric Properties of CaO-ZnO-B2O3-SiO2 Glass-Added Al2O3 Composites for LTCC Applications

  • Varying quantities of a high-thermal-expansion glass, 50CaO-20ZnO-$20B_2O_3-10SiO_2$ (CZBS), were added to alumina and sintered at $875^{\circ}C$ for 2 h for low temperature co-firing ceramic (LTCC) applications. As the amount of glass addition increased from 40 wt% to 70 wt%, the apparent density of the sintered product increased from 88.8% to 91.5%, which was also qualitatively confirmed by microstructural observation. When the glass addition was very high, e.g., 70 wt%, an apparent formation of secondary phases such as $CaZn_2AlZnSiAlO_7$, $Ca_2Al(AlSi)O_7$, $Ca_2Al_2SiO_7$, $Ca_2ZnSi_2O_7$ and ZnO, was observed. Both the dielectric constant and the coefficient of thermal expansion increased with the glass addition, which was qualitatively consistent with the analytical models, while the experimental values were lower than the predicted ones due to the presence of pores and secondary phases.

  • Recently, new extraction technology for manganese nodule has been developed as alternative noble metallic resources. It is important to understand thermodynamic behaviors of phosphorus in low basic slag system from the viewpoint of the refining processing optimization. Thermodynamic behaviors of phosphorus in the $FeO-MnO-CaO-SiO_2-MgO_{satd.}$ slag system were investigated at 1723 K with various oxygen potential and slag composition of low basicity. The experimental results for dependence of phosphorus on oxygen potential and slag basicity indicated that the dissolution mechanism of phosphorus into slag of low basicity could be derived as follows; $[P]+5/4O_2+(O^{2-})=({PO_{3.5}}^{2-})$ Present experimental results implied that stability of phosphorus in slag would be depended on both of $O^{2-}$ (basicity) and content of $Ca^{2+}$ in molten slag. The thermodynamic effect of FeO, MnO and $Na_2O$ on low basicity on phosphate capacity was discussed.

분무열분해법에 의해 제조된(Ca, Sr)2MgSi2O7:Eu2+ 형광체의 발광 특성 (Photoluminescence Characteristics of (Ca, Sr)2MgSi2O7:Eu2+ Phosphor Particles Prepared by Spray Pyrolysis)

  • 분무열분해법을 이용하여$(Ca,Sr)_{2-y}MgSi_2O_7:Eu^{2+}{_y}$ 형광체 분말을 제조하고 $Eu^{2+}$의 농도, 후열처리온도 변화 및 Ca/Sr 비에 따른 발광특성을 조사하였다. 또한, Ca/Sr의 비를 변화시켜 발광특성의 변화를 관찰하였다. $Ca_2MgSi_2O_7$$Sr_2MgSi_2O_7$ 분말 모두 $1,000^{\circ}C$ 이상의 온도에서 열처리를 했을 때 순수한 정방정계 상이 제조되었다. $Ca_2MgSi_2O_7:Eu^{2+}{_y}$ 녹색 형광체는 $Eu^{2+}(y)$의 농도가 5 mol%, 후열처리 온도가 $1,250^{\circ}C$ 일 때 가장 높은 발광 강도는 보였다. ${(Ca_{1-x},Sr_x)}_{1.95}MgSi_2O_7:{Eu^{2+}}_{0.05}$의 발광 파장은 Sr의 농도가 증가함에 따른 결정장 감소로 인해 524nm에서 456nm로 점진적으로 blue shift 되었다. $Sr_2MgSi_2O_7:Eu^{2+}$는 Sr 자리에 약 10 mol% Ca를 치환시킴으로써 청색 형광체의 발광 강도는 크게 향상되었다. 제조된 분말들은 치밀하지 못하고 다공성 구조를 가져 후열처리 전에는 구형을 유지하였으나 열처리($900{\sim}1,300^{\circ}C$) 후에는 구형의 형상을 잃고 입자들 간의 응집이 발생하였다.

  • 최근 각광받고 있는 디지털 프린팅을 이용한 디자인 기법은 세밀한 표현과 다양한 이미지 구현이 가능하고, 원료의 낭비가 적어 효율성이 높은 장점을 가지고 있다. 디지털 프린팅 공정에서는 cyan, magenta, yellow, black이 기본적인 디지털 4원색으로 사용되며, 도자제품에 적용되는 세라믹 안료의 경우 $1000^{\circ}C$ 이상의 고온 소성이 가능하도록 우수한 열적, 유약 안정성과 발색 특성이 요구된다. 본 연구에서는 고상합성법을 이용하여 $CaO-SnO_2-Cr_2O_3-SiO_2$ 조성의 pink-red 고온발색 무기안료를 합성하였다. $Ca(Sn,Cr)SiO_5$ 세라믹 안료의 합성 조건에 따른 물성을 XRD, SEM, PSA, FT-IR를 이용하여 분석하였고, Cr 치환량 변화가 $Ca(Sn,Cr)SiO_5$ 무기 안료의 발색 거동에 미치는 영향을 Uv-vis.와 CIE 표색계 값($L^*a^*b^*$)을 기준으로 한 색도측정을 통해 관찰하였다.

  • This paper is studies the effects of additives on the magnetic properties of Sr-ferrite. The specimens have been composed of SrO and Fe$_2$O$_3$with ratio of 1:5.9. As 1st additives, it is mixed to 0.2wt%, 0.7wt% and 1wt% of CaCo$_3$with 0.3wt% SiO$_2$. As 2nd addition, it is mixed to 0.5wt%, 1wt% of Na$_2$SiO$_3$, 0.5wt%, 1wt% of Cr$_2$O$_3$and 0.5wt%, 1wt% of Al$_2$O$_3$and sintering conditions was carried out at 1210$^{\circ}C$, 1230$^{\circ}C$ and 1250$^{\circ}C$. From experiments on the magnetic properties of specimen, the results were shown follows; (1) In case of additive SiO$_2$and CaO, it is stable magnetoplumbite structure for liquid phase grown, enhances mignetic propertics. (2) In case of basic compositions + 0.5wt% Al$_2$O$_3$, it is confirmed better properties by increasing of the coercivity than 0.5wt% Cr$_2$O$_3$additives. (3) In case of mixed additives of Cr$_2$O$_3$and Al$_2$O$_3$, magnetic propeties decrease with sintering density.

용선예비처리용 $Al_2O_3-SiC-C$계 내화물 개발 (Development of $Al_2O_3-SiC-C$ Refractory for Hot Metal Pretreatment)

  • As there is a growing trend to make high quality steel improving production efficiency and utilizing slag as resources the technologies of hot metal pretreatment have been progressed to meet these demands. Although mill scale $Na_2CO_3$ and CaO used as fluxes proved to be excellent agents then can severely corrode refractories such as chamotte and high alumina for torpedo or open ladle car. Thus it was considered necessary to develop new refractories which can endure suchy conditions. Desulfurization fluxes vastly used in POSCO are $CaCO_3$ and CaO Recent trials have been made by testing phenol resin bonded $Al_2O_3-SiC-C$ bricks in torpedo ladle car for hot metal pretreatment. The results showed that the life of this brick became about 1.2 times longer than that of foreign products. And the crushing strength M.O.R corrosion resistance and oxidation resistance were tested.

소다석회유리에서 Al2O3가 isokom 온도에 미치는 영향 (The effect of Al2O3 on the isokom temperatures in soda-lime glass)

  • 소다석회유리에서 Al2O3가 isokom 온도에 미치는 영향을 Lakatos 모델을 이용하여 분석하였다. Na2O와 CaO의 함량이 같고 SiO2의 양이 0.5 mol% 감소하고 Al2O3 양이 0.5 mol% 증가했을 때 isokom 온도는 log η = 12.3, 10, 6.6, 1에서 각각 3.1, 3.3, 3.6, 7.2℃ 높아졌다. 한편, SiO2와 Na2O의 함양이 같고 CaO가 0.5 mol% 감소하고 Al2O3가 0.5 mol% 증가한 경우는 log η = 12.3, 10, 6.6, 1에서 각각 1.6, 2.3, 4.1, 17.7℃ isokom 온도가 높아졌다.

CaO MgO.$2SiO_2-Al_2O_3$ 계의 고용체 생성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Forming of Solid Solution in CaO.MgO.$2SiO_2-Al_2O_3$ System)

  • This experiment was studied in the system of (1-x) CaO MgO $2SiO-Al_2O_3$ to investigate forming of solid solution. The technique empolyed was the well known water-quenching method. Differential thermal analysis of the each glass water quenched indicated that under 30 mole% $Al_2O_3$ was lowered with increasing of the amount of $Al_2O_3$ It was supposed by X-ray diffraction patterns of each specimen sintered at various temperature that only solid solution was formed under the 30mole % $Al_2O_3$ compositions solid solution and anorthite were formed at the 20mole% $Al_2O_3$ composition anorthite solid solution and spinel$(MgAl_2O_4)$ were formed over the 40mole% $Al_2O_3$ compositions. The maximum density and thermal expanison coefficient was 2.89g/cm 7.74x106./C$^{\circ}$ respectively in the composi-tion of 10 mole% $Al_2O_3$ . All the specimens showed linear thermal expansion behavior. Microhardness was as high as 850kg/nm2 in the composition of 5, 10, 20 mole % $Al_2O_3$ and dielectric constant was 7.3-6.9.
